Process scenario

Hi
How do I set business rules in obpm studio.
I want to create a process.. the scenario is like this...
there will be 5 roles.
1.Employee
2.Manager
3.Immediate manager
4.Senior Manager
5.Financial Manager.
business rules are like this.
1.
if the employee submits a purchase request and the amount of that purchase request is <=1000, it should go to immediate manager for approval.
if the amount is >1000 then , it should go to senior manager for approval.
2. if the immediate manager submits the purchase request and the amount is <=5000, then it should go to senior manager for approval. If it is > 5000 then it should go to finance manager for approval.
and i have to create a report which shows how many purchase requests are rejected and approved for both employee and immediate manager.
how do i go abt it? I think I have to use the conditional gateway. but I am not sure how to write the conditions.
Please help

Hi, (First, this assumes you are using 10g)
There are a number of ways to do what you are describing, depending on what kind of visibility, and effort you want to put in...
The help guild from within Studio is very helpful, check out: [http://127.0.0.1:64020/help/index.jsp?topic=/fuego.eclipse.help.developers/modules/dynamic_business_rules/c_Head_Business_Rules_Editor.html] This will get you information on how to actually create 'Business Rules'.
You can also just create conditional transitions. After creating the Transition, go over to 'properties' tab, and enter in a boolean expression. (ie. purRequest > 1000) Note: You can also set up Business Parameters, so that the values can be changed at runtime.
Another way, would be to do it in code (so you can log the path too, and just use the 'result' variable to control your flow through conditional transitions.

  • High-level business process scenario

Hi all, I have a business process scenario for which CRM and ECC has to be used. The scenario is like this:
There are 2 subsidiaries of a company - A and B, which are into trading of materials.
Between A and customer there is sales agreement. Between B and vendor there is purchase agreement.
Whenever customer requires materials, it will send request to A. So, A creates a sales order. B in turn sends a request to vendor for which a purchase order is created. The vendor ships the goods directly to customer. The vendor bills B for the purchase order. B adds some margin and then it goes for inter-company settlement with A. A bills the customer for the materials. In this entire process, both A and B earns profit through margins.
It has to be noted that CRM has to be used as contact point with customer.
Now I have the following questions:
    1. How would the high-level business design be like?
    2. How would be the document flow?
    3. How can inter-company settlement and billing be done?
All constructive comments and feedback will be rewarded.

    Hello Animesh,
Can you please let me know the solution you found for the intercompany business process. I have the similar kind process which needs to be configured in CRM7.
    Thanks a lot

    Hi Animesh,
The thumb rule to CRM process designing is stick to customer process...
Thus u jst hav to stick to process design of company A and its interaction with Customer.
We are not concerned with how the material will be purchansed, but we are concerned with how we will be delivering it to end customer.
Thus, once customer place an order to company A, our process would suggest a sales order for the customer with one of the partner function "Vendor" as B with the required material. Now later process in R/3 would convert this sales order with customer as soldtoparty to purchase order with vendor as B and one of the secondary partner soldto party as our original customer.
And billing would happen the way it is... ie. based on sales order.. thus u will have some inflow.. again u will be raising a purchase requisition to company B thus that would be your outflow..
That was a really good scenario to think about.

  • Strategy Management Business Process Scenarios in English language

    Hi,
Can anybody (in  SAP organisation itself , hopefully) help in providing the English version of the file Strategy Management Business Process Scenarios (DE)?
This file is currently available in German only at the service marketplace under SSM 7.5.
    Thanks.
    With regards,
    Milan.

    Milan,
The reason that the German version was on the Service Marketplace is because it is currently in production and not available until October.
I was able to go to implementationcontent.sap.com/bpr
    - Clicked on SAP BusinessObjects Strategy Management
    - Click Strategy Execution
    - Click Strategy Management 7.5
    - Click BUSINESS PROCESSES
    - New window opens with Scenario "Strategy Validation"
    - On the Documentation Tab you should see "Display Document"
    - Clicking on Display Document opens a new window with the doc
The difficulty with being internal, is that I may have different authorization levels than you and so can't guarantee that this will work for you, but it is there right now in English. And I should mention that it took a long time for the new window with Document Tab to open, again your experience may be different, but be patient.

  • Third-Party Order Fulfillment Process Scenario

    Hello,
I would like to know if any of you have come across a use case where the Third-Party Order Fulfillment is  Not  based on the Supplier/Manufacturer shipping out the material directly But the Buyer (and in some cases even end User/customer) arranges this themselves. This is very common in International Trade where the Buyer/Business arranges the shipment themselves by using the services of a Freight Forwarder who Ships the material to the end user/customer after the Supplier/Manufacturer has made the Material available. In such cases the actual Shipment could take days or weeks from when Material is made ready by the Suppliers.
Currently the Third-Party Order Fulfillment Process assumes only one scenario and that is the Supplier will ship the material and inform their Buyer of Delivery. But in International Trade this is not the case and the Incoterms in the Purchase Order can be different to the Incoterms in the Sales order example in the PO the incoterms could be Ex-Works and in the SO CIF.
This leads to requirement of ASN and separate Inbound and Outbound Delivery and their separate Release in this Process as well.
These are not currently supported in the Third-Party Order Fulfillment process thus the Third-Party Order Fulfillment process in ByD has a very limited use in its current form.
If there are other users who have come across this as well then it would be nice to have your comments and possible workaround.
    Best regards
    Nick

There is no standard SAP solution for this requirement.
You can trigger output from inbound delivery document to generate EDI output and send delivery information to customer.
You will require to define custom output type , partner profile and link with custom fucntion module.
FM should have logic to pick information from 3rd party sales order and inbound ASN and generate IDOC
Hope this solution will work for your requirement

  • Business Process Scenario

    Hello everyone,
Do we have anyone here who has done Business Process Validation in SAP SD and also assisted SQA team to assist them in validating process design documents.
The objective is to verify that requirements no matter functional or technical are completely covered and the process document supports complete solution and validate that process document supports software test plan.
Please share your experience or share with me how would you handle this?

    Hi,
business scenarios (including key things to be touched - like business areas, company codes, doc types, interfaces, etc. Then build test cases using elements from the list -- pulling in multiple items from the list where it make sense). Not every test would necessarily include all the same elements. Each test case would be assigned a number or code -- and that wold be tracked on the basic business scenario list. Also found it valuable to include business users in development of theese test docs wherever possible.
Apart from that, the testing are at different level, such as Unit Testing - which will test only the functionality of particular process say creating PO. All errors may not come into knowledge at this point. Integration testing - which will test the entire process along with inegration within SAP and with interfaces. Here there are chances that additional problem area are identified and required to be fixed.
The process followed by me for testing Business Scenario for Order to Cash Cycle is demonstrated below"
Initial Testing will be as under:
    1. Create Stock artificially (in test server / sand box only)
    2. Create Sales Order
--> Here the common expected error would be as under:
    a. Sales Order Type not assigned to Sales area
    b. Pricing Procedure assignment not done.
    c. Pricing Condition record not maintained
    d. Material not maintained or extended to relevant combination
On successful creation of Sales Order, next step would be to create Delivery.
    3. Create Delivery and PGI
I will test this scenario in multiple manner
    a. Create Delivery from Sales Order
    b. Create Delivery through Transaction Code VL01N
    c. Create Delivery through Transaction Code VL10C
--> Here the common expected error is copy control setting not maintained, defalult Delivery type not maintained accurately in sales Order Type, etc.
On successful creation creation of Delivery, assuing Picking is done appropriately, doing PGI.
Here the challenge is the Account determination setting reguires to be completed, without which in most cases, it will not allow to do PGI.
    4. Create Billing
I will test this scenario in multiple manner
    a. Create Billing through VF01
    b. Create Billing through Transaction Code VF04
Here the challenge is the Account determination may not be complete and Billing Document is saved without creating accounting document.
    In Integration Testing:
    1. Assure that material stock is availble in unrestricted stock through MM/PP.
    2. Creating Sales Order smoothly
    3. Creating Delivery, picking and PGI smmothly.
    4. Create Billing smoothly with creation of accurate accounting document
    Troubleshooting the errors encountered.
Here the objective is that the process should execute seamlessly.
similar exercise is done for other processes like Stock Transfer, Third Party & so on........
    Thanks
    Mk

  • Delivery order for sub-contract processing scenario

    Hi experts,
We got a requirement from our users to sub-contract certain production processing steps (or called external processing per SAP). Same part number would be used for the goods issue and goods receipt. But would like to make the delivery for the goods issuing as the delivery for normal sales parts. (Purchase order -> Delivery order -> Shipping and Packing)
Sub-contract processing will generate purchase order like service order which only contains service fee item, and we found that no outbound delivery order can be created with reference to purchase order in standard SAP.
Have you experienced such scenario before and could share to us please?
    Regards

When moving subcontracting part to your subcontractor you can do it via:
    1. simple goods movement
    2. delivery
1 Simple goods movement (transfer posting)
    - /w reference to PO (MB1B + 541)
    - w/o reference to PO (MB1B / MIGO + 541)
    2 Delivery
Using the before mentioned ME2O you can create the delivery w/o reference to PO
Please note that even if you use the MB1B541PO reference solution, system just suggests the component qunantity on the PO w/o making a real link between PO and goods movement. You can example do the MB1B541PO reference "as many times" as you want...
So, as per my best knowledge there's no solution for your requirement.
I guess one reason of system's behaviour might be that provision of compoenents doesn't depend on one single PO - if you want to reduce your shipment cost you will send out lots of components at once, more than the amount needed for one call-off.

  • "Cleaning Validation Process Scenario" in SAP QM/PM for Pharma Industry

    Dear Gurus,
I have a client requirement in the Pharma Industry. The scenario needs to be mapped in SAP for which I need your help.
The scenario is that the company is making medicines (tablets/capsules). Whenever, there is a changeover of the product, there are certain regulatory requirements which the client needs to adhere to.
For example, a shutdown of machinery for 10-12 days may be planned during which the machines are cleaned with soap/cleaning agents. Now, during this cleaning process, the QA department would take samples of the soap water recovered after cleaning process. These samples would be inspected for residues of the previous product that was being run on the line.
If everything is ok, then the approval is given by QA to start the next product.
This process has to be mapped in SAP, maybe in QM or PM.
I thought over the following process. Please let me know your inputs to fine tune the below process -
    1. As the shutdown for changeover will be a planned one, we can create a Maintenance Plan in IP42.
    2. Schedule the Mantenance Plan by IP10.
    3. Release the maintenance plan in IP10.
    4. Preventive Maintenance order will be created. (Also assign an Inspection Type in config to this maintenance order so that inspection lot also is triggered. The doubt here is that the inspection lot would be triggered for all preventive maintenance orders which may not be required. How to control this?)
    5. Carry out Result Recording in QA32.
    6. Confirm Preventive Maintenance order in IW41.
    7. Carry out Usage Decision in QA32. The status of order will now become TECO.
    8. Order Settlement in KO88.
    9. Business Completion of Order in IW32
    Thanks for you time!
    Regards,
    Nitin

    Your ASIS Process
    1. Cleaning is done by maintenance before change over
    2. Inspection is done to ensure that cleaning is acceptable
    3. Records of inspection are to be maintained
    4. Information is to be sent to concern regarding  quality testing  and its status
    5. Change over performed
You can MAP this by Notifications also. Follow the steps
    1. Create a new notification type ( config)
    2. Ensure you have following mapped in the action box (config)
        a. Send a mail
        b. Create a inspection lot
        c. Create a QM order
        d. Close Notification
The process will be as follows
    1. Create a dummy material and activate insp type 08 in the QM set up.
    2. PM creates the notification (t-code QM01) (New notification & triggers a mail (Action box) which is delivered to QC as information regarding the start of process .
    3. QC on looking at the information creates the inspection lot through the notification (action box) the QTY specified in the notification is moved from unrestricted to Quality .
    3. Perform  RR & UD and post stock  to unrestricted
    4. Close the notification giving your remarks or set the notification for further processing if required .
    Note :
    1. The material is a dummy material
    2. The intial stock can be one qty which is posted to quality -
from unrestricted and then again to unrestricted.

    Hi,
For multiple samples we can use no of sample(SAmpling Procedure) to record more than one results and system will calculate the arithmetic mean of all results of all sample
For this we have to maintain control indicator of MIC . Single result radio button will enable us to record results based on the number of sample defined in sampling procedure
And if you have requirement like different target values at different level,
Then you can configure inpection point -
SPRO > Quality Management > Quality Planning > Inspection Planning > General > Define Identifier for Inspection Points
in this Field act - 2 and give description

  • Trading Process scenario

    Dear Guru's
I am having a scenario in Trading Process,
    For example :-
Material A - is imported from other countries
it comes by Air - seperated duty charges
it come by sea - seperate duty charges for the same material,
but when i see the material which comes by air it has to pick up that duty in the billing level, and the material which came by sea if i am selling it has to pick up that sea relevant duty in the billing level.
Can any one solve my problem. Help me reward guaranteed.
    regards,
    R.Sudhir

    Dear Sudhir,
    There would be two solutions
    1) Create two material codes for the Air and Sea and maintain the pricing as required by you for the material.
    2) Create One material code and create only two batches for them once. Add the batch in the pricing access sequence and maintain price onn that. But this would be problem if in one batch you have two prices. For this you have to craeate one more batch.

  • Processing scenario

    Hello All,
My client has the following scenario and I need to help him with an appropriate solution for it:
The client manufactures some materials. But apart from this it also provides services to external customers by processing their materials.
    1) How do I inward these materials sent from the customers?
    2) How do I send these materials back to the customer?
    3) What are the excise implications and how should they be treated?
    Regards,
    Manoj

    Hi,
    1. The material manufactured by your client should be created with FERT material type
       i) Such material at the time of Sale will hit the RG1 register
    2. The material received from customers
      i) Suppose it is a customer return, then it is the material manufactured by your client (already created withFERT material type).
RG 23 A register will hit at this time.
ii) If it is not the material manufactured by your client (just coming to your client for servicing or subcontracting) then it should be created with UNBW (non valuated) material type.
There will not be any Excise register hitting in this case.

  • STO Process Scenario

    Hi Guru's,
It is a STO process, I have 2 plantS MKTO and MPTO, MKTO acts as a Warehouse and MPTO acts as manufacturing plant, Materials in MKTO are Re-order point planning, when ever stock is below re-order point and when we run MD02, it creates a Pur.Req in MKTO and a planned order in MPTO.
where can i find the relation between Pur.Req and Planned order, please guide me.
I can find relationship in MD09 but it showing as structure, can you please guide me where it will store.
    Thanks
    Satya

    Hi
You cannot find the planned order and purchase requisition link in table level also.
once the planned order is converted to purchase requisition you cannot view the planned order in MD13.
the only thing u can check is whether the Pur req is created by MRP/Converted from Plnd order, etc using creation indicator in contact person tab of purchase requisition.

  • Designing approval process scenario

    Hello All,
We need to design an approval process where the line manager and the cost center owner need to approve the expense report.
With the available options we were only able to define a process that leads to a situation that an approver has to approve and expense report twice if the line manager and the cost center manager are the same. Is there an option to avoid double approvals by the same person?
    Please suggest.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello,
no, currently this is not possible to avoid or recognize 'double' approval, however colleagues from BTM/MSA framework team are working on a solution for the near future.

  • Subcon process Scenario  -- Is the below process poosible

    Hi,
We wiill raise a purchase order on supplier #1 who is required to send these parts to supplier #2.  We will then be sending,

How will be mapping this above scenario in SAP.

We wiill raise a purchase order on supplier #1 who is required to send these parts to supplier #2. We will then be sending,

    1. Create a Purchase order for supplier 1 and in the delivery address tab at item details level in the vendor field give the supplier 2 number, system will automatically populate the vendor address(supplier 2) in the vendor address field.
    2. Do the GR for the PO, stock will be at supplier 2 physically.
3.Create  a Subcontracting PO for supplier 2, issue the spare parts and the parts from supplier using 541 movement type.
4.Create a third party PO to send the finished goods to the customer.
