Purchase a/c system in B1

Hi all,
I would like to know ,if  using purchase accounting system, what are impacts on system & functionality.
can any one guide me.
regards,
manisha

Hello,
hope this following info could guide you:
Purchase Accounts Posting System (PAPS)
The Purchase Accounts Posting System allows you to better manage a company's budget and expenses. It is a sensitive definition in the sense that once it's activated and journal entries have been created it cannot be updated.
Purchase accounts posting system can be activated under:
Administration > System Initialization > Company Details.
Check the Use Purchase Accounting Posting System box on the basic Initialization tab.
On activation of this feature, three accounts are created in inventory tab in G/L account determination namely: Purchase Account, Purchase return Account, Purchase offset Account
Administration > Set Up > Financial > G/L Account determination. Inventory tab
Purchase account: When an A/P invoice or a goods receipt PO is created, the purchase account is recorded in the journal entry along with the same amount that is recorded for the stock account.
Purchase return account: When a goods return or an A/P credit memo is created, this account is recorded in the journal entry along with the same amount that is recorded for the stock account.
Purchase offset account: This account is an offsetting account for purchase account or purchase return account.
The PAPS is a fantastic cost accounting tool because it allows you to define purchasing budget since a purchase account can be made an expense account. Furthermore, if objects such as item groups and warehouses belong to profit centers, purchase account can be linked to their G/L account determination and distribution rule can also be defined for the purchase accounts.
By and large, to drive internal reporting, objective and critical decision making, these functionalities can be leveraged in SAP Business One. The flexibility of report generation is great and if need be, these reports can be exported into external systems for better data analysis.
let me know if you still need more info. But best approach to understanding something after knowing the theory is to practice.
Rgds,

    Dear Expert,
Need your help, we using SRM 7 with extended classic scenario, we use workflow for PO with 3 levelling (if the value of po more than 200 million Rp). now, there is no problem when we approve this po for approver 1 and approver 2. but when the approver 3 want to approve this PO, these error show up:
Organization O 50000716 is not a purchasing group; inform system administration ( i actually have assign a purchasing group in function tab for this organizational unit )
System of purchasing organization O 50000658 and purchasing group O 50000716 differ (there is a different with the company code for O 50000658 (cc:1000) & O 50000716 (cc:1100)) but i'm not sure this is the cause.
    best regards,
    Melynessa

    Hi Melynessa
Did you maintained a purchasing organization for the approver 3? A purchasing group and a  purchasing organization are needed.
Try to compara the information of approver 1 and 2 with approver 3 (PPOMA_BBP, SU01, etc).
    I hope this helps.

  • After Effects CC only - Purchasing a new system for....

Getting ready to purchase a new system for After Effects CC.  I create 3D effects, video effects and many animation effects small scale for website development and YouTube.  I have been considering a system with Xeon E5-2697 V3 processor (14 cores, 3 GHz Clock), 16 GB RAM, 1T SR-HD, and of course a NVIDIA GTX-GPU Cuda video card.  Would this pass the system requirements for After Effects CC?   Any other recommendations?  I do not want to experience the slow downs that I am currently having with my i7 intel system.
    Thank you

....Eric may have the most expert advice on this topic....he builds machines at ADK for what you are talking about.
You may want to ask him about Haswell E...AE requires CPU clock speed, many cores, and large system memory. Also, a fast, separate drive for the  " global performance cache" is beneficial. The GPU use is less than what is used in Premiere ....a solid GeForce card like the NVidia 970 may suffice. I'm trying to cancel my plan as i accidentally signed up for the free trial on the USA site not Australia and now im a student i need to purchase the full system.

    Hi there
Trial plans do not need to be cancelled.
I've made a change to your current Adobe ID with USA as the country so please go ahead and create a new Adobe ID with the correct country using the same email address.
You'll then be able to sign up for a paid membership.
    Thanks

  • Can I purchase window 7 system builder ?

I would like to install window 7 operating system in my macbook pro but don't know which window 7 should I purchase? Can I purchase window 7 system builder coz it is a lot cheaper?

Yes. Windows 7 OEM will work. The only difference between an OEM and a full retail version is the license agreement. Ensure you read it. Do not get a branded (HP, Dell, etc.) OEM version. These versions will only work on the computer they are branded to.

  • Wish to purchase CC but system won't let me qualify for reduced monthly price

I wish to subscribe to CC but the system won't let me qualify for the reduced monthly price even though I own CS5.5. I purchased CS5.5 through the Adobe License site and, when I login with my Adobe ID to that site, it shows the purchase and serial number. However, when I enter the serial number while attempting to purchase CC the system says I don't qualify.
CS5.5 is running on my computer at this very moment. Am I doing something wrong? I'm happy to private message any needed info.

  • Purchasing After Effects System

    Hello Everyone,
Im purchasing a new system mainly for print photoshop and design work. However, i want to break into motion graphics so i would like a system that can handle After Effects well so that i can learn the ropes. I checked out a basic single processor quad core 2.66 at the mac store and it handled a 2Gig photoshop file no problem. So that system would be comfortable for that purpose.
My question is, how comfortable would learning be on the following system. After Effects is a lot to learn and i want to be able to explore the effects and preview without wasting lots of time but i also want to be reasonable.
    Quad-Core
One 2.66GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon "Nehalem" processor
    8GB
NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 with 512MB
I know its the low end but i thought it would be great for someone to learn After Effects on. Please note that i would probably get frustrated with a slow system and this would dampen my motivation to learn After Effects. I just dont want to wait twenty minutes just to see what a filter would do.
    thanks in advance.

The specs you've posted are well within the requirements to run After Effects reliably.
    Some other considerations:
Video applications use a lot more hard drive space than PSDs, especially if you work with lossless files.  Get a nice big hard drive to store your footage on.  A 1.5 Terabyte SATA drive is  below US $150 these days.
Video applications work best when the project resources (footage etc) are stored on a separate drive to the OS and application.  So ideally you should have at least two drives accessible to the system:  a system drive for the OS and applications, and a fast resources drive to store your footage and other resources for PS and After Effects.  If you plan to work in high definition resolutions, you may need to consider RAIDing multiple drives to increase your drive I/O capabilities.
I can't imagine doing a lot of work in AE without lots of screen real estate.  If your budget permits, consider dual monitors - it will make Photoshop AND AE much easier to work with.

    Hi Ashish,
I would like to ask you about the MIRO part of the Purchasing Account Management.
I have configured the following steps in SPRO
SPRO > MM > Val & Acc *** > Acc Determ > Acc Determ w/o Wizard > Pur Acc mgmt
              1) Activate Account in Co Code
              2) Calculation of Value for Purchase Account
              3) Separate account document for Pur Acc Posting
                        a) Activate Sep Acc Doc for Pur Acc Post in Valuation Area
                        b) Create new document type for separate document
                        c) Configure Number Range for New Doc Type
                        d) IM: Configure doc type for separate FI doc
(I´ve copied WE doc and name it as WZ)
                        e) IV: Configure doc type for separate FI doc
(I´ve copied RE doc and name it as RZ)
Also configured OBYC: EIN, EKG, FRE
During Good Receipt, i succesfully get the separate accounting with accounts
    (D) Purchase Account
    (C) Purchase Offseting Account
However, when i want to get the same during Invoice Verification i only get the regular Accounts:
    (D) Vendor Acc
    (C) GR/IR offseting account
As far as I understand as per SAP documentation, i should be able to have this Purchasing Account Management in both operations (G.R. and I.Verification).
Could you explain how to configure this part?
many thanks in advance for any information or comment.
    Regards,
    Nicolas.

  • (DBT_E001 Translation of Purchase Value) How system determines this value?

    Hi gurus,
I am selling an security after the same i am doing TPM18 afterwards system posts gain or loss on sale of security.
now to determine the gain or loss system derives a purchase value by using DBT_E001 update type. difference between this and sale price is treated as gain or loss based up on the situation.
in our case we are having this mutual fund from year 2007 and we are buying and selling this frequently then how system calculates the purchse price which is shown in DBT_E001.
what is the correct procedure of selling the security?
    Pl. Help!
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sayujya

    Hi,
Once you have posted the sale flow, then if you reverse the purchase flow, then the earlier profit/loss will be automatically reversed and a new profit/loss will be calculated.
But in your case, you cannot reverse the purchase because the sale units will become more than the purchased units if you reverse that purchase.  Check the no of units is sale transaction, whether it is correct.
Hence system will not allow you to reverse the purchase.  So you have to reverse the sale and then reverse the purchase and after that reenter the sale with correct number of units.

    Ravi

  • Base unit of measure is different from Idoc to purchase order toSAP System.

    Hi Gurs,
vendor send a purchase order for confirmation through EDI, the base unit of measure in the Idoc is PA( Parcel). For this same material the unit of measure in R/3 system is PC.( Piece). I got a error on this.I checked in CUNI, In Unit of measurement ST (PC) is already assigned to  unit PCE in EDI. But i dont want to change the  Conversion.I need this also and I want to create a new conversion ST(PC) is assign to PA( Parcel).
    Please help in this.
Is it possible to maitainthe ISO-code PA into table Units of Measurement of Dimension?
Edited by: Vadivel Karalam on Nov 1, 2010 1:13 PM

    Hi,
You are getting the error because as part of the std ( For ALE/EDI) the unit of measurement that is maintained is PC whereas if you look at another unit of measure that you have mentioned, the std doesn't define anything under the ALE/EDI setup.
Because of that all the conversions are coming with PC. So pls goto general settings and check unit of measure menu. There for each of your units, there is a section for ALE/EDI, set up the relevant UoM and the issue should get resolved.
    Hope it helps.
