Program buttons with url

I'm new to flash 8. I got everything the way I need it except
I can't figure out how to program the bttons to open a website
after clicking on it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, JM

Since we use APEX 4 and another Theme - Button with URL - javascript fails

Hi,
we are currently updating an application in our APEX 4 environment which was developed in APEX 3.
On one page (popup) there is a button which is used to close the popup and another one to print the page. The buttons use the option "URL" and the url is "javascript:this.close();" / "javascript:this.print();". In APEX 3 everything worked fine, in APEX 4 / with the Theme Simple Red (i don't know what exactly the problem is) the buttons don't response. Simply nothing happens. When i try to forward to a page and not an url everything works but that's not what i want because i want to execute javascript!

Thank you for your quick response. I have to admit that I was too fast to ask question, and as soon as I did read your notes (1.) and (2.) I found out that for some reasons I did not consider manually editing pairs of Items/Values in the Optional URL Redirect. Simply I was fooled by clicking side Lamp icon and opening popup with ten possible pairs items/values that ten rows would be the limit of number of pairs to enter.
But you answered my question and thank you again.
As you made comment (3.) about number of item/value pairs and where they come form I would be interested to hear your thoughts and suggestion.
I need that many name/values since we were required to: if user is on Page 4, he clicks checkbox on this page, then set of values from Page 2 should fill items on current page (Page 4). The question: Is this the best way to transfer these values?
Interesting note: When user is on Page 2 (Form page) he cannot submit this page until he has all mandatory data. He might or not enter some mandatory data, but not all. (User has to go to Page 3 and then to Page 4 to generate needed data.) User, then can redirect with button to Page 3 (Tabular Report) and then to Page 4 (Form ) where by filling and submitting the page generates the mandatory data for Page 2, that are returned by Ajax when we return to Page 2.
If you have any ideas I would appreciate to hear them.

Help creating buttons with actions

I am looking for a way to program buttons with actions and conditional outputs. As an example: After populating a set number of cells, I would like to be able to program a button to copy the contents of those cellsto another set of cells. Also, a button programmed to clear the contents of the cellswould be nice.

Buttons are typically associated to macros (VBA or other). As Numbers 1.0 does not support any macros, I am afraid that you are out of look.
To copy values is very simple with formulas of course (=a1 and so on), but you probably know that, and need something more powerful.

Working with url redirects

I have a html region with the following code:

I have a button with a url redirect of:
javascript:popon('http://test/' + items());
When I click on the button, popup window opens with test url but bindtest1 variable is not appended. What am I missing?

for one to reference? I thought I used to see a Apex developer manual in previous releases and no longer see it with the recent releases. Please clue me in on what Oracle manual/documentation exists for such programming details.

ITunes installation error: does not have program associated with it for performing this action

Repeated tries to install iTunes continues to fail. Installing on Acer laptop using Windows 7.
Error: does not have program associated with it for performing this action
We have done the following: open Default programs, clicked associate a file type, clicked on change program button and selected a program to open with and clicked OK/enter.
The installation continues. we get to the finish window; click finish.
Next error: iTunes has been installed incorrectly.
So, what do we do to get iTunes working?

Powershell shortcut gives"this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action"

We have a server where powershell gives an error. The shortcut or the context menu for start button (replaced cmd in context menu) gives an error saying "this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action".
In some events, like going to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\System Tools\Windows PowerShell.lnk and opening it results in bupkus. Nothing happens.
Browsing to C:\Windows\system32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\ and running powershell.exe directly or opening cmd.exe and typing powershell <enter> runs powershell as it should.
What gives?

After creating an application for a WebDynpro project, when I execute the project (Deploy New Archive and Run) the application I am receiving then following error message.
"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in folder options in control panel."
Pls can anyone provide the solution.

Maybe the problem its on the Run part. It is supposed to open a navigator and go to the URL of the application you just deployed.
Try deploying on one step and then Running on other.
If it is the Run then open the navigator and test your App.

What is your question? You've described what the program is supposed to do, but it's not clear what you're asking about. Do you need help getting started? If so, have you gone through the LabVIEW tutorials? You and look over the material in the NI Developer Zone's Learning Center which provides links to other materials and other tutorials. You can also take the online courses for free. Have you looked through the many examples that ship with LabVIEW for data acquisition?

Go to the LSMW you have choosen and if it is Recording Method you are getting this error.
Select Goto-->Recordings.
Select the Recording you have choosen in the Edit Mode.
Click on the Defaults All Button and save the recording.
Now go to the option Convert Data and check .
You will receive a message ..Conversion program successfully generated.

My Registry.dat contains this:
default.icons.iconpath=/nis-img/
default.icons.iconextension=gif
The url /nis-img/ is defined in httpd.conf (I use Apache).

Animating a button with actionScript

I'm fairly stumped on this one - but probably quite simple to fix.
I need to animate the scale of a button with actionScript 2.0. I've inherited a project that was done with actionScript 2.0 and have decided to stay with this generation rather than rewrite the whole project. Anyway - I've created a sound object, it plays audio from the library and 3 seconds after it starts playing, I want to animate the "next" button and make it pulse to attract the users attention.
Doing this by putting the button in a movie clip is not working as I am losing it's button states and besides it's probably far more tighter to program it.
When the user rolls over the button it stops pulsing but still retains it's up, over and down states.
Any easy answer?

I ended up making an advanced button with movie clips and using programming for all the states.
Movies are so much easier to control than buttons.
But you have raised something I had overlooked...setTimeout( )
I was using setInterval( ) and then doing clearInterval( ) within the function so it would only loop once, which of course was problematic if the user beat the 'clearInterval' code by clicking on the button too early.
Actually used setInterval( ) to delay all sound on the project - now going to re-program all that.

FF5 error parsing CSS font-face with url inline base64 data

Firefox 5 refuses to parse CSS @font-face with url inline base64 data.
I use the declaration:

Tried with different mime types (font/ttf,font/otf,font/opentype,application/x-font-ttf etc.), with or without charset specification, with or without quoting the font family name, with different specifications:

There was problem with the encoding too (there was part of the font missing at the end, because of the bug in the program - I forgot to flush the buffered output stream), after then I was able to download the same copy of the TTF. - I didn't know about the possibility to put the entire url data to the location bar and try to download it, thanks cor-el.
But it still didn't solve the problem ... the problem was, that the base64 stream was divided to multiple lines, like

Strange that I do the same for images (jpeg, png) and there is no problem with base64 string divided to multiple lines.
But anyway, I'm fine with that.

Replace Buttons with Images.

there are several methods to set the icon for the button like setIcon and setRolloverIcon etc. You better setContentAreaFilled(false) if you want an icon-only button. Have a look at [url http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/javax/swing/AbstractButton.html]AbstractButton for further information.
