Purchase Requisition Origin

Hello,
Is there any table or transaction which indicates the origin of a purchase requisition?
Table EBAN provides the relation between purchase requisition & purchase order, but I couldn't localize the original requirement (ex. sales order, safety stock etc...)
Thanks in advance for your feedback

this is the third time in 2 weeks that this question is asked.

  • Purchase Requisition with wrong details - Sending back to Originator

    Hi Experts,
In SAP Purchase Requisition contents found incorrect on the stand of technical specification then buyer do not have provision to send back it through SAP to the originator (Design department) for correction.
At present buyer are resolving such issues on the basis of Email. Till the time PR get corrected by originator it shows pending for action on buyer’s a/c .
Hence considering above facts request to suggest us the method for sending the Incorrect PR line items to the originator through SAP.

    Hi,
Configure release strategy for PO at item level along with workflow. The release code can be the buyer and once the buyer found any error in the technical specification, he can reject the release, which will notify the creator.

  • How to change line type on EAM Purchase Requisitions

When an EAM Work Order is released, we get Purchase Requisitions with the Line Type as the Purchasing Options default. This can be changed on the req but there is no option to select the req line type on the EAM Work Order page.
There's a Line Type field on the EAM Work Order page but it's different from the Requisition Line Type.
Just wondering what are our options to give users the ability to select req line type from EAM Work Order page. We know personalization is an option but we'd need to add a brand new field and even if we do, we are unsure that ReqImport will actually use this new field.
Workflow extensions could also be a solution and was hoping that someone out there would have some tips and tricks to share.

I think the only way is to:
    1) read the address data from Matrix 178 and keep the data in your Add-On
    2) delete the original address (activate the menu item (ID = 1293) or send Ctrl-K via Application.SendKeys)
    3) "click" on "Define new"
    4) and enter the data you have read in 1) into the cells of Matrix 178 again...

  • PO creation with reference to Purchase Requisition

    Hello,
Is anyone aware of a control in SAP that allows for a warning message  when you create one or more PO's form the same requisition and the total quantity on the PO(s) is over the quantity on the original purchase requisition?
Also can BAPI be used to check the same?
For example if I am creating PO using BAPI_PO_CREATE1 with reference to Requisition created.
Can I check for errors using BAPI for PO creation in TESTRUN mode for quantity exceeded, different REQ types mixed in one PO and delivery date in PO match REQ?
Any thoughts here would be appreciated.

  • Questions on Rules-Based ATP and Purchase Requisitions for STOs

    Hello experts,
We are working on rules-based ATP configuration and have several questions about the functionality.  Iu2019m hoping that some of you are using this functionality and can help give us direction.
In our environment we have multiple distribution centers and multiple manufacturing plants.  We want to confirm sales orders against stock and production orders in any of those plants, depending on the locations that have stock or planned production.  For example, we will place a sales order against plant A.  If there is not enough stock in plant A then rules-based ATP will use location determination to check in plant B, then C.  The scope of check on the ATP check will include stock and released production orders.  We will configure plant A as the u201Cconsolidation locationu201D so if stock is found in plants B or C then stock transport orders will automatically be created to move the stock to plant A before shipping to the customer.
We have configured rules-based ATP and this functionality is working well in our Development system.  The ATP check is executed and uses the rules-based ATP to find eligible stock in other plants.  The system is also creating purchase requisitions to move the stock to the consolidation plant.
Our first concern is that there doesnu2019t appear to be any firm linkage between the sales order and the resulting purchase requisition.  For example, if we create sales order 123 for plant A and the rules-based ATP finds stock in plant B it automatically creates a purchase requisition 987 to move the stock from plant B to plant A.  However, there doesnu2019t appear to be a linkage between sales order 123 and purchase requisition 987.  For instance, if we delete sales order 123 the purchase requisition doesnu2019t get deleted.
Our second concern is that the quantity on the purchase requisition can still be confirmed against later sales orders.  For example, say the above scenario resulted in a purchase requisition 987 that consumed all the stock available in plant B.  We then create a second sales order 456 for the same product.  Plant A is out of stock so the rules-based ATP looks in plant B.  We would expect that plant B would also not have any stock because itu2019s all been consumed by the purchase requisition.  Instead, the system creates a second purchase requisition to move quantity from plant B to plant A.  Itu2019s as if the system doesnu2019t realize that the purchase requisition 987 is already planning to move stock out of plant B.
Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on these two scenarios?  Is there a way to configure the system so there is a hard linkage between the sales order and the purchase requisition so that if the sales order is deleted then the purchase requisition is also deleted?  Should ATP realize that purchase orders are consuming inventory and not allow later sales orders to confirm against that same inventory?  Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
The scheduling is done in SCM, and from there, whenever the RBA is triggered, the calculation is done always with the old route in SCM. Until you get back to R/3 this is when your route is determined. But the ATP check is always with the original route. So the idea would be that you change the values of the route while still in APO, this is possible via the user exit. Should be done in scheduling in APO.
    Hope this information is helpful.

  • Unloading point and Goods recipient in Purchase Requisition

    Hi,
I have a requirement to update Good Recipient and Unloading point in Purchase requisition.
I am using BAdI ME_PROCESS_REQ_CUST and PROCESS_ACCOUNT Method.
in PROCESS_ACCOUNT method I am using IM_ACCOUNT_REF and GET_DATA and SET_DATA methods. and this is working fine for me.
I need your help in resolving below problem.
If Purchase already planned with some Materials by an individual, is now added more Materials by another individual, the system should assign the values of the Goods Recipient  and Unloading Point of the second individual to the Material items in the document. The Goods Recipient and Unloading Point values of the existing Material items in the document should remain unchanged, unless these values are specifically changed by the user editing the document or the Material number of the original item has been changed by the user, following which the Goods Recipient  and Unloading Point values of the current user should be adopted instead, overwriting the existing values.
GET_DATA and SET_DATA methods does not have the inforamtion Material number filed.
    I have also checked GET_PERSISTANT_DATA and GET_PREVIOUS_DATA.
Please let me know which BAdI and method i can use to cater this requirement. or any Enhancement points.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,
Reason for not getting populated these fields from PR to PO
through ME59N or ME21N is because in general, in case of service
environment, these are not available as explained in attached
note 118008. Their role is taken by the so-called user fields
since release 4.0 which are declared as text fields and play
    a purely informative role only....
These two fields have never been included into the standard
functionalities due to the basic business process which does not
include these fields for service transactions/functionalities.
The fields "unloading point" and "Goods recipient" are not available
    for services in R/3.
    >>The same functionality exists for blanket pos.<<<
One reason for this is that the account-assignment screen is filled
by the user on sub-item level. The system aggregates this information
to item level. This is not possible for the unloading point and goods
recipient, because there can be several unloading points / goods re-
cipients for one purchase/requisition order item.
This functionality won't be available in standard R/3.

  • Purchase requisition- Mat. description problem.

    Hi Experts,
I am stuck with one problem regarding Purchase requisition material description. The scenario is as follows.
We have two types of PR creation. With or without material code.
Material description is set to display only. But if the user enters the material code and random description and then press Enter button then the system doesnt pick the description from MAKT and keep the random description and disabling it for input. As shown in below screen shot.
I want to restrict this, So I used the enhancement - MEREQ001 in CMOD and exit - EXIT_SAPLMEREQ_010  and INCLUDE ZXM02U12 , to compare the material description and change it to master data from table MAKT. But the problem here is the original PR data fetched in to the exit is not changing. I have written below code.
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    LOOP AT im_t_eban INTO l_s_eban.
    IF l_s_eban-matnr <> ''.
SELECT SINGLE maktx FROM makt INTO mde
              WHERE matnr = l_s_eban-matnr.
              IF mde <> l_s_eban-txz01 .
                MESSAGE w007(zm_msg) . " DISPLAY LIKE 'E'.
                l_s_eban-txz01 = mde.
MODIFY im_t_eban FROM l_s_eban TRANSPORTING txz01. " THIS LINE IS GIVING SYNTAX ERROR THAT im_t_eban is not changeable
              ENDIF.
          ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
So how to solve this problem??
Or is there any other way to restrict the user to change the material description ??
    Thanks,
    Vishal .

  • Archiving Purchase Requisitions - MM_EBAN

    Hello All,
My name is Charlie Azzopardi. I am the SAP/Oracle DBA at Parmalat Canada. I have been
charged with the responsibility of managing our SAP Data Archiving project. I have had
no formal training on the data archiving side of things. I have been researching this
on and off for the last couple of years and we are now ready to start archiving a
couple of objects. These being MM_EBAN and MM_EKKO.
We have purchase requisitions and purchase orders, which we would like to archive.
They date back to the beginning of 2003.
How would we write an auto-close program for these and get around the "date changed"
being changed to the current date ?
Please bear in mind I am not an abap programmer.
    For example:
If I ran an auto-close program today, the "date changed" field would contain today's date.
Today's date does not fall within my residence time criteria for purchase orders or purchase requisitions.
Thus, they would not be selected for archiving.
How do I get around this ?
Would you be able to provide an example of a program which would allow us to get past this ?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hello,
With this message i understand that, there are higher percentage of PR's and PO's that are old and still open so now you want to close and archive those documents. Due to this reason you are looking for Auto-Close program?
    Suggestion:
Even after setting last change date for today still you can archive by changing Residence Time1 and Residence Time 2 = 0.
If this is a one time activity then during System Quite period you can do changes in Residence time1 & 2 =0 and Run the Archiving job and later bring back customizing to the original settings.
If you have not got the right answer then revert back with reason why you are looking for Auto-close program.
I can suggest you some workaround activities.
    -Thanks,
    Ajay

Difference between DMS and GOS attachement
    GOS Attachment list:
This attachment list can be found for nearly all object (document info record, material master,euqipments,...) and allows you to add specific files to the object and store them by archivelink technique.
    Original tab in DMS:
This area is something DMS specific and allows you to store original files to the document info records. This original files are normally stored in a content server and from DMS point of view you will have more functionalities as when you add the files to the attachment list.
How to create DMS attachment master?

  • Purchase requisition (msg error)

    hi
during the inception of the purchase requisition, and Once I click ENTRE after going to enter the material code. SAP displays the following message :
""Conflicts in screen size; for more information, see the note SAP 570861""
    what this means ?
    best regards

    hi,
    release note:
    Summary
    Symptom
Elements in subscreens are only partly displayed or cannot be scrolled correctly.
    NetWeaver Business Client
In the NetWeaver Business Client, as a result of the warning dialog, the system displays the following dialog:
    "Server Busy.
This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose #Switch To# to activate the busy program..."
You are unable to avoid the second dialog. Simply choose "Switch To" and close the original warning dialog. Since the warning dialog and the second dialog are not displayed in the customer system, this is not really problematic.
    Other terms
    Resize
    Reason and Prerequisites
These types of errors may be due to conflicts in size between subscreens and their elements.
    Solution
This is an ABAP application error that must be corrected by the application programmer responsible for ABAP. The easiest way to find the application component that is responsible is as follows:
After you reach the screen that contains the error, choose the "System/Status..." menu option. Then double-click the transaction name in the "Transaction" field. On the next screen, choose the "Goto/Object directory entry" menu option. Double-click the package to display the application component that is responsible.
    Background information:
As of patch 22 (Version 2766 of sapfront.dll) for the 620 GUI and subsequent versions of SAP GUI for Windows, the size of subscreens and their elements is checked at the front end. If conflicts occur, they are logged in an error log file (for example, sapfewdll_XX_XXXX_XX_XXXX.err.trc) in \SapWorkDir (Note 360504). A dialog box referring to the conflicts may appear before the incorrect screen is displayed. The display of this dialog box can be activated or deactivated in the front-end options (Options (Alt+F12) -> Options -> Activate Dialog Window for Screen Size Check##).
As of patch level 39 of the SAP GUI for Windows 6.20 and subsequent versions of SAP GUI for Windows, customers can only activate or deactivate this check (size checking) by modifying the registry. If the entry "CheckDynproSize" under
    \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP\SAPGUI Front\SAP Frontend Server\ Customize\
is filled with the value 1 (DWORD), it is activated, and if the value is 0, it is deactivated. You have to create the entry if it does not exist.
The error log file should be forwarded to the development department of the ABAP program in question so that the error can be eliminated.
You can use Note 324687 to display the subscreen borders. You can use transaction ST20 to analyze and display the screen trace recording. For example: For information about analyzing the subscreen call hierarchy (subscreen tree), see Note 365940.
If a checkbox is the last element on the right of a subscreen or step loop, you can ignore this error message.
    hope this may help you,
    Regards,
    Srinivas

  • Reset Of Purchase Requisition Release Strategy

    Dear Peers,
Release strategy for PR at header level is defined (Overall Release). If we make any changes or add another line item to the same PR, the release strategy is required to get reset to unreleased state. But this is not happening.
Same for PO is valid & working ok
    Please suggest
    Mayank

Read this -- With the Changeability indicator, you specify the effects of
changes to a requisition. For example, certain changes may require
a new release strategy to be determined for the requisition.
Via the Value change field, you can cause the release strategy to
be re-started if the value of a purchase requisition item is
increased by more than a certain percentage (e.g. 10%). To do so,
set the Changeability indicator to "4 - Changeable, new release in
case of new strategy or value change" and enter a percentage in the
    Value change field.
    <b>
The release stra can be reset in one case only and that is whenever you change the reqs which changes teh value of reqs then system will reset the release back to original statu and to do that you have to set the changebility indicatior to 4 and changes 0.1 that means whenever req change and value is changes to .1 % then ystem will reset the req to relase again </b>

  • Is it possible to define a seperate number range for purchase requisitions

    Hi Experts,
Is it possible to define a seperate number range for purchase requisitions that come from Forecast vs normal MRP requisitions so that our purchasing department can identify the origin of the document?
    Thanks
    for the thoughts
    Sreeni

You'd need to figure out manually how forecast PR's are different from MRP PR's (the field from PR tables ) and then in the user exit I mentioned the program looks at the table T161 and field NUMKI, and if the PR getting created is from forecast change that NUMKI in the program to a different one else keep it as it is. If you're know abap programming it won't take long to figure out the logic else work with your developer to implement it.

    Hi
    Please check the copying rule:
    SPRO/Materials Mgmt/Purchasing/PR/Texts for PR.
In the copying rule, you may use the field "Fix" if you want to fix the text.
    Hope this helps.

  • FI MM integration with purchase requisition

    Hi,
For FI MM integration - acquire asset through MM - the process is -
    1) create asset master
    2) Purchase requisition
    3) PO
    4) Assign asset master to PO
    5)Goods receipt
It is difficult to create an asset master in advance, so the solution is to create purchase requisition without account assignment.
I would like to know whether this is possible. because once we select Account assignment category "A" system does not allow us to save the Purchase requisition.
