Procee Control 2.5 - Organizational Structure

Hello All,
we have just installed the PC 2.5 in QA.
after finishing all post-implementation activities, we saw that the HR structure was created automatically in the PC also.
why is that ? how can we prevent it form happening when we install in PROD ?
what can we do now if we want another structure ?

Yudit,
Run the HR table cleanup locally in your QA environment and this will fix the problem.  There are specific changes you have to make locally when you bring up a new system and the HR data cleanup is one of them.  This does not transport.
Most of the following configuration changes are not transportable and must be performed locally when a new system or client is created.  After transports are imported, some or all of the following steps need to be performed.  Steps will vary depending on whether you are creating a new client in an existing system or creating an entirely new system. 
1)  GRC Process Control=>Workflow=>Perform Automatic Workflow Customizing
             - Make sure everything under "Maintain Runtime Environment" and "Classify Tasks as General"
               is activated.
2) GRC Process Control=>Workflow=>Perform Task Specific Customizing
             - Including SA38=>RS_APPL_REFRESH (if necessary)
             - Make sure everything under this activity is performed including "classifying all tasks as
               general" and that event linking" is properly activated.
3) GRC Process Control=>Workflow=>Manage Event Queue
             - Maintain Background Job tab "Number of events per read access to 12u201D. Reschedule job if
               necessary.  Changing this value deletes the bckgrnd job.
4) GRC Process Control=>Workflow=>Transfer Work Items to Replacement
             - Schedule job per IMG / Page 17 of Ops guide
             - Schedule or transfer job execution to BATCHUSER ID
5) GRC Process Control=>Workflow=>Email Notifications=>Schedule job for sending email
             - Schedule job per IMG / Page 17 of Ops guide (every 15 mins)
             - Schedule or transfer job execution to BATCHUSER ID
6) GRC Process Control=>Workflow=>Specify Fallback User for Work Items
             - Review for appropriateness
7) GRC Process Control=>Cases=>Copy Cases to New Timeframe After Signoff
             - Schedule job per IMG / Page 17 of Ops guide
             - Schedule or transfer job execution to BATCHUSER ID
8) GRC Process Control=>Cases=>Copy Documents After Carryforward into New Timeframe
             - There is an ERROR in the IMG setup for this job.  IMG is incorrect.
             - Schedule or transfer job execution to BATCHUSER ID
9) GRC Process Control=>Structure Setup=>Cleanup HR Data=>Delete Table Entries     
10) GRC Process Control=>Structure Setup=>Cleanup HR Data=>Rebuild Directory     
11) GRC Process Control=>Reporting=>Maintain Reporting Buffer
             - Set up Background job according to IMG and NOT Ops Guide
             - Schedule or transfer job execution to BATCHUSER ID
12) GRC Process Control=>Reporting=>Enter Role for Determining Responsible Person for an Object 
     (Optional)
13) GRC Process Control=>Assessment and Test=>Automated Testing and Monitoring=>Register
      Connectors            
             - Review for appropriateness
If you plan on having more than 1 client in a system, include the client number in the job name.  If not, you won't be able to distinguish which job is running in which client (by the job name alone) when viewing jobs in SM37.

    SAP 6.0 ECC is supports what data you doing in previous versions like 4.7 or 5.0 etc
    you can set company in india or out of india and  taxation also same what you doing in previous versions
    differece is ECC 6.0 is some extra functions is added on advance purpose

    Organizational units are used to structure business functions and for reporting. The organizational units of Financial Accounting are used for external reporting purposes, that is, they fulfil requirements that your business is subject to from external parties, for example, legal regulations. The financial statements for example, are created based on the organizational units of Financial Accounting.
    Basic settings in Financial Accounting are Customizing settings that you have to make in order to be able to carry out processes in Financial Accounting.

    1. why should use operating concern (client) first,what is his role n functions?

  • Organization Structure for Petro-oil business

    Hi experts,
    I'm a new consultant, and I'm implementing for a Oil & Gas Project. I want to ask you a recommendation about the solution for Organization structure.
    This business sell some kind of good:
    1) Hydro: mogas, diezel, mazut, kerosense...
    2) Non-Hydro: cement, Iron, gas, lubricant...
    I should use two org. structure for each kind, or just unique structure. Because each kind is controlled a different method, so I suggest use two org. structure, but its difficult for reporting.

    The designing and creation of a Organization structure in SAP is a very crucial and a critical decision. Once the Organization structure is designed and configured it is extremely difficult to change it. Also note that once transaction data is posted it is difficult to change the organization structure.
    The number of Controlling Areas and Operating Concerns does not depend on Company Codes. In designing a Organization structure, we should take a comprehensive and integrated view of all modules like SD/MM/FICO etc. As long as fiscal year variant / Chart of Accounts are same multiple Company Codes can be assigned to one Controlling.
    In Controlling Organization Structure, highest level is Operating Concern and under that Controlling Areas are assigned and Company Codes are assigned to Controlling Area.
    In most Business Scenarios one Operating Concern and Controlling Area will meet the Business requirements.

  • Organization structure for real-estate project

    I am required to work in a real-estate company project. 
    I am confused about the organization structure which should be created for the company.
    The company undertakes various projects like housing, shopping complexes, malls, wind-mills, etc.  and want to know the profitability reports of each individual project.  Every time  company will be starting new new construction activities.
    Please suggest an organization element how I can represent these in the Controlling Area and avoid number of GL accounts growing out of numbers.

    Real estate module is not IS solution, licensing is normal for RE
    2. Is it possible to activate two industry solution in the same box ?
    yes you can with some small precations
    3. If yes, Will Retail and Real Estate or any existing Functional modules affect?
    No, there is no impact.
    4. Normally what is the time frame for implementing the Real Estate Module for GCC country zone.
    That based on project, max is 4 to 6 monts
    5. Real Estate is a new installation or Add-on ?

    Hello Vinoth,
    If ur Organizatuional structure means Level one employee shouls have access to some roles and Level 2 diffreent then this can be achived in by Role assignment.
    Level 1:: Some Iview ,Workset ,Pages that has to be visible to Level 1 employee should be assign to Level one named role and that role should be assiged to the Group named Level_One (Contains all Level 1 employee)
    similar is the caes with diffrent level of Employee's
    that fit's to ur Organizational Structure.
    U can play with the permission of Role's to control Visibility of diffrent roles to diffrent level of Employee's

  • How to modify organizational structure for workflow?

    Hi,
    What is the best practice for modifying the organizational structure for workflow? I know I can do all the changes in development and move it to production via transport system but is that always required.
    It seems tedious to transport the org plan from dev to prod every time there is a position change etc.
    And it does not allow you to change it in production since the client is locked.
    I don't even have all the users I have in production in my dev box so I can't assign the correct ones to positions. Would it mean I have to have the users in the dev box mirror the ones in production?

    This answer depends on the HR managment that you have there, if the HR area is a good coordinated area the best answer is to configure the system for automatic transports and pass the HR structures in this way, you can lock some dangerous infotypes in the T77TR tables and be sure that you will not have any trouble with that data. the best thing using this option is to have a specific DEV client to transport the HR structures.
    If you will not have any control between the Dev Environment changes and some people will modify in Prod and other people will make transports in a Dev environment, the best option is to open the client and modify the Org structures every time you need it.

    How can I get them, I only know the compnay code table is T001, but how to get the organization structures  of a compnay code (BUKRS) into a internal table?

    A lot of table will be involved for the same.
    The company code is the highest unit and all other things are assigned to it.
    Check the settings in SPRO as to how the maintainance is done.
    From here you will get the maintainance view details if you do F1 help on each field.
    From this view you can get the relevant tables.
    For eg.
    Go to SPRO>Controlling>Organization-->Maintain Controlling Area
    Here you will find the assignment of controlling area to the company code.
    The maintainance view is V_TKA02 and the tables involved are TKA02, TKA01, T001
    In this way you can find the relevant tables.

    2. Plant,
    3. Storage Location &
    4. Purchasing Group.
    Note:
    It depends how you project or design the purchasing group in the organization & purchase group can be created and represent as department .In general, company have many more departments & need to control & approval of all purchasing documents at department level & at the end to know cost incurred in each department with various activities( more then one& each GL represent one activity) .So in turn Purchasing group(department) is linked  to cost center and then different G/L accounts which represent various activities linked with the cost center.

    We have requirement to implement the Oracle apps PO,AP,Project, GL modules of Oracle apps into Government. Government having main State, then District, Taluka, Village....etc... as per standerd government. Now we want to implement the data security here at each level but still confused how to achieve the same in oracle apps to receive Role base access control and not able to define the final Org structure in oracle application for this specific requirement. We will be thankful for all suggestion.

    GP does not support organization structure directly.
    But there is a way to implement it that way...
    You can impersonate the task to any user Id at runtime.
    This userId can be read from org structure programatically (RFC or WS)

    Organizational structures must be defined in SAP to represent the structure of the organization. These structures can be defined independently for each functional area of the system. For example, the sales department will want to define sales organizations, distribution channels and divisions (product groups), while the purchasing department will want to define purchasing organizations, plants and storage locations. Independent of these structures, a structure must be defined in financial accounting (FI) that represents the legal reporting entity. This structure is represented by the company code. The balance sheet and the profit and loss statement are prepared for the company code.
    Functional areas and organizational structures include:
    Functional area Organizational structure
    Sales and distribution -> Sales organization, distribution channel, division, sales area, ...
    Financial accounting -> Company code, chart of accounts, business area, ...
    Logistics -> Purchasing organization, purchasing group, plant, storage location,...
    Controlling -> Controlling area, cost centre, profit centre, ...
    Human resources -> Personnel area, employee group, employee subgroup, ...
    General data that is used by all company codes is stored at a client level. This means that data valid for all functional areas needs to be stored only once (eg vendor name and address is stored at the client level whilst payment terms may vary for each company code).
    Organizational structures can be used to control access to processing within the organization. For example, users can be restricted to process documents for their own company code only.

  • Can you share FP Controls between different Event Structures

    I'm creating a program that will either read real-time data from an VNA on the GPIB bus, or read a saved s2p (Agilent) file and analyze it. The FP consists of 5 graphs, and various controls which handle events like printing, changing filters, or exiting. on the BD I have a case structure controlled by an operator selection pop-up. I tried using the same FP controls in the event structures I have setup in each case, as only one event structure would ever be executing at any given time, but the program doesn't seem to like it ast run-time. I've worked around the issue by creating "duplicate" controls and using the property setting to make them visible/disabled, etc., but the is seriously congesting my BD.
    Anyone know a way to share controls with seperate event structures?

    It sounds like the root problem is the overall structure of your program. I highly recommend that you check out the Queued Message Handler project template in LabVIEW 2012, that will show you how to utilize a single event structure and pass events to a consumer loop. If you program is too large to consider an architecture change at this stage of the game, then there is a workaround for your problem.
    What is most likely happening is that you have the event structures all set to lock the front panel until the event completes. However the case structure that you have wrapped around these event structures is causing all but one of these event structures to be unreachable thus preventing you from handling the event. Again, as I stated above, the "RIGHT WAY" to fix this is to select a better program structure but the "kluge work-around" fix is this: Dynamically register for the value change event on all of the controls you are trying to trap events for. Dynamic events can be deregistered and re-registered at run time. This will allow only the event structure in the active owning case structure to be registered for the events, thus no other event structures will get in your way.

  • Error while creating the Organization structure.

    Hi,
    I am trying to create an Organization structure in SRM 5 sytem, I have created a Root for the structure and when i try to click on the Attribute Inheritance or the Check tab below i am getting an error "Start program BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL first (see note 563180 and long text)" but i have replicated one plant from the R/3 system using BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_SELECTED and the material groups and all the other relevant datas from R/3. I can see in the table BBP_LOCMAP the plant been associated with the relevant company code. I am now struck in creating the organization structure. I am not sure where i am going wrong while creating the Org model.Please give me your valuable inputs to overcome this error.

    Add an X to the following entry:
    Group = EBP          
    Sem abbr. = LMIGR        
    Val. Abbr. = X       
    Description = Locations Successfully Migrated
    This tell the system that the locations have been replicated and the error indicating location get all needs be executed will go away.
