Change Management integration with Project Administration

Hi,
Could someone help me understand the integration of Change Management and Project Administration within Solution Manager, pls? I would be very grateful for a sample process to demonstrate the complete workflow. Eg.
1) Support Messages is created
2) Change Request is created from Support Message
3) A project is created for the Change Request
4) ??? What about the blueprint, configuration, testing, learning features? How do they integrate with CHARM?
x) at the end, how does the project created for the Change Request integrate with the project that documents the business process? I mean, if the actual processes of an R/3 system are documented in a SolMan project, and a Change Request is processed, how do I modify the general project with the change project?
This is absolutely not clear either in the on-line help or in the book "SAP Solution Manager"

I am not quite clear what exactly is your requirement here. Change Request Management and Project management are different in their ways. You can handle the documenation tasks through your project management and ChaRM is used for the changes.

Deactivating Integration With Personnel Administration

HI All,
I need to deactivate the Integration With Personnel Administration for some reason. But i am not sure whether current workflow which related to getting user companycode,getting user Position,
getting user Superior and org assignment are affected since most of the workflow require thease information.
My understanding of deactivation would be that the employess cannot change position are assign them to the new position but current mapping will remain same.
Also WS01000014 and WS01200136 are currently deactivated.
Can anyone please let know the impact on existing workflow if i deactivate the Integration With Personnel Administration.

Hi, 
You can do it but you need to check the WF logics if there is any customized logic written.
Deactivate the OM- PA Integration
Maintain IT1008 and position - holder relationships for all positions.
Maintain SAP user id data in OM (Read document in help.sap)
Run the RHINTE Reports at regular intervals (using jobs).
Let me know if I have missed any points and provide fdbk.

Solution Manager Integration with Maximo

Hi All,
I believe all you know what is Maximo. Those who do not know, I would like to take an opportunity to brief them about the same.
Maximo is a ticketing tool from IBM. This tool is basically used to record and keep track of all change requests taking place in SAP landscape.
Having explained in brief above about Maximo, may somebody please tell me if this can be integrated with Solution Manager?
Has anybody done it before? If so, may you please share your experience with me?

Maintenance projects
You want to make changes in systems as part of your planned maintenance period, and import all these changes simultaneously into production systems at the end of the maintenance period. For this purpose, you want to create a maintenance cycle, which is represented by a task list in the Schedule Manager.
A maintenance cycle is the period of time in which you:
Make changes in maintenance systems
Include these changes in new transport requests
Import these requests into follow-on systems for testing
At the end of a maintenance cycle, all transport requests are imported into the production system at the same time. Subsequently, the maintenance cycle can be closed manually and a new one can be created, if necessary (but only in compliance with the rules of the change requests that belong to the maintenance cycle).
Implementation, template, and upgrade projects
You want to make changes in systems as part of your project, and import all these changes simultaneously into production systems at the end of the project. For this purpose, you want to create a task list in the Schedule Manager.
With the help of this task list you:
Make changes in development systems
Include these changes in new transport requests
Import these requests into follow-on systems for testing
At the end of a project, all transport requests are imported into the production systems at the same time.
Task lists are generated automatically upon your request. If you use the Service Desk, the Service Desk transaction for managing cycle phases is also generated.

Please provide me information that is it possible to integrate the Bill of Materials with Projects. If yes then how the Integration of BOM happens with the Oracle Projects.

The situation is like once an order is received from the client by the company, a project is created. Before the activity starts on a Project the Project Manager wants to have a Bill of Material created for a project citing the item wise quantity of the material required on a project. No issuance is to be made on a project till the BOM is finalised after multiple approvals with the client.
The client is going to acquire the Project Manufacturing.

Here it is possible to charge an employeeu2019s cost center with the fee for attending a business event (e.g. training course, workshop). The business event organizeru2019s cost center will be credited and the attendeeu2019s cost center will be debited.
Crediting of the senderu2019s cost center  Debiting of the recipientu2019s cost center
The costs incurred from actually holding a business event can be transferred from the resources cost center to the business event organizeru2019s cost.
Crediting of the senderu2019s cost center  Debiting of the recipientu2019s cost center
In SAP Configuration:
Training and Event Management > Integration->Billing and activity Allocation-->Activity Allocation and cost transfer posting.
Please do above configuration and create business events with or without resourses, in that you can maintain cost centre to post the expenditures .

Engineering change management working with parameter effectivity

In Engineering change management
i have activated parameter effectivity &
defined parameter profile for DATE,SERNR,Kombi1-Customer(combination of Date & Customer name- Kunnr) in IMG settings
i am able to work with Date & SERNR But when i choose kombi1
i am getting the following error message
"No entries in database for object KUNDE_LO table AEEF"
i checked with table AEEF thier is no field KUNDE_LO
How to customize effectivity type Customer
is there any thing i have missed ....

KUNDE_LO is a data element , what ever kombi1 is defined i think that does not have any values maintained in the system.
or
Check whether any user exits or BAPI's used bringing the customer specifications.
You can also check the data element existence u might have done that .....

Can you please advise how actually the transfer of clock times from time recording terminals to SAP R/3 will work?
I read from help.sap.com that there is a SAP certified CC1 interface (BAPI based) which can be used for this purpose. However, in such a case, the time recording terminals should be SAP CC1 certified.
If the time recording terminals are not SAP CC1 certified, then what is the method to be used? Will we write a custom BDC program in this scenario and what all should be considered in functional specification of such a BDC program.

SAP Travel Management Integration with Time Management

Need some assistance with Travel integration with Time Management.
Scenario.
Punch in Punch out system at the client so when the employee is traveling or when he enters the Trip Request, after approval the attendance should be counted.
Is there a config step for the same or a BADI needs to be implemented in this scenario ?

A direct update of time infotypes is not possible. You can however switch on the integration in view V_T702N_A. With add. user parameter START_CATS = X you have the possibility to jump to CAT2 to record the time. For the update of the infotypes you have to follow the subsequent steps in time management.

Oracle Meter Data Management Integration with SAP ISU

Hello Everyone,
I am aware of the fact that Oracle has released a Media pack for the subject integration as discussed here and that media pack works only for SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 5 with ISU_AMI_2.
We have got OU MDM Release 2.1 Media Pack v4 and SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 4 with ISU_AMI_1 and hence Adapter in MDM won't help to achieve integration with SAP as our SAP EHP is lower than what is required for the MDM adapter. We have got SAP PI which would help the SAP End in the integration.
What are the possible work-around(s) to achieve the integration between Oracle MDM and SAP ISU without using the Media Pack/Adapter?
How does MDM exposes its services (inbound/outbound) to be consumed/triggered by External systems (i.e. SAP ISU)?
List of Services (inbound/outbound) exposed by Oracle MDM for integration?

What are the different important attributes as part of CS integration? I am new to CS module and it will be easy during field selection process.
- Sorry not familiar enough with CS, normally the CS consultant tells me which fields (Activity Type, Cost Centre, Order Number etc) to turn on for import.
In order to setup a different business process, you are recommending to create different attendance types for regular, overtime and shift differential. So that employee will enter the hrs against a particular order with the right attendance type. Later the timesheet can be posted to CS. Am I correct?
- Yes config different attendance types for regular, overtime and shift and have the employee enter the hours against the correct attendance. Or you could use 1 attendance type and then use different activity types which are linked to different rates in CS. Normally when integrating with CS I have someone familiar with that side of things.
We don't have any HCM in place right now. I am planning on setting up the mini master data for the required employees. Assuming that we do maintain HR time data (attendance/absence recording and time evaluation). How to post the time data to CS? If you are referring to posting time evaluation results, how to achieve this? This is just for my knowledge purposes.
- I only asked about HCM because you mentioned you wanted the system to determine regular, overtime automatically - but since you will only be using mini master to populate CATS forget I mentioned this path. For future reference though if you had full HCM (payroll) there are options in posting from HCM to CS rather than going from CATS.
