PSE 10 Backup Excludes Some tif & jpg

Goal was:  Backup PSE 10 catalog on laptop and restore it to desktop.
PSE 10 backup of 60K photos failed to backup 4K photos, many .tif and some .jpg.  Reconnected, repaired, repaired anyway & optomized all successfully prior to backup.  Also did same after backup & restoration and all steps were successful except Reconnect was not.  Refuses to reconnect missing files, so have manually found (by scrolling through the catalog) and connected 2.5K photos.  Remaining unconnected photos can only be located one at a time by clicking on Reconnect, which results in a total count of the number missing and then PSE 10 tries to locate just one and when doesn't find it, the PSE 10 closes.  Has taken weeks to reach this point by scrolling 60K photos so remaining, some of which are in stacks, by letting PSER 10 try to Reconnect each photo one at a time and close is a tremendous waste of one life!
Others have written of this same problem, but there has been no solution from Adobe.
Any and all help appreciated.  Thank you.
Pam

Yes, when you think about it, it's impossible for PSE to backup photos that it can't find....
Where are those "missing" files now located?
Have you tried pausing the reconnection process by hitting the "Browse" button on its window and then pointing the reconnection to the parent directory of the missing files?

  • Open in Camera raw grayed out for some tifs not others, bridge

    I searched but could not find a solution. CSR. PC. Windows xp. In CS4 Bridge the option to open with Camera raw is grayed out in the file menu for some tifs and not others - It shows up grayed out on the file menu, but doesn't show at all when right clicking,  even with the files where open with camera raw is not grayed out in the file menu. I have purged the cache, deleted all temp files, closed both bridge and photoshop and still I cannot open the tif in camera raw. It is grayed out. If I go to the pic I touched up yesterday the option is not grayed out. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

    Uh, this is a forum...not an email tech support organization...
    As for your issue, it's simply not clear what you are doing or what issue you have. Can you not open the scanned images via Camera Raw from within Bridge? If you can then you will need to go through each image and adjust the ACR settings before you would be able to process them. Depending on how you set up your actions, Photoshop's Batch may or may not catch settings...that part is pretty complicated.
    Also, I would question your use of JPEGs vs TIFFs. I would suggest scanning as 16 bit TIFF and running those through Camera Raw...you will be loosing a lot to scan into 8 bit JPEG and then re-running through Camera Raw. You really want to be sending ACR 16 bit images...

    Hi cfgolf,
    Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities. I agree with your assessment that something is going on with that previous backup. If you restored from that backup and the issue continues, I would recommend restoring and Set up as new. Before you restore, make sure you Transfer content so that you can sync it back after setting up as new. The instructions on how to Transfer content and Set up as new are both listed in this article.
    iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4137
    2. Transfer content
    Before you erase your device, take a few minutes to transfer your content from your device to your computer to ensure that all your critical data is safe.
    6. Set up as new
    Complete the setup assistant. When prompted to set up your device, select Set Up as New iPhone and tap Next to continue.
    Skip the Apple ID sign-in, in case the original issue was related to any of your content on iCloud.
    Note: After setting up as new, you will need to enter the Visual Voicemail password for iPhone (on carriers that support Visual Voicemail). If you've forgotten the password, contact your carrier to help you reset it.
    After erasing and setting up as a new device, your device is now in a factory configuration. Test to determine if erasing and setting up as a new device resolved the issue. Content on the device may have caused unexpected behavior.
    If the issue is still present, you may want to contact Apple Support.
    If the issue is now resolved, sync one type of content at a time back to the device. For example, if you had an issue playing music, add songs from iTunes and confirm they will play. If your contacts weren't loading successfully, add the contacts back. After each sync, test to see if the issue has returned.

    in Forms Central/View Responses/Save as PDF, is it possible to exclude some form fields from the saved file?

    Hi,
    I would like to inform you that with forms central, you can convert the selected fields to PDF.
    However, your selection should be sequential. Example- You can convert column 1,2,3,4 and not select column 5; but it is not possible to select only column 2 and 3.

    I have rules written to extract data in a specific file format.
    I am using a dynamic member list and then want to exclude some of the entities from doing the extract.

    I am able to load the rules file but it still writes the Tax_Dom info to the file.
    I think I am going to give up and just create a big member list of all the entities less those six.

  • CN41 Report with excluding some cost

    Hi,
    Basically CN41 report shows object wise cost/revenue/commitment/budget for one or more number of projects. Is it possible to show the SAP Standard Report CN41 with excluding some cost against any object (WBSE/Activity/Activity Element). Thats is it might be excluding the cost incurred on some specific cost elements. I can achieve it with cost element report but can it be done with CN41/CN41N report ?
    Or
    Any Standard cost elements report with Cost/ Revenue/ Commitment details where i can exclude perticular cost elements ??
    Is there any parameters we can set in DP profile/Selection profile. But this requirement should be available only for a specific user Ids not for all users.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Hari Krishna.K

    maybe T-Code s_alr_87013543 or cji3 helps.
    try doing.

  • Exclude some columns during TDMS transfer

    Good morning.
    We need to exclude some columns during our TDMS transfer.
    For example, we have a table with 10 fields at the sender, we only need 8 fields to show up at the receiver.
    I have reviewed all my TDMS documents and TDMS on-line help but found no info about  this.
    Did any expert do similar thing before?
    Thanks!

    Hello ,
    Another potential workaround could be to use Scrambling rules for such fields
    and in the scrambling logic force the fields values to SPACE so that in the reciever those fields (Columns) are not transferred
    with any data.

  • DB2 backup excluding one table

    Hello all,
    We have AIX 5.3 and DB2 9.1 for our CRM 2007 server. There is a table which contains CVV number. Is it possible to take the backup by excluding that table. Are there any tools that would help in taking backup excluding the table containing CVV number.
    Best Regards,
    Ninad

    a) You can encrypt the cvv column only - either using db2's encrypt function or encrypting the data before it hits the database.
    b) If you have to exclude only CVV numbers, instead of dropping the entire table, you can consider setting the cvv value to null after exporting the data. after the backup completes, you can re-import the cvv data.
    This approach is expensive and may take long time. In addition, you will not be able to insert new data into the table for the backup duration
    c) You can consider setting up a nickname (reference to a remote table in a different database) for the entire table or the cvv column only. You need not take a backup of this database.

  • How to exclude some tables from schema level replicatio????

    Hi,
    I am working on oracle10g stream replication.
    My replication type is "Schema Based".
    So can anyone assist me to undersatnd, how to exclude some tables from schema based replication.
    Thanks,
    Faziarain

    You can use rules and include them in the rule set, lets say you dont want LCR to be queued for table_1 in schema SALES, write two rules one for DDL and another for DML with NOT logical condition.
    DBMS_RULE_ADM.CREATE_RULE(
    rule_name => 'admin.SALES_not_TALBE_1_dml', condition => ' (:dml.get_object_owner() = ''SALES'' AND NOT ' ||
    ' :dml.get_object_name() = ''REGIONS'') AND ' ||
    ' :dml.is_null_tag() = ''Y'' ');
    DBMS_RULE_ADM.CREATE_RULE(
    rule_name => 'admin.hr_not_regions_dlll',
    condition => ' (:dml.get_object_owner() = ''SALES'' AND NOT ' ||
    ' :ddl.get_object_name() = ''table_!'') AND ' ||
    ' :dsl.is_null_tag() = ''Y'' ');
    just go through this document once, http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28321/strms_rules.htm#i1017376

  • How to exclude some tables in inoort

    Hi all,
    how to exclude some tables . For example, I have Oracle
    export file which contains a hundred tables, but I want to import all the tables except one, i.e. its (some table name) . Can I achieve this goal?
    thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    It depends on your Oracle Release.
    Up to Oracle *9.2* you have just the classical export/import utility.
    So, you'll have to list the Tables you want to Import with the following parameter:
    TABLES=(
    <table_1>,
    <table_n>
    )Starting with *10.1* you have the Datapump (expdp / impdp). With this new utility you have the very useful parameter EXCLUDE. It works like that:
    EXCLUDE=TABLE:"='<table>'"Please find a link about this topic:
    http://www.oraclefaq.net/2007/03/09/expdp-datapump-excludeinclude-parameters/
    Hope this help.

  • Export_to_Excel_pkg - How to exclude some fields in the export?

    While it does generate an excel spreadsheet, it includes all the columns of my report even though I have conditions on most of them. I was able to create an Excel spreadsheet excluding some fields based on the column's condition. I accomplished this by modifying the Export_to_Excel_pkg package. I added a new procedure and modified an existing one (print_report_header). I bolded the area where I changed or added code.<br><br>

  • MacBookPro AirportCard  excludes some UK channels

    Initially when my MacBook Pro couldn't see wifi networks that other Mac and PC users could, I thought that my laptop was just less sensitive to the signals. But then at the building where I work, while everybody I asked got a strong signal from the in-house wifi network, it didn't even show on my MacBook Pro.
    At a cafe full of happy surfers, the café's network doesn't show on my MacBook Pro. At another café I manage to get online but after a brief sleep (the MacBook Pro, not me) the network doesn't show.
    It turns out that the airport card in my 17" MacBook Pro (bought in the UK and used only in the UK and Ireland) frequently changes to country codes other than "GB". These include "DE" and "AT" but most frequently it selects  the code "US" and therefore excludes some UK wifi channels.
    When at my apartment I can simply connect to my router by cable or keep my Airport Express on a US channel.
    However, away from my apartment, when my Airport decides to set itself to "US", it is impossible to see or connect to some UK channels. As one cannot manually reset the Airport card to "GB" I have to carry my old PowerBook G4 with me as well in order to access the internet. It is both cumbersome and time-consuming to have to transfer images from my new MacBook Pro to my old PowerBook G4 just to be able to email them.
    That's not a solution. What is?
