Process Management with Taskflow: variable result Failure

Hi guys,
I've created taskflows to automate Process Management. They work fine, but there's something unusual: even though each phase runs properly, I get as a variable result "Failure". And I do not have a variable result "failure" (just "success").
Have you ever experienced this issue? Is this a bug?
HFM version is 11.1.1.3.
Thanks!
Jay

It's a bug.

HI, i met the quetion as below
The The Oracle BPEL Process Designer & Manager server is installed on my computer in domin of my company, so if One of the BPEL processes deployed on the BPEL server needs to access a synchronous Web service hosted outside the firewall .i need to config the proxy, but the proxy of my company needs my ID and password to access outside . after I congfig the proxy

I read the tecnote about HTTP Proxy Configuration and config the proxy in the obsetenv.bat ,but it seems has no information about my ID&password in obsetenv.bat.

    Please Help....

    JO

    Hi JO,
    Can you confirm the following:
That the 10.1.2.0.0 Application Server instance to which you installed BPEL was configured with the same Oracle Internet Directory that is used by Content Services (you would have had an option during AS install to specify OID integration - aka Identity Management access).
Note - that the OID Server must also be running on both SSL and non SSL Ports.
The bpel integration documentation has been revised since the 10.1.1 release.
As per the OC4J J2EE Security Guide, one should not need to specify full OID jazn provider information should the IAS instance be associated with Identity Management.
Thus, you should now be able to set the following revised values in the various configuration files:
    $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_BPEL/config/jazn.xml
    <jazn provider="LDAP" />
    $ORACLE_HOME/integration/orabpel/system/appserver/oc4j/j2ee/home/config/jazn.xml
    <jazn provider="LDAP" />
Also, the orion-application.xml file should not need to be changed at all, as it should inherit the jazn information from the container’s default JAZN configuration specified in $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_BPEL/config/jazn.xml
    To summarize:
    1) $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_BPEL/application/deployments/hw_services/orion-application.xml should not need to be modified.
    2) $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_BPEL/config/jazn.xml and $ORACLE_HOME/integration/orabpel/system/appserver/oc4j/j2ee/home/config/jazn.xml should contain a jazn entry <jazn provider=”LDAP”/>
The steps for configuring Identity Service Provider (is_config.xml) are correct. However it should not noted that due to limitations with BPEL’s OIDIdentityService and OIDProvider classes, there is no way of setting up ssl connectivity in is_config.xml – this however has no effect on the workflows.
    thanks,
    Matt

  • Installation of "Oracle BPEL Process Manager" (newbie)

    Hello,
I need to evaluate the "Oracle BPEL Process Manager" for a seminar at my university.
I am completely new to the BPEL topic and I need some help installing the "BPEL Process Manage".
    1) I downloaded the file "Oracle BPEL Process Manager (10.1.3.1.0)" for x86 Windows. 340 MB ; filename: "soa_windows_x86_bpel_101310.zip"
    2) In the Install Guide of that package it says there are two installation scenarios:
    ■ Scenario 1: Oracle BPEL Process Manager with Oracle SOA Suite
    ■ Scenario 2: Oracle BPEL Process Manager for OracleAS Middle Tier
I think the best and easiest (and smallest?) for me is the first one "with Oracle SOA Suite". But the Guide I have is only for the second Scenario.
It says the first one would be explained in the guide "Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.1.0) Installation Guide", but there's nothing said about BPEL ! ??
Do I have to download the complete "Oracle SOA Suite 10g (10.1.3.x)" ?!
Or can I just try to execute the setup of my "Oracle BPEL Process Manager (10.1.3.1.0)" without a guide?
I'm really confused here and help would be much appreciated.
    regards

that segment will lead for installatoin of the SOA with the datbase Lite. Can Lite database work for the tutorals or cause problems for the SOA 10.1.3.4 upgrade etc?? I guess there may be scripts built not for the lite db in the examples and the upgrade.Question, what would be the Lite database name? I have loaded SOA 10.1.3.1 with Olite. Now try to upgrade it to SOA 10.1.3.4.
the part of the upgrade is to run the upgrade scritps. Since the db is lite, we have to use msql via jdbc connection. But I have no idea what's the db name created under 10.1.3.1. Checked ORACLE_HOME/install/readme, there seem no such info. it could be the instance name in the readme. But had it tried, no work.

  • Batch Processing error: Object variable or With block variable not set - 91

We are experiencing the following error when trying to execute the FDM Batch Processing of files in our UAT environment. This error is not occuring in our DEV environment. I have seen this error before when the data file had been left open and FDM could not access the file, so it appears this error is usually due to file permissions. However, this time none of the files are open, and as far as we can see, FDM should have full access to the OpenBatch and Inbox folders etc.
Does anyone please have any suggestions, particularly on what account FDM will carry out the various tasks? Would it use a system account?

I can confirm that there is definitely data present in our data files in this case.
Please note that this error only occurs when using the Batch Processing functionality of FDM Workbench (which requires files to be placed in the OpenBatch subfolder of the Inbox). I can load individual files fine when using the FDM Web Client.
As part of the first step of the batch load process, FDM Workbench moves files from the OpenBatch folder to a new folder which it creates in the Inbox\Batches directory. However, it is not even managing to do this, and gives the error below.
We have tried to share the OpenBatch folder, to allow specific users access to drop files into this folder. Consequently, I believe suggests a security problem on the OpenBatch folder itself (please see original post). I have been told privileges should be sufficient for FDM to make use of this folder too, however I suspect this is not the case at present.
In the meantime, please let me know if this could be due to other causes.

  • Installing AS: special problem with OPMN Process Manager...

    Hi everybody,
Actually, i'm trying to install a Grig control 10.2.0.1 on an existing database (10.2.0.1 patched to 10.2.0.4). OS is RHEL5.
I have the following problem during setup IAS for 3 days.
Note that my database is open and that didn't succeed in installing some rpm's, especially pdksh...
    Here is the warning box:
The OPMN Process Manager failed to start.
Please check the logs in the
/u00/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/oms10g/opmn/logs directory for the cause of failue. Once the cause of the failure has been remedied, start OPMN manually and click Retry.
I start manually opmn and obtain this:

    WebCache | WebCacheAdmin | 5963 | Alive
But after clicking on retry, the same warning appears again!
By watching logs for each process at $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/logs, i didn't se any errors
    moreover opmn.log is empty.
    I already set $ORACLE_HOME, $PATH, $LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
I didn't find solutions nowhere so that's why I'm posting here.
Ideas and direction will be very helpful for me.
    Thank you a lot,

    Hi,
    Thank your for answering.

My DSA process was started because, i started it manually to see what will happen.
Now I succeeded for the installation, I have a new probleme during the configuration with OUI CA.

    Hi,
    check if the files
    $INSTHOME/sqllib/security/db2c?pw
have the correct permissions. They need a SUID bit to root.
If the SUID bit is not set, you can do a
    <db2_install_dir>/instance/db2iupdt db2<dbname>
as user root to update your DB2 instance. This will set the permissions correctly.

  • Query with bind variable, how can use it in managed bean ?

    Hi
I create query with bind variable (BindControlTextValue), this query return description of value that i set in BindControlTextValue variable, how can i use this query in managed bean? I need to set this value in String parameter in managed bean.
    Thanks

Put the query in a VO and execute it the usual way.
If you need to, you can write a parameterized method in VOImpl that executes the VO query with the parameter and then call that method from the UI (as a methodAction binding) either through the managed bean or via a direct button click on the page.

  • Detail view with bind variable. TreeTable not showing all detail result.

I’m having trouble with treeTable using detail view with bind variables and where clause defined in VO definition.
Both, master and detail view objects, base on the same entity and have the same condition in where clause. The view objects also have bind variables, which are set in prepareRowSetForQuery() method.
Again, these are two different views, that get different result, based on value of one of the bind variable.
When I show results in two different tables on jsf page, where master table has "RowSelection" set on "single", all results are displayed in detail table.
But when I use treeTable, only the first result of the detail is shown.

I tested it in applicationModule and it works, but i think that's the same as two tables on a jsf page.
This is the order in which overridden methods are called in ADF BC or two tables on jsf page
when clicking on row in master table.

count: 2Values of user parameters are OK. Is there another method that i should override?
I also noticed, that if detail view doesn't have user bind variables, the tree works fine and is shown even in ADF BC (aplication module).
I guess we loose a tree, when using bind variables in detail view object.
Is there a way around it?

  • Eclipse BPEL Designer with Oracle BPEL Process Manager

    Gurus,
I am tryting to develop a BPEL 2 process using Eclipse Helios BPEL Designer (v0.5).
Request your help with a problem that I am facing, which is as follows:
I am trying to create a Partner Link (PL) in my BPEL process, using the Partner Link Type (PLT) provided by TaskService (for user interactions) in BPEL Process Manager 11g integration services.
However, the PLT is not recognized by Eclipse BPEL Designer. The Port Types in the WSDL show up but not the PLTs.
I noticed that the PLT namespace being used in the TaskService WSDL is BPEL v1 namespace (namely, http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2003/05/partner-link/). I am able to work with PLTs from WSDLs with BPEL v2 namespce (namely, http://docs.oasis-open.org/wsbpel/2.0/plnktype)
Is there anyway I can work with v1 PLTs using Eclipse BPEL 2 Process?
    Many Thanks,
    Pulkit Sharma

    Hi,
I believe the Eclipse BPEL Designer is not a supported tool to create SOA composites. I suggest using Oracle JDeveloper 11g as it is a supported tool for development and is Oracle's go-forward IDE strategy.
    Hope this helps!
