Production Related Data

Hi Gurus,
I have an ALV where i am displaying a few columns, the columns being displayed are Invoice #, Customer #, Sales Order #, Material #, Batch #, Serial #, Material Document # and Plant. As per my functional knowledge Most of the fields are related to Sales Data.
The problem is i am supposed to display the Manufacturing plant for a particular Batch. Currently i am picking plant from MCHA/B/* tables which gives me the Distribution Plant.
I was unable to find a link between the Sales related Data and Production related Data so as to link the key fields and fetch Manufacturing Plant.
Any sort of input/suggestion would be highly appreciated.
Regards,
Neo.

hi Neo ,
if u are maintaining PLANT Profile then u can find out.check view  V_TWRF2 for plant category.

  • Relative date as selection option

    Hi Experts,
could any of You pls help me to define a relative date as selection options?
I have a program about production order selection with a start date as selection option (AKFO-GSTRP). I would like to run this program daily as a background job with dynamic selection: ex. always select orders start date: -5 days form today up till +5 days from now.
So,I want to define a selection options, which will give possibilit to user define only the number of days, and based on this and sy-datum can calculate the actual value for the selection.  But in so_xxx definition up till now I only referred to a real value, and I  can not do it this time with FOR string. ( My selection field has data element CO_DAT_REL).
Could any of You pls help me - as being beginner at programming-, how to define this relative date selection option?
    Thanks in advance

    Some solutions (if I understood)
    - define a variant for the report, use this variant in the transaction definition (define this variant as a [system variant|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/c0/980389e58611d194cc00a0c94260a5/frameset.htm] (start with CUS& or SAP&) so it will be transported automatically, in this variant define the range of date as a selection variant of type D: Dynamic date calculation and select one of the available variable by F4
    - define a parameter field of type integer, and build yourself the range by subtracting or adding this field to current date, you can define the result range as a select-options, just protect it in the PBO (AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT with a classical LOOP AT SCREEN/MODIFY SCREEN/ENDLOOP)

  • Custom Fields in the Product Master Data

    Hi Experts!
I have to add some custom fields in the product master data on SRM and I also need to have this data to be synchronized with the same in ERP.
After having added this fields, can you pelase suggest a way to syncrhonized them with the ERP? is there a BADI I can leverage as in CRM?

  • Essbase vs. Relational Data Warehouse (Which one is the fact table in DW)?

Guys, thanks in advance for your feedback but below is a simple question i am trying to get feedback on. I am trying to compare an Essbase cube to Relational Data Warehouse containing the same set of information:
    Essbase Dimensions
Time, Account, Product, Scenario (making it easy)
    Relational Data Warehouse
Time (dim), Account (dim), Product (dim), Scenario (Fact table)
    OR
Time (dim), Product (dim), Scenario (dim), Account (Fact Table)
Which of the relational lines is correct? Is Account the fact table? or Scenario the fact table? Account will contain your usual P&L accounts. Scenario will contain your usual Actual, Budget and Forecast scenarios.
    Thanks,

I am so not a DW guy, it's amazing, but I've never let little more than a brush with a product stop me from posting...
Wouldn't all of your dimensions need to be in your fact table? How else would you join from the fact table to the dimensions?
In either layout, wouldn't you have the keys for Product, Time, Scenario, Acount, and then data in the fact table?
Or are you talking about the last dimension in your layouts be the columns? If that were the case (and I don't know that it is), I would guess that Scenario changes less, so it would be in columns, although I can definitely see that not being efficient as you are likely to pull all or some of the Accounts for a given time, product and scenario versus all of the scenarios for a given time, product, and account.
I'm really curious about this as I am just the consumer of star schemas, never (thankfully, and obviously, given the above insane ramblings) the designer of them.

  • PPDS production order dates mismatch between APO and R3

    Hi Friends,
We are facing one problem regarding production order date mish match between R3 and APO systems specific to a product.
The product is planned in PPDS and the order automatically transfer to R3 through online CIF.
PPM has got two operations 0010 and 0020 and activity relationships are like this:
    P(0010) - P(0020) Start - Start relation ship
    S(0010) - P(0010) End - Start relationship.
In PPDS dates are shown as :
on operation 0010 the start/end  dates are shown as  08.15.09 to 08.22.09
on operation 0020 the start/end  dates are shown as 08.15.09 to 08.22.09
Overall order start date is  08.15.09
Overall order finish date is 08.22.09
and in R3 dates are shown as:
on operation 0010 the start/end  date are shown as  08.15.09 to 08.22.09
on operation 0020 the start/end dates are shown as 08.22.09 to 08.29.09
Overall order start date is  08.15.09
Overall order finish date is 08.29.09
The order is off one week (APO vs R3) with start and finish dates.
if we change DS Board settings to ignore internal relationships manually then the dates are matching exactly in APO and R3.
We want the production order dates to be matched without manual intervention.
Could some one please provide some hints on what is happening here and how to correct it.
    Thanks.
    Krish

    Hi Friends,
Thanks a lot for your valuable replies in this regard.
Actually this problem is in production environment and it took some time to test the problem with the master data modifications
    you suggested.
As DB and Siddhrath mentioned, the problem was with routing definition. There is no parallel sequence maintained in the routing but there is start-start relation maintained in APO PPM.
We corrected the routing definition and checked the order dates. Now the dates  are matching in R3 and APO.
I am awarding DB and Siddharth each five points in this regard.
Once again thank you all for your time and valuable replies.
    -Regards
    Krish.

  • Is it possible to integrate relational data with OLAP cubes?

I have a web application that accesses cubes created from AWM via the OLAP API. I need to integrate a column from a relational table in the front application and display the column along side cube data.
Is there any way to achieve the functionality from the OLAP API?

Can you explain how the relational data source relates to the OLAP data, is it a master-detail relationship? If this is the case then you could consider the following:
    1) Depending on how you are displaying the OLAP data. If you are using a non-BI Beans presentation bean then if the keys are consistent across both data sources it should be possible to create two separate queries and glue them together using the common keys within your data source module.
    2) Alternatively, you create a custom text measure within AWM and then use OLAP DML to extract the detail data and load it into a multi-line text variable that could be retrieved via OLAPI. This might not work if there is a large number of rows within the text variable to retrieve as formatting the results within your application might get complicated. The OLAP DML Help contains a lot of excellent examples that will help you create a program that uses SQL commands to load data.
    Hope this helps

  • Upload Summary Production History data

    Hi All,
I want to upload data for summary production history data, scenario is that there is no transaction to upload the data and there is a table called s225 that contains the data related to summary production history data. I can not use any BDC or LSMW. Does any one of you know about any BAPI through which I can upload the data into table s225 or I will have to directly insert the records from data file using a report into table s225. What should be the right approach when there is no transaction defined to upload data and no BAPI is also given.
    Thanks
    Mahen

    Hi Mahender,
    1. Are u sure only one table S225 is involved for this ?
    2. If so, then u can directly upload
       into this table using
GUI_UPLOAD (upload data into ITAB, same structure as S225)
       MODIFY (sql)
          ie. Modify S225 from itab
              (in one shot)
    3. However, it is not recommended
to tamper data of standard tables directly.
sap may stop support due to this !

  • BI Beans for relational data?

    Hi,
Discoverer 10g BI can operate on relational data too and Discoverer Viewer 10g BI uses the same BI beans. Does some one know if Oracle plans to make BI beans usable for Relational data too?
    Regards,
    Tamas Szecsy

In case some one might be interested, this is what Metalink Support answered:
    - The presentation builder beans are not available for relational data sources.
    - BI Beans graph can be created for relational data soucre, however are feature limitations compared to the OLAP datasourced graph:
    http://bibeans.us.oracle.com:8888/ohw/help/?topic=bi_specifying_data_graph_html
    - BI Beans graph is created in Reports and Form, that can be a little bit customized:

  • Activate Change Document - Product Master Data

    Hi Experts,
I am looking for comments on the following things. I hope the experts could share experience related to real time projects that you have worked / are working.
I am considering the option to activate Change Documents for Product Master data, Product Location Master data and Transportation Lanes.
Question I have (Please answer on any or all of the questions, if you can):
    1. Have you activated change documents on Product Master data? If so, how many products you have in total (number of entries in /SAPAPO/MATKEY)?
Have you turned it off later due to performance reasons? Or Storage/hardware constraints?
    2. Do you have the change documents active on Location product master data? How many location products do you have in total (no. of entries in /SAPAPO/MATLOC)?
    3. Transportation lanes - Change documents activated? Does it also say if the external procurement relationship is activated or deactivated and the user who did this and date? How many transportation lanes do you have in total? Is there a possibility to activate the change documents on transportation lanes only for those which are procured from external vendors (not for Stock transfers... only for those arrives in from Suppliers)?
    Thanks,
    Suresh

    Hi Satish,
    Thanks for your reply
    2 more question:
    1. Are you logging the changes to all fields of product/product-location master data? Or you are logging only some of the data like: Product UoM changes / Product Header / etc?
    2. Also, regarding transportation lanes, does it also say who activated or deactivated the external procurement relationship and when?
    Thanks,
    Suresh

  • Bento - Add a Related Data Field

I know Bento is discontinued by File Maker and that it's not an Apple product, BUT, this forum usually seems to have the answer so I am asking!  I use Bento for one project annually.  I figured out how to replicate my libraries from a previous year.  There are two libraries - 1) Customer  2) Products.  My Customer form contains a "spreadsheet" at the top of related data from the product file which creates a receipt I can email each customer for the products they ordered.  My problem is that there is a new field in the Product library this year that I need to add to the related data "spreadsheet".  I cannot figure out how to add it!  I want to maintain all the current fields that come over and add this one new one.  Does anyone out there know how to do that?  Thanks in advance for your help!

  • Object-relational data model

Hi, I am facing to choose an DBMS product for a big project. Does 8i support an object-oriented or object-relational data model?
    Thank you!

Hi, Oracle8 and Oracle8i will provide you object relational model. It is not pure object-oriented solution. In the field of databases it is difficult to impliment pure object-oriented solution now a days. But it is easy to understand and design an object-relational design and implimentation. In Oracle8 there are some very useful facilities for such a design like the concept of nested tables. I had a project of defence nature and design in object-relational technique and find much easy and understandable then pure relational approach. If it is possible for you then please be contect with me on mail and send me a little information about your work and experience.

  • How to generate XML from relational data : PL/SQL or Java

I'm new to Oracle XML and would appreciate some advice. I've been asked to generate XML documents from data stored in relational tables. The XML documents must be validated against a DTD. We will probably want to store the XML in the database.
    I've seen a PL/SQL based approach as follows :
1.Mimic the structure of the DTD using SQL object types 2.Assign the relational data to the object type using PL/SQL as required
3.Use the SYS_XMLGEN package to render the required XML documents from the SQL objects
However, creating the object types seems to be quite time consuming (step 1 above) for anything other than the simplest of XML documents.
I've also seen that there is the Java based approach, namely :
    1. Use the XML generator to build Java classes based on a DTD.
    2. Use these classes to build the required XML
On the face of it, the Java based approach seems simpler. However, I'm not that familiar with Java.
Which is the best way to proceed ? Is the PL/SQL based approach worth pursuing or should I bite the bullet and brush up my Java ?
Is it possible to use a combination of PL/SQL and Java to populate the dtd generated java classes (step 2 of the Java approach) to reduce my learning curve ?
    Thanks in advance

    To help answer your questions:
    1) Now, in 9iR2, you can use SQL/XML as another choice.
    2) You can also use XSU to generate the XML and use XSLT to transform it to a desired format instead of using object views if possible.
    3) XDK provide Class generator support to populate XML data to Java classes.

  • Any way to disable "Use Relative Dates" everywhere in Finder?

Is there any way to make Use Relative Dates to NOT be on by default in Finder?
I just hate the yesterday, today, etc. crap. I want to just see the file dates. Period. I don't want to have to figure out what the date was yesterday to do a file date comparison.
Yes, you can turn it off but each time I check Use as defaults and open a new folder in finder, the relative dates are back! Argggh!
Thanks for any help on this.

Yes its very easy, with finder open, finder bar at top see View, "drop down box" Show View Options, remove the check mark for use relative dates.
