Products.jar corrupted ?!

Hello Collegues,
i am trying to re-install oracle database but getting error "products.jar corrupted".
This file actually is not corrupted, probably something is left after remove by runInstaller...
Have no idea what i have to delete/change after database uninstall by runInstaller?
Should i uninstall SAP too (CI and half od DB instance)?
Thank you in advises.

The process is as follows:
- start sapinst
- sapinst prompts for Oracle installation (use the RUNINSTALLER script in the SAP subdirectory under Disk1, not the standard runInstaller from Oracle
- install latest patchset
- install latest patches
- continue with sapinst
You didn't tell, when you get this error about a corrupt products.jar.
Check the installation guide what you need to delete if you want to reinstall.

Unzip directly in Linux and see what happens.

  • Missing products.jar

I downloaded the 815shipstd.tgz file. I read and followed the PDF file. I had to buy some extra MBs of Ram. I set up the oracle8i user and oinstaller and dba groups. OUI started up real nice. Then... the "Source" field
    wants a products.jar file. It doesn't exist!
Can anyone help me? I think everything is set up really fine.

It's o.k. now. I had to re-download the compressed tar, it was corrupt the first time.

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Java 1.4.2_03 Windows: The configuration data for this product is corrupt.

Trying to install j2SE 1.4.2_03 JRE on a Windows system (exact version needed for a bussiness application) after all previous Java installations have been deleted and all Windows Registry Java related keys have been manually deleted with Regedit.exe.
The EXE installer works properly in other machines but in this one it stops after a few seconds with the following message:
"The configuration data for this product is corrupt. Contact your support personnel".
The problem is related to the Windows install mechanism rather than the Java installer itself and likely caused by the manual Registry deletion.
The error code is 1610: ERROR_BAD_CONFIGURATION.
Reinstalling Windows didn't fix the problem.
Unable to recover the system to a previous state with the System Recovery Tool (Accesories/System Tools).
Other versions of Java installers fail the same way and show the same message.
I don't know how to contact "my support personnel" nor who they are.
I'd appreciate any help about this problem or what Java installers need within the Registry to work or a clue of any kind.

Sorry for the duplicated message. It's my first post and I messed up a little with the right section.
A new downloaded copy of the file or other versions of Java failed to install with the same error message.
I've learned there is a product ID in the registry that must be present for the installer to run. I'm searching for this "mysterious" product ID and how to set the right Windows XP Registry entry for the JSE 1.4.2_03 version.
I'm still not sure this will fix the problem.
    Thanks for replying.

  • Cannot find "Products.jar" when intalling ODBC for 10g

The intall directions say to point to the path where Products.jar file is located after unziping the download. I see Products.xml but no Products.jar file. I am unable to install ODBC.

    Hi Jon,
Were you able to successfully create an ODBC DSN entry using 10.1.0.3.1 driver?
I installed the Oracle ODBC Driver 10.1.0.3.1 using the Oracle Universal Installer v10g. I also couldn't find the Products.jar file, so I selected products.xml file. The OUI said installation was successful.
However, when I go to ODBC Data Source Administrator and try to add a new entry, it GPFs.
Then I tried uninstalling the 10.1.0.2 driver, but it still doesn't work.
    Any hints?
    Thank you in advance!

  • Combine multiple jars into one product jar

    Hi everybody,
I use multiple third party jar APIs in my applet project. When I built the project, I get one product jar and the other jars in LIB folder. I am wanna produce only one jar including other jars inside. I use netbeans.
Shortly How can I combine all jars into one jar ?
    Thanks...

    woaw, Got it: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/articles/javase/single-jar-141905.html
Other jars were signed jars in project. Now, I got only only one jar and unsigned.
If I sign this unique jar, will I see a problem ?

  • Bonjour64 error: "The configuration data for this product is corrupt.  Contact your support personnel."

Have use WinRAR to pull out only Bonjour64 from iTunes 11.1.5 (and prior releases) to do an install of only Bonjour, as all other iTunes-related software loads fine (have used 11.1.4 and new 11.1.5).  I get the error: "The configuration data for this product is corrupt.  Contact your support personnel."  Have tried everything suggested on net and this forum, including uninstalling everything, cleaning registry, disabling firewall, etc.  Not worthwhile to reinstal Windows 7.  What do I do?

After clicking one of the circled links, you should be taken to another page, and after a few seconds you should see a download dialog appear for the msicuu2.exe file. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like for me in Firefox:
Choose to Save the file. If the dialog box does not appear for you, click the link on the page that says "CLICK HERE IF IT DOES NOT". Here's a screenshot of the page with the relevant link circled:
When the dialog appears, choose to save the file.

Since this question is about a Microsoft product, you might have more luck getting suggestions if you ask in Microsoft's own forums.
