Programmatically lock the IP phone

Through Google I have searched that some SI companies can develop an application to lock the IP phone. The user needs to type the correct PIN before he/she can dial the number. Is there any API in JTAPI to do so? Or any API in AXL/SOAP?
Thanks
Tony

Hmm.. the way you describe it, you're looking for business account codes rather than a locking mechanism.
Locking entails that the device must be unlocked before calls can be made... business account codes leave the device accessible for anyone.
So if you really are looking for device locking, you can build it with AXL.. you need a service to lock / unlock which queries the user's pin (there's an authenticate function in axl to check the pin.. you need CCM5 or higher though), then you'd change the css of the device (e.g. to a css that only allows for internal calls upon locking, and back to the normal css upon unlocking).
As for account codes.. I think that's in CCM but I'd check the admin guide or the feature and service guide as I've never had the need to use something like that. If it's not there, it certainly can be built as well but it would be cumbersome as you'd either need some kind of IVR along with CTI functionality, or you take away people's ability to dial directly and have them dial from a service.

At the moment my N97 telephone gets locked after a specific amount of time. Then I press the unlock code and it works.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Hi, simply slide the lock/unlock slider on the right hand side. Also you can go into Menu(silver button)/settings/phone/phone management/slide settings and  turn auto lock on or off !
    Good Luck

  • HT4993 I cant believe that in the app store they dont have an app that locks messages and other apps without locking the whole phone wish they had like android has :(

Its really sad I love my iphone 5 a lot. Used to be an android user but wanted an iphone im happy but I just cant believe that it does not keep my messages private without locking my whole phone that really ***** big turn off!

If the app is no longer in the store then you won't be able to redownload it, and if you haven't got a copy of it anywhere (you don't have another iOS device which has it on ?), and if you haven't got a backup of the iPad on your computer's iTunes (if you haven't got a backup then you won't have the app's content), then you won't be able to get it and your passwords back.

MY new brand nonia N70 has been stolen. I have serial no with me. thereis any way to lock it

Not lock to prevent access, but if you call your provider, they can block it so it can't be used again... on any UK network anyway (assuming you're in the UK?)

  • Can I password protect my mail, SMS, and phone mess. without locking the whole iphone?

Hi - I am trying to figure out if there is a way to keep my email, MSM's and phone messages protected without locking the entire phone.  My son likes to play with the apps and others may pick it up to surf the net, which I don't mind, I just don't want them to be able to look at all of my stuff.  Thx

No, it's all or nothing. Sorry.

  • Why lock the iPhone Screen programmatically in iOS 7 ?

why lock the iPhone Screen programmatically in iOS 7 ?

I have the exact same problem. Thought I was losing my mind! This problem has existed since 7.1b1. Oddly enough, my cousin has the exact same phone and his vibrates as normal while the dialogue box is open, Mine is so faint I barely notice it. It used to be "buzz! buzz!", now it's more like "buh"

  • Is there a way to lock the phone's touch screen during a phone call?

I just purhased my iPhone and I noticed that during a phone call I may accidentally tap Mute or Speakerphone with my cheak, depending on which hand I hold the phone in. Also when I hand the phone over to someone they may accidentally tap a button, and in the worst scenerios they will accidentally end the call.
Is there a way to lock the screen or something to prevent any of the above from occuring?

Their currently isent a way to disable the buttons but what you can do is click the home button during a call after pressing loud speaker and that will separate you from the call options and take you to the home screen and on the top it will have say call active and you can click that to renter the call note the call will still be active but when you hold it next to your face the screen should temporally go dark. Steve jobs was the one who came up with when the top sensor is active the screen will go dark and disable on screen button pressing when it is press against your face

  • When my iPhone 4S (with ios7) experiences a failed call while connected to my Bluetooth hands free in my car(screen locked) the failed call appears on the locked screen, as it should, then when I unlock the phone it automatically redials the failed call,

When my iPhone 4S (with ios7) experiences a failed call while connected to my Bluetooth hands free in my car(screen locked) the failed call appears on the locked screen, as it should, the problem arises whenever I unlock the phone, it automatically redials the last failed call, it doesn't do this with missed calls that are on the locked screen, if any. It is really annoying as sometimes the phone doesn't respond to attempts to end the call before it connects to the number. I then have to explain that it was my phone and not me, I look like an idiot, which I don't really need any extra help with!! Does anyone have any ideas? I don't want to stop missed call from showing in the locked screen but it might be associated with the failed calls and therefore be the only resolution

I have had the same issue which was driving me mad but think I have just found a way around it. In iOS 7 if you swipe up on the lock screen to access quick settings and go into timer then click the home button you get into the phone without calling the person back. Not a great 'fix' but hope it works for you. Come on Apple this isn't good enough, fix this bug otherwise you will lose your customers.

  • How can you lock the screen on iPhone in iOS 7 while talking on the phone?

I am struggling to figure out how to lock the screen of my iPhone 5 during a phone call. In iOS 6, I was able to push the top "on/off" button to lock the screen. In iOS 7, I am able to do this ONLY while using the speakerphone. If I push this button while talking on the phone regularly or using a headphone, it ends the call rather than locking the screen.
I have found that I am muting calls and disconnecting calls accidentially with my "face" while holding the phone b/c the screen is so sensitive. Does anyone know a way around this?

I dont know of a way round this, but im having the same issue of puttig people on hold when putting the phone up to my ear.
This was an issue with the iphone 4 years ago and apple had to do an update to cure it

    A. Only if the device is online.
    B. Only if you set up Find My Phone before the theft.
What To Do If Your iDevice Is Lost Or Stolen
If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only if Wi-Fi is enabled on the device. What you cannot do is track your device using a serial number or other identifying number. You cannot expect Apple or anyone else to find your device for you. You cannot recover your loss unless you insure your device for such loss. It is not covered by your warranty.
If your iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch, or iPad is lost or stolen what do you do? There are things you should have done in advance - before you lost it or it was stolen - and some things to do after the fact. Here are some suggestions:

My iPhone 5 keeps freezing when I connect to wifi, not just freeze the wifi, but freezes the whole phone and have to hold home and lock button. Locks up completely and instantly when I turn on wifi and connect. Solutions?

    1.  If you are really on iOS 7.1, you may wish to try upgrading to 8.1.2 which is the latest (basing this on your signature).
    2.  If updating the phone doesn't help, is this only when you connect to a specific wifi network?  Or all wifi networks (including public with no password)?  If it is ALL wifi networks, you may have a hardware problem.  Genius bar would be the next step.

  • I have had my old iPhone 4S unlocked by my provider. I have given the phone to my husband and we want to erase my data and get him an Apple ID so he can put his data on the iPhone  will this lock the phone?

I have had my iPhone 4S unlocked by my provider. I am successfully using a monthly plan and a new SIM card. I have given the iPhone to my husband. We would like to erase my data so my husband can add his and use the Cloud to back up his data. If we go through the erase process what is the safest way to do this so we don't re-lock the phone and disable the current SIM card?

    Hi
If it was unlocked legitimately it will never relock. As you said you have sent this to your carrier to unlock this will always be unlocked however many times you restore the phone.
    Hope this helps

  • Is it true that after updating to iOS7 I can no longer click the home button once from the home screen to lock the phone? I was in the habit of clicking the home button once to return to the home screen and then click it again to lock the phone.

This was a very convenient way of locking the phone to prevent inadvertantly opening an app or making a call when putting the phone in my pocket. Now it seems like I have to use my other hand to press the sleep/wake button on the top right.

No such function has ever existed.  Doing what you suggest used to take you to Spotlight search, which is not required now as that can be accessed on every home screen with a pull-down.

  • How to lock the phone without pressing power butto...

I am using Nokia Asha 500, Nokia Asha Software Platform 1.1.1.
My question is there any way to lock the without pressing power button.
This function can be added in the drop-down menu(The menu when we swipe down from the status bar).
Is it possible to send request to developers?

Yep and technically something like already exists: from Settings > Phone lock you can set the screen time-out period (down to 30 secs).

  • Has anyone else had the problem where Siri on iOS 6 locks the phone after sending a text using a Bluetooth headset.   I have the auto lock turned off but I have had it happen many times.

Siri is locking  my iPhone 5 running ios6 after sending a text message using my Jawbone icon HD Bluetooth earpiece.  Sometimes it will lock before the text is even sent. I have the auto lock turned off.

I have this problem too. Auto lock is off and Siri can be used from the lock screen but this defeats the purpose of hands free usage for example when you are on a bicycle and can't use the phone normally. After sending a message or a reply to one Siri locks the phone and you cannot hear new messages until you unlock the phone which can be potentially dangerous!
I'd love to see if there is a solution as I can't see any option in settings (either Siri settings or pass lock settings) to fix this.
