Push button to Open a container in Adobe form

Hi all,,
I placed a Button on Adode form, but when I click on theat button, I shold get a pop-up window. How can I get that.
I'm not using Webdynpro application. Only the normal adobeform executed by the Report.
I'm now to the Adobe form. What code should we write in Script Editor.

I'm workign on Generic Object Services.
When I click the button on Adobe form, it should open a window contianing the text or links.
I kept button on Adobe form, it displays but behaves like an immage.
How to Activate or work with button.
What should I write in Script Editor to act like a button and open a window.

Push Buttons in the custom Container

Hi
I have created one container using cl_gui_custom_container.
Now I have splitted the container into two parts as left and right using cl_gui_splitter_container.
Is there any way to create push buttons in the left container.

Pushbutton is an example of classic control while custom container is an example of GUI control . You can't mix controls of first type with the latter meaning you can embed classic control in GUI container. You can have such control only outside any container (on screen canvas). This is very common that you have docking container on the left and classic controls on the right side of the screen (not container)
To be able to have a button inside container, you will have to use cl_gui_toolbar class adding your options there and handling them as normal OO event. This way you only combine GUI controls (toolbar + container). Otherwise it is not possible.

Problem in opening layout editor in adobe forms

Hi,
There is a problem in opening the layout editor in adobe forms(T.code SFP).
Eventhough I have installed Adobe livecycle designer 8.0 and adobe acrobat reader 9.0.
It is showing the error as " The forms design tool for developing the form layout could not be started; either it is not installed or there are errors in the installation".
Suggest Me.

Access the adobe form data in the workflow container for further processin

HI,
I am using HCM processes and Forms. I need to access the form data in the workflow container once the workflow kicks off.
I need to access these data as would need it for further processing in the workflow.
I know that TS17900110 allows to import form conatiner to
-> WF Container in the field name and value pair. But I need to access a lot more fields than what is in the task. Is there a standard task which allow to retrieve all the fields in the form in one task or do I need to develope a custom class to do that. If so could you please provide some clue as in how to code this specific requirement as i am somewhat new to OO ABAP.

in the livecycle designer under libary tab u have webdynpro tab--->choose submit to sap button and place it in the adobe form ur designing. u can use this button to trigger the code that u have written in webdynpro java.
for eg if u have
a value node details
and under that two value attr fname,lname
import the model (Insertdata---it has two import param fname and lname)u need for updating the data to r3 system.
in the ctrller have a method submit.Here write the code to insert fname and lname into the db.

How To Sort the Table Through Push Buttons (ASC & Desc)???

Populate Default Dynamic Filename In Adobe Form (On Click of Save in Menu) - SAP

We have a scenario in which we want to populate the file name dynamically in Adobe form integrated in SAP Webdynpro.
Scenario -
A adobe form has been intergrated in the SAP webydnpro application which opens the form in Web Browser (IE).
There is a save button which is part of standard adobe form menu and on click of that save button (circled - 1 in image ) the name of the form ( i.e techincal name of adobe form created in SAP {ZTESTSS} ( circled - 2 in image ) appears.
We want to change the default name to (employee_date_time ) on click of save.
We have found a approch by using the folder level javascripts (http://forums.adobe.com/message/2266799#2266799%232266799).
In case we use folder level scripts "where should we write the JavaScript code in the Adobe Form to trrigger the this script on click of Save Button (in the menu)?"
Also is there any other apporch which does not require folder level javascript as its a security issue also we need to maintain in all the user systems.
Please let me know the approch to address the issue.

Hi,
you can't change the behavior of the save button in the browser nor in Reader/Acrobat.
You can add a custom button within your form which calls a custom script from a folder level script using the browserForDoc method.
The browseForDoc methos is the only one whcih can change the name in the saveAs dialog.
Here's an example., you can run from Acrobat console.
You need to combine it with the solution from the other thread to make it work with your form.

Hi ,
Adobe form is just an external media in your case , it has nothing to do with your data.
Check what data is getting passed to adobe form via debuging .
check if your getting the selected element .
You can also post your code here if possible.

this doesn't sound like an adobe issue. you need to set a breakpoint and check which record you're really passing to your interface

Adobe Form Email Issue

I have created an Adobe form that has 4 Submit buttons:

(each button is different, of course)
Anyways, when you click on any of the buttons, a box appears to Select Email Client:
Option 1: Desktop Email Application (Choose this option if you currently use an email application such as Microsoft Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, Eudora, or Mail.)
Option 2: Internet Email (Choose this option if you currently use an Internet email service such as Yahoo or Microsoft Hotmail. You will then need to save your form and return it manually to [email protected] using your Internet email service.)
I work for a company who utilizes Microsoft Outlook, so I choose Option 1 and click OK and nothing happens. I have used this type of button and form before and the button worked properly - opened a new message in Outlook with the To field and the subject field prepopulated with the information set during design of the form and the form attached as a PDF.
Any suggestions on what I could do next or try to correct this issue because I am not the only one having this problem and the whole company I work for uses this form and it needs to be fixed soon!?!?

This has very little to do with Acrobat and very much to do with how email is activated
This is discussed OFTEN over on the Dreamweaver forum, where people make an HTML form with an email submit button... and are not happy when anyone who does not use the right kind of email program is not able to use the form... such as any of the "free" email clients like Yahoo
The usual solution over there (I don't have details, the only user submission form I work with is in a controlled company environment, where everyone MUST use the approved email client) is to set up a server based solution with your own software on the server, so clicking the submit button activates YOUR software, not whatever is on the user's computer

How to insert Adobe Form Data in the SAP backend?

I am very new to Adobe Forms. I am supposed to come up with a working scenario of inserting few form fields into the SAP backend. Is this done through a BAPI call? Or is there any other way for this to achieve?
I have downloaded trial version of Adobe LifeCycle Designer. But I don't know how to integrate this with the SAP system. Is there anything else that I need to install in my system?
Is there a document on how to configure all the installations for both local machine and the server (if any)?
Please help.....

Executing a WebService in Online Adobe Form

Hi All,
I am facing an issue while executing the webservice from an application developed inWDJava, that contains an Adobe Form. This Adobe Form is required to execute webservice, and this form has 2 input fields say First Name & last name. When i fill in the first name and last name fields in the application itself and attempt to execute the webservice, i don't get my response fields back.
But in case i download my form from that WDJava online application, and then try to execute the service, i get back the results.
*I am using Adobe Designer: 8.0
Adobe Reader: 9.0*
Any pointers to this..??

Call the webservice, and use the call to fill up a variable. It will then drop the return value, be it a structure or whatever into your local variable. Like this :

ABAP WD application -Adobe form -Cache problem

Hi,
I have an WD application where -in user enters order number and clicks search button then it displays order as adobe form.
I am having problem with cache!
at first if there is a order which has all item data it displays that order properly but immediately if I try for an order which doesn'nt have any entries it brings up old order details.
how can we overcome this?

Hi Vara,
Try using Invalidate( ) method on the node which is binded to your adobe form.
lo_nd_nodename->invalidate( ).

How can I open a .pdf file in a browser on a click on a push button

I am using oracle 10g developer suit for form designing.
There is a .pdf file in the application server.
I want it to open it in a browser when a push button is clicked.
Could you please tell me how can I do that?
