  • Material Ledger,Revaluation Production Cost Center ,Standard Cost

Hi, I have a problem with  revaluation of production cost centers.
Firstly,  production cost center expenses are settled via activity types onto the production order at the end of the period. However,  CKMLCP revaluate cost centers after the settlement because of using standard price. So cost centers at the end of the period have some amount.
As a result we can not find  actual price for production orders.
If I use standard cost in order to consume on cost centers, material ledger revaluates again this cost centers. I dont want this condition. Because this cost center is settled to other cost object before closing.
    Thanks.

    Hi
Go to the following path in SPRO:
Controlling -> Product Cost Controlling -> Actual Costing/Material Ledger -> Actual Costing -> Activate Actual  Costing. Double-click on "Actiavte Actual Costing" and change the indicator from "2" to "1".

  • Product Cost under Moving Average Price

    Hi Sapians,
Please guide me how to configure Product Costing & the users steps to test the same. Here client wants to work in Moving Average Price.
    Regards,
    Vikas

    Hello Viki,
This question can not be answered in this forum simply because its not issue based and we can't help you with each step. Yes product costing can be done using moving average price and you can do so in the Valuation and Account Assignment section in materials management. However, moving average is not a recommended approach for internally manufactured goods and it may result in allocation of the previous period's variance on the valuation of the products in the next period. You can find more on this on SAP Library and you can download the SAP's best practices configuration guides from the SAP website for help on configuring.

  • PO + Ship Costs = Product Cost update?

    Hi Colleagues,
If we have PO price / costs plus shipping costs can we use these to calculate the product cost whether standard or moving average?
    Thanks for your replies
    Kikas

Based on your costing structure it will calculate the cost and then whatever the cost you update as std cost or MAP cost system will take that as product cost for mateiral.

  • Production cost for MTO in Sales Pricing

    Hi All,
For Make-To-Stock items the material standard cost comes from Accounting view of material master as VPRS in Sales Pricing (provided we include that condition type). Now how do I get the production cost for Make-To-Order items in Sales Pricing. Please elaborate the process.
    Thanks in advance.

In the first Accessof the Access sequence 0016 for Additionals (specified for the condition type KAD0) , under the fields - there is a field called Doc. Field. When I changes this field through a ADDNR to MATNR - then the condition record is properly picked and KAD0 condition is filled with the cost and then used accordingly in the calculation schema.
However this looks only like a workaround.

  • Urgent : CO product costing into the SD pricing

client requiremnet is that product costing of material should be reflected in pricing procedure.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Rahul,
you need to work along with CO guys.
the concern condition type is EK01 (cost from co used as a basis for furthur calculation of pricing)& EK02 (used just for reference -statisticle value)
this also has assignment in your respective doc. type.under billing tab.
hope this will put some light on required area.

  • Product Costing - Standard Cost Component Split on Multi Level BOM's

    Hi,
We are the process of introducing SAP for all back office and manufacturing activities.
I am currently trying to verify that the product cost calculation for Multi-Level BOMs in our Legacy system matches the cost roll up or cost estimate in SAP at not only a Total Cost Level but the cost component split must be accurate also. So far, all the costs roll up correctly at a total cost level but I have noticed one issue:
When I run a cost estimate for a single level BOM the cost estimate will split the components accurately into Material, Labor, Fixed Overhead and Variable overhead, However, when this component is then used in the next level of manufacturing all the Labor, Fixed Overhead and Variable Overhead Cost is grouped under Material.
Q1.) Is there a SAP setting or config change that will keep the previous Labor, Fixed OH and Variable OH cost in these categories as the material is rolled up to finished product level?
Q2.) Is there a standard report / view where I can see the Finished Goods Standard Cost split by each of there rolled up Components? This would need to split the Total Material, Total Labor, Total Fixed OH and Total VO required to make the Finished Product.
Q3.) Is there a standard report / view where I can see the added value (Absorption) by component split (Labor, Fixed OH, Variable OH) for every Manufactured Part?
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Brian

  • Re:No release of production order without standard cost estimate

    Hello Experts
I do not want to release any production order without standard cost estimate
I have come acroos the same problem raised by some other users and can you please suggest how to achieve this?
Is there any way to achieve this without user exit?
    Thanks and Regards
    Subbu

    Hello Subbu,
In this case, you need to put the status as "B4" Blocked in costing 1 view of material master, when you create the costing view and change it to "03" status when you released the cost estimate.
Please note that this field can be overwritten in MRP view also. Hence please get the good control of material master and good coordination with PP team to achive this.
Please let me know if you require any clarifications.
    Thank you,
    Regards,
    Santosh

  • How to see materials which donot comes under product cost collector

    hello every body,
can any one help me in finding  materials which donot comes under product cost collector.
thanks for all the people who are supporting me
    regards,
    Bh.krishna mohan

    Dear Krishna,
1.Usally the product cost collectors will be maintained for the materials which are executed using a REM scenario.
2.Check in table MARC for the materials for which REM profile does not exists(means this field should be empty) for a given plant.
3.After executing download this and if needed pass it to MARA table to get the FERT and HALB materials.
4.So only those materials for which REM profile is empty ,the product cost collector does not exists.
Check and revert with your queries.

  • Difference between sale order Costing & Standard Product Costing

    Hi experts
I wanted to know Importance of Sales Order Costing & standard Product Costing.what are the benefits of these.
    Regards
    Sandeep patil

    Dear Sir,
we are implementing SAP in packing industry. In packing industry in PP Bill of material is frequently change, for this we are implementing sales order costing.
We are doing the following things,
    1. we are doing the inquiry at that time we are doing unit costing.
    2. On the basis of inquiry we are preparing the quotation. the unit costing done in inquiry flow to the Quotation because we r preparing the quotation with reference to inquiry.
    3. Similarly we are preparing the sales order based on quoation and unit costing data flows.
    4. Now when we run the MRP it doesnot explode the unit costing material requirement.
Please tell us how the unit costing material data will flow to MRP run.
    Please reply.

  • Integration between Product line costing/schedule/risk/pricing and Finance

    Hi SD Gurus

    HI Gowri
Regarding products, those are not created in the cloud.  In regards to what data is  unidirectional versus bi-directional the discussion normally focuses on who owns the data.  Products aren't owned by the sales or service teams, they are normally owned by a master data function.  Products are unidrectional  from ERP to Cloud for customer.    Review our golden deck, listed in the how-to guide blog to understand what data is integrated.

  • Problems with over/under absorption on production cost centers - GBB AUI

    Hi,
I have a problem with over/under absorption on production cost centers after month end closing.
We are using material ledger CKMLCP and actual activity rates from direct cost centers are settled directly to products using GBB AUI account determination.
Unfortunately from time to time there appears a significant balance on production cost centers after running CKMLCP. What might be the reason? I have analysed line items on cost centers but cannot find any answers.
We are using assignment of cost elements to particular activity types (function splitting), and I have checked that all cost elements are assigned to proper activity types.
    Best regards,
    Karol

    Hi,
DP90 is used for Resource related billing, is broad term basically when you performing service that time you have to raise billing on the basis of resources which you had spend for perticular service
DP90 is run on the basis of DYNAMIC ITEM PROCESSOR,
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_di471/helpdata/en/59/54fc37004d0a1ee10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm
I will tell you one process from the prspective of CS module
Create notification >> Create service order >> Confirm service order >> Resource releted billing (genrates sales document) >> Invoice to customer with refrance to sales document.
Now here DP90 is used to determine material,IN SALES DOCUMENT because CS module don't have billing feature as like SD Billing.
In CS module activities/Operation,but in SD module we speciefy material codes
So DIP determines XYZ activity/operation is ABC material in SD

  • Standard Product Costing help needed

    Hello SAP Gurus,
To cost a manufactured product, my company does the following:
Raw material cost+ labor hours* labor rate+ overhead+subcontracting charges (if done)
overhead = labor hours* overhead rate
Please guide me as to how I should configure the overhead cost elements, costing sheet and other configurations.
I have read up the material on product costing but am finding it difficult to do the settings in my scenario.
Please help me. Its very urgent.
I will award the points immediately.
    Thanks,
    Eilzaa

    Elizaa,
For this you need to define Costing Sheet.
You need Base --- On which Overhead need to applied
Overhead Key -- how much percentage/value of overhead need to be applied
Credit key ---  Offsetting crediting Cost Element and Cost Center
Suppose you want to Apply $20 overhead on every 1Hr Labor then .
Assume you have 2 Activity types with respective allocation Cost Element 91000 and 91001
Overhead Cost Element is 94000 and overhead Cost Center is 1000
Your calculation Base is B00 --- with values 91000 to 91001
Your Overhead Key is Quantity Base overhead key O00 -- with Actual overhead and planned overhead of $10 per 1 HR
    Your Credit Key is C01 --  94000 with 1000
Thus, if there is 1.5 Hrs of labor hrs (Activity1 and Activity2)  are performed then system will calculate 20+10 = $30 Overhead and will credit 94000 with 1000 Cost Center and Debit the Production order.
So total cost in this example will be
Raw material Cost + Labor Cost based on Activity Prices + $30 Overhead Costs
    Thanks

  • Encryption of standard SAP field (product cost)

    Hi,
My client would like to encrypt product cost-related fields, and I was wondering how to encrypt the field much like you would a credit card number of password.
    Thanks
    Brian

Not sure if the encryption is in the GUI so users don't see it or in the database so DBAs can't access it.
One way to encrypt it is through DB encryption methods such as TDE for Oracle.  If you are Oracle shop, TDE is in your license and you can use is as of Oracle 10.2.0.4.
