Proxy to mail

HI All
I am working on a proxy to mail interface. Requirement is to send attachment coming from proxy with the attachment name generated by proxy itself.
I am able to generate the email out with attachment but it is happening only when i am not using Mail package. With this attachment is coming as Untiled.
Using the transformation bean i am able to give attachment a name but whats the way i can receive the name of the attachment from proxy dynamically.
Is it possible using Mail package.

ABAP Proxy with attachment --------> Mail (Content + File Attachment)
If you are using the mail adapter as receiver then if u dont use mail package then the attachment will come as it is file.
If you use mail package then it will come in XML format

Receiver agreement fails in Proxy to Mail Scenario ( B2B)

Hi All,
I have a proxy to mail Scenario. It is an B2B scenario. I communicate on the sender side via a Business System and on the receiver via a Business Service.
This is a Proxy to mail scenario. I test via the test configuration tool. The sender agreement, Receiver detemination, Interface detemination runs fine.
The failure occurs in the receiver agreement. It fails saying " NO standard agreement found" .
I did the the following checks
1. Checked whether the Agreement is active
2. Checked the name of the Communication component and Interface. all ran well
What could be the issue. Why can sender agreement fail.
Can anyone please help.

How to set proxy for mail with Gmail account

Hi, I'm using mail and set up a Gmail pop account. My mac is behind a proxy, say 192.168.0.1:808. I set the system http and https with the above address and can browse the internet with safari. But the mail app cannot receive or send any mails from the google pop/smtp server. Do you know how I can set the proxy for mail so that it can send and receive mail? Thank you very much!

I solved this problem myself by using an app called proxifier. It's a tunneling tool I guess.

Proxy to Mail Adapter issue

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement like a control report is comming from SAP through proxy to XI and I need to send that control report as an attachment in excel format from XI to the 3rd party by the mail adapter.Also in the mail body I have to send the information what is there in the excel.
Now as I have not worked before in mail adapter I want to know how can I send the report as an attachment in a mail adapter that too in excel format format and how can I do the mail body?

AFAIK there is no standard solution in PI to convert the xml message sent by proxy as an xls attachmet. You may have to plugin adapter modules to your receiver email com channels to achieve this. first step would be to convert the xml to flat structure using MessageTransformBean, you could then use the payloadswapbean to convert the payload to an attachment and name it with a .csv extension(which can be opened in excel). Socks5 Proxy in Mail.app

So this is some background. I'm a Peace Corps volunteer living in Samoa. I have a powerbook, and my roommate just purchased a Macbook Pro --- a very nice machine. We work at the National University and get our internet access through a connection in American Samoa. Our university filters traffic as well as at least one person upstream of us.
When I got here, I realized that pop requests were being dropped. For me this wasn't a problem. I came from a unix world, and I'm still using fetchmail to get my email. I have shell accounts on several computers in the states, so I filter all my email fetchings through a socks 5 proxy. Now my roommate just got his computer, and he's coming from the other end of the computing world. He's used windows a bit, but doesnt know much about computers.
So he'd like to use the Mail.app to check his yahoo mail. The delima is that pop access is being blocked. So I thought, hey I can set up a socks 5 proxy and all I should have to do is make some changes in his network settings. I tried to test it out on my powerbook, but I'm having no luck. I can route safari traffic through the proxy just fine, but Mail.app doesn't seem to respect these settings. I've read on the internet that other people have had similar problems. So these are my questions: is there a way to get mail.app to use proxy settings of some sort? If not is there an alternative mail client someone can suggest which will respect these settings?

Mozilla Thunderbird will do what you ask.
However, I'd much rather use Apple Mail, so am anxious for any possible workarounds.

Proxy Blocking Mail?

Hi all,
I recently moved to Japan for a university exchange from Australia and I am living on campus as well as using the university's internet service.
The Uni supplied information on setting up the network settings (pretty straight forward) and then some proxy settings as well which have all been set up and everything.
After setting up everything I was able to use the internet for basic things but some of my favourite sites were being blocked by the proxy (banking sites, Gmail, etc). Furthermore, Mail and Messenger will not connect.
I recently downloaded a program called Authoxy to help bypass this issue and am now able to use Safari on any site i wish. But messenger and mail are still not connecting.
Messenger isn't that big a deal but I use Mail everyday so I need to get that working.
I am using a GMAIL account in Mail and I have checked with Gmail's support page on all the settings which are fine. However, mail still won't connect. It says that the smtp server can't be contacted or something.
I am using IMAP for the client and it worked fine until encountering the proxy.
Any ideas to figure out a way around it? Anything appreciated, thanks.
ALSO: When I use windows with boot camp on the same internet settings, messenger works fine.... hmmm...

My ISP also uses a proxy, which has been a real pain. One thing I can suggest is that you go to the apple on upper left side of your screen, then to location, and then to network settings>advanced for that network. In network settings be sure the proxies have been set up for the network you are using. DO NOT CHECK Socks Proxy - for me, at least, checking that box makes me unable to get mail.
I also use gmail and have been able to get it to work through the proxies, so continue to try checking and unchecking certain proxies and being sure they are set up for your network, and eventually you should get it right.

How to get mail with Proxy in Mountain Lion?

my company is using network proxy server to connection internet.
but i was found the proxy setting is't work on Mail application, the mail application always saying connected server(04-imap.mail.me.com) is timeout.
when i got home, and switched into direct connect without proxy, that mail service was fine.
BTW,i'm pretty sure the company proxy server was fine, because my safari and other network applications is work well when i was using same network condition with mail application can't. the proxy setting is using a Pac file to making its working.

Actually this seems to be on-going problem that is not being addressed by Apple.
The scuttlebut on the Forums is the fact that Apple specific programs and apple specific adressess do not obey PROXY instructions even if set in the Advanced Network settings. Therefore it does not matter what our Network Administrators do the proxy will not be found.
Hence in Mail, my exchange setup works fine (though need to use DavMail as well), My iCloud apple account dismal failure behind the proxy.
There are a number of programs that have been suggested to help MacProxy and Proxify for example.
However, I have found these confusing to use and slove one problem but cuase another for example, with Proxify managed to get BOTH email accounts working, but lost Safari etc etc.
Have never managed to get messenger to work.
I would be enternally greatful if someone with network knowledge could step us through the use of these Proxy directing programs to overcome this "behind a proxy" problem.

Proxy (WithAcknowledgements) to Mail Scenario

Mail Proxy: Emails got stuck in Outgoing directory

Hi
We have a BM3.9SP1 on NW6.5SP7 configured as a HTTP Proxy, Transparent Proxy and inbound Mail Proxy.
But we have a lot of email stucked in the Outgoing Directory(7000 files) and I don't know why.
The BM has only one network card defined asa public/private and it is behind a firewall.
How can I find out what is the problem ?
The Mail volume is a traditional one, because whe had some issues in the past with nss volumes.
If we rename the outgoing directory and the proxy will recreate it we can copy back the files to see if they are going out ?
And why are the files in the Outgoing directory and not in the Incomming as we only use is for the Incomming emails ?

1. without seeing the abend, i'd suggest to go to bm39sp2 and bm39sp2_ir1.
2. Unload proxy, start taking a lan trace on bm using pktscan, load
proxy. Mail proxy will try to deliver the mail. Lan trace will show the
conversation, if any, with the internal mail daemon

Mail receiver adapter generating the Mail with Excel file attachment by using the following details.

but when I select the option KEEP ATTACHMENT in the Mail Receiver Adapter and sending only the Content data without any attachment coding as shown in this Blog then also i am getitng attachment(.txt) file and no mail content. In this case i have used the following R/3 coding.

Important:- with this same coding if i deselct the KEEP ATTACHMENT option in ID then i am geeting
Mail Content properly.
So i think i have to use different communication chaneel one for the Excel file attachment and second for the Mail content.

Did you deployed CreateAttachment on PI server. As this is not a standard SAP module this is a custom module?
mail as module key is already used by XIMAILAdapterBean use some other key for CreateAttachment

Receiver Mail adapter - Text attachment

Hi Folks,
sorry to post again & again same issue.
if i want to achieve (proxy 2 mail scenario) Payload as text attachment in email,
do i need to use below 2 modules in My receiver CC?
Number 1 as AF_Modules/StrictXml2PlainBean
Number 2 as AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean
is it right (the order which i used and Modules which i used)?

do i need to use PayloadSWAPBean module also to achieve my req.?

With XIALL option - i am getting 2 files in a attachment
file name: ATT00001.xml - control records -
output file name : Untitled.xml - Payload (business data)
file name: ATT00001.xml as a attachment in the email
- XI PAYLOAD with out any module( but default sap.com/com.sap.aii.adapter.mail.app/XIMailAdapterBean - module will be there), with out keep attachments option
output file name : Untitled.xml as a attachment in the email
XI Payload with out any module ( but default sap.com/com.sap.aii.adapter.mail.app/XIMailAdapterBean - module will be there), with keep attachments
any one has idea on this, plz throw some inputs

Column header in receiver mail adapter

Hi experts,
I have a proxy to mail scenario in which I send a mail with a file attached.
Is it possible to put column headers in the attachment, possibly without changing the mapping?
I mean, working with module configuration in communication channel?

second approach is,
   2. you can you message transformation bean in you mail receiver communication channel.
