Procedure has already been executed [PB 11.5]

I have been having a big issue.
I am using SQL Server 2005 and PowerBuilder 11.5
I have added a call to a procedure (lets say proc1) in my PB app which contains a cursor that calls another procedure (lets say proc2). Proc2 is an intense procedure I use often during the everyday operations of the application. It contains Begin Tran sections.
After Proc1 is being executed, the first time I get to write to the database I get a mysterious "Procedure has already been executed".
The first thing that crossed my mind was that a TRAN has been left uncommitted.
But I did DBCC OPENTRAN and SELECT @@TRANCOUNT during several stages of the operation which, to my disappointment, returned 0. So no open TRAN exists.
Have u guys got a clue of what to look? This thing is making me crazy...

Hi!
My declaration inside PB is:
DECLARE C PROCEDURE FOR proc1;
EXECUTE C;
So this is the declaration of the function which calls Proc1 from inside my PB app.
Inside Proc1 there is a Cursor that calls Proc2 as many times as needed for the operation.
After that...chaos

  • How to solve the "procedure has not been executed or has no result" error

    Recently we are getting the "procedure has not been executed or has no result" error while executing Procedures and Dynamic SQL queries in our PowerBuilder 12.5 Application. Can anyone  diagnose the cause of such error messages? Better still can someone help us in finding the resolution for this issue?
    Thanks in advance!

    The Database is SQL Server. Here follows the error details:
    ERROR Code: -1
    ERROR Text: procedure has not been executed or has no result
    Row Count:  0
    Terminating application-
    I am not even sure if the error is from Database or from Powerbuilder itself. The code is a simple call to a procedure:
    DECLARE setRequestStatus PROCEDURE FOR sRequestStatus
            // parameters here
    USING SQLCA;
    EXECUTE setRequestStatus;

    This is no string http in your procedure. Then again the error message points to a line 47 outside a stored procedure. I can't tell it is outside, since there is no procedure name.
    But I see that you have this piece of dynamic SQL:
    SET @sql = ' EXEC msdb.dbo.sp_send_dbmail @profile_name = ''DBA_mail_test''
    ,@recipients = ''' + isnull(@recipients1,'''') + ''',@subject = ''' + isnull(@mailheader,'''') + ''',
    @body = ''' +isnull(@tableHTML,'''')+ ''',
    @body_format = ''HTML'''
     Exec(@sql)
    Why is this dynamic SQL at all? Why not just make plain call to sp_send_dbmail?
     EXEC msdb.dbo.sp_send_dbmail @profile_name = 'DBA_mail_test'
    ,@recipients = @recipients1, @subject = @mailheader, @body = @tableHTML

  • Upgrade 4.5B to 4.7 -- ERROR: "VBAK has already been declared".

    Dear Friends,
    After upgrade 4.5B to 4.7, there is the same ERROR when executing most of SD transaction and creating/displaying/modifying PO and GR.
    This error is related to SD pricing procedure. In the ABAP error dump said that: VBAK has already been declared. I have tried to look for SAP Notes but cannot find one.
    I think this problem is a common problem in upgrading from 4.X to 4.7. Need help from you guys who ever have upgrading experience.. : )
    Does anyone know on how to FIX this problem?
    Cheers,
    Will
    THE ABAP DUMP is as below:
    ===============================================
    Syntax error in program "SAPLV61A ".
    What happened?
    The following syntax error occurred in the program SAPLV61A :
    ""VBAK" has already been declared."
    Error in ABAP application program.
    The current ABAP program "SAPLMEPO" had to be terminated because one of the
    statements could not be executed.
    This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
    What can you do?
    Please eliminate the error by performing a syntax check
    (or an extended program check) on the program "SAPLV61A ".
    You can also perform the syntax check from the ABAP/4 Editor.
    If the problem persists, proceed as follows:
    Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
    and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
    error.
    To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
    You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
    termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
    date.
    Error analysis
    The following syntax error was found in the program SAPLV61A :
    ""VBAK" has already been declared."
    How to correct the error
    Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
    If you cannot solve the problem yourself, please send the
    following documents to SAP:
    1. A hard copy print describing the problem.
    To obtain this, select the "Print" function on the current screen.
    2. A suitable hardcopy prinout of the system log.
    To obtain this, call the system log with Transaction SM21
    and select the "Print" function to print out the relevant
    part.
    3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
    supply the source code.
    To do this, you can either use the "PRINT" command in the editor or
    print the programs using the report RSINCL00.
    4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
    or which actions and input led to the error.
    Information on where terminated
    The termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLMEPO" in "REFRESH_TABLES".
    The main program was "RM_MEPO_GUI ".
    The termination occurred in line 35 of the source code of the (Include)
    program "MM06EF0R_REFRESH_TABLES"
    of the source code of program "MM06EF0R_REFRESH_TABLES" (when calling the
    editor 350).

  • 8Z 775 Error Asset ... has already been revaluated; no futher postings can

    Hi gurus,
    I wrote because I have a problem with transaction J1AI.
    I'm from Chile and I'm working with 8.928 assets in SAP R/3 6.0.
    My problem is when I run J1AI transaction just 7.600 assets are
    revaluated, but 1.328 have the following message:
    Asset xxxxx has already been revaluated; no futher postings can be made
    Message no. 8Z775
    Diagnosis
    +You have already revaluated asset xxxx (subnumber xxx). You cannot make
    a difference posting in the period you have chosen, either because the
    asset has already reached the end of its useful life or you have changed
    the useful life in the asset master.+
    Procedure
    +The values that you are trying to post would lead to inconsistencies in
    the system. It is possible that you may have recently changed the
    Customizing data or asset master data. However, if you still wish to
    proceed with the posting, reverse the accounting documents for the period
    in question and execute the Asset Revaluation program again.+
    The problem is that I've not made changes in the Customizing or in the
    asset master data.
    I've been looking a SAP Note but I didn't find anything. Somebody of you can give me a hand?
    Greetings Marco

    Dear Marco,
    Please check few things as under:
    1. Normally the document which get posted appears in Asset Exploer AW01N.
    2. Transaction J1AI has a optioon to post directly or through batch input, in case of batch input it creates a batch input session which one has to execute in transaction SM35. If you no one has executed SM35 session would essentially mean, no entry got posted.
    3. If someone has posted directly without batch input then you can check the postings througn table ANEK by inputing Company Code and user who has posted it.
    4. Also similarly you can check BKPF table for FI postings.
    5. You can also check SM35 about the sessions as it is available even after the transaction got posted thourgh sessions execution.
    Not withstanding the above, it appears that no documnets have been posted yet otherwise it would have appear in the asset.
    If the above does not resolve your issue then perheps one need system access to check the possibility, advise you to raise with SAP through OSS message.
    Thanks!!!

    hi
              We just encountered this problem while load testing using JMeter. While it may not be the same scenario, we have found that we can consistently trigger this error if:
              a) multiple threads from the same client are invoking the service (i.e. a JMeter using JavaSamplerClient can do this)
              b) the web service is conversational according to the polling design pattern recommended in the WLW doco: i.e.
              startQuery()(one-way) conversation phase = start
              checkQueryStatus() conversation phase = continue
              fetchQueryResponse()conversation phase = finish
              c) buffering is enabled for the startQuery() operation.
              d) the number of threads > 3 (might occur very infrequently <= 3 - cant remember)
              This is reproducable in our WLS/WLW 8.1 SP2/SP3 environment.
              With buffering enabled - errors occur
              With buffering not enabled - no errors
              On reflection, buffering isn't really needed for our usage so we removed it, however the errors might indicate a bug or unsupported use case

    Weblogic is installed in Solaris machine and welogic's version is 10.3.4.0 with Java version 1.6.0 update 33. I have checked the firewall, /etc/hosts but there are no issues with that.
    The JNDI Connection URL is configure like: t3://xx.xxx.x.xx,xx.xxx.x.xx:7001/
    I have tried giving like this also: t3://xx.xxx.x.xx:7001,xx.xxx.x.xx:7001/ or t3://hostname1,hostname2:7001/ or t3://hostname1:7001,hostname2:7001/
    but nothing worked.
    The foreign servers are accessible from my Application Server when I do the telnet on the port. There is no cross domain security required. Funny thing is I have a same set-up in two other application server (in cluster again) and there on configuring the Foreign server to same IPs, I am not facing any issues at all.
    Can anyone please help me with this. Searched all over the place but have no clue regarding this. Many forums mentioned about firewall and etc/hosts but that is also not case it seems.

  • Get this error: It appears that the feed has already been submitted

    I have a podcast named Thorborgs Talkshow.
    It was listed in iTunes but Feedburner changed URL's and now I just can't find my show and when i submit my URL:
    http://feeds.feedburner.com/thorborgstalkshow
    I get the: It appears that the feed has already been submitted
    What can I do?
    Cheers
    Martin

    iTunes knows your podcast only from the feed, not from anything else. If you try to submit from a new URL then iTunes sees this as a new podcast, and if it has the same name as an existing podcast then it will not permit it. There is a procedure for changing a feed's URL:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/whatson/podcasts/specs.html#changing
    but it requires you to have access to the original feed in order to add a tag to it instructing iTunes to move to a new feed.
    You have only two alternatives: add this tag to the old feed - which knowing Feedburner is likely to be difficult if not impossible: or submit the new feed URL with a slightly changed Title.
    However I do think that Feedburner ought to explain to you what they've been playing at, and it does sound as if you may have legitimate grounds for protesting to them and asking them to sort it out - though I can't predict the likelihood of success in this.

  • WLS 9.2:  Interpreting the error - This RJVM has already been shutdown

    Hi,
    I have encountered the error message (stacktrace below) in one of the managed servers of my Weblogic 9.2 cluster (containing 4 managed servers). There are ALSB proxies consuming and producing to JMS distributed queues on the cluster.
    The server reporting this error (server01_01) is complaining about the Remote JVM of the other servers (server01_02, 02_01, 02_02) being shutdown, but what I have observed is that server01_01 was killed by the Nodemanager(may be due to failure or being unavailable).
    I would like to know:
    1) When does this error occur usually?
    2) How is it different from "weblogic.jms.common.LostServerException: [JMSClientExceptions:055169]Network connection to server was lost."?
    3) Why did I get an error complaining about the other healthy servers when actually the problem is with the server reporting the error?
    Any hints are appreciated.

    EJB keep traks of Bea CLUSTER using JVMID as an identifier of each manged server's JVM. When this JVMID is no longer valid, you can see "JVM is already been shutdowm" as client exception. This issue happen when, on client side, EJB can't recognize server side JVM shutdown. In WLS 8.1 there was a PATCH to solve this problem. Ask to Bea support if you need a patch also for WLS 9.2.

    Hi,
    Problem might be that your statement times out or your connection is getting closed when the statement executes.

    Hi,
    the RMS is "Root Management Server". When you install first management server it becomes RMS. The RMS is relevant in SCOM 2007x management group. You can identify which server is RMS in administration console under management server view. Look for instance
    with "yes" value in "Is RMS" column.
    If you have SCOM 2012x version management group create sugested registry entrys on all management servers (MS) which executes command channel.
    This will surely solve your
    problem.

  • ChaRM: Incorrect message "request has already been released"

    Hello experts!
    I have a fresh working ChaRM implementation and facing an error that SOMETIMES happens. ChaRM cannot release a transport request, with all tasks released, and an error message is shown in SCMA:
    "Transport request DLDK959614 can no longer be changed
    Message no. /TMWFLOW/TRANSPORT_N643
    Diagnosis
    The request DLDK959614 has already been released.
    System Response
    The system does not allow you to create a transport of copies.
    Procedure
    It is not usually necessary to create a transport of copies for a request that has already been released. Perhaps you entered an incorrect request, in which case you have to enter a different one."
    In fact the transport request IS NOT REALESED. The workaround I am using is to momentarily allow the "manual" release via SE09. And then I follow the normal process until reach the production environment.
    I could not find anything wrong with those transport orders. The only fact that made me think a while is that a new task list was created.
    Does anyone have a clue?
    Thanks!
