Profit Center in Create PO w/o Account Assignment Category

Hi SAP Experts,
Still related to my previous post re: display of the Profit Center field in the PO create screen without Account Assignment Category.  Have looked into the SAP HELP ECC 6.0 on why is it not part of the "Maintain AAC" but to no avail.
Please explain the following for my understanding:
1) Why is the <blank> AAC for no acct assignment cat is not in the maintain AAC in SPRO in ECC6.0?
2) If this is standard in ECC6.0, how can I add a new entry in Maintain AAC that will also behave as the <blank> AAC (no AAC)?
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Melanie

Hi Melanie,
1. The simple answer is that Acc assignment cat is mandatory , so if we filled with blank then the system wont allow it
2. Blank acc assigment mean not acc assignment need for the Transaction so you cannot set a blank acc assigmment which behave like an exist acc assigment.
Sorry , not mean to harass ,  but its seem not possible. Maybe you need to think for another workaround for your requirement.

  • PO with account assignment category K and use two cost center

    Dear Experts
    When I create a PO with account assignment category K and use two cost center in the account assigment tab of PO with the same GL or with different GL in the both line item, The FI document does not get posted.
    Any input on this please.
    Regards
    Paul

    Hi,
    Check in the PO document - Item level - Delivery tab
    There are two indicators
    1. Good receipt
    2. GR non-valuated.
    If you are giving only one cost centre, only GR check box active and  GR non-valuated check box is in-active. That's why System creating FI document during GR.
    If you are giving two cost centres, Both GR check box and  GR non-valuated check box are active. That's why System is not creating any FI documents during GR.

  • Multiple account assignment category

    Hello All,
    I have situation where in we have created a PO with account assignment category as K and Item category as B. The PO has a single account assignment and it is entered against a Cost center.
    We have entered an Invoice against this PO linre item and split the total amount into two different lines. The split lines allthough contain the same GL.Cost center and Profit Center.
    Now when the user tries to reverse the Invoice using MR8M t-code he gets the error M8008 error in MRM.
    Does that mean if the account assignment category is K we cannot split the amount into two different lines.
    Please suggest
    Thanks

    Hi,
    search SAPNET messages using search-terms "M8008 MR8M" or "M8 008 MR8M", there are some notes dealing with this case.

  • Funded Program in ME21N with Account Assignment Category equal BLANK

    Hi
    I am doing one ME21N (create purchase order) with Account Assignment Category equal BLANK " ". In u201Caccount  assignmentu201D the system only allow to fill the fields u201Cfunds centeru201D, and   the u201Ccommitment itemu201D but as the purchase is to INVESTMENT I need to fill the field FUNDED PROGRAM too. I haven´t internal order (CO) and project (wbs element) to do one derivation in this point of process (these objects will be create during the business process).  I have already tried to use the fields of FMDERIVE´s trace but unfortunately any combination help me to define the Funded Program.
    thanks,
    Claudio

    Hi Claudio,
    I want also to share with you some information about Funded Programs.
    Funded programs are used mainly as FM account assignment elements, in the same way as funds, funds centers, commitment items, and functional areas are. Budget can be entered for them and monitored in them.
    You can enter the funded program directly in budgeting, but when you are using the funded program in integrated postings, it is not possible to enter the funded program directly. This is the system design.
    The funded program uses much of the functionality of the Business Data Toolset (BDT). If you want to customize the funded program master data, you should be familiar with the BDT.
    The use of funded program as part of FM account assignment for budgeting, can cause performance issues (posting and reports).
    SAP recommends that:
    a. Funded Program must be derived using rules specified in the FM derivation tool (FMDERIVE);
    b. While you can use any operative element as the source for deriving funded programs, we strongly recommend that you use only WBS elements, orders, or networks.

  • BAPI_PO_CREATE1 - PO not created due to wrong account assignment

    Hello,
    I'm trying to use this BAPI for a PO that I can create with ME21n, so I'm asking you what can be wrong with my input data. Here are the facts:
    A - Message returned: KI / 265: Cost Center 1000 / 1000 does not exist;
    B - Account Assignment Category = 'K' (Cost Center);
    C - G/L account exists and is valid for the PO date;
    D - Cost center exists and is valid for the PO date;
    Here's how I'm filling the POACCOUNT table (one item only)
    PO_ITEM = 00010
    SERIAL_NO = 01
    CREAT_DATE = 20.10.2009
    GL_ACCOUNT = 614000
    COSTCENTER = 1000
    CO_AREA = 1000
    In the POACCOUNTX table I filled the appropriate fields
    Please remind that the PO enters fine with ME21n.
    Any clues?
    Regards,
    Joã

    Hi,
    do you get the same error Ki265 also in the online transaction ME21N?
    Maybe you need to specify POACCOUNT-COSTCENTER with leading zeros; like
    "0000001000".
    Please check In your test data POHEADER-COMP_CODE and POHEADERX-COMP_CODE, these should be filled as well.
    If you still have a problem with the BAPI creation, please create a SAP ticket and use the notes 375886 and 539978
    to prive us with a test data to check in SE37.

  • Account assignment category Asset to Cost Center in po items

    Hey,
    We have a Question how to handle this Exception:
    We have purchase order items with the account assignment category "A - Asset" and we have created Asset master data. Later, this assignment category is changed to "K - Cost Center". But the Asset Master Data is still there.
    How to handle this in the future? Do we have to delete the purchase order items with the account assignment category "A - Asset" and have to create new items with assignment category "K - Cost Center"?
    Thanks!

    Hi
    Once you change the acct assnment category to K, then there is no need for asset master. You can take help of your FICO consultant for deleting the asset master. You changed acct assnment in PO?
    Thanks

  • Error while creating  a PO with Account assignment

    HI MM Gurus
    In our case, we need to create the STO for account assignment cat `Unknown`.
    In SPRO I maintained combination of account assign cat and item cat.
    Now, while creating  a PO with Account assign U we get Error message -  ME069 :Unknown account assignment not defined for use here.
    Please advise how to resolve this issue.

    Hi
    When you are posting actuals, you need to give true account assignment object. With U (unknown), system cannot identify which account to be posted. Change account assignment in PO to another.
    In standard SAP Unknown account assignment is not allowed in PO's. Only exception is Blanket PO.
    Unknown is allowed only in PR and Blanket PO.
    The reason is logically you are releasing the PO to the external vendor or Plant in this case you must know the account assignment.

  • Create Purchase Order - Account Assignment Category Q

    Hi experts,
    I'm trying to create a purchase order with account assignment category "Q" and the system show me the error message ME083 - Enter GR non-valuated.
    The material type is HIBE. The Quantity and value updating are flagged.
    Does anybody can help me?
    Thanks in advance.
    Osmar.

    Hi Jurgen,
    It was necessary change the settings below.
    SPRO -> IMG -> MM -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Define Screen
    Layout at Document Level
    FldSI = AKTV ( change )
    Field selection group = GR/IR control
    GR/IR indicator = required entry.
    Set the GR/IR indicator to "Opt. entry".
    With that, the issue message ME083 will not appear when the Flag "GR
    non-valuated" is unchecked.
    Thanks.

  • While Creating PO its saying account assignment mandatory for the material.

    Dear All
    I have created a material with Mechanical Engineering as Industry sector and ROH as Material Type.
    For this material i created PR and PO both the time it said account assignment is mandatory.
    Why this happens?
    I don't want to enter any account assignment category.
    Pls help.
    Regards
    Depin

    Hi,
    Normally purchasing ROH with PO needn't to assign the account assignment category, but if don't create accounting view for the ROH material or create the accounting view without valuation class assigned, system can't find the relevant stock account automatically, so will issue the message just like "Account assignment is mandatory".
    So you should check the material master data, if it's fine, then you will not see the message any more!
    Good luck

  • Customized Account Assignment Category In SRM 4.0

    Hi All,
    We are using SRM 4.0 & SAP R/3 4.6c in classic scenario. we need to map account assignment category (Balance Sheet) in SRM which is having fields Profit Center (mandatory), G/L account (optional) & partner (optional).
    I want map this account assignment category in SRM. Please tell me how to do this.
    Help me out in this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ajay Pakhale

    Hi,
    1. In customising (SPRO) in R/3 you need to create the corrpesponding account assignment category with the relevant fields specified.
    2. In customising (SPRO) in SRM you need to create the new account assignment category and specify it as active plus the backend system reference. You can then assign the cost assignment types that are applicable and those that are mandatory.
    I haven't got access to a system at the minute so can't give you the menu paths in customising but for R/3 it is under Materials Management > Purchasing and then look for Account Assignment. For SRM it is in Cross Application Components and then look for Account Assignment.

  • Account assignment category in production order

    Hi all,
    When I create a production order, the account assignment category coming is OIT - Order Item where as it should be MAT because in order type dependent parameters - distribution rule - Production Mat.Full settlement, is maintained.  Is there any setting missing from production side if any?
    Regards,
    Yogesh

    Hi,
    If you are using a nonvaluated sales order stock, you can only use full settlement for the manufacturing orders assigned to a sales order item. At the end of the period, the costs are settled from the manufacturing orders assigned to the sales document item.The inventory values are calculated on the sales document item when you perform results analysis. You then settle the inventory values calculated in results analysis to Financial Accounting and Profit Center Accounting.
    Please check strategy group of the material and settlement profile.

  • Purchase order and Account assignement category- Change

    hi.,
    We are trying to receive the Purchase order of High value components into INVENTORY.
    However, most of these Purchase Orders were created with account assignments.
    Because of that, if we receives these PO’s, they will be consumed against the object identified in the account assignment.
    Additionally, some of these have been invoiced already and would need to be backed out from the finance side.
    Question: How can we receive these STO Purchase orders and then make changes through Movement type ( or any other way ) so that the HIgh Value Components that are consumed against that AC assignment can be subsequently moved into Invenotory.
    Also, what are the other options ( FI will not open Previous period) so that the PO's which have been invoiced  can be reversed against that AC assignment.
    Thanks All

    hi Rajesh.,
    As mentioned earlier, these  Purchase orders are STO's which have been already created and we are waiting to do the GR for the same. Items in the STO PO are of  High value which we need to bring into  INVENTORY.
    But, because these STO PO's were created with account assignments, if we do GR now, they will be consumed against the object identified in the account assignment.
    Some of these STO PO's have been invoiced already and  FI has indicated that they could cancel the invoices for those STO PO's in previous posting period.
    Question again : How can we receive these STO Purchase orders and then make changes through Movement type ( or any other way ) so that the HIgh Value Components that are consumed against that AC assignment can be subsequently moved into Inventory and not to a cost Center (202)
    Step (1) Can we cancel the Invoiced items> reverse the GR for invoiced Items>reverse STO for PO ?
    Step (2) Can we reverse the STO for PO for which GR has not been done? then
    Step (3) Change the PO through ME22N, remove the Account assignment category?
    Or how do we correct this situation for
          (1) PO's already invoiced.
          (2) PO for which GR has not been made. How can we receive them into Stock and not Cost center.
    Anticipating a reply
    Thanks
    Sri

    when creating a new position in a purchase order with account assignment category K "Cost Center", the G/L Account No. is always filled with a default account.
    Where and how can I define, what account is used as default GL Account?
    The version is sap ecc 6.0.
    I will reward points all answer!!
    Thank you!

    Hi
    check the valaution class assigned to the material or the material group (if no material is being used)
    Now goto OBYC, Click on the transaction key GBB, for the account modifier VBR, & for the valuation clqass combination - check the G/L account.
    Based on this combination the G/L is determined auitomatically in the PO. if you chnage it here ... it will reflect in PO at the time of creation.

    Sorry for my earlier Post.....
    Actually for Consumable Material Quantity and Value Updations Should not be Active since they consume Once it is Goods Receipted.
    Regarding your Issue Purchase Order for Consumable Material will be always Created with an Account assignment Category Such as Cost center Etc.
    So Please go to OMS2 Trxn Code and Select your Consumable Material type and in Quantity / Value Update Field Put tick mark against In No Valuation areas and save.
    Now Create a Purchase Order in ME21N with Account assignment Category and Proceed.
