I created a form using LiveCycle Designer that connects to a Access Database. User chooses an item from a dropdown list and the form is populated with data from the database. I work in an area that has about 80 users all having reader loaded on their machines. I know I had to have reader extensions to make the database connection using reader on the desktops. What I did not realize was that you can only buy them in 100 user packs and they are about $ 100.00/user. What I am wondering now is if using Adobe Flex Builder to build the form and use Adobe Air on the machines would be a better option for me?
Does anyone know what products I would need to make this one form work in an enterprise setting without spending $ 10,000.00.

I don't know the LiveCycle ecosystem too well, so can't comment on LiveCycle specifics orr pricing.
However, it sounds to me like you are creating a client server application. If so, you do not want to use Access. It is not built for mulit-user applications. You'll want to use a server side database. MySQL or SQL Server Express are 'free options, SQL Server or Oracle are two commercial alteratives.
Flex and AIR are interface building tools. They are not designed to access a remote database directly. ( Although AIR can access a local SQL Lite database). You'll need some kind of middleware. ColdFusion is one option. Microsoft .NET is another option. Java, PHP, Ruby, etc.. are all other options.
So, to set up your application using Flex / AIR:
1) Flex/AIR app on each user's local computer which will access...
2) Application Server Software on a server, which will communicate...
3) With a server side database
To get data from the database to the Flex/AIR app, you just run the numbered list in reverse. The server side database returns aquery to the middleware / application server, which returns the query data to the Flex/AIR front end.
There are ways to set up this system with minimal cost. Flex/AIR is free. You can use PHP, Ruby, or another free application server. Then use MySQL or another free database. You'll need a machine to hold the server software. But, I would assume that is a nominal cost compared to the 80 users running your app. ( Then again, I would have assumed that the $10K is nominal for an 80+ person company too )

I wonder if this is to do with the Camera RAW 9.0 update. The timing sounds right.
Check out your Bridge > Preferences > File association for CR2 files
You can reset Bridge Preferences the same way as with Photoshop:
Reset Preferences
Windows — Hold down Shift Ctrl Alt immediately after starting Photoshop
Mac — Hold down Shift Cmd Opt immediately after starting Photoshop

Do individual Adobe products need to be uninstalled before installing creative cloud?

I am deploying user licenses to several users in a department where a lot of individual Adobe products are installed and already in use. Will these individual products need to be uninstalled before using or installing Adobe Creative Cloud?

When you install different versions, you should always do so in order from first to last. With a different order, you will (almost certainly) overwrite crucial files with older versions.

Local Change Request created in PRODUCTION needs to be moved to SANDBOX

I need to transport a request from Production (BWP) to a sandbox system (BS1), but when I create the transport it is created as a Local Change Request. How can I change it to a transportable request? I've checked the development class and it is correct. The package is ZBW and the transport layer is ZBD1. Please help.

Adding further to Santosh's suggestion....
Creating the transport of copies is the easiest option..if this is a one time activity...
Once the the objects are included from the Local change request to the transport of copies...release this...
Then move the tranport files at the OS level to the import queue of the Sandbox system....then in STMS of the SANDBOX..attach these file to the queue and then import it....

One simple question:
If I want to store a XML document into a ORACLE database, which additional Products do I have to install beside the Oracle 8i server.

For storing as CLOB's, nothing extra.
For storing as relational, then:

Huge problem with the soundblaster products need h

Hello guys and gals,
I am now lost on what to do I have done everything to counter posting on this forum. My problem is that my sound doesn't work at all. I will put it in the story that happened below.
I was playing Counter-Strike on spring break and suddenly I lost sound. I check to see if I hit mute but I didn't. I ended checking device manager and it said I didn't have my Creative Soundblaster Audigy?LS installed. It showed up as Unknown Device in Device Manager. I tried uninstalling all the drivers and reinstalling them but It said it needs to identify the card and to make sure it's plugged in which it is. So I tried to switch PCI Slots, and that did absolutely nothing. I tried switching to my oldest dri've which had the same card drivers installed but yet no sound while saying it can't identify it. So I thought it was just the card itself. I went to go get a new one and the one I got was Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Fatalty XtremeGamer Professional Series. I put it into my PCI Slot and it did the same exact thing. I noticed that the LS had a blue cord for the?four pin?CD thing on the motherboard. I put that into my new sound card and it popped up as MultiMedia Manager or something very close to that, I was filled with joy. So I could install my drivers for the sound card. After It was done checking I went to device manager and it was there. Then I rebooted and wasn't in there. I thought it was something with the harddri've so I reformatted another dri've and installed windows on it and everything. It let me install the drivers and it showed up in the sound, and audio devices as Creative Soundblaster X-FI. I go to reboot and after I came back to check if it was there and it wasn't. I cehck msinfo and it wasn't anywhere in there. I got everest program that is like msinfo but a lot more detailed. It said both pci slots aren't in use but I know it's in use cause the red LED light that lights up The F symbol is on and running. I even tried the ASUS probe program and checked everything but it was a failure. I am getting extremely aggrivated. I don't ever want to give up on creative since I have a zen which is cool and I have always trusted their sound cards. If anyone has any idea on what to do please tell me.
Or it could be that the motherboard was programmed to die after 90 days :P but I doubt it.
For the love of god I need help I checked the entire web. EVERYWHERE even the FAQ didn't help me. Please give me some ti

Oh if it is only to run on service pack 2 tell me that since I think I have regular windows xp professional.

Just because something is wrong and you wait minute and get no response doesn't mean they suck. Your the one who should be shot and pissed on. I like creative. I've always trusted their products.

Single Finished product needs to be shipped in 2 separate crates

The company manufactures a finished product that needs to be shipped in 2 crates
How would this delivery split be achived in SAP?
Note we dont want to use BOM
just one material but need to be shipped in 2 crates.

hello, friend.
if the order quantity of the material is more than 1, i suppose you can do delivery splits with the packing option.
however, if your quantity is 1, and you wish to ship the finished product using at least 2 different delivery documents, i believe you must use a BOM with components. the components need to be packed separately. the BOM will most likely be crucial since you would want the components to be specified in the delivery documents, and they would most likely be of different specifications.
you can try another alternative without BOM by using alternate units of measure. for example: 1 unit finished product = 2 pcs of product. you can then crate each pc.

Products needed for X12

Hi
Could someone advice on the products required for outbound and inbound X12 messaging using AS904 EE.
I'm unsure if InterConnect, ProcessConnect, BPEL are what I need to model and deploy X12 messaging.
On the Integration pages there is mention of a B2B Adapter - is this included in any of the above ? if not where can I download it ?

Firstly forget about ProcessConnect, not sure if it has officially been scrapped but there are very few clients using it and it was so complicated to use that they are pushing BPEL instead.
Oracle did release an add-on for Interconnect called PartnerConnect which I understand provided another set of adapters that implemented various B2B protocols such as RossettaNet and ebXML. I'm not sure what the full list was but search through OTN and i'm sure you will get some info.
If you have Java experience then you always the option of writing your own custom adapter for Interconnect that called WebServices that implement the X12 protocol (if WebServices can do that, not sure??)...

If I develop a softwae in Oracle 8i / D2K and need to implement that software in the client's place that has a Win NT Server 4.0 and several nodes (Windows 98) connected by LAN, what are the softwares that are required to be installed at the server and the workstations in order that the software developed by me to run.

You will only need to install Runtime of Forms, report and graphics depending upon what all components you are using. Other required components will be installed automatically by the Oracle Installer.
Beside for ease of network configuration, you might want to install network components. NET8 and the protocol you will be using e.g. TCP etc.

NewBlueFX - CC versions - turning off GPU for all products needed

I've had NewBlueFX plugins for quite a while now - but the one issue that bugs me about using them is I have to turn off GPU for all products when applying them (virtually every job). I was advised by NewBlue to do this when I was having problems editing and playback being messd around visually why editing.
Just installed (correctly) their updated CUDA versions and still no difference in preformance and still have to turn off GPU...
Clicking on the plugin applied>info>click "disable GPU for all products" and it all runs smoothly.
Does anyone else have the same issue? Is it an issue or is this normal? Why?
Should it not be that effects plugins like this should actually work with all the bells and whistles turned on - not off?
Having spent out on a machine with 24 cores, a Quadro 2000 card and stacks of memory - the machine should be able to handle a NewBlueFX plugin with GPU and everything turned on...?

Just below "Extras" in the View menu there is "Show...", where you can check/uncheck individual items - permanently.
Ctrl+H (extras) is just a bucket to collect them all and turn off with a single shortcut.

Cant get support, product needs rma!!

I cant submit a ticket for my device no matter what browser i use... Im trying to RMA my N5902 keyboard/remote and the ticket system only lists the N5901. I submitted a ticket anyway using the N5901 and an older OS (vista, im on 7), and submit it but never get a response. Ive been trying to submit a ticket for the last few months but receive nothing back, nothing in junk mail, no phone call, nothing. When submitting a ticket, i get this error message

Just for full disclosure, there are a handful of malware pieces out there. Also, "virus" is not the correction common definition. A virus is a particular type of unwanted, or damaging software. The more recent all encompassing term is malware, which is short for "malicious software".
1. Viruses - Zero. Not a single virus of any kind has been found in the wild that affects the Mac OS.
2. Worms - One long dead worm that reportedly infected less than 100 computers.
3. Trojans - These are the most common (and there aren't a lot of them). They attempt to trick you installing them by pretending to be something else. They can't self replicate like a virus. Each infection requires the user's help to get it installed.
4. Java attacks - These were the most recent. It was the first attack to successfully infect the Mac OS simply by visiting an infected web site. No user interaction was necessary. The easy fix was to turn Java off in your web browser. Leave JavaScript on. Despite the similar name, they have nothing to do with each other.
Java, and the Mac OS have since been updated against these attacks, and the writers of these attacks apparently haven't been able to find a way around these patches. There have been no such attacks for over a year.
Basically, the Mac needs no help. Those who do run AV software, or are required to (business office, school systems, etc.) are there to help catch the myriad of Windows malware that gets passed around. For the Mac in such situations, you're really just catching Windows malware that comes to you in the form of an email attachment so you don't unknowingly forward them to Windows users.

my company plans to integrate a windowsbased databasereplication (hot standby) and in future a RAC.
Here are my questions:
- do we need enterprise-versions of Windows Server 2003 ?
- do we need enterprise-versions of oracle 10g ?
Like this article http://www.oracle.com/database/product_editions.html are both (replication and rac) available in standardedition, but it's about
Oracle 11g and not Oracle 10g.

it's much easier.
In first step, we want to build a database replication with 2 oracle databases (i just read in articles that there are 2 ways to do it - as an cold standby and an hot standby, we will use the hot-standby way).
In second step we will build an RAC.
I know, that dataguard is only available in enterprise-version, but (if i'm right) we do not need dataguard to build a replication or a RAC.
The only (maybe too easy) question is, if we need an enterprise version of oracle (i don't think so) and if we need an enterprise version of Windows 2003 server (i also think no, but i'm quite not shure).
