Producing warnings when cvi function parameters do not match function prototypes

Is there a function prototype in cvi code which would generate an error/
warning that my parameters do not match those of the function prototype. I
am using MSVC 6 for development.

There is a parameter in the Options>>Build Options menu that do that : check "Require fonctions prototype".
I think that a function can't do that because you have to check that during the compilation. If you want to check parameters at the run time ( like , scanf function ) you have to do by yourself inside the function.

In mentioned patch level, the result/outstanding balance of Aging Report in System Currency was difference when selected 'Display Reconcilied Transactions' or not. The outstanding balance should be be same on both selection.

If the Aging Report cannot disppay the outstanding documetns for reconcile with customer, they cannot check with customers.

Generate the Aging report in System Currency
selected 'Display Reconcilied Transactions' including all transactions and balance is same as Trail Balance
un-selected 'Display Receoncilied Transactions' does not inclding the transactions that Local Currency is zero amount, but System Currency is not zero. The outstanding balance is different to the result of the above selection and Trail Balance as well.
Current Workaround: (Please describe the workarounds you are using at the moment)
Print the Aging Report with selected ' Display Reconcilied Transactions' to show ALL transactions to reconcile the transactions.
Proposed solution: (Please suggest how the new functionality should work)
selected 'Display Reconciled Transactions' or not, the outstanding balance should be the same.

Bapi's do not set sy-subrc. The only way to check if it was succesfull is to loop into the return table for error messages:
You have to use BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT after calling BAPI_PO_CREATE1:

Using Express when the database schema does not match theclass model

We are working on a large pay/personnel management system and are
evaluating Forté Express and Sage Scaffolds. We need to answer some big
questions in the near future, and I was hoping that there may be someone
out there with the answers.
1. How different can the database schema and the class model be, before
Express becomes a bad choice of framework? What solutions exist for cases
where Express is still a viable option?
2. Assuming that we can get around the problem in question 1, will the
Application Model features still work afterwards? (i.e. how sensitive are
the client-side services to changes in the database services?)
3. Express seems to use domain classes everywhere, whereas we are always
being advised to use scalar attributes wherever possible. How badly does
this affect the performance of Express applications?
4. Has anybody out there used Sage Scaffolds on a large project recently?
How did it go? What problems should we watch out for? Doesn't its 'Chain
of Responsibility' pattern tend to produce a lot of unnecessary objects at
run-time?
5. Has anybody used the Born collection classes? How do they compare with
Brahma's Fortify?

PDF with javaScript function from Pro, not fully functional in Reader

Hi,
I followed recommendations to set up a button and apply a javaScript so that when end-user clicks on button, they can upload an image and then save the PDF.
However, in Reader, the file extension drop-down is locked and forces end-user to only have the option of selecting a PDF as their image. I was going for JPG or GIF here at the very least.
Is there anything else I could do, or am I stuck? In Pro, the drop down presents a wide array of file types in which to select from...

Adobe Reader can only insert PDF files as images. Adobe Reader can't convert other files.

How to relink clips when FCPX thinks they do not match

FCPX - I have been trying for hours to relink my clips: they are the same yet FCPX says this every time: "The original file didn't have audio, but the new file does." I need to find a way to force relink the clips. my project is too big to start doing this manually. and you got it - this was due yesturday. If anyone has found a way to fooling FCPX to mach clips please let me know. I have already tried to reimport the clips - no luck. really desperate. hopefully someone knows how to relink when FCPX thinks it can't.

You would need to provide clips that match in terms of audio channels- if FCPX expects an original clip that had no audio channels that what you need to supply in order to relink. With QuickTime Player 7 it's very easy to resave clips without an audio channel:

SAP HANA D3 Library errors - "queue" is not a function

i have a question regarding D3 Integration into SAP HANA and hope one can help me.
The last days i developed a D3 Choropleth (spatial data) with hover effects, tooltips and a legend. I have an existing SAPUI5 and HANA XS application running and now i wanted to integrate my D3 Choropleth.
1 ) First of all, i added the following tags into the head section of the index.html file of my SAPUI5 project as i need those libaries.

I have a SAPUI5 shell with different NavigationItems (tabs) and for this D3 Choropleth tab i am writing:

When i start my SAPUI5 project and klick on the tab where the D3 Choropleth should be rendered, i get the following errors:
d3.scale.threshold is not a function
d3.geo.albers center is not a function
queue is not a function
Moreover, i have to say that my D3 Choropleth works standalone outside HANA very well, that is why i assume it is a library integration issue.
In my browsers (firefox) developer console i can see that there is a D3 library loaded by default (as it is one of SAPUI5s components) with the path: sap/ui5/1/resources/sap/ui/thirdparty/D3.js.
BUT this is a really old version of D3 (2.9), the current release is D3 (3.4), so maybe the problem is that the D3 libary that is loaded by default overwrites my integration of D3 (script tag above)?
Does anyone have the same issues and knows how to solve that? Furthermore it seems that the d3 queue library is also not integrated as the error "queue is not a function" occurs and i also ask me how to solve that error.
We have SAP HANA Developer Edition Revision 80 (by AWS), HANA Studio and Client are on revision 73 (64bit).
It would be great if anyone could help me with my issue.
Further question: Is the current release of D3 going to be integrated into the next HANA revision?

Hi Andreas,
You are right. The way you integrate the libraries in your code is not the way that will work for HANA XS projects. This is why it doesn't accept the queue function (library is not loaded) and also why the 3.x only D3JS funcitons are not accepted (only the internal D3JS library is loading and these functions were not a part of 2.9 yet).
To integrate third party libraries, you need to add XSJSLIB files to your project. These need to pass the server-side JSLint checks before accepted by the XS engine. (Client-side checks that fail might not count though).

Question about function parameters

Looking at a piece of code.
A function is defined with 3 parameters. None of the parameters are "default" parameters.
Call to the function only passes 2 paramters. ie myfunc(parm1,parm2). Have read the docs regarding
function parameters. Not sure how this is working (which it is).   Am I missing something ?
I am new to flex so it could be I am missing a fundamental concept of flex.

RFC Function Module - Message Reference parameters are not allowed with RFC

Hi,
Ive checked the Remote-Enabled Module radio button, declared Import and Export parameters using Type typing and checked the Pass Value in export and import parameters but I still receive message Reference parameters are not allowed with RFC and not able to activate the function module.
Am I missing something?

I faced the same problem and solved it ,
You have defined a reference parameter for a remotely called
function module. However, only value parameters are allowed
for this type of module.
Procedure
Change the reference parameter to a value parameter.

I built a DLL in CVI and is used in TestStand, I want this DLL to have the ability to automatically load function parameters after specifying Module pathname and function name in "Edit C/C++ DLL Call" dialog? How can I do it?

Staring with CVI 7.1 and TestStand 3.1 you do not need a type library for TestStand to load parameters automatically. Just make sure you declare your exported functions with the __declspec(dllexport) modifier as in the following code:

Lojack for laptops - if that is the product you purchased and installed, you will need to read the user manual or contact the manufacturer as it is 3rd party. You did file a police report right?

No longer able to add bookmarks on Yahoo Toolbar, Error message: "Exc in ev handl: TypeError: this.oRoot.enable is not a function" started when I updated to Firefox 6.0

Since updating to Firefox 6.0 I am no longer able to add bookmarks on Yahoo Toolbarl. I receive the following Java Error message: "Exc in ev handl: TypeError: this.oRoot.enable is not a function." When I hit the OK button in the error message it opens up "Add a Bookmark" and when I attempt to add the bookmark there I get this error message: "A problem occured while trying to save the bookmark. Please try again later."
Is this a comparability issue that you are not aware of? Below are the versions of Firefox and Yahoo Toolbar that I currently have installed:

I am having this issue on my laptop and desktop. Since I use both computers the Yahoo toolbar has been great for having my bookmarks available on both computers at the same time but no I don't have that feature. I'm told that Google's toolbar also doesn't work either.
Do you guys do any testing or Quality Assurance testing before releasing these versions?

Add-ons are the responsibility of their authors. McAfee does not even put their extension on http://addons.mozilla.org you had to install it from their site.
Disable "McAfee Site Advisor" extension which was just updated to 3.4.0, which probably took it out of the addons block list.
* "Ctrl+Shift+A" > find McAfee Site Advisor and use "Disable", and then restart Firefox.
* Do a Google Search no problem
* It seems that if you re-enable Site Advisor again, and restart Firefox you are okay. At least you know where to look if you get the error again or Google searches slow down.
