PROGRESS_SYSTEM_STATUS lookup - extending the seeded values

The PROGRESS_SYSTEM_STATUS lookup holds the three system status 'At risk', 'On Track' and 'InTrouble', which drive the RAG indicators for progress. This lookup is not extensible. Does anyone know if there is a way to customise the extension of the three RAG indicators, so you can have, for example, 5 indicators rarther than 3?

Hi
I don't think you can add to the number of seeded status codes.

  • How to extend the seeded controller?

    Our requirement is to insert warning messages in seeded HR Self Service transactions. On click of the next button, we need to evaluate conditions depending on the values filled in by user and throw warning dialog page with
    with ok button on it. When user clicks OK on the warning window, next page should be displayed.
    So the need is to insert warning dialog page between navigation of 2 pages.
    Is this possible to do in a Oracle seeded transaction. I believe I would
    need to extend the controller of the page and insert my code in the controller.
    Has anyone dealt with such a scenario before , how do it achieve it and How a controller can be extended?
    Thanks,
    Tanveer

    This definitely is possible. You will have to extend the seeded controller and override the seeded behavior for this particular scenario. After your logic ends, call the seeded code which will handle the rest.
    For getting started, look at dev guide and other similar discussions.

  • New VO to substitute an existiting seeded VO wo extending the seeded VO

    Hello All,
    Is it possible to deploy a new VO by substituting the existing VO without extending the existing VO.
    ==========
    I mean,
    There is seeded VO pointing to couple of seeded EO's. Now I want to extend this VO but want to completely replace existing EOs with the custom EO's. But when I try to extend it , I am unable to get rid of the old EO's to replace it to the new ones! By extending, Jdeveloper allows me to add more EO's to the list but dosnt allow me to get rid of the existing EO's.
    I tried creating a brand new VO with the custom EO but this errors with "all variables not bound"! error.
    The seeded EO and the Custom EO will fetch the same result set but from different source (from custom EO).

    Having said this, Is it possible to deploy a new VO by substituting the existing VO without extending the existing VO.
    Thanks for all the help.

    Ramkumar,
    This is what I am trying to accomplish...
    ===============
    E.g., The seeded VO has the following SQL query ...
    select ppf.first_name, ppf.last_name, ppf.national_identifier
    from per_all_people_f ppf
    where ppf.person_id = :1
    and sysdate between ppf.effective_start_date and ppf.effective_end_date
    ==============
    And I need to change this query to ...
    select xmp.first_name, xmp.last_name, xmp.national_identifier
    from xxc_my_people_v xmp
    where xmp.person_id = :1
    and sysdate between xmp.effective_start_date and xmp.effective_end_date
    =============
    When I try to extend the seeded VO, I am only able to add more to the FROM clause in the form of EO's. (Only thw WHERE clause is editable)
    ====
    But when I create a new VO as you are suggesting, I get an error when using it after the deployment "Not all variables bound! ". There is only one bind reference in the original VO query and am using the same reference in the new expert mode VO that I created!
    =============
    Please let me know what I am missing.
    Thanks for your help!

  • Extending the Seeded View, Join query possible??

  • Trying to extend the PoRequisitionLinesVO so that I can add a SPEL personal

    Create a new OA project in JDeveloper.
    Copy from the file server all the files within the $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/icx/por/req/server into your MyProjects area.
    These are the steps I used to extend the seeded PoRequisitionLinesVO
    1) Create a new OA project
    2) Add the server.xml file from oracle.apps.icx.por.schema.server (for the EO)
    3) Add the server.xml file from oracle.apps.icx.por.req.server (for the VO)
    4) Create a new Business components package
    5) Create a new VO and select that it is extending the PoRequisitionLinesVO
    6) Select the new attribute button to add a new number type attribute and paste the formula into the expression box. Select that java row class should be created
    7) Edit the project to add the -Djbo and select the substitution
    8) Compile project and copy files onto unix server and load the .jpx file
    When I then try and access the shopping cart page (even before trying to add an item that uses the new attribute),
    I receive the following error shown below

  • Is there a way to seed the SaveAs value triggered by the digital signature

    Hello Everyone,
    I have a form going out to hundreds of people. When the form is completed, the last thing they do is digitally sign the form (which prompts them to save it), and then they click a submit button, which e-mails it to me.
    The issue I am having, is when the users are saving the form, they just click the Save button. This is saving the form with the original name. When we're moving the forms from our e-mail client to the server, we have to rename them all one by one, or we get the pop-up alert asking us if we want to overwrite the file which uses the same name.
    So my question is this: When someone digitally signs the PDF, bringing up the SaveAs dialogue box, is there any way to seed the default value of the filename? (For example, the form has a field "Name" where I capture their name. Can I populate the SaveAs value with what has been entered in the "Name" field?)
    I've done some research, and it does not seem like there is a way to seed that value. Instead, I'm currently running this script on the signature's MouseDown trigger:
    app.alert("Please add your name to the filename before signing");
    app.execMenuItem("SaveAs");
    If there is a better solution, please feel free to say.
    Thanks,
    Al

    The gateway offers the PASSTHROUGH package -described in the manual more detailed- which allows you to send anything to the foreign database without being touched by Oracle.
    Depending on your function you could use the DBMS_HS_PASSTHROUGH.EXECUTE_IMMEDIATE package and if you need to fetch something you could use:
    dbms_hs_passthrough.parse
    DBMS_Hs_Passthrough.fetch_row
    dbms_hs_passthrough.get_value

  • I am trying to pass the value of a field from the seeded page /oracle/apps/

    I am trying to pass the value of a field from the seeded page /oracle/apps/asn/opportunity/webui/OpptyDetPG. The value I want is in the VO oracle.apps.asn.opportunity.server.OpportunityDetailsVO and the field PartyName.
    I have created a button on the page whose destination URL is
    OA.jsp?OAFunc=XX_CS_SR_QUERY&CustName={#PartyName}
    It opens the correct page, but in the URL it shows this
    http://aa.com:8005/OA_HTML/OA.jsp?OAFunc=XX_CS_SR_QUERY&CustName=&_ti=1897289736&oapc=177&oas=x5E2TIfP1Y0FykBt1ek4ug..
    You can see that &CustName is not getting the proper value. Do I need to do something different?

    You cannot call the form with OA.jsp . This is applicable only for OAF based pages registered as a function.
    For calling a Form, use the below example:
    You have to change the application responsibility key and form function name .
    "form:PN:PN:STANDARD:XXPNTLEASE:QUERY_LEASE_ID={@QueryLeaseNumber}"

    Is it possible to apply conditional formatting to a cell (or range) based upon a LOOKUP query to cell values in another sheet.?
    I want to alter the formatting (i.e., text and/or cell background color), but not the content, of the target cell(s).

    Hi Tom,
    Your LOOKUP formula will return a value that it finds in the "other" table. That value can be used in conditional highlighting rules. (Numbers 3 calls it conditional highlighting, not conditional formatting. Just to keep us awake, I guess, but it works the same).
    Please explain what you are trying to do.

  • Extended Edit box loses the typed value when form is resized

    Extended Edit box loses the typed value when form is resized:
    Hi,
    I have added an extended edit box in a system form (SO form). When form is resized, I'm programmatically repositioning the edit box for proper alignment. When I do that, whatever has been typed in the edit box is lost (which is not yet saved).
    If I don't do repositioning of the edit box, then it is working fine - whatever the user typed remains there.
    Why is this happening, and how can I work-around this?
    Thanks for your help.

  • Using a lookup for mapping program to retrieve the specific value

    Hi All,
    I have a scenario like …I need to use a lookup for mapping program to retrieve the specific value based on the input parameters.
    Here I have got some rough idea like …
    1. Creation of java program to connect the DB table and access the values, Import this java program as archive into XI.
    2. Creation of user defined function to use the above java program
    3. Include the user defined function in the interface mapping.
    Here I feel it needs some more info to complete this scenario, so can anyone provide the step by step procedure for the above scenario.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How to extend the IDoc ORDERS05 and populate values?

    Hi,
    My requirement is to add few fields to the standard IDoc ORDERS05 and populate values to the newly added fields.
    Please let me know how to extend the standard IDoc ORDERS05.
    Regards,
    Balaji. R

    Hi balaji,
    you can try to google for SAP R/3 IDoc Cookbook for EDI and Interfaces by Axel Angeli et.al.
    Although Axel refers primarily to MATMAS Idoc the technique of extending IDOCs is explained very well.
    Also very good is the search function here on SCN, I just found
    [Some Experience on IDoc Enhancement|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs;jsessionid=%28J2EE3414900%29ID0711317150DB10743789739220747754End?blog=/pub/wlg/8285]
    Blogs and Wikis here are the best source for general questions like yours, usually of much more value than forum answers

  • How do I extend the functionality of the hp34420a driver so I can modify the NPLC (integration time) parameter to a value of 200??

    I am trying to configure this meter for DC volt mode and 7.5 digit and NPLC 200 settings with hp34420a 2.0 drivers in LabView 5.1. The drivers appear to limit the configuration to 6.5 digit and NPLC 10 (default) maximums.
    An attempt at modifying the strings in the HP34420A Config Measurement.vi with the string "ENS:VOLTC:NPLC 200" caused a timeout failure in the HP34420A Read Meas.vi, which was not recoverable by simply removing the offending sub-string in the first VI.
    This program is in the latter stages of development, so a method or technique that will allow the incorporation this configuration of the HP 3
    4420A, and that will extend the default timeouts in HP34420A Read Meas.vi so that readings can be obtained in the program under this configuration, is sorely needed.
    Thanks.

    Bill,
    We normally do not support modifications to our instrument drivers, but we can give suggestions. The driver that you describe in your question must be one of our Legacy drivers, and unfortunately we do not have those available any longer. I would recommend downloading the updated IVI driver for the HP34420A from our Developer Zone site at
    http://zone.ni.com/idnet97.nsf/browse/
    Just do a search for 34420A and you will bring up the link to the download. You will need our IVI Engine 1.5 and VISA 2.0.1, which you will find links to there as well. The IVI driver should allow you to make the adjustments to the NPLC and DC volt mode.
