Property Manager: PN_LEASE_MILESTONES_ALL (Check Event Alert)

Hi,. I tried to configure the Check Event Alert to Property Manager (PN_LEASE_MILESTONE_ALL), in the documentation , I read that I must configurate ORACLE ALERT, but  I don´t find some documentation about it.
I did an Event Alert, but i cant merge the Milestone Template with Alert, by that I mean when the table PN_LEASE_MILESTONE_ALL is updated or inserts rows, the notifications email is ok, but any information about the template uses:
Action Due Date
Lead Days.
Responsible User
Type
Frequency
Begin Date
So, Can you help me?

Can you find any details about the error from the "View Detail" button (the same window where you check the log and output files)?
I found the Workflow logs, I am not sure what I am looking for, but i am not seeing any errors reported.The event viewer is supposed to send an email, so do you see anything in the logs that could be related?
Thanks,
Hussein

  • Check Event Alert failed with error - No errors in the log file.

    Hi All,
    I am developing a simple event based alert on PO_HEADERS table. I want to send alerts when a PO is created.
    I did all the steps according to the metalink note How To Send An Email In A Simple Periodic Or Event Alert? [ID 1162153.1]
    When i create the PO, the alert is triggering, and Check Event Alert concurrent program is running. But the program completes with error.
    Checking the output file (empty) log file (no errors)
    What can i do here to find out what is the problem? There is nothing in the Alert Manager - History form also. I have kept 7 days as days to keep.
    Thanks!
    M

  • Check Event Alert ends in error, log file has no error message

    Hi,
    We are upgrading from 11.5.10 to 12.1.3. Check Event Alert ends in error, log file doesn't have any information. This alert is on oe_order_headers_all. Alert working fine in 11i.
    12.1.3
    10g database
    Appreciate any inputs.
    I noticed that Operating Unit parameter is passed as NULL, not sure if this is causing the issue.

    Here is the workflow logfile from today, check event was run multiple times today as part of testing and i believe this log could be for these requests. I am not too sure how to read this....had to remove some lines from the log as it is more than 30000 characters.

  • Error in Event Alert

    My requirement is to create an alert which will send a mail when any change is made in the employee information(PER_ALL_PEOPLE_F). I tried with my local instance it is working fine. But when i try to do the same in the client instance. The alert is not getting triggered. I checked the same in the Concurrent Request in the Alert Manager Responsibility and it has ended up in error. When i checked the error log there is no error message in it. What is the possible cause for this?

    What is your application release? Does it match the release your customer is running on?

  • Test an Oracle Event Alert in a Dev instance - email notification disabled

    Hi All,
    My client is on Oracle 11.5.10.2 and I have a requirement to develop an Event Alert. Problem is, in our development instance, client has disabled the email notification functionality, so I am really not able to check if the alert is sent/received and the format of the alert being sent. I checked the trigger on the table on which the event alert is created and confirmed that the trigger is created and also confirmed that on updating on the table from the form - a concurrent program '<table_name> (Check Event Alert)' is getting called by passing the table name and the ROWID of the row that got updated. Now, is there anyway I can check if the alert is working correctly?
    Please let me know.
    thanks.

    Vasu,
    The reason that the email notification is disabled is, the dev instance is a copy of prod and there are a bunch of notifications being sent to multilple people in PROD, so enabling email notification in DEV would create problems as it would sent notifications to people which is not intended.The work around would be little tricky but if you think you can give a try.
    Step 1. Disable all the workflow related email notifications
    [How to Disable all Workflow related Email Notifications Except for the Ones Sent from Oracle Alerts?|https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=463777.1]
    Step 2. Disable all the alerts
    Step 3. Test your Alert
    Thanks,
    Anchorage :)

  • "The 'charCode' property of a keyup event should not be used. The value is meaningless." Is this possibly caused by a virus?

    I don't know what's wrong with my Mac Mozilla Firefox, version 3.6.8, but today, it started alerting me about an error message on the "Error Console". In every website I visit, it tells me: "The 'charCode' property of a keyup event should not be used. The value is meaningless." Is this possibly caused by a virus?
    I saw a pop-up which did not allow me to click it when I scatter the windows on my Mac. I was using Private Browsing, with pop-ups disabled, but one pop-up managed to get passed my settings, and open in another window. It would not allow me to select it, so all I did was to close Firefox, and start a new session. So far, everything has been normal, I also deleted the cookies it installed.
    But, I still keep seeing that "Error Console" notice under my "Tools" on the Menu Bar, and when I clicked on it, it listed errors (such as what I listed above).
    Would someone explain this to me?
    Thanks for your help!

    The messages you see in the Error Console are mostly to assist the web site's author in resolving compatibility problems. Some of them can assist you in determining why a web site doesn't work as intended. The one you mentioned doesn't sound that suspicious, except that it occurs on many sites. Perhaps one of your add-ons is trying to monitor what you type?
    To diagnose whether this is caused by an add-on or one of your settings, you could try the following:
    First, make a backup of your computer for safekeeping. To back up Firefox, see [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information].
    Next, try starting Firefox in Firefox
    [http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode]. Be careful not to "reset" anything permanently if you didn't back up.
    Does that resolve the errors? If so, then an add-on usually is the culprit. If not, try creating a new (blank) profile: [http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles Managing profiles].
    If the new profile works correctly, you can choose between further research on your old profile or moving key settings like bookmarks from your old profile to the new one. [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Recovering+important+data+from+an+old+profile Recovering important data from an old profile].
    Hope this helps.

  • Event Alert in AP_INVOICES_INTERFACE

    Hi,
    I have created the event alert on table AP_INVOICES_INTERFACE.
    Its not firing when I am updating or inserting the invoice record in the AP_INVOICES_INTERFACE table through back end.
    Could please any body guide me regarding to the Event Alert process in Oracle Apps.
    I am using R12 environment .
    Thanks
    Nihar

    Hi Nihar
    Here is a checklist which might be useful to you. There are some extremely obvious items in the list and I apologize if some of these steps are too obvious.
    1) Is the alert enabled?
    2) Have you configured it as an "Event Alert"? i.e. are the 'after insert' and 'after update' check-boxes ticked?
    3) What is your "action type"? email?
    4) A common mistake (for me at least) is to configure an "Action Type" but not an "Action Set".
    5) Have you confirmed that the SQL in the 'select statement' window of the alert is correct? (by parsing it with the "Verify" button and running it in TOAD with sample parameters?)
    How do you know that your alert is not working? Because it is not sending emails? Are you able to send test emails from the "Workflow Notification Mailer"? Maybe your alert is fine but the notification mailer is down.
    When you create an alert, a trigger is created on the table. If you want to check the details of the trigger you can use this query (to confirm that a trigger has been created and that it is valid);
    SELECT owner, trigger_name, trigger_type, triggering_event, status
    FROM dba_triggers
    WHERE trigger_name like 'ALR_%_%AR'
    and table_name = 'AP_INVOICES_INTERFACE';
    Regards
    Frank

    Why we are not able to see any event on IPS. As MPF is configured on ASA and that ACL is gettin hit count?
    Regards,

    In the CLI enter the following command to see if any signatures are triggering, it could just be that you haven't had the right combination of signatures trigger to cause an actual event:
    show stat virtual-sensor | begin Per-Signature
    You could also enable Signature 2000 and that will usually generate events in a short time to ensure you have traffic configured correctly for inspection by the IDS.

    We have a client who has a SBS 2011 Std SP1 running MSExchange 2010.  Recently we moved their locally hosted email to Office 365 and shut off all off the MSExchange services as none of them are necessary for the client anymore.

    Can we get your event viewer logs?  Have you run a malwarebytes scan?  I cant find anything about that application other than on malware forums, what is it?
    Please provide us with your Event Viewer administrative logs by following these steps:
    Click Start Menu
    Type eventvwr into Search programs and files (do not hit enter)
    Right click eventvwr.exe and click Run as administrator
    Expand Custom Views
    Click Administrative Events
    Right click Administrative Events
    Save all Events in Custom View As...
    Save them in a folder where you will remember which folder and save as Errors.evtx
    Go to where you saved Errors.evtx
    Right click Errors.evtx -> send to -> compressed (zipped) folder
    Upload the .zip file to Onedrive or a file sharing service and put a link to it in your next post
    If you have updated to win 8.1 and you get the error message "the system cannot find the file specified" it is a known problem.  The
    work around is to edit the registry.  If you are not comfortable doing this DONT.  If you are, backup the key before you do
    Press Win+"R" and input regedit
    Navigate to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WINEVT\Channels. Delete "Microsoft-Windows-DxpTaskRingtone/Analytic"

  • Security Exception while using Custom Entity Property Manager

    Hi,
    I am using Portal 7.0 UUP example (specified in dev2dev.com site) to implement
    custom entity property manager.
    It all works fine using Portal 7.0 admin tool.
    Now I am proving the same concept by writing java code to insert record in UUP_Example
    table.
    This is the code I am writing in my class
    UserManager userManager = getUserManager(); (calling method to get Remote Interface
    of UserManager).
    ProfileWrapper pw = userManager.createUser(identifier,password,"User");
    MyEntityPropertyManager myEntityPropertyManager=getMyEntityPropertyManager();(calling
    method to get remote interface of MyEntityPropertyManager)
    long num=myEntityPropertyManager.createUniqueId(null,identifier);
    pw.setProperty("UUPExample","word1","mike_headen");
    Code gets compiled successfully but when I execute these statements, following
    run time exception occurs:
    EJB Exception: ; nested exception is: java.lang.SecurityException: Users can only
    be modified by themselves, or by a member of the role DelegatedAdminRole||SystemAdminRole.
    This problem comes while executing last statement i.e
    pw.setProperty("UUPExample","word1","ajay_dogra");
    I know I am missing something here. Any guidance will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Mike

    Mike,
    You approach is wrong and you have to code your program in a different way to
    get rid of this problem.
    Here, you are trying to update User property using pw.setProperty() even before
    authenticating and logging in the user.
    Why you are getting this error becuase user is not logged in and u are trying
    to update the user property.
    These are the steps you need to perform to update/insert user properties at the
    time of login.
    1. createUser(using usermanager.createUser).
    2. Authenticate user(Authentication.login(identifier, password, req);
    3. Initialse the profile in session
    ProfileWrapper profile =
    ProfileFactory.getProfile(identifier, null);
    4. Fire UserRegistrationEvent and Session Login event.
    5. Update user property using profilewrapper.setProperty.
    Hope this helps,
    You can either perform these steps in java or can use the usemanager custom tag
    in ur JSP.
    Thanks
    Sanjay
    Thanks

  • Packet capture via 'show events alert' on 4.1(4)

    Grettings all. I have an IDSM2 running 4.1(4g). When looking at events via 'show events alert' I notice that some signatures have packet capture info, other do not. Trying to figure out what determines this??
    Example, Long SMTP Command(sigID 3109, subsigID 1) 'show events alert' has packet capture info. Looked at the following
    1.
    (config-vsc-virtualSensor)# SERVICE.SMTP
    (config-vsc-virtualSensor-SER)# show settings
    CapturePacket: False <defaulted>
    2.
    config-vsc-virtualSensor)# SERVICE.SMTP
    config-vsc-virtualSensor-SER)# signatures siGID 3109
    (config-vsc-virtualSensor-SER-sig)# show settings
    CapturePacket: False <defaulted>
    3.
    config-vsc-virtualSensor-SER)# signatures siGID 3109 subSig 1
    config-vsc-virtualSensor-SER-sig)# show settings
    CapturePacket: False <defaulted>
    =========
    Again...trying to determine where/how the option to get packet capture for this sigID is set. Thanks for any help.

    It looks like you are in the right place and checking the correct setting.
    Were the alerts you are looking at generated during a period of time that CapturePacket had been set to True? Changing this setting will only affect new alerts being generated, and not old alerts previously stored on the sensor.
    A few other things to check:
    Try executing "show conf" and look for any tunings on Sig 3109.
    There is a very small possibility of the config being out of sync. Doing a show conf should show you the config currently being used by the sensor.
    Execute "show events" and verify that the SigID is 3109 and the SubSig is 1 or 0. If it is another subsig like 2, then you will need to separately edit the settings for that subsig.
