PSE 7.0 Crashes w/Adobe E-Mail Service

PSE 7.0 crashes with the following response when I try to send an image using Photomail or as an attachment.
It appears to work fine (or at least gets to the point where I can edit the message) when using Outlook or Outlook Express. However, we use Thunderbird, so would prefer to use the Adobe E-Mail service. We upgraded from PSE 4, which worked on the Adobe E-Mail Service with no issues.
"Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0 (Organizer) has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
It gets to the point where the email shows up on the right-hand sidebar, then the mouse goes to an hourglass for a few seconds and then the above error message.
I'm running XP Pro SP3.
Any ideas?

A couple of other thoughts:
1. Perhaps PSE 7 doesn't like the PSE 4 address book. That happens occasionally, though I recall it caused other symptoms, not a crash. You could find all copies of the file "contacts.xml" and delete them, and see if that helps. Different versions of PSE can hide these in dfferent folders, so configure Windows Explorer to show hidden files and then search your entire C drive.
2. You could try the sledgehammer approach of uninstalling PSE 7, manually removing all traces left behind by the uninstaller, and then re-installing in what Adobe calls "simplified mode", with anti-virus and all other background services disabled:

PSE 9 Adobe E‑mail Service do not send to some mail adresses

Background:
My 64 bit Win 7 home premium PC do not have any mail client and I'm using only the IE brower for mailing [my mail is hosted by one.com] . So for PE sharing (mail) i'm using the organizer mail client Adobe E‑mail Service. In organizers sharing preferences I'm suposed to enter my own mailadress for verification of the mailing adress for Adobe E-mail service.
The issue:
If I enter my own private mailadress [email protected] there is no mail send out.
My mail host provider, one.com, has verified that there is no record in their mailserver logs of any incomming mail what so ever = no mail has succesfully been send by the Adobe organizer mail client.
AND IF I use my work mail adress [email protected] in the preferences and as mail reciever every thing works fine.
I also tested having [email protected] noted in sharing preferences, but having my priviate mailadress [email protected] only as a mail reciever. Well same negative result. There is no registred mail in the mail server logs at all coming from .[email protected] or send to [email protected]
My questions
1. Is there any PE logs to look at i the PC
2. How do I make Adobe support to seriusly take on this issue. The somewhat disapointing answer the give me are like "not our fault, ask someone else. case closed"
3. I have once, non-PE elsewhere, experienced a SW that did not recognice a '[email protected]' adress as a mailingaddress. Anyone know where to find the list over what type of mailadresses PE recognizes?

Windows Mail or Adobe E-mail Service pros / cons ?

With PSE 8 photo sharing by email attachment or photo mail requires a selection (via organizer > edit > preferences > sharing) of Adobe E-mail Service or Windows Mail. What are the pros and cons in making this selection? Side question : Is Windows Live Mail the same as Windows Mail?

A mail client is not bundled with Windows 7, therefore on has to install one. Widows Live Mail is a free download from Microsoft. It performs well.
My workflow is to right click a picture file, go to Send to>Mail recipient, or attach to the e-mail message from within Live Mail
Perhaps someone else with experience with Adobe e-mail service will address this issue.

Photoshop Elements 11 - Adobe E-Mail-Service funktioniert nicht

Ich habe kein Outlook am laufen. Ich versende meine Mails mit GMail. Da dies nicht unterstützt wird von Photoshop Elements 11 habe ich mir nun gedacht dass ich es mit Adobe E-Mail-Service versuche.
In der Beschreibung steht: "Wenn sie den Adobe E-Mail Service wählen sendet Adobe Ihnen zunächst eine E-Mail zu, um zu testen ob ihre E-Mail Adresse E-Mails senden und empfangen kann.
Leider erhalte ich aber keine E-Mail von Adobe. Vielleicht liegt es auch daran, dass ich keine [email protected] E-Mail Adresse habe. Meine registrierte E-Mail Adresse bei Adobe lautet [email protected]
Hat jemand eine Idee wie dies funktioniert mit dem Adobe E-Mail Service?

Adobe e-mail service - anyone able to send photos to Facebook?

Facebook allows photos to be uploaded via a email address. None of the photos I send using Adobe E-Mail Service appear to arrive in Facebook. I am able to use the Adobe E-Mail client to send to other addresses without any problems and I can use other email clients to send to the Facebook address without any problems. Has anyone been able to get this to work for them?

Try sending the photos to your other email accounts(google, yahoo etc) and see if you get the email. This way we can figure out the cause of the issue.

Attempting to select Adobe E-mail service in the "preferences",am not receiving email with verification code to continue

I am trying to select Adobe e-mail service in the "preferences", but am not getting an email with verification code that allows me to continue. Anyone else with this problem? Probably need to contact Adobe directly, but so far not find that option.

PSE 8 Editor crashes in Adobe Camera Raw

This occurs with either one of these instances--1. When I download a raw file in Editor, or 2. It downloads into Camera Raw, but then crashes when I click on OPen Image. I do have version 5.6 of Camera Raw installed. After it crashes, there is no error message, it just disappears.

That's very possibly the cause of your problems. PSE can get confused when more than one version of ACR is installed. PSE loads every file it finds in the Plug-Ins folder and subfolders, regardless of its name.
Using Windows Explorer, find all versions of the "Camera Raw.8bi" plug-in (including ones you might have renamed or stashed away in subfolders) under
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 8.0\Plug-ins\
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Elements Organizer 8.0\Plug-ins\
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Plug-Ins\
Do Help > About Plug-Ins to verify no version is being loaded.
Then go back to Adobe.com and download and reinstall ACR 5.6, being sure to follow the installation instructions for PSE precisely.

Adobe E-mail Service doesn't work

I'm trying to send ONE photo to a friend. The HTML Email dialog box appears requesting verification. Is this really necessary? Anyway, I'm supposed to receive an email with a "Sender Verification" number. I never get an email. I press "Resend e-mail" I never get a repsonse. I do not want to use the only other option offered through "Preferences/Sharing" which is Windows Live Mail. Why has Adobe made this so difficult and how can I send this one photo?

This problem has been fixed with Elements 13 as you can setup your yahoo/gmail or other service providers' id with Elements and then send email using that email id. You can download Elements 13 trial and try that feature once.

PSE 7 Photomail crashes with Winmail (Vista). Previous threads checked

We have two machines, both running PSE 7 under Vista (Administrator accounts). On my wife's machine PSE 7 Photomail crashes with Winmail, on mine it works both with Adobe's Mail and Outlook. My wife uses Winmail, not Outlook.
I have checked the previous threads here on the forum and Rolf's master list, especially the one "PSE crashes during Photo Mail Steps of October 5, 2008" where it was suggested to assure to run under Admin priviledges and set Winmail in the Control Panel as default mail service.
I have deleted the Organizer Preferences (c:\users\user\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\7.0\Organizer\psa.prf) and noted that the new file is much smaller than the renamed one! Funny??!! Something going on here!
Adobe's mail service funcions, but, as many have said before, I have no record of the outgoing mail.
Except for going through Adobe's monstrous and ridiculous "check & fix" Knowledge Base list I seem to have checked all. Maybe I should tackle the Registry entries?
Any ideas or do we all wait for PSE 8 and hope that quality control has smartened up?

Adobe E-Mail error logging

Does Adobe e-mail service in PSE 8 have any error logging capability; if so, where is the error log kept?
Photo e-mails sent via the Share option do not always reach the recipient, and I get no indication of why not.
I have Windows 7 Home Premium with Windows Live Mail.

Try sending the photos to your other email accounts(google, yahoo etc) and see if you get the email. This way we can figure out the cause of the issue.

Adobe e-mail body can't be changed

Using Elements 11, when I attempt to share photos via e-mail attachment, the e-mail text area is locked and I can not change it before sending the e-mail using Adobe e-mail service.
I can change the subject line in the e-mail dialog and when I send the e-mail and attachments, they get sent OK.

Yes, that is a known issue in PSE11 and has been raised on this and other forums multiple times. As a workaround, you may copy-paste the body of message, though cumbersome but it will atleast make email feature work for you.

PSE 6 (mac) sending photos by e.mail from within PSE

The facility exists to send photos as attachments through the Adobe e.mail service. Where are the e.mail messages filed once the mail/photo has been sent (for future reference, perhaps).

No, the email function for the organizer is totally different (but it doesn't work with Eudora). The desirable file size depends on a lot of things, like the recipient's connection speed, mailbox size limitations, etc. For maximum compatibility, traditionally it's considered best to size to no more than 750 pixels on the long side of a photo, but these days when more people have broadband and larger monitors you can go much larger if you know it's going to be okay. Just remember that some ISPs still have a 5MB total limit for mailbox size, and don't torture any dialup users with larger files--when I had dialup I was always having to call support to empty my mailbox for me after someone sent me a photo that exceeded the total amount of storage space so that I couldn't even get in to trash the attachment.

Cannot edit text sufficiently within the Photo E-mail service (Elements 11)

Greetings to all, a little help required please....
Just purchased Elements 11 - excellent product at the price and am having a great deal of fun using it.
One frustrating flaw within the Photo E-mail service....
I've been using the Adobe e-mail service and it sends e-mail just fine having set up the account as required.
Each new e-mail appears with the text "Here are the files I want to share with you."
Now I'd like to replace that with some different text. I can delete it and replace it on the first editing page, and it stays there after I click 'Next' to the following 'Customise Layout' section.
Clicking on 'Next' after this page, we have the final e-mail page, and the text has reverted back to 'Here are the files I want to share with you' again......
I can delete it again, but cannot type in any further text anywhere on that screen.
Any help on this??
Shame, because the programme generally is superb. Have transformed a number of pics already, and it would be nice to use the e-mail prog that's built in as I'd like to use it, adding text as required. Otherwise, why have all the font and layout choices available if not??

I tried the same and its changing at my side.
Try to reset you preferences :
Open PSE just to the Welcome Screen and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Mac: Cmd + Opt + Shift) and keep pressing.
Click on organizer from the Welcome Screen but keep pressing the keyboard keys - don't let up.
You will get a little dialog box asking if you want to delete the settings file. Click "Yes." You can let go of the keyboard keys now.
This will rebuild the file for you and often solves the issue.
Try to send the email again.

PSE 12 EDITOR CRASHES

The PSE editor keeps crashing. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Concerning the PSE-12 Editor, I find that this crashes after editing 10 to 20 JPEGs of ~20 Mpixels (not tried raw files yet). I have used at least three earlier versions of the editor on the same machine and in the same circumstances and none of them ever crashed (unlike the Organizer).
The crash either leaves a trace in the Event Log, just blocks, so one needs to kill the process with the Task Manager, or says that it has a lack of memory. These are the symptoms of a classic memory leak.
After getting advice from Adobe, I switch off all start-up processes with MSCONFIG, but the Editor still crashed (after 25 files this time).
Does anyone else have this problem? I would be very surprised if I am the only one...
