Publish html5

Hi,
I made a presentation in html5 for tablet user and I would like to know how can they view it on their tablet?
Can I just copy the files on the tablet? Doesn't seem to work by the way...
Do I have to upload it on my web page or something else?
I have android and ipad tablet.
Thanks!!!
Caroline

I found a way to make it play but I had to insert mp4 video, the problem is that when I click on the video sometimes it works at the first time and sometimes I have to click like 5 time...
I use the software document to transfert my presentation and play it, that's the only way I found to play it locally.
If you know something better, please tell me!!!!
thanks.

    Is it possible to edit/change audio files in a published html5 file?

    Theoretically, YES, but they would need to be in exactly the same format and have the same filename.  Why would you be wanting to do this?  If the new files are not the same playing length, this could potentially throw out any synchronisation with other elements in the presentation.

  • Publish html5 file from Flash Pro CC

    I subscribed Flash Pro CC and open a fla file produced by using Flash Pro CS5, It works to be tested with Control > Test Movie > Flash Professional and also successfully published to a swf and a html files. But it didn’t work to publish with CreateJS  toolkit to be html5 file. A warning says
    “Frame numbers in EaselJS start at 0 instead of 1. For example, this affects gotoAndStop and gotoAndPlay calls. (10)
    Content with both Bitmaps and Buttons may generate local security errors in some browsers if run from the local file system”.
    What should I do to solve this problem?

    Thank you very much, Kglad. It seems to me that I should insert JS statemnts in the actionScript to complete the job. I don't have any experience in JS. My Fla has only "Click to certain frame of theTmeline" with the Actionscript such as
    OBJ_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, clickto1);
      function clickto1(event:MouseEvent):void
              gotoAndStop("OBJ");
    Should I insert a JS in addition to this script? The JS should be inside of  " /* JS..........*/" ? Do I have to learn the whole JS before I can know how to publish HTML5 from Flash Pro CC? Please help me.

    Hot spots not working in IE when publishing HTML5. When user points on correct hotspot, the negative feedback is given. This happens only in latest version 8.0.1.

    Hello ,
    Welcome to Adobe Forums !
    I am also able to reproduce the issue on Internet Explorer 10.
    Could you please reply with the exact version of Internet Explorer you are using?

  • Captivate 6 published HTML5 video not playing properly in LMS

    I published my Captivate 6 video to SWF and HTML5, with SCORM.  I uploaded the files to my LMS, Absorb.   The video contains some multi-slide synched video and a couple quiz slides.  For some reason, when viewing on the iPad my quiz result slide and the last part of the video appear to merge into one slide.  Any idea whay this is happeniong?  Note...this does NOT happen when I view the video on a web browser on my PC with Internet Explorer.  The quiz result slide appears all by itself at the end of the video as expected.  I am including a screen shot...appreciate any help!

    Unfortunately, no. I gave up on the idea of inserting question slides in the middle of videos. That means I no longer have videos distributed across multiple slides, which I assume was causing the problem. Now, I only insert quiz slides AFTER the video slide. Not preferred but that's what I ended up with.
    I have recently upgraded to 7.  I haven't had a chance to see if the issue is fixed in 7.  To be honest I am having many issues getting my courses to play properly on the iPad. I am using all the default functions and quiz slides, but I continue to run into problems.

  • Captivate crashes on publishing HTML5 output with a widget that uses "requires" tag in oam.xml

    Has anyone else run into this problem?
    I have an HTML5 widget that depends on certain (small) image files.
    When I try to wrap those image files in the oam.xml file via the <requires> tag, the widget places on the Captivate stage just fine, but Captivate crashes on publish.
    Remove the <requires> elements (but leave the empty tag) and it publishes just fine, but the images don't make it into the published folder.
    Here is the oam.xml file:

  • Published HTML5 - Clickbox won't progress with F4?

    Hi Everyone,
    This is a bit of an odd question. I have published a course to HTML5.  It uses click boxes which also have keyboard shortcuts (e.g. either tap it, or press the key on your keyboard).  One of these click boxes keyboard shortcut is the <F4> function key (to simulate how it works in our software program we are training on).  However, when I try to use this to progress to the next slide in IE - it won't work (it actually makes my search bar drop down instead).
    I am assuming this is an IE Browser shortcut - does anyone know how to turn this off/ or better yet, if there is a way to get this <F4> to work for my course in an IE Browser with HTML5 published content?
    Thank you!
    Nicole

    The browser will have right of way no matter how you try to convince it otherwise. I suggest you give the user another option to indicate they know the F4 key would be what they should use in the actual application.

  • Captivate 7 - Published HTML5 for mobile fine on laptop but 404 error on mobile devices

    I published a Captivate 7 project in HTML5 for mobile devices and transfered the folder with all the subfolders and files to my web server using FTP and FileZilla. The project plays fine in multiple browsers on laptop and desktop computers. However, iPhones, iPads, and Android tablets opening the same URL get the error: "404: Page Not Found - Sorry the page you are looking for does not exist". Here is the link:
    My project
    Did I transfer the files incorrectly? Is there a setting I should change on my web space provider (ipage.com)? Are there other settings I should be using when I publish? I'm relatively new to Captivate and I've tried the tutorials and help pages and can't seem to find any helpful information. Any help would be great! Thanks!
    - James
    Update on 1/1/13 - I submitted a support ticket with my web space provider (ipage.com) and they were able to update the  ".htaccess code" and the project works. Anyone with similar issues, contact your web hosting provider, or if you are knowledgeable and able, the .htaccess code needs to be updated.

    Do you know what the .htaccess code was for? I am uploading to an LMS, and get no error message on tablets, no message at all. Just blank. Does this .htaccess code apply to LMS, do you know?

  • Replay Slide Button published HTML5 issue.

    I know the script has been covered a million times over. I'm currently using the Expression cpCmndGotoSlide = cpInfoCurrentSlide - 1 Continue script. It works just fine with flash output and self contained PDFs. However, we're trying to make this training module compatible with droid tablets and all desktops so we need it published to HTML5 files without a PDF. The button works just fine in the HTML file on the machine I used to publish the file. As soon as I move all the files to a tablet or another desktop, the button no longer works. I'm using Chrome to play the HTML file on all machines and tablets. Does anyone know why moving the files would cause the button to stop working? Or a work around for this particular issue? Has anyone else seen this issue before?
    Thanks for any help. Been trying to resolve this issue for a while now.

    Is it a smart shape used as button and are you using scalable when publishing? If so, HTLM5 doesn't like smart shapes used as buttons when publishing with Scalable. It's a bug that Adobe is aware of.

  • Just upgraded to Presenter 10- publish HTML5

    Trying to republish a 5 minute PPT with audio to HTML5 (Previously worked as swf). The published file has a 30 second to 2 minute delay before starting using a PC laptop. Using an Iphone, sometimes starts and buffers for great lengths of time. On android, won't start. Thoughts?

    ....partially resolved, in case anyone else with sim prob.....
    ....with Photoshop open you click "Open" (top left) and 'Finder' opens up in the window with 'Photos' listed.
    Select which pic you want to edit (duplicates must be created first in 'Photos") and it opens in Photoshop Editor
    It's all a bit messy but seems to work.

  • Problem when publishing HTML5 canvas animation

    Hi,
    I have a problem when I publish my animation in flash cc into HTML canvas, although it works fine on my desktop, but it gets worse on tablet, the animation gets slower and the colors are darker.
    I did some fixes as: removed all filters - converted the artwork objects into bitmaps - I even deleted the big BGs that have the biggest sizes.
    Any help/suggestions would be very appreciated.

    Thanks kglad for you reply, but the animation I am publishing is too simple and short, I've deleted anything that may effect the performance, I am sending you the link to view it and tell me if there is something wrong I am doing.

  • Sharepoint publishing - different options for Webhelp and HTML5

    Hi all,
    publishing HTML5 output to Sharepoint 2010 workes fine for me, I can select the path and enter a log-in. However, the publishing options for Webhelp apparently do not allow for user authentification. I can only enter a path and Robohelp always says that is is invalid.
    Can someone provide a hint how I would proceed? Is it possible that Webhelp only supports Sharepoint 2007?
    Robert

    I don't have access to either version of Sharepoint so this is a shot in the dark. Can you use the FTP option to publish to Sharepoint? That does have user authentication.

  • Captivate 6 publishing to HTML5 for Android 4.1

    Now that Android has officially dropped support for Flash with version 4.1 (aka "Jellybean"), does anyone see hope for Adobe making improvements in the ability for Captivate 6 to publish HTML5 files for the Android environment, that run properly (including sound)?
    I have tested a variety of HTML5 capable browsers, and most fail in delivering audio.  This included Chrome, Firebox, Opera, and others.  The best one I have found, in terms of working with the HTML5 Captivate content, is Dolphin combined with Dolphin JetPack.
    This is very disappointing.  The Android industry is closing the Flash door, yet Adobe has not responded with fixes to HTML5 output in response.

    Hi All,
    I have come up with solution .
    re-direct firefox  using js to other location   & for IE/safari/Chrome to original content unmodified
    Step 1) convert all audio files from .mp3 found in folder named "ar" to .ogg and place in the same folder
    Step2)  "Project.js" rename all the audio files named as .mp3 to .ogg
    example : open "Projects.js" using any text editor then  rename all .mp3 to .ogg
    1923.mp3 find using Ctrl+f rename to 1923.ogg rename all audio files to ogg
    Step3) find folder "asserts" find "js" open "CPHTML5Warnings.js" using your favourite text editor
    Add the folowing line so that Error message is not displayed
    this.BrowserEnum.FIREFOX_MIN_SUPPORTED_VERSION = xx;
    after the line
    this.BrowserEnum.SAFARI_MIN_SUPPORTED_VERSION = 5.1;
    Under "//Check for browser Compatibility"
    find this lines first
    if((this.browser == this.BrowserEnum.MSIE) && (this.browserVersion >= this.BrowserEnum.MSIE_MIN_SUPPORTED_VERSION ))
                lSupported = true;
    add these lines
    else if((this.browser == this.BrowserEnum.FIREFOX) && (this.browserVersion >= this.BrowserEnum.FIREFOX_MIN_SUPPORTED_VERSION ))
                lSupported = true;
    Save, Your are allset you can play html5 on FIREFIOX on antroid devise ,tested

  • HTML5 Encoder issue with publishing - URGENT

    I am running Captivate 8 on a Mac. I have created a course with many .flv files. (These were converted from other formats, then uploaded - I did not try to add then let the Encoder convert them upon upload.)
    The course publishes fine to .swf.
    When I try to publish HTML5 with scalable content, I get hung opening the Media Encoder.
    The message reads "Launching Adobe Media Encoder. Generating MP4."
    This screen gets stuck. I have Media Encoder open currently.
    I need to get this published for a client ASAP. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your help!

    In case anyone else has this issue, this type of an error is an indicator that the files have not been properly encoded for Captivate. You will need to open Adobe Media Encoder (even if your file is already an .mp4) and encode it.

  • Publishing Flash animation in HTML5 (Captivate 6).

    I have created a Flash animation in After Effects, and need to publish this in Captivate 6 in HTML5. Every time I try it just published it as a blank screen. Is there a way to, preferably fix this, or alternatively work around this?
    Thanks

    For now, because all I need to achieve was quite a simple animation of a line graph growing, I can build a makeshift animation in Captivate using white shapes and motion commands to give this appearance, but going forward: Our digital team feels that if we are to incorporate animations in e-learning / m-learning, we will need to develop part of it from scratch while just using Storyline or Captivate for the authoring of content / transition etc.
    For the mean time, if a client just wants something specifically for online, and not for mobile devices, I can suggest using Captivate, but the amount of clients wanting this is already low and I'm sure will continue to diminish as long as people keep purchasing smart phones and tablets.
    There is also the option of creating what you want in After Effects and then saving it as a movie file which will publish in Captivate when publishing HTML5. It isn't the smoothest looking thing ever though, and TBH the more I played around with the publishing in HTML5 option with content other than basic features, the less interested I became in using it. I will be giving it another go when I have a minute though.
    Let me know if you have any progress if your trying any of these, or other, possible work arounds.
    Thanks
