Profile name change

Hi folks,
i want to change my profile name with the same account.i checked control panel but there is no edit option.
can you let me know how can edit my profile name..

Hello Neelu,
You change this using the link at the top of this page "MyProfile". From that menu select "Update Profile". On the update profile page you will see a box to enter a display name. Change what is there and use the save buttons located at either the top or bottom of the page.
It may take up to 24 hours before your change becomes visible.

Just received an update from our QA team that a new change was introduced that blocks the ability to change a display name entirely. Sorry for this earlier misleading reply.

Firefox will not open and my profile name changes, after I creat a new profile it works until I try to open again

Firefox version 16.0.2 was working I have used FF for years. A few days ago it started to run very slow opening web sites. Then this morning when I tried to open it I saw a progress bar that looked like the kind I see after an update has been applied but FF never opened.
I rebooted my windows 7 64 bit and tried again, nothing FF would not open and I got no error message.
So I opened the profile manager and only found a default profile not the one I created last year with my name. I created a new profile and browsed to my old profile folder. FF opened and ran fine until I closed it and later tried to open it again then I kept getting an error box telling me that FF had crashed and asked if I wanted to send a report and restart, I did but no good it still would not open.
I ran the profile manager again and found my profile had changed name to a bunch of numbers. I delete that profile but kept the folder then made a new one and that worked. I shut it down again and once again I get the We're sorry error box.
By the way I had set the profile manager to open when FF loads and it is not opening so the problem is before it gets to that command.

First I already have my view set to show everything so that is not the problem.
But I just tried opening "Computer" from the start button then type in profiles.ini in the address bar and hit enter. The profile manager opened with my profile listed. I selected it and hit start firefox and it opened as it should.
I closed it again and tried to open it from the shortcut in my task bar and I got the Sorry window.
But then I tried to open it from the short cut you get when you press the start button and program list and it work!
I went back to my desk top and tried the short cut on the desk top and it worked.
So I deleted the short cut on the task bar and created a new one and it worked.
I rebooted the computer and tried again and the task bar shortcut works and has the right profile.
So it seems that the problem is that the short cut was corrupted and was causing the error that caused the program to fail to open.
I had no idea a shortcut could do that. In the past I have had short cut stop working but never do what this one did.
I still have no idea where the profiles.ini is.

STOP INTERCHANGING PROFILE NAMES

I had a Curve 3 blackberry and later bought a Curve 7 BB. I gave out the old Curve 3 to a family member. I added the the old BB as a contact on my new BB (Curve 7). Surprisinngly, her profile name changes to mine and mine changes to hers.
I observed I used the same Blackberry ID and didnt delete my email adress details before giving it out. The same email address is used for the second one. Each time we tried changing the Curve 3 ID, that of Curve 7 would be changed automatically and vice versa. I am confused!

@ gutijose14, those directions make little sense in English. I am betting there is some language barrier here and English is your second language and whatever you are recommending to this user is not coming across clearly...
...for instance: "Three. - There Delete select Security."
and then you proceed to number your items as "1. Two. Three. April. May. June. July"... from numbers to months of the year?
It is always helpful to receive help, to include your exact BlackBerry device model # and carrier name, so that when you have a question, that information won't need to be asked up front. Also, stating your device Operating System version is normally another common question, found on your BlackBerry at Options > Device > About, third line down, looks like "v6.x.x.xxx"
You have your mobile phone number listed as your "My Mobile Provider" or carrier. Putting your phone number out on the internet on these public forums for the world to see, is not wise. To change that, at the top of this page click on My Settings > Personal Profile > Personal Information, and in the entry block for "Carrier" type the name of your mobile provider.

You cannot...once created, it is permanent. To change would require admin access...if really necessary, click the "Report Inappropriate Content" link on the left side of any of your posts and ask for the change you desire.

I would recommend going posting there as BT Retail Business employees will be able to help you along with other BT Business customer who use MS Office 365.
However to my memory, if you sign into https://login.microsoftonline.com/‎ then click on your account (where your name is dispalyed) and change the Profile name.
Sometimes you may need to request your organisation's IT Admin to change it for you from the BT Business and Office365 Admin control manager software.

Outlook does not connect to Exchange 2013 after name change due to marriage

When launching Outlook and clicking through the setup wizard to create a new profile, Outlook auto-discovers the correct email alias. When establishing a connection it successfully checks network connectivity and successfully searches the email settings.
When it attempts to logon to the mail server the error comes up.
"The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action."
Clicking "Check Name" gives the error:
"The name cannot be resolved. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action."
The same result occurs with a manual setup.
We are running Exchange Server 2013. User workstations are running Outlook 2013 on Windows 7 Pro. All updates have been applied as of March 31, 2015.
All name changes have been made in AD and Exchange. Old aliases and new aliases are set in Exchange. Offline Address books are updated daily. The local profile and registry settings have been updated on the workstation and the user is successfully logging
into the profile. The issue is only with Outlook 2013. User can access mail through OWA and ActiveSync on their mobile device.
Logging the user into another workstation and running the wizard returns the same results, which rules out the possible problem being with the workstation.

According to your description, I understand that failed auto-configure Outlook with error “The name cannot be resolved. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable…”, however OWA works fine.
If I misunderstand your concern, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Are all account or any special user experience this question?
If OWA works fine, it indicate that the mailbox database is mounted, and mailbox works well.
I notice that you have changed the account name before issue arise, because external access, the client locates the Autodiscover service on the Internet by using the primary SMTP domain address from the user's email address.

Color space/profile name

I have some pictures that don't show a thumbnail in iPhoto. The info dialog for them says the Color Space is "Gray" and the Profile name is "Gr?skala - gamma 2,2". If I double-click on of these the enlarged image seems somewhat faded. The picture looks fine if I just view it directly in Preview, or ColorSync Utility. It seems most pictures have a Color Space of RGB, how to I change the Color Space of these files to RGB?

Download the Automator application "Embed sRGB Profile" from Toad's Cellar and unzip it. Then locate the original files for those problem images and drop them on it. Next launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library and select the first three options. This should get those images compatible with iPhoto.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. Quick Profile Name system not working as expected

When I open the EMET and I change the value of "Quick Profile Name" from Recommended Security settings to maximum security settings and then restart the application it always changes to "Custom Security Settings" and it also changes
the Data Execution Prevention (DEP) from "Always On" (like it is on maximum security settings mode) to "Application Opt in". How do I get it to stay on the Maximum security setting? Even if I change only the DEP to "Always On"

ERM - composite role is requiring profile name

I am configuring ERM (AC 5.3 SP8) and have imported all single and composite roles. I have naming standards set up for all Single roles, composite roles, derived roles, and profile names. However, when I try to create or change a composite role, it thinks a profile needs to be there (I blank it out on the create). Composite roles don't require profile names.
If I delete the naming standard for profile, it doesn't require a profile for composite. But then when I create a single role, it isn't there either. I really want to maintain a naming standard for profiles for single and derived roles. How can I do this without needing it for my composite roles?

It is a bug with SAP.
You can have naming standards for profiles as long as you have ENFORCED=disabled. So, basically, as long as you don't enforce your (profile) naming standards you can delete the profile name when you are creating a composite role. It sort of defeats the purpose of enforcing naming standards but at least it's a work around. SAP has this in development right now and it is being looked at.

Profile Name: kCGColorSpaceGenericHDR

All of my CR2 files have the Profile Name: kCGColorSpaceGenericHDR (under Metadata>EXIF info). They used to say Adobe RGB (1998). My NEF files have not changed. I did have to rebuild the Library a short time ago, but everything is up-to-date and seemingly fine. That reads like Klingon to me. Any thoughts as to why this is, and do I need to be concerned?

Tony (and whoever else is interested) - not trying to resurrect an old post, but thought I would give an update to something interesting, at least to me. So this change in the profile name to my RAW files occurred after I installed CS5 (which i don't use much anyway). Both NEF and CR2 files were changed throughout my library. With the NEF files, I was given the choice in the RAW Fine Tuning Adjustments to reprocess the file. When I did, Aperture converted the profile name back to what it was, Adobe RGB. However, this was not the case with the CR2 files. If I tried to Reprocess Master..., Aperture tells me nothing needs to be reprocessed. However, I tried Update from Master and that worked. I even got all my EXIF data back which CS5 stripped away somehow. So, now I am curious as to what this Update from Master is all about and how does it differ from Reprocess Master...

Is it possible for either one of you admins to change my profile name? as in my username when people add me.

You can change your display name however Skype names cannot be changed. If you require a different Skype name you would have to create a new account.
