Promo Codes?

I want to offer my customers a promotional discount when they check out. I did do a search on this topic before posting and the most recent similiar question is 5 years old.   Has this issue been addressed? Can I offer a promo code when someone checks out of my website using PayPal?

I've been searching for an answer that doesn't require writing code also, as I use Aftcra currently and have no ability to add a discount code through them.  With Etsy I can, but I'd like the option to add codes for Aftcra

  • Not told of all charges, lack of Netflix promo code and major run around trying to sort it out...

    I recently signed up for Fios almost a month ago, installed myself and just received my first bill. My apartment's "rep" told me if I installed it myself I wouldn't be charged an install fee. He failed to tell me there was an activation fee of $69.99! Just saw that on my first bill. He did mention that for my tv box equipment there would be rental fees. He didn't tell me it was $19.99 a month for 2 tv boxes that don't even have DVR capabilities (that's another $12.99 for each box!).
    I was supposed to get free Netflix for a year. Was told I'd get a promo code in an email. It's been 20 days since I activated my service so I called Verizon to find out where my code is and to cancel my tv boxes (rediculous to pay $20 rental fee and they're not even capable of DVRing!). Customer service said I could return the boxes at a drop off location. Shipping them in was also an option and would be free.  Dropping them off would mean the rental fees would be taken off my bill immediately. Customer service rep said it looked like the promo code was mailed on Dec 11th so was going to ask the other dept that handles the netflix promo codes. Waited. Then was transferred to that dept. The new guy I was dealing with said it was mailed but to expect 6-8 weeks before receiving it. 6-8 weeks?! I was told it was in processing and couldn't be modified and whomever set up my account for the promo set up the code to be snail mailed. What?! I'm sorry, why is eveything else sent by email, including my confirmation for sign up, my bill notification, my tracking number for my shipped equipment, etc. But my promo code for free Netflix was snail mailed and would take 6-8 weeks?! Why?! No one could tell me. No one could adjust it so it could be emailed to me. He couldn't even give me a tracking number. So he sent me back to customer service dept. Then, of course it's the automated system at the beginning of the menu (not customer service). Had to go through the main menu again. Finally get to another customer service rep and tell him how frustrated I am that my apartment's verizon rep didn't tell me about the activation fee, didn't tell me my Netflix promo code would be snail mailed and would take 6-8 weeks, and that the previous guy I was just talking to couldn't do anything about getting the promo code by email or expediting it in any way. He apologizes and says he would talk to someone in that department and see if there was anything he could and at least get me a tracking number. I waited. He comes back and says I have to track the package on a separate website which is www.rewardshq.com (so not the standard UPS or anything even though I was told it was being sent UPS by Verizon rewards rep).
    Then I ask if I have to set up returning my tv boxes (because the first guy transferred me before that was concluded). Yes. He then tells me he'll send a shipping label and box. I told him I'd just drop it off. He informs me dropping it off incurs a $10 fee. Seriously?! First customer service rep never told me that (only that it would come off my bill immediately) so either way they get their money out of you for returning the equipment, whether you have to hang on to it for a couple days or you pay to drop it off. 
    He then says it shouldn't take 6-8 weeks for the Netflix promo code but that's what they have to tell someone. I say thank you and hang up. I then go to the website I was given to track this letter with the elusive netflix promo code. The website requires a log in and password. I was never told or received that! I got the "tracking" number but what good is it if I have to log into this weird site to track it. 
    So, in conclusion:
    RUNAROUND, RUNAROUND, RUNAROUND
    SHADY TACTICS by not giving full disclosure of all fees from the first rep who I contacted through my apt, then with first customer service rep, then the weird/rude promo reward verizon rep, then the final customer service rep who gave me a useless website since I can't log in. 
    I am not a happy camper. I will probably not use Verizon ever again after my contract due to this and I haven't even been a customer for a month.

    First, I'd like to address the issue with box return.  We will happily send you return boxes and labels that include free shipping at no cost but for future reference, and what doesn't appear to have been made clear,  you can drop equipment off at any UPS corporate facility and they will ship equipment back to us at no cost to you.  If, however, the equipment is taken to a Verizon store, that is where the restocking fee is assessed.  I apologize that this was not made clear during the calls in to our center.
    As for the issue with the Netflix promo code, those are typically sent after our worry free guarantee ends (14 days) to the email address we have on file for you.  In the event that you opted out of receiving emails or did not provide an address, we send it to your home address via snail mail within 30 days of FiOS installation.
    I am more than happy to look into this for you and find you a definitive answer as to when you should expect to receive your Netflix promo but in order to do so, I will need to access your account privately.  If you would like to go ahead with that, please check your private message box for a chat link to get started.

    It’s not a promo code.
    When you select to Gift this application, you purchase the app with your credit card and an email is then sent to whoever you choose and the app is then added to their iTunes account.

  • 3 Months Free Adobe Photoshop + Lightroom Promo Code Help

    I bought a SanDisk Ultra PLUS that came with 3 months free of Adobe Photoshop CC and Lightroom. However, when I went to open the packaging, the material with the promo code on it was stuck to the other side of the packaging and the lettering was ripped off. Now, I only have part of the promo code. Is there anything I can do about this?

    What country are you in?  If you bought the item with the understanding that the promo was part of the deal, then you have grounds to return it for a replacement.  Least ways you would where I live.

    i downloaded a couple of promo codes and got them in a TextEdit document - they were displayed in chinese characters - what's up with that? now what di i do with them??

    tried to open it with TextEdit UTF-8 to no avail - here's an image
    i sent the code to my PC and opened in Notepad with UTF-8 and here's what i got

    in the space between the L and j in the lower one there was a symbol - looked like an inverted "L"
    so do they look okay?  the top one has 12 letters  - the bottom one has 11 so i guess that symbol did not survive in the email that i sent back to my Mac
    so maybe i could use the top one without the "??"

    I currently don't have any credit or debit cards, but would really like to use some promo codes to test out one of the paid apps.
    The problem is it wont allow me to enter the code without first adding a credit card. Is there any way around this?

  • Promo code no longer works

    First post - be gentle..
    My Sister received a promo code throught the post for BT Broadband at 5.25 per month. I tried to order it for her but it was around the time of the BT Sport promo and was unable to complete the order due to the site timing out.
    I left it until the evening and now and ever since BT.COM reports the code as invalid. I tried the online help but that went around in circles and kept saying to contact them via the sales line. However they are unable to honour the Sainsburys 25 voucher unless the order is completed online.
    Does anyone know how I can get the code reset, the card through the post says valid until September, or get a new code so I can sort out her order,

    It is possible to have different business areas in a single project (but on different WBSE) based on the responsibility especially to handle the transfer price functionality. You can also use subproject functionality to control the budget for different budget areas.
    In ECC 6, Profit Centers are used where as earlier it was business area.

    The serial number was included in the box ARD came in; the Apple Store will not have a record of it. If you've lost the serial number, you'll need to purchase a new copy of ARD, probably a good idea anyway since 2.2 won't run on any version of Mac OS X since, if memory serves, 10.4. It's a lot cheaper through the Mac App Store than it was back when you first purchased.

  • Anyone else having problem getting promo code for $100 gift card??

    This is ridiculous.  I upgraded from an LG chocolate touch to the Thunderbolt and still have NOT gotten my promo code for $100 gift card.  Is this happening to anyone else?  I've called customer service to no avail.  I'm supposed to get a clal back this Sunday to see if the code came through yet.  This is the only reason I upgraded right now.  I am not a happy customer. 

    We upgraded my daughter's LG ENV3 to an Iphone on 08-18-11.  The salesman told us we'd be getting a promo code in 5 days by email or SMS.  Still hadn't seen it by the middle of September so we started calling customer service.  Over several hours, we spoke to five different people and received five different reasons why we either would get the code or wouldn't get the code, ranging from we didn't quality (false) to your email is rejecting the code that we've sent numerous times (also false). We were told that they could give us the code over the phone, but that particular person didn't know how and then we were told that the code could never be given over the phone.  I finally walked into the Verizon store where I bought the Iphone and got the manager on the case.  It took him 2 days talking to multiple people in Verizon, who I as a mere paying customer could not contact on my own, to finally get someone who was willing to send the code again (or was it being sent for the first time?).  That problem solver somewhere in the bowels of Verizon told me on Friday, Sept. 30th that I should be getting the email any minute and to keep checking and he would call me on Monday, Oct 3rd to make sure I received it (Big surprise he never called back on Monday).  On Saturday, Oct 1st I still hadn't received the email to either of the email addresses that he said he was sending it to so I started checking the boards here and realized that I was not alone in my misery. I took somebody's suggestion and sent a PM to on of the customer service people on this forum, explaining in detail my problem and still haven't received a response from her.  Needless to say, Daisy at Verizon won't be receiving any Kudos from me.  FInally, on Monday night I received an SMS with a working code  that was accepted by the trade-in website.  Hopefully, I get my $100 but I won't hold my breath.  I've been with Verizon for years and currently have five phone on my account.  I've had a variety of customer service experiences with them over the years, some very good and some not so good, but this $100 gift card has been a real eye opener in customer service ineptitude.

    I gave out a promo code for a book that I published. The iPhone in question ran out of memory whilst downloading. Having deleted a load of music, the user went back to get the ibook but the code comes up as used (fair enough) but theye have not got the book.
    How do they re try the download?
