Program to Transmit multiple messages over J1939

Hello Every one,
Can any one please post the program to transmit multiple messages over J1939 using USB 8473 device. I was looking under Ni examples but it is showing only to send the frame data but not the scaled data,I want to trasmit the Scaled data information and Iam also using Extended arbitration Id's in my *.dbc file.

Aside from the issues with the USB device and use of the Channel API, as far as I know, the only examples provided for J1939 here are based on the frame API, which precludes you from using the channel API with a CAN database on the same port. If you migrate to non-USB based CAN hardware (which I would recommend if within your budget), DMC developed a set of J1939 protocol CAN drivers for LabVIEW which are based on the NI-CAN channel API provided by National Instruments (NI). The drivers provide functions at a layer above the base CAN channel API layer, allowing the simultaneous capture of data from both transactional J1939 packets, and broadcast CAN frames using the ease of the Channel API.

The NI-CAN driver brings examples for nearly every use case. Driver version 2.4 or later has the Write multiple function to write multiple frames at ones.
There is an example available for LabVIEW, CVI and VC/VBasic called CAN Transmit multiple.

What do you mean by converting Timestamp to DBL? Timestamp contains all date and time information. You can convert it into string format as shown below and then use the relevant data from it by string operations.

Ouch!! Mail program re-downloading all messages stored on server

A couple of days ago, while going through the regular routine of checking email, my Mail program went into a wild beach ball spin and re-downloaded every single email message that was stored on the remote server again into my inbox. I use Mail to bring in messages from a few different accounts. The re-downloading of the messages occurred with sbc account email. Other accounts work as usual and did not behave this way.
Checked the settings on the sbc account both within the Mail app and at sbc and nothing indicated to make a choice to re-download messages from server when checking for mail. So, thinking this was just a fluke, and nothing to be overly concerned about, I just deleted the multiple messages out of the Mail app and went about business as usual. Yeh, you guessed it, only to find that the next time Mail went to retrieve from the sbc account the same thing happened all over again! YIKES!! (not fun deleting a couple thousand emails from your inbox) :s
Has anyone run into this happening with their Mail? Is it even possible *gasp* that I have actually encountered some type of spam virus??? I'm sorry I have to stop using Mail for the time being to retrieve and organize my email. Hope someone has some input that can help because using webmail, although it's safe, can be a real drag. BTW -- there has not been unusual activity in the webmail. No multiple messages. This is only happening when I'm retrieving mail using the Mail app locally.
Is it simply a matter of it being time to archive/delete... or anyone have similar circumstances that they can help shed some light here? Appreciate it y'all!! : )

I used to find this happening with older version of OSX after I did my usual 6 month clean, wipe, re-install and resume.
It's possible that the file which keeps a track of message downloaded from the server is corrupt. Goto ~/Library/Mail where "~" is your home folder and then delete these files

This is in ~/Library/Mail then a folder which contains your email address example "Mac-steve.jobs"
inside there should be a folder list something similar to this:
Junk.imapmbox
Sent Messages.imapmbox

Deleted Messages.imapmbox
Inside each of them is a folder, called "Messages" and also some files, delete the files but not the "Messages" folder.
When you reopen Mail it will be as if you opened it for the first time. See if the emails come in, if they do then it's more likely to be a setting in Mail or even possibly something that's happening at the remote email server.
In Mail Right or Control Click in the left hand panel and select "Get Info" a box will come up with a drop down selection at the top showing active email accounts, select the one you are having problems with, either a list of folders will come up or a big long list of email messages, depending on how many you have will depend on how long it takes for the list to update. Once it has, select all the emails and Select "Remove From Server" this will delete them all from the server so at least when you re-open Mail they don't all come in again.

How can i prevent mail from downloading the same messages over and over again?

is there any way to prevent Mail from downloading the same messages over and over again? Mail has a minimum of "50 recent messages" to download, but i hate having to delete them every time i check for new mail! why doesn't the program remember if you have already downloaded a message, and suppress any subsequent downloads???

Try a restart.
If that doesn't fix the problem, shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application unistaller. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

Error SocketChannel receive multiple messages at once?

Hello,
I use Java NIO, non blocking for my client-server program.
Everything works ok, until there are many clients that sending messages at the same time to the server.
The server can identify all the clients, and begin reading, but the reading of those multiple clients are always the same message.
For example, client A send "Message A", client B send "Missing Message", client C send "Another Missing Message" at the same time to the server, the server read client A send "Message A", client B send "Message A", client C send "Message A", only happen if the server trying to read all those messages at once, if the server read one by one, it's working perfectly.
What's wrong with my code?
This is on the server, reading the message:

(1) You can't assume that each read delivers an entire message.Yep I know about this, like I'm saying everything is okay when all the clients send the message not in the same time, but when the server tries to read client message at the same time, for example there are 3 clients message arrive at the same time and the server tries to read it, the server construct all the message exactly like the first message arrived.
This is the actual construction of the message, read the length of the packet first, then construct the message into DataInputStream, and read the message from it:

So you're probably getting the data all mixed up - you'll probalby be seeing a new client message followed by whatever was there from the last time, or the time before.If the server not trying to read all the messages at the same time, it works fine, I think that if the client SocketChannel filled up with multiple client messages, the SocketChannel.read(...) only read the first client message.
Or am I doing something wrong, I could fasten the server read by removing the Thread.sleep(100); but I think that's not the good solution, since in NIO there should be time where the server need to read client multiple messages at once.
Any other thoughts?

Is there some information (article/s) I can research about using MS Project Management 2010 for managing multiple projects over a given time period? I'm being asked by a potential client to take a job as a Program Manager to manage five projects all
at once. Each of the projects has it's own MS Project Management software, project leader, and project team. An overall project plan has to be put together to manage this large project. There are some dependencies with these projects inorder to complete
on a specific date.

In order to manage this program of five projects using Microsoft Project 2010, I would recommend you do the following:
Create a shared resource pool file containing the resources in all five projects.
Connect each of the five projects as sharing files with the shared resource pool file to share the resources.
Create a master project for the program containing each of the five projects as subprojects.
In the master project, set cross-project links as needed to show dependencies between projects.

I created one custom idoc type with six segments. I heard that one idoc type can have any number of message types
if it is so pls tell me how to assign these two message types for my idoc .
i want to create multiple message types because i want to send same idoc type to diff legacy systems.
My requirement is message type one is only for first three segments and message type two is for another three segments .
The outbound program 1 for mess type 1 should fill fill the data for only first three segments and second outbound program corresponding to mess type 2 should fill the data for last three segments
how should i design for my requirement. suppose if the idoc has two message types then it has two outbound programs?

Below are my thoughts from a design perspective,

Before you look upon the no. of message types you need, i guess you need to look at the business requirement. Per your requirement you want to send send two sub sets of data. The first subset in the first 3 segments and other three segments for the second subset of data.
Is the structure of the first subset of data similar to the second subset If not, better to create two IDOC Types. If they are similar, then create one IDOC Type with three segments and have two message types for each subset of data.
For Ex: ORDERS05 is the IDOC type for Orders, this IDOC type provides capability to carry data related to any type of orders
but the action on the data is facilitated by the message type like ORDERS for create, ORDCHG for change, ORDRSP for Order response etc.
OR
Are these two subsets of data related to each other, if yes understand the relation? If not related at all then you might be better of creating two separate IDOC Types.
Like in the above example A purchase order is related to a sales order so you can use the same IDOC type, but in case of a order response and ASN that data sent is different and hence you will need different IDOC types (even though a SO is related to a DN).

The above again depends on the how tightly/loosely coupled are the data sets, you can have just one program and have a simple case statement on the message types or have two different programs.
You will also have to consider points like, if any of the subsets is more prone to more change in terms of the structure and associated business logic. If yes, then you might want to keep the programs separate to reduce work on regression testing etc.
I am sure you will receive more inputs from the experts on the forum and the list of points to look for will get longer , so understand the requirement, dependencies and if you have any specific questions you could post it on the forum.

COND_A01 is the IDoc to distribute the condition master data. Sales order (ORDERS05) is transactional data. It is not feasible to generate a master data IDoc from a sales document. Even if it was feasible, what would be the purpose? The master data hasn't changed, why would anyone want to send it again with every order?

I am new to j2me. I am trying to write a simple program for instant messaging. I want to write a program that to handle incoming messages. Now I am able to display one message at a time but I dont know how to handle multiple messages. Do anyone can give an example?

Programs open up scattered all over the screen...can this be changed?

I am new to a MAC as I recently go a 27" iMac. I am loving it, but finding some of the functions sort of odd. I have searched and searched for an answer, but have gotten noplace. I thought I would sign up here it looks like a great resource. I was also hoping someone could answer this for me:
Do all mac programs open up scattered all over the screen? I was always used to a program opening and it was clear where the entire window was. On my mac, if I open, say Photoshop, the tools panel is along one side, then there is no canvas, but the layers panel, or others I have open will be somewhere on the right side. When multiple programs are open, it is really hard to tell which program I am currently in as it seems so messy. All the programs seem to open this way. Is this a feature that can be turned off, or is this simply the way it is?
I am not sure if I explained this very well, but somehow I would like to be able to clearly see which program I am in, rather than have bits and pieces of the program randomly placed on the screen with no definite boundaries to tell me where the program ends. Maybe it has something to do with having such a large screen?

Why should I use Publish instead of Routing for SOAP messages over JMS?

I currently read the book "The Definitive Guide to SOA - Oracle Service Bus" and found the following sentence in the chapter "Wrapping an Asynchronous Web Service with a Proxy Service" on page 131, which confuses me:
When you send a SOAP message over a JMS queue, you need to use the Publish action, not the Routing action. <<Are there general restrictions, when to use Publish and when to use the Routing action in asynchronous communication? Is this special for SOAP messages over JMS?
