Proxy in BPM

Hi,
I am doing a BPM which has proxies. In SAPR3 side, I have defined inbound interface for proxy generation in a namespace. But in XI interface mapping, I am using target message to R3 as Abstract interface which has message type defined in different namespace. When generation of proxy, how can I link message type in XI to message type in R3.
There is an xml namespace in message type. There I have given sap message type namespace for XI message type. And the message type names in XI and SAP are same.Is this the right way to link?
Thanks,
Deno

Hi,
I have similar situation where BPM is calling proxy in R/3. It was working fine but we had change in servers and all the settings were restored but now the BPM is not working properly. The contents in BPM messages are blank. The BPM process is working fine but it is not passing data into R/3 (target) system. I already tried SWWL, SXMB_MONI_BPE, SPROXY. Checked the queues, checked the connections, settings. Don't know what else could be wrong. Any suggestions on debugging BPM?

  • ABAP Proxy and BPM with message maping

    Hi all,
    I have a scenario like :
ABAP Client Proxy ( synch )
->    BPM  ( to retriggr SOAP call and raise alerts with error and reponse back to Abap client )
    -> message mapping
    -> SOAP ( synch )
    1. What can be the issues with this scenario ?
    2. How can I return response and excetion back to ABAP client from BPM ?

    >
    > As per design guidelines for consistent processes -
    > we need to do all the error handling and alerts in
    > BPM.
You mean you are planning to use a BPM for all Interfaces just because someone told so? Why use a BPM when there is no need for it. If you have a Business Process that demands a BPm then yes use it, but for this sceanrio, you can use Fault messages to propaggate the error back to the R3 system, and use the Xi alerts ( without BPM ) if a runtime error occurs etc.
Is there some Business Process Involved here? What is the exact requirement?

  • ** Is it possible to call a Proxy from BPM ?

    Hi friends,
Our requirment is to take the thru JDBC (data required to create Sales Order) and call the Standarad BAPI 'BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2'. Since BAPI is not able to handle multiple sales order, we want to use this BAPI in inbound proxy and want to call from BPM.
Since we want to call continuous BAPIs one by one, (Sales Order, Delivery, Invoice) we want to design this scenario using BPM.
I understand that we are not able to create proxy for Abstract Interfaces. BPM only understands abstract interface. In this case, how do we call proxy from BPM? Is there any other possibility?
    Kindly reply friends.
    Kind Regards,

  • Build delay in messages to abap proxy without BPM / mapping

    Hi everyone,
The abap proxy is receiving messages from PI, is having errors when receiving big loads of messages via PI.
The proxy lock's a table causing the next message to run in error.
The interface is not using BPM or a mapping.
    My question is:
What are the possibilities to configure a delay in PI ? (not using a mapping or BPM process)
The abap proxy need some time to process a message before it receives the next one.
    Br,
    Roy

    Hi,
    >>>The proxy lock's a table causing the next message to run in error.
if you use async messages with fault messages correcty you can
restart those abap proxies just like IDOCs - and you can schedulerestarting that too
so this is nothing bad - just schedule the restarting and they will get processed

  • How to call a webservice proxy from BPM application?

    Hi All,
Consider a case where I want to use external webservice in my BPM application. What is the best approach to achieve this.
    1) What if I create a web service proxy and wants to use in the BPM app. How can I use this?
    2) Which component do I need to use "Web Service" component or "Third Party Adapter" component from the component pallette?
    3) If I use directly the wsdl in the "Web Service" component will it cause any issues in the future.
I searched in the net and the docs, but it didnt find the proper solutions for this.
Please provide your comments on this.
    Thanks.

First of all a java proxy would not help much here - there is no use for that in SOA suite especially when it comes to using the JCA adapters. Instead reference the WSDL directly in SOA suite but there is a caveat - see my response below
    1) What if I create a web service proxy and wants to use in the BPM app. How can I use this?
Dont create a WS proxy. Instead reference the WSDL and call it using a Service Task from the BPM process
    2) Which component do I need to use "Web Service" component or "Third Party Adapter" component from the component pallette?
Use the WSDL directly and select "Web Service" from the component palette
    3) If I use directly the wsdl in the "Web Service" component will it cause any issues in the future.
Yes there are lots of issues referencing a WSDL directly. Instead upload the WSDL reference to SOA-MDS and then use the oramds:// reference to the WSDL. This will ensure the composite does not break when the WSDL is not available. JDeveloper also goes into a tizzy when the WSDL is not up.

    No need of UDF...
Since you have collected the files in BPM....now put a Switsh step in your BPM just after you have collected your Files.
Put a condition in your Switch Step to check if GD2000TotalRecords = 2......this should be in the condition branch of your BPM and the message included here should be that of File2.....and in this branch put a Control Step with action as Cancel Process....this condition will check if GD2000-TotalRecords is 2 and if yes then then the process will be cancelled...if not 2 then BPM will continue..
Check this out and let me know.

  • BPM + PROXY + Fault Message

    Hello
My scenario is JDBC -> BPM <-> Proxy
    I developed a BPM has a step-type <SENDER> that is synchronous.
    Information on the above step:
. The message interface used an output, an input message and also a Fault Message.
. I'm calling a proxy in the ECC and runs an exception if an error occurs in the application (inside the proxy).
. This exception is returned to the BPM and I run a <block> to handle the exception.
My need is to capture the contents of the exception in the BPM and send this text to another application.
How do I recover the contents of the exception returned by Proxy in BPM?
    Thank you,
      Aroldo

Hi, it is not supported in the meaning that the payload of the fault message is not returned to the integration process, so that's right Baskar. The only thing possible is to trigger exceptions for fault messages, see [Sending Messages from Integration Processes Synchronously -> Procedure -> Specify Exceptions|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/43/6211331c895f6ce10000000a1553f6/content.htm].
    Possible solutions:
If it is a custom proxy you could change the behavior so that no fault messages are triggered. Instead you return the error message in the payload structure of the response.
If it isn't a custom proxy you could create a custom proxy wrapper with a separate structure for exceptions in the response. Call the implementation of your desired proxy in the wrapper implementation, handle the exception and return the exception contents in the separate structure of the response.
Or you could try to create a data type enhancement for exception contents for the response message, create a proxy from the enhancement, and implement the OUTBOUND_PROCESSING method where you copy the exception messages to the structure of the data type enhancement.

  • Bpm send abap proxy problem

BPM send abstract interface sd025proxy (bapa proxy).
in sproxy only message interface outbound and inbound can create proxy, abstract interface can't  create proxy.
so how can I handle this in ID?

Proxy communication needs direction....abstract interface does not have any direction.
BPM send abstract interface sd025proxy (bapa proxy).
BPM will send abstract interface...fine....however when you run config wizard for BPM --> SAP communication include the inbound message interface corresponding to your proxy wherever there is a reference for target(receiver) MI....create a new MI in IR accordingly.....this is the only option available.

  • XI BPM : Help Needed

    Hi All,
I am passing internal table from SAP R3 to sapXI ( BPM ).
It has aroud 2000 records. Now i want to pass these records to the legacy system synchronously in the batch of 200 records.
So how do i proceed? I mean how do i loop at the internal table in bpm?
    Please do the needful.
    Smita.

    Hi,
You can achieve this with the help of ABAP proxy. Your bpm Collect pattern will be collect based on the Message.(Message Dependent Loop)
So you will be having Sender ABAP proxy which will send two messages to XI.
    1) Actul Data with 200 records
    2) Stop message to indicate the BPM that this message is last one.
In the BPM it works with the concept of Fork and it will keep on recieve two messages. WHen you get stop message it will come out from Fork step and write into File. Till stop message , your BPm will keep on collect all the messages.
And in configuration you will be having 3 receiver determinations.
    1) Actual data to BPM ( ABAP proxy to BPM)
    2) Stop Message to BPM(ABAP proxy to BPM)
    3) BPM to legacy system
    To more on this-
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/84/e8763c997fda50e10000000a11405a/frameset.htm - here you go t oIntegration Proces(ccBPM)->Examples and Useage Cases->Example: Collecting and Bundling Messages - One Interface   from the left menu

  • Abstract Interface for IDoc Proxy

    Hi All,
Do we need to make Abstract interfaces for IDocs and Proxys too if we want to use them in BPM?
    XIer

    Aamir,
I agree with u that we can't create proxie's for Abstract interfaces. But consider the case I want to call Proxy inside BPM, is this possible?
Yes its possible. As I mentioned in my previous replies for IDOC's .Similarly for Proxy receiver Interface determination we need to give Actual Inbound Interface name instead of Abstract. MI_Proxy_Abs --> use MI_Proxy_IB . Provided both the interfaces has the same structure.
    I hope it clears!!!
    Best regards,
    raj.

  • BPM/File Content and Dynamic File Name

Bit of a double whammy here!
    I am running a BPM :  R/3 Proxy > XI > BPM > File Adapter (x4)
    All working to a point.....
The file I receive splits into two files, then I pass a Count file - number of records to a separate file and then a file that simply says "ready" on completion.  Four files are:
Data file, Lookup (values and descripton for legacy), Count file and Ready file.
To top this off, it will be run for 12 separate countries so hope to use the country code to add to the file naming - so generating 48 files (if successful). Data_GB.dat, lookup_GB.dat, Count_GB.dat and ready_GB.dat etc....
The first three, I can do (with maybe a little help!), I have looked at the use of dynamic file naming and think I can do this, however, the count file uses the initial file sent, but the ready file passes across the word "ready" to destination file.  How can I utilise the dynamic naming convention if I do not use the original file for this?
Also, the "ready" file is being created but it is empty.  It is okay using the the File Adapter, but when I convert it, the file is empty (but still created!)  IN sxmb_moni, it is showing correctly but once the file content conversion happens, it is empty!
    Any thoughts?

    Thanks Bhavesh.

  • Synch proxy

hi all , i would like to do Synch proxy scenario,

If i  want to call this proxy in BPM, how can do it?

    Hi,
Since You need to send the response message from Proxy then you should use syn inbound proxy because first you will send the data from XI to proxy using inbound proxy and then R/3 will send the response message.
