Purchase groups question org-structure

Hi All,
One of our buyer left the company and now we want to remove him from the drop-down list of the purchase groups which one gets in SC basic data tab.
For this, I was trying to remove the flag for this buyer as pur.grp in PPOMA_BBP, but before I carry out this step, I wanted to ask you experts, if this has any after affects. (by the way the org and prod- responsibilities from this buyer are already assigned to another buyer).
Thanks.

Hi Rahul,
Pls elaborate on the business scenario u have mappened in SRM.
If you are using the same buyer for processing of documents other than SC (like PO, contract, Bid Inv. where we mainatin Pur grp) in SRM, you will have to keep the buyer in SRM organizational structure. Otherwise for processing of these open documents you will face some error.
If its only SC creation scenario in your case, you can remove the Pur Grp flag for that user.

Prashant

  • Question Org Structure

    Hi Experts,
I have created hierarchy by using ppoca in SRM and when i checked in the pposa_bbp it looks pretty fine.
But all org units were formed with object id's and BP numbers are not created. How to get the BP number generated for these Org units.I am aware of the process of getting hierachy plus org units and positions from ECC to SRM by PFAL.
But in the sandbox i dont have ALE/IDOCS configuration and i have only one user id.Kindly provide me solution.

    Naveen.

    HI,
When you created the organisation sturcture you may have missed out on entering the address and email id for each units and hence the BP is not created.
Now you will have to delete the entire structure and recreate it.

  • Same Purchasing group assigment to multiple Purchasing Org

    Dear all,
I am facing an issue in SRM 5.0 in Classic Scenario.
In R/3 the freedom exist to assign independently the Purchasing Organization and the Purchasing Group to a PREQ or PO.
Then the following lists have been created:
    <u>PurchORG</u>:
    - PORG1: Porg of country 1
    - PORG2: Porg of country 2
    <u>and PurchGROUP</u>
    - PGRP1: Pgrp Office sup
    - PGRP2: Pgrp IT
and then I want to be able to use all the following combinations:
    PORG1-PGRP1
    PORG1-PGRP2
    PORG2-PGRP1
    PORG2-PGRP2
To do that I create in my Organization Plan the following:
    - PORG1
         -PGRP11
         -PGRP12
    - PORG2
         -PGRP21
         -PGRP22
However as I am in Classical Scenario I need to link the OrgPlan Pgrp to the coresponding in R/3
    - PORG1
         -PGRP11 >PGRP1
         -PGRP12 >PGRP2
    - PORG2
         -PGRP21 >PGRP1 : Error Purchasing group ... in system ... already assigned to ... (message BBP_ATTR 030)
         -PGRP22
    1) I have read somewhere but I can not find it anymore that the system messages can be updated to avoid this error and to allow that functionality. Has somebody done it? Where is it? I am correct?
    2) Otherwise do you have an option to do it?
How must I create my Org Plan as I suppose all Porg and PGrp must exist once in Org Plan.
Then must I use the BADI BBP_PGRP_FIND with Determine Responsible Purchasing Group(s) BADI BBP_PGRP_FIND.  Can you explain how, or provide piece of code.
I looked in doculentation but I don't see clearly the difference between the 2 exit objects (they seem duplicate for me):
    - ES_PURCH_DATA - This output structure should contain the object type and the object ID of the default purchasing group and the higher-level purchasing organization. If you are dealing with a backend purchasing group (purchasing organization), then you must also define the corresponding backend IDs.
    - ET_PURCH_DATA - This output table passes the list of all responsible purchasing groups and their higher-level purchasing organizations. A table line is formed corresponding to structure ES_PURCH_DATA.
    Thanks in advance

Re: Purchasing group from external requirements
Re: Sample code for BADI implementation
Every purchaser will be assigned to the relevant purchasing groups in Organization structure and purchasing groups have the product responsibility (product category) and person/organization responsiblility assigned in the 'Responsibility' tab. I think this should be sufficient to get the linkage.
Re: "Proc_Group" assignment to shopping cart  from transferred requisitions
Using BAdI BBP_PGRP_FIND for purch.group determination
    Use Function Module -> BBP_OM_READ_PURCH_ORG_ID
Give Logical system and Purchasing group to this FM.
    It will give you
    ES_PURCH_ORG-OT
    ES_PURCH_ORG-OBJID
Use this info in table HRP1000(Infotype 1000 DB Table) to get the value of text.
    Function module - BBP_OM_DETERMINE_RESP_PGRP
The purchaing groups are responsible for product catrgories (material group) and not material numbers. If you use "describe requirement" to create a shopping cart, the purchasing group will default from this responsibilty of product categorty and not material number.
Also the purchasing group can default on other criterias like the organizational responsibility and so on....
Inorder to determine the reponsible purchase organization for creating shopping carts for all product categories, this task can be accomplished by implemeting the badi BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI. here you have to write some logic to change the purchasing organization based on product category. In the purchasing cycle Purchase Organization is not responsible to procure the product, Purchase Group is responsible for the same. In the Organization structure after defining Purchasing organization, you might have define Purchase Group also in the purcase group RESPONSIBLE TAB you have to define the PRODUCT CATAGORY to be procure by this Purchase group.
    Do let me know.

  • Questions regarding HR Org Structure replication from ECC to SRM

    Hi Experts ,
    We have SRM7.0 ( SP08) with ECC6 ( Ehp4) having Classic Scenario .
I managed to replicate entire  HR Org Structure  from ECC system to SRM system.  I replicated O (Organization), S( Postion) and P ( Person), which successfully created O, S and CP in SRM with BP for O and US...Refered Note 934372, 312090, 550055 and help link on SDN./wiki.....etc
Now I have below questions in mind.
    1. In SRM we requiers Org unit for Company Code, Purchase Organization and Purchase Group...which we set  in FUNCTION tab for the requiered Org Unit with Checkbox and value of it and Logical system.....but in HR Org strcuture we do not have such Org Unit....so how to manage/create such these Org Units ( i.e.Company Code, Purchase Organization and Purchase Group ) ?...
Do I need to create these Org unit manually in SRM in PPOSA_BBP ? If yes, can I create these Org Unit above or between these replicated HR Org Units  or I need to created it separtly in paralllel to these HR replicated Org Units?
    2. If above I do, then what will impact on the delta /change replication from HR integraion ?
    3. In ECC HR org Structure there are hundres of employee, out of that I just wanted to send the Postion ( we have postion based security  in HR) whom only SRM Role had assigned . How it can be acheived ?
    Will appricaite detail reply/suggestions

Determination of connections to object 'BP' of 'CP' '00000015' failed

I checked all this as per Note 550055, 934372..etc....checked respetcive setting in table T77S0...I checked address alos....but no any clue......IDoC in SRM posting sucessfully....

  • SRM Purchasing Org Structure

    Hi,
I'm in ECC 6.0 with SRM Server 5.5 as an add-on. I need some help in the area of Organization Structure.
    1. In SRM config (PPOMA_BBP)I defined a Org Node for Company code. Then assigned it to a company. Then I defined a Purch. Org and attached a Purchasing Org (MM) to it. Then I defined a Purchasing Group and attached it to a Purchasing Group (MM). All these 3 entitities are defined as Org Unit (type 'O'). Then I link HR Purchaser to SRM purchasing group by relation 'is purchaser of'.
    Am I correct?
Business partner is automatically created for Purchasing Org but it did not get created for Company and Purchasing Group. Is it correct?
I could not see the shopping cart. So I did a debug and findout that SRM is trying to find a Business Partner (BP) for the Purchasing Dept (Org Structure in HR).
So can anybody throw some light into this Organization Structure stuff?
    Thanks

So you mean one company code will have one Pur. Org.
Every Plant will have 3 pur groups.
As I told there are 150 cost centers. Each VP will have  min. 15 max .. 60 cost centers with him ...controlled by him.
Should I assign users  by plant, Pur group  or all under one Company OR cost center wise.
    Pl. suggest

  • No Purchasing Group is assigned to Org plan attributes

    Hi,
When the user is creating a SC he is getting the following error "No Purchasing Group is assigned to Org plan attributes".I have checked the users Org structure in PPOMA_BBP,But everything looks fine.
    Any inputs  will be appreaciated!!
    Thanks

    Hi
product category are directly related to purchase group. depends upon the settings in the organisation structure , the system determines which purchase group is responsible for procuring this product category.
so back track your product category and purchase group link and this purchase group is made a link with purchase organisation. since product category responsiblity is a mandatory in srm.
Can you update here . where your user was positioned in org structure?
hope that you made a link between purch organ with purchase group?
    po1
      --> pg1
and moreover check following settings. are you try to procure via describe (spl request)?
Purchase group - responsibilty tab what are the product category you mentioned?
have you maintain Organisation responsibility under the responsibility tab?.
    still you find difficulty ?

  • Assign a user ID (purchaser) to multiple position in org structure

    Hello,
    We have SRM ECS 5.0.
We would like that the buyers can be assigned to multiple purchasing groups in order they can view all the SC related to those purchasing groups in the Worklist of the sourcing cockpit.
    Is it possible ?
I'm able to assign the user ID to several position created under the purchasing groups in the organizational structure, but then when I log on to the webUI, in the sourcing cockpit I can only see the SC from 1 purchasing group in the Worklist tab.
    For example:
user buyer1 is assigned to position "purchasing group 1 position" and to "purchasing group 2 position" in the org structure.
First he was created under "purchasing group 1 position", then I added the user to the position "purchasing group 2 position".
When I log on to the system with this user, in the sourcing cockpit, in the worklist tab, I can only see SC for purchasing group 1.
    Thanks for your help.
    Marc

    Hi Marc,
SRM does not allow one particular purchaser assigned to multiple purchasing groups at the same time. It is like you cannot ride two horses at the same time.
However, you can follow the below workaround if you want a particular purchaser to do buying for multiple purchase organizations.
first, let assign the buyer 1 to purchasing group 1 (which is inturn assigned to purchase organization 1). Now, in order to enable the buyer to do purchasing for purchasing group 2 (which is inturn assigned to Purchasing organization 2) and purchasing group 3 (which is in turn assigned to Purchasing Orgaization 3), you can follow the below steps:
    1. Go to the responsibilities tab of the purchasing group 1.
    2. Assign the purchasing organization 1 first in the org unit table.
    3. Then, assign the purchasing orgaization 2 and and 3 in the org unit tab.
Now, the purchaser will be able to see  shopping cart or purchase order for his own Purchase organization as well as purchase org 2 and 3.
I hope, it helps you to meet the requirement.
    Thanks and regards,
    Ranjan

  • Purchase org & purchasing group

    Hi,
How can we create a pur org at enterprise level ?
If we create a purch org at plant level, is it necessary to assign that purch org to the company code ?
is it necessary to assign purchasing group to the purchase org ?
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi
check help provided by SAP on P org.
    which will clear ur doubt
From the Materials Management and Purchasing view, the <b>purchasing organization</b> is responsible for all purchasing activities (including the processing of requests for quotations and purchase orders, for example).
The purchasing organization is integrated within the organizational structure as follows:
A purchasing organization can be assigned to several company codes.
    (= <b>Corporate-group-wide purchasing</b>).
A purchasing organization can be assigned to one company code.
    (= <b>Company-specific purchasing</b>).
A purchasing organization can also exist without being assigned to a company code.
Since each plant must be assigned to a company code, the latter can be determined via the plant at the time of each procurement transaction even if the procuring purchasing organization has not been assigned to a company code.
A purchasing organization must be assigned to one or more plants.
    (= Plant-specific purchasing).
A purchasing organization can be linked to one or more other purchasing organizations.
    (= reference purchasing organization)
For more on this topic, refer toAssign Purchasing Organization to Reference Purchasing Organization.
A purchasing organization can be divided into several purchasing groups that are responsible for different operational areas.
Each purchasing organization has its own info records and conditions for pricing.
Each purchasing organization has its own vendor master data.
Each purchasing organization evaluates its own vendors using MM Vendor Evaluation.
Authorizations for processing purchasing transactions can be assigned to each purchasing organization.
All items of an external purchasing document, that is, request for quotation, purchase order, contract, or scheduling agreement, belong to a purchasing organization.
The purchasing organization is the highest level of aggregation (after the organizational unit "client") for purchasing statistics.
The purchasing organization serves as the selection criterion for lists of all purchasing documents.
    Possible organizational forms
You can organize your purchasing function in the following ways:
    Corporate-group-wide purchasing
    Company-specific purchasing
    Plant-specific purchasing
All of these forms can co-exist within a single client.
    Corporate-group-wide purchasing:
A purchasing organization is responsible for the purchasing activities of different company codes.
In this case, you do not assign a company code to the purchasing organization, but specify the company code concerned for each individual purchasing transaction. You assign plants from different company codes to the purchasing organization.
    Company-specific purchasing:
A purchasing organization is responsible for the purchasing activities of just one company code.
In this case, you assign a company code to the purchasing organization. The purchasing organization may procure only for this company code. You assign only plants of the company code concerned to the purchasing organization.
    Plant-specific purchasing:
A purchasing organization is responsible for the purchasing activities of one plant.
In this case, you assign the plant and the company code of the plant to the purchasing organization. The purchasing organization may procure for this plant only.
    Note
If you wish to work with a mixture of the above organizational forms, the reference purchasing organization is of significance to you.
It is possible to allow one purchasing organization to access the contracts and conditions of another - a so-called reference purchasing organization. This makes it possible for advantageous terms negotiated by one purchasing organization to also be used by other purchasing organizations.

  • ORG UNIT to Purchasing group

    Dear Experts,
Please help on the following issue
We are unable to fetch the function details from PPOSA_BBP t-code.
for example we have an orgunit  say '00000002' and for them in the details section under Functions tab we need to read the Local purchasing group and ID.
I have also attached the screen shot like which data we are trying to read in our BADI.
Please let us know any function module or DB to get the required associated values

    Hi Balajisha,
If I get you correctly, your want to replace your purchasing group, with the Head of the Org unit.
So in that case for the User, under the Details, the checkbox, "Head of Organizational Unit" should be checked.
Now what you can do is, fetch the user who is assigned as head of the org unit using the FM " BBP_OM_STRUC_GET_MGR_FROM_ORG", here you will get the ID of head of the Org unit under et_manager_id. (Checkbox Head of Organizational Unit" should be checked for the User)
You can use this ID, as the username and use the FM "BBP_READ_ATTRIBUTES".
Not sure, whether this will work, but you can give it a try.

    Aakash Awasthi

  • Purchasing Group Basic Question

    Gurus,
I have a some basic question in EBP................
    1. Creating PO is Purchasing Group is mantatory.
    2. Classic Scenario - If i create Shopping Cart for local Purchasing group. PO can create without error in backend(R/3).
    3. Extended Classic Scenario - If i create Shopping Cart for local Purchasing group. PO Copy can create without error in backend(R/3).
    Thanks

    Hello,
R/3 needs always a purchasing group to create the PO.
    1. Creating PO is Purchasing Group is mantatory.
    Yes
    2. Classic Scenario - If i create Shopping Cart for local Purchasing group. PO can create without error in backend(R/3).
I think that you need the purchasing group.
Check crmd_orderadm_h table and BBP_PD transaction
    3. Extended Classic Scenario - If i create Shopping Cart for local Purchasing group. PO Copy can create without error in backend(R/3).
I have not experience in Extended Classic Scenario. I know that PO can not be canges in R/3.
Keep in mind that for R/3 the purchasing group is a mandatory field.
    Hope it will help!
    Cheers,

  • Determine  Org id with purchasing group

    Hello,
Is there any FM to get the org id with purchasing group.
    Regards,
    Neelima

You didn't mention what you have as input in order to get the org id. But in any case, try FM BBP_OM_STRUC_GET_ORG_FROM_ORG. It gives you the parent org unit ID of an org unit.

  • Org structure and import purchase procedure

    hi,
    Can anybody clarify the scenerio?
company is importing the raw materials from overseas at Kolkata,Mumbai and Chennai  port .From the port the material will be distributed to different mfg plants across India. The procurement is happening only from Head Office which is in Mumbai.
How the organisational structure can be configured for this process?
Also can anyone explain the detail process of Import purchase?
       Thanks in advance,
    abimanyu

    Hi
You have to define the org structure as ur req with multiple plants
Now u can do the imports and transfer the material from docks to the desired plant
while creating the po in ur HO u have to give delivery add of ur plant
    IMPORT PROCESS
in ur pricing u have to create following
    JCDB IN: Basic Custom Duty
    JCV1 IN : CVD
JECV IN : Ed Cess on CVD
    J1CV IN : H&SECess on CVD
JEDB IN : Ed Cess on BCD
JSDB IN : H&SECess on BCD
    JADC Additional Duty of Custom
JCV1, JECV, J1CV and JADC will go to Excise MODVAT Accounts and JCDB, JEDB and JSDB will get loaded on inventory.
    In M/06, for all above conditions, keep following controls;
Cond. class A (Discount or surcharge) Plus/minus A (Positive)
    Calculat.type A (Percentage)
    Cond.category B (Delivery costs)
    Activate "Currency Conversion" and "Accrual"
    now for setoff
maintain the following conditions in excise default settings.
    JCV1, JECV, JADC
    path: spro>logistic general >tax on goods movements>india >basic settings>determination of excise duty >maintain excise defaults >
along with ur tax procedure maintain these conditions in the specified fields
    JCV1 in CVD condition field.
    JECV in ECS conditon field.
    JADC in ACD conditon field.
in case of secess on CVD, no need to maintain.
it is hardcodded in the standard
Vendor in GR 2 (Entry always possible)
    Import scenario
1.Create material master of import goods.
2.Create vendor master record of import vendor and Customs clearing vendor.
    3.Maintain CIN settings.
    4.Maintain J1id.
5.Maintain Pricing procedure SAP standard JIMPOR..,maintain required conditions..JCDB,JCV1...
6.Assign the schema to respective import vendor in Purchasing view of VMR.
7.Create import PO ,check in conditions of JCDB, JCV1 the customs clearing vendor(Indian vendor) and percentage is assigned..This can be done by In condition tab select condtion then click on display, then enter.
    Save the PO.
