    I am trying to upload a pdf file into a blob column of a table. I get this error with these three ways of doing that:Warning: Procedure created with compilation errors.

    In the second load_file procedure you should probably change the update command
    -- UPDATE THE BLOB FIELD
    UPDATE PDM
    SET FNAME = SRC_FILE,
    IBLOB = DST_FILE;into this
    -- UPDATE THE BLOB FIELD
    UPDATE PDM
    SET IBLOB = DST_FILE
    WHERE  FNAME = '262-2827.pdf';but I'm not sure how to explain the eof error message. Usually this happens when you forget an "END;" or "END LOOP;" command.
    Ok I rechecked and the declaration of the second procedure seems wrong
    -- CREATE THE PROCEDURE TO LOAD THE FILE
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE LOAD_FILE AS (
    SRC_FILE BFILE := BFILENAME('PDF_DIR', '262-2827.pdf');
    DST_FILE BLOB;
    BEGINshould be rewritten as
    -- CREATE THE PROCEDURE TO LOAD THE FILE
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE LOAD_FILE
      AS
      SRC_FILE BFILE := BFILENAME('PDF_DIR', '262-2827.pdf');
      DST_FILE BLOB;
    BEGIN
    ...I removed one parenthesis which was not closed.
    And for the image_import procedure there is a semikolon missing after the final END.

    any help would be appreciated

    I would guess it's because you can't use CHECK like that (at
    least not in Oracle 8i). If you want to check the validity of
    procedural parameters you'll have to code this sort of thing:
    BEGIN
    IF major NOT IN ('whatever', 'etc') THEN
    RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR(-22200, 'Invlaid value for MAJOR');
    ELSIF ....
    For future reference you can use the SQL*Plus command SHOW ERR
    to see what went wrong - it gives you line numbers and error
    messages.

    How to FIX this issue?
    Regards,
    Stunner.

    Hi,
    Unfortunately, the available information is not enough to have a clear view of the occurred behavior. Base on my experience, it may cause by some of one resource abnormal
    failure, I suggest that please schedule a down time to run “Repair Active Directory object” in “Simulate Failue of this resource” status. And the operation “Repair Active Directory Object” will force to update the object’s attributes.

  • Bex Designer 3.5: An unexpected 'invalid procedure call or argument' error

    Hi,
    Our Bex environment has both 3.5 and 7.0 queries and objects.
    Recently Bex Query Designer 3.5 started crashing when we expand on the Restricted Key Figures. It works fine in 7.0 designer. And, expanding the Calculated Key Figures works fine in both 3.5 and 7.0
    It only happens on 1 multiprovider, which has more than 100 RKFs.
    The error message is: An unexpected 'invalid procedure call or argument' error occured in wdbrlog.
    On clicking Continue, the next message is: Run-time error '-2147221499 (80040005)'; Fatal Error - Terminating
    The same error is happening in Test, UAT and Production environments for this 1 multiprovider.
    I resinstalled Business Explorer client software, but no change.
    Any suggestions on how to fix or approach fixing this?
    Thanks!

    Problem was resolved by opening a note with SAP. Their response is pasted below:
    "The problem has been solved. The reason for the termination in Query Designer was actually the fact the one Restricted Key Figure somehow has lost it's technical name.
    The problematic object is RKF SAP Plan Value (4L9J85WYTCFK4DEA63PD2R4V7)The user given name of this object was not available in the database table RSZCOMPDIR and was actually required in the Query Designer. The application was not able to create a tree of expanded RKFs having no technical names.
    In general, this error can be fixed by the special check program analyze_rsz_tables which is supposed to try to find out this missing technical name. But in this particular case the repair procedure in the program has failed as no traces or information what this missing name could be was available. Therefore I just fixed this issue manually by entering a new technical name for this object."

  • PR release procedure no longer working-error MEPO 822

    I've raised a message previously regarding PR release problem. Now i've found something that need expert helps to clarify on this.
    Situation :
    One of my client(ABC) implemented release procedure for PR which is not assign to value limit. It is by document type. They had 2 document types; NB and RNB.
      NB = NOT subject to release
      RNB = SUBJECT to release.
    So when they :
    create a PR with document type RNB - it will goes for approval.
    create a PR with document type NB - it will not go to approval.
    It was working fine until after they created a new document type which copied from NB, called ZTP.
      ZTP = NOT subject to release.
    They did not touch anything on PR release configuration. However, the release has no longer working. Means, when they create PR with document type RNB, it will NOT go for approval as it suppose to. I've check in configuration, all are fine.
    Findings:
    I've created a PR, and go to ME45N to release it but system prompt me an error message
    "Purchase requisition 10000066 cannot be released". I check on the message data,  the error coming from MEPO, message number 822.
    So i check in OSS and found a note which is similar to this case.
    Note 939371 - Overall release PR using ME54N gives error MEPO 822
    Link : https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=939371#Text
    But my question is,is it also applied to ME51N and without external application as per my client's case?
    Please anyone help.
    Thanks.

    Hi guys!
    Wants to share something. I had a problem to release my PR. When i want to release PR via ME54N, system give me error message "Purchase requisition 10000066 cannot be released". When i checked message data, it is coming from MEPO Messafe 822. So i asked SAP, they said this one is caused by different issue. Here's the reply from SAP.
    Here's the reply from SAP :
    Purchase requisition 10000066 cannot be released
    Message no. MEPO822
    Now click the other requisition button and let say
    choose Purchase requisition 10000068,
    Execute ME54N again:
    Purchase requisition 10000068 cannot be released
    Message no. MEPO822
    Comment/explanation:
    The log incidence seems not having problem with release
    strategy as it was ok but it was the last PR was called
    everytime ME54N was called. This same as it works in enjoy
    transaction ME21N/ME22N or ME51N/ME52N.
    For example, When using ME21n or ME22n to create or change PO,
    after saving the PO. There are 2 ways to exit the transaction,
    1, enter another T-code or use /n to exit directly.
    2, use 'F3' or the 'green tick' to exit ME21n (or ME22n)
    Then you can access ME23n to see the difference.
    For the 1st way, ME23n won't display the last PO created in ME21n
    For the 2nd way, ME23n will display the last PO just created!!!
    Please see attached consulting note 595627 that explains a new
    functionality as of release 470:
    Due to performance problem, a decision had to be taken about the way to
    use transactions. If you leave transaction ME21N/ME22N via the
    exit button (F3), the expected PO will be displayed next time you use
    these transactions. But if you quit abruptly (/nXXX) the PO number
    won't be saved for the next transaction ME2?N.
    As SAP note is the official document to explain system behavior,
    this document is provided by SAP developement to explain this system
    behavior to customers.
    In your case, you had used ME54N and this was same as you use ME53N.
    The last PO always display. You may try to view Purchase requisition
    with release strategy, for example Release group R1, Rel. strategy
    R1, then after this execute transaction ME54N again, the message
    MEPO822 will not be there anymore.
    Hope this will help you guys if you're having the same problem in future.
    Thanks,
    Crystal.

  • Calling a stored procedure runs into an error

    Hello,
    We are testing the Database Adapter.
    In our database we created the following
    - Table tt
    - Package ttpackage, with a procedure with 1 input and 1 output parameter which inserts a record in the tt table.
    (see scripts at bottom of message)
    We created a Database Adapter based upon this Package (Call a stored procedure or function) and register this Database Adapter with the Integration Server.
    When we invoke this Database Adapter and enter the input, we can see in the database that 4 records are created. The Web Service returns after a minute with an error
    How can we solve this problem?

    Hello Dave,
    Thanks for the quick fix.
    I've tested the fix. The 'Array index out of range: 0' disappeared.
    I get, unfortunately, the following error. I already described the steps I take in the first message. Based upon the TTpackage I create a Database adapter, register it with the ESB and invoke the URL from the ESB.

    Hi Uday,
    My guess is that there is a problem with your java stored procedure that is causing the "ExceptionInInitializer" error to be thrown. According to the javadoc:
    is thrown to indicate that an exception occurred during
    evaluation of a static initializer or
    the initializer for a static variable
    Since I didn't see any of your code in your post, I can't help you much more, I'm afraid. Perhaps if you would provide some more details, I may be able to help you some more. I think the following details would be helpful:
    1. Complete error message and stack trace you are getting.
    2. The section of your java code that you think is causing the problem.
    3. Oracle database version you are using.
    Good Luck,
    Avi.

  • While executing procedure it is giving Error in the TT IMD

    Hi Chris,
    Main User Cacheuser (Cache Admin User)
    Other User Interchange (TimesTen User - Same name as Oracle 11g Database User)
    Normally we are connecting through cacheuser to create any objects in the Interchange user.
    I have created procedure in the Interchange user from cacheuser cache admin user.
    Procedure is created in the Interchange user. but when i am executing that same procedure in the cacheuser user
    -- Pl/Sql block executing from cacheuser
    declare
    sOutPut varchar2(4000);
    begin
    interchange.#procedurename# ('123456', sOutPut);
    end;
    After executing we are getting error:
    failed,[TimesTen][TimesTen 11.2.1.3.0 ODBC Driver][TimesTen]TT5227: Insufficient privileges error occurred while performing an Oracle operation in OCIStmtExecute(): ORA-01031: insufficient privileges rc = -1. -- file "bdbStmt.c", lineno 3868, procedure "ttBDbStmtExecute()"
    then we have issued following command for privilege, but still it is coming same error.
    grant execute on interchange."procedurename" to cacheuser;

    Hi Chris,
    Previously PassThrough=1 (we have kept this parameter to access oracle objects from TT IMD) it was there in our sys_odbc.ini file, but after that we have created procedure in the TimesTen and also created all objects related to that procedure in the TimesTen database. and due to that we have removed passthrough entry from sys_odbc.ini file because all object we created in the TimesTen database.
    Purpose of creating all objects related to that procedure in the TimesTen database was we tried to compiled procedure in the TimesTen IMD and the some obejcts inside procedure refered from Oracle 11G database that time it was shown error "table does not exist".
    Note : That time PassThrough parameter set was "1".+
    Currently we are executing procedure through TimesTen Database only. we have not yet checked through application.
    Can i have list of passthrough and the purpose of the same.

  • Stored Procedure Call from Bean Error - PLS-00201

              Hello all,
              I am using the java stored procedure code in the examples dir of weblogic51/examples/jdbc/...
              with one exception. I created the stored procedure as another user with more
              permissions than
              the user that the jdbc connection will be established with. I created a public
              synonym so the stored
              procedure doesn't have to be refered to as "username.proc_squareInt". I keep
              getting the following
              errors. The web user has execute permissions and I tried calling it both with
              the owner.proc_name
              and proc_name (which I know won't work since it won't be able to find it).
              Any help would be greatly appreciated.
              Sincerely,

    this is probably an oracle related issue, and has very little to do with
              Weblogic transactions.
              your easiest way to debug this is to open a SQL/Plus window, log in as user
              WTHDBM and try to run the command
              "execute proc_squareInt(5,5);"
              "execute owner.proc_squareInt(5,5);"
              if this doesn't work, consult Oracle technet on how to setup synonyms and
              permissions

  • Mzm.pbfkalfs.pkg error message

    Repeated attempts to download OS X Lion keep ending with the following message:
    "The application could not be downloaded.  An error occurred while running scripts from the package "mzm.pbfkalfs.pkg"."
    I am already running OS X Lion 10.7.1 on my 2008 MacBook Pro and am attempting to reinstall Lion to solve a different issue.
    Prior to each download attempt, I have deleted the MacIntosh HD/Library/Updates folder and run Verify Disk Permissions, Verify Disk and Repair Disk Permissions on my main drive.
    I don't have any third party virus software running.
    Anyone familiar with this error message and/or have any other suggestions?
    THanks in advance for your thoughts.

    I have sir yes I had Lion insalled when it first came out I just wanted a new fresh build so i formatted it installed 10.6 done all updates then tried to download Lion from the App Store and it fail at 2.14GB every time. I'm thinking is it currupt file at Apple's end (but very much doubt as there would be post all over the place regarding it) or the I have installed 10.6 wrong and it will not download a file bigger than 2.14GB.
    I might try and find the torrent of the dmg file and create a Lion DVD that way it's just a ball ach.
    Thanks again for your reply
