Dear All,
we are working with SAP ecc 6.0 implementation project . We r having solution manager 4.0. Our development system is having clients 220 as golden client, 230 the development client and 200 client is used as sandbox. The development team is doing configuration using solution manager. now the logical system in our system landscape of solar_project_admin we have assigned sandbox as the evaluation system. no other client is assigned. now we are planning to do buisness blue print &confign in golden client.
Need to know for buisness blue print and configuration , what is the role we need to give for our golden master client . can we map the golden master client as development system or evaluation system. pls help.

Hi,
The scope of your question is too huge to be handled in a forum like this. still I would list out out a few issues we faced during customer projects implementation and support:
1. First and foremeost - Business called for delivery related billing. We have a huge limitation here in PS, as PS is primarily designed for milestone billing. So be clear about your billing methodologies.
2. Related to material planning - Planned Indepnendent Requirement generation from PS and subsequent consumption of it from dependent requirements emanating from PS is problematic, as there are issues of traceability. So be cautious, if you are attempting something in this line.
3. PS is quite complex, Hence expecting users to be enlightened users would be futile.
There are many more..... We can continue the discussion, if you find it interesting.

    Please go through OSS note 423857.
    Symptom
    When you call the transaction SPRO or SPRO_ADMIN a syntax error occurs in the program SAPLSPRO_STATUS. The error can also occur when calling the Testworkbench in the program SAPLSTATUS. The message is 'The addition 'FROM' is missing'.
    Cause and prerequisites
    The cause is changes with the change documents which only appear, however, when the change document object is transported or generated again.
    Solution
    Import the corresponding Basis support package
    Reward points if this is helpful.

  • Cannot map roles other than Project Administrator and SOA Designer

    I've installed PS4 HC FP Stage 3 on Windows, and I have seeded the demo community users. When I use Business Process Workspace to map roles to these users, the only roles available to me in the Select Role list are Project Administrator and SOA Designer. I was expecting to be able to map far more roles, thus:
    * mtwain needs the Project Creator, Designer, Deployer, Project Documentor, and SOA Designer roles.
    * jcooper needs the Designer role.
    Any idea what's wrong?

    I would like to know also. I have made many DVDs, but the number order does seem to be random. For presentation purposes I want to play a specific clip by hitting it's corresponding number on the DVD player remote when the DVD is at a complete stop (so if I put the movie clip in the 2 spot and hit the number 2 on the remote, then the 2 movie clip will play). I can get this to work from the menu by dropping them in iDVD in the order I want and waiting for each to encode before dropping the next, but at a complete stop I cannot ensure number 2 on the remote will play number 2 on the DVD. To me it looks like iDVD gives those numbers in the order in which the audio is encoded when burning, with the shorter clips first and longer ones last.
    Can anyone help me?

  • Requesting more than 10 system roles in SMSY for one landscape

    Hi everyone
    We are looking to have the possibility to create more than 10 customer defined system roles in SMSY for one landscape. The current limitation prevents us to fully take advantage of our multi-client landscape designed to accept a dev path and a data load path at the same time as a testing path. For one data load server, we might have up to 9 or 10 different clients being used. This permits us to manage several cycles of data loads at a single time.
    Has anyone else ever requested to have more than 10 customer defined system roles per landscape created?

  • "Add Site System Role" is greyed out in the SCCM console

    SCCM 2012 R2 CU3
    Single Primary Site
    Issue where “Add Site System Role” is greyed out in the SCCM console. We can install roles through PowerShell, however in the console we cannot add roles, remove roles, or change the properties of the site server.
    The account we are using is full administrator in SCCM. It was used to install sccm infrastructure.
    Any suggestions

  • System role change in Sol Man

    Dear friends,
      I am working with Solution Manger 4.0. In Solar01, in top menu option, under "Business Blueprint", we are having option to change the "System role".
    I wants to restrict this option based on the user ID. Because, now everybody logins to different systems (means DEV,QA,PRD) by changing the system role.

    Hello Sentil,
    The functionality you are looking for is not available.
    However, you may consider the following to achieve a similar result:
    In SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN of the respective project, tab <i>System Landscape</i>, sub tab <i>Systems</i> there is a button calls <i>System Landscape Assignment</i> via which you can project specifically hide certain system roles. So for instance if during business blueprinting you only need the evaluation and development systems, you can hide the system roles which are not required at that point of time, such as QA and PRD. The result: Project team members working on SOLAR01 and SOLAR02 for instance can only see the roles which have been defined in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN.
    At a later project stage you can then add QA and PRD if required simply by adding the respective system roles again. The information on system-clients assigned is simply retrieved from the system landscape maintenance (SMSY transaction), where this information still resides.
    So this might be an alternative to your suggestion (system roles based on user ID) because in this way you have control of offering system roles and, thus, the respective systems project-phase-dependently.

    Could someone help me understand the integration of Change Management and Project Administration within Solution Manager, pls? I would be very grateful for a sample process to demonstrate the complete workflow. Eg.
    1) Support Messages is created
    2) Change Request is created from Support Message
    3) A project is created for the Change Request
    4) ??? What about the blueprint, configuration, testing, learning features? How do they integrate with CHARM?
    x) at the end, how does the project created for the Change Request integrate with the project that documents the business process? I mean, if the actual processes of an R/3 system are documented in a SolMan project, and a Change Request is processed, how do I modify the general project with the change project?
    This is absolutely not clear either in the on-line help or in the book "SAP Solution Manager"

    I am not quite clear what exactly is your requirement here. Change Request Management and Project management are different in their ways. You can handle the documenation tasks through your project management and ChaRM is used for the changes.

  • CTS Project in System Landscape

    Hi,
    for chaRM,i want to clarrify about CTS project creation.
    1. Whether CTS & IMG Project Should Exist in all satellite system ?
    2. How to create a IMG & CTS Project.? In tx Solar_project_admin we can able to create the IMG project for all roles (DEV,QT,PRD)in  the Satellite system .
    or else should we create the IMG project in only developement and rest of the satellite system can be transport the request ???

    In Solar_Project_Admin you can create an IMG Project on the development system for the Maintenance Project.  You can assign an existing project, but the Create button under the IMG Projects tab will create on for you.
    I believe the CTS project will be automatically created when you activate the Maintenance Cycle for the Maintenance Project.
    You can use the /TMWFLOW/PROJ transaction under the Project Structure tab to see the IMG and CTS Projects for you Maintenance Project.

  • Additional system roles in SOLAR01/SOLAR02

    Hello,
    Is it possible by customizing or something else, to have more than the Dev/Qas/Prod system roles selectible in SOLAR01 and SOLAR02 ?
    I have logical components where there are other types of systems, and I would like to use them in my Blueprint/Configuration.

    Goto Project Landscape
    select your project
    now you see your logical components for your project, in here you can add via system role assigment other system roles like evaluations, demo, sap referecen etc... if you want more than available here, click on "Systm Roles" in the System Role Assigment and you can add your customer Roles
    once you did that, this will be visible in solar02 / system-role

  • SCCM R2 CAS Missing "Add Site Systems Role" menu

    Working with SCCM R2 in a lab environment and I'm Stumped.  I expanded my primary site into a hierarchy and on the new CAS I don't have the add site systems role menu when connected to the CAS.

    Logged on as the domain administrator account used to install both roles, full administrator on both sites.  I can't find any documentation that this is a designed change.
    Any Ideas?

    At this point that's not relevant, I'm not even getting the menu item to start the wizard.  I'm logged in with the account that did the installation yet it's almost like I have view-only permissions. I'm beginning to think there's a trust issue between
    my systems so I'm starting over (i.e. applying the snapshots before I installed) and resetting the trust for my CAS system.

  • Add Site System Roles (Management Point)

    To resolve an issue I was having with the management point role I have removed it.
    I left it for an hour and then restarted the server and the role had been removed. When I tried to re-add the role the option is greyed out. I believe this is due to the Server being the primary site but am finding it hard to get any definitive answer on
    how to re-add the role.
    Currently my site has no management point.
    My question is HOW DO I RE-ADD THE ROLE OF "MANAGEMENT POINT"?
    Will the configuration management setup wizard allow me to do this, whilst retaining the current roles and config?

    I thought it was a permissions issue at first to. Signed into the server with the service account used to install SCCM and also explicitly named my domain account as a local admin despite me being a domain admin. Furthermore, I have access to remove the
    roles from the server and permission to add and remove roles to all other servers.
    Adding role
    In management console Administration>Site Configuration>Servers and Site System Roles
    This bring up the list of servers and when left clicked their roles. I right click on the server in question and the option to "add site system roles" is greyed out as are the sub-options under start and the option to delete.

    After much ado, I   contacted Apple and they told me to perform the following steps to deal with the Rights and Pricing dilemma.  Choose just one country, then submit book.  After everything is accepted, sign in to iTunes Connect, Manage Your Books, choose your title with an incomplete rights/pricing list, then in the upper right hand corner of the page that appears, select the blue button, "Rights and Pricing".  There you can add the rest of the countries without a hitch!

In 11g I didn't find the Administrative Groups(Roles) tab or section to assign administarive group to the group(Role in 11g). Where we can find this tab, if tab is not avilable then how can we assign the same group(role)? when data will populate into gpp table in 11g? Please guide me on this.

    are you saying you want to add custom Roles to 11G?
    it's either on the Advanced page or the Administration where you can add new custom Roles.
    there is also the RoleManager Service (API) that can add them programatically.

    I'm not looking for a full blown project management system; more like an activity (to-do) list in a subject lookup hierarchy, possible with email reminders of what's coming due. (something like expand-collapse subject areas with text, date, name and status fields).  I've done something similar in Visual Basic wtih an Access DB holding the information.  It doesn't look so great but does the job.
