PWM through NI RIO board

I have Labview Embedded Platform kit ( NI-RIO) board and want to generate pwm through a joystick, which is connected to my PC.
Through this PWM I have to control a servo motor.
Is this possible with NI evaluation kit that I have? Can I just connect a servo motor with a driver, to any of output port of RIO board?
help needed

Hi NapDynamite,
If your servo has a driver, you can connect the driver to any digital I/O of the kit, you will have 4 I/O available, and you can program the logic that your driver need in the board.

Any tip as to how to change the apple id for icloud and any idea how to know what apps i bought with the other apple id so as to delete them from my ipad to avoid being asked to enter another apple id every time they get updated? thanks!

  • Using FPGA and Labview without RIO board.

    Dear Sir
I am a student. I want to connect my own FPGA and make a program on labview and then transfer to FPGA.I do not want to buy RIO.Is it possible to work
    like that without purchasing RIO.
    Thanks a Regards

Yes NI supports programming FPGAs using LabVIEW without RIO boards I've been doing it for years and it works great.  Here are a few non-RIO products I've used LabVIEW FPGA with.
    PCI-E Version
    PXI Version
    USB Version
The PCIe and PXI cards you mentioned are specifically RIO.
But you managed to program a USB-6225 with LV FPGA?  I'm not even sure there is an FPGA on there to program.  It is an M series DAQ board.

  • Ni7842 FPGA RIO board loop rate

    Hi,
Is it possible to achieve a loop rate of 1us with the Ni7842 RIO board. It has an onboard clock of 40MHz. I have tried the following approaches to achieve a 1us loop rate and generate a single pulse of 1us duration, but wasn't successful.
1st approach: The above flat sequence was originally with 2 frames, I removed the second processing frame to reduce any possible processing delays and changed counter units to usec with a count of 1. This did not work, minimum pulse width I could generate was 1ms.
2nd approach: I changed counter units to ticks with a count of 40. This also was able to generate a min pulse width of 1ms only.
The AO channel is capable of 1MS/s update rate and with an onboard clock of 40Mhz you would think you can achieve 1us. Why is it being so difficult for me? Please help.
    Thanks,

  • How to play a wave file through the DAQ board?

    Hi there,
we want to play a wave file that is saved on the harddrive via the DAQ board. Means we want to connect a amp to the analog output of the DAQ to amplify the sound and play it through a speaker.
We couldn't find any VI that does that. Can anybody tell us how to play a wave file, or perhaps even send us a VI that can do that?
Thanks a lot for your help
    Martin - Physical Optics Corporation

    Hi Martin,
The only example that I could find on how to do this was using our
older Traditional DAQ drivers version 6.9.3.  If you're using Traditional
DAQ drivers, the vi can be found here.
The example reads a 8-bit mono .wav file (an example .wav file is included in the .zip file) and writes it to the analog out of your DAQ card.  I've updated the
example to work with our newer DAQmx drivers and attached it here.
    I hope this helps,
    Paul C.

  • Acquiring a sine wave of 1KHz riding on a DC and Detecting its peak value through compact rio

    Dear LabView Programmers,
We are trying to acquire a sine wave input through cRIO-9004 using I/O module cRIO-9215 which is a 16-bit ADC.
We are able to acquire sine wave below 100Hz faithfully but not higher frequencies, the higher frequencies(1Khz) get distorted. How to acquire this sine wave of 1Khz faithfully through the above mentioned hardware.
    Regards
    LabView Lovers

Using LabVIEW 8.0, you will need to place the data from the 9215 into a dmaFIFO buffer, such that you do not need to poll the 9215.  It is the polled or the interrupt process that reduces the sample rate.
    Hope this helps.

  • No sound coming through sound board with Adobe cs5.5

I nstalled adobe cs5.5 and im geeting no sound through my sound board

I'm afraid that before we can help you we'll need many more details:  Mac or PC, which version of the operating system, what type of sound card (I assume that's what you mean when you say "sound board", whether the lack of sound is on recording, playback, or both, exactly what happens when you try to record or playback, that sort of thing.
A couple of general notes:  Assuming you're on a Windows machine (if Mac, somebody else will have to help), go to the Windows sound controller and make sure you sound board is set up as the default device on both the recording and playback tabs.  Go to the Advanced tab and select the same sample rate and bit depth on both recording and playback.
Then go to Edit/Preferences/Audio Hardware in Audition.  Under Device Type, select MME or ASIO--if it's a built in sound card then it'll almost certainly be MME.  On the drop down menus, select your sound card (which should be an option) under both Default Input and Default Output.  Select your sound card output as the master clock.
Finally, set Audition to the same sample rate as you set on you Windows Audio control.
Anyhow, try the above--and we can get into more detail if you provide the extra info we requested.

  • Where is the output for PWM on NI 7774 connected to motion control card 7356

    Hi,
I have NI motion control card 7356 which interfaced through 7774 interface board. PWM outputs are written to be on pins 5 and 9 on Digital IO, yet there is no indication about the whereabouts of these PWMs on the interface board (7774). Would you please help???
Asst. Prof. Vasfi Emre Omurlu, Ph.D.

    Simitci,
For the digital I/Os a UMI-7774 provides access to 16 digital lines. If you want to access other signals of the digital connector, you shouldn't connect it to the UMI but to another breakout box like the SCB-68. Please note that compared to the UMI-7774 the SCB-68 doesn't provide optical isolation or 24 V connectivity. If this doesn't work for you, you could think of building a customized cable that connects the lines for the16 digital I/Os to the UMI and the rest of the signals to another connector or breakout box.
You also should be aware of the fact that the PWM outputs of 73xx boards are static. That means that you can change the duty cycle and output frequency of these signals in software only, which is quite slow. In most cases these PWM signals can't be used for motion control tasks.
What do you intend to do with the PWM signals?
    Thanks and kind regards,

  • Can't get CS6 pkg to install through Casper Remote

I'm sure this has been talked about in here, but I read through several message boards and it looks like I'm not getting the answer to it, but people are mentioning it in various areas.  Forgive me if this is a repeat question.
Can anyone get CS6 to install on to your user machines using Casper Remote?  I'm at a 80/20 % install rate.
We're a Macintosh office with everyone one either 10.6 or 10.7.  All meeting the spec and system requirements.  I'm using JAMF Spftwar, LLC Casper Remote v 8.31.
Here is what happens with us.
You choose the computers to install.
Choose the package to install (CS6)
Casper Remote launches and starts to install.
Looks great.  You can see the apps populate in the Application folder.  One after another.  Then when it gets to about 97% installed, it start to uninstall them one by one.  Then closes out and states this...
installer: The install failed (The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.)
    Unmounting file server...
    Submitting log to https://treasure.schawk.com:8443//...
    Finished.
Any ideas?  I have about 100 machines to install on within the next week.

Interesting that no one has responded. But now, here in September, I'm seeing the same problem with my CreativeCloud package created with CreativeCloudPackager.
    Still no ideas anyone?

  • Daughter's IPod Touch went through the washer!  Any hope?  What to do?

Her new IPod Touch went through the washer. Can anything be done to salvage it?

Do not turn it on. Put it in rice for 1 - 2 weeks. Take it out, and attempt to turn it on. If it says to plug it in, you can jump up and down. Plug it in, and charge it. If it works, yay!
Did you know, if the metal inside was a metal that didn't rust, and no electricity was going through the circut boards, you could wash your iPod as many times as you wanted. Just when you want to use it again, make sure it's dry.

  • P4m266 (MSI 6786 V2) On-Board VGA drivers don't work with SP2

I have a Pinnacle Micro system in the workshop which required a re-installation of the OS. The client no longer has the original installation CDs from Pinnacle and the local Pinnacle branch have declined to make a copy available to me. The mobo is an MSI 6787 Ver.2 with a Phoenix BIOS.
I installed Windows XP Home (no SP) and had no problems. I then used the CD supplied by Microsoft to install SP2. On rebooting the display was horrific. The OS automatically detected the VGA card as an S3 Graphics ProSavageDDR and installed the drivers. However it is virtually impossible to see anything on the screen, the colours are distorted and very faded. I tried to download updated drivers using the LiveUpdate feature but the first problem arose when it wanted to update the Phoenix BIOS with an AWARD BIOS...I quit in a hurry.
I have tried several drivers for this card. I browsed through the P4M266 boards until I found one which looked identical to the board I have in the workshop. However, it doesn't matter which version of driver I use none of them will give me a reasonable display.
Please can somebody tell me where I can find the correct drivers?

  • Suggestion for new M.Board

i'm thinking of upgrade my pc to Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 Processors (2.13GHz), but totaly no idea which mainboard to choose.
    i was consider this two...
     MSI P6N-SLI-F L775 Mothertboard
    P6N Diamond
    (SLi ready is optional)

I had a evga 680i board back in feb, it worked for a month then went through 2 bad boards they rma'd me, the 2 they sent both wouldn't post.  Had my fill of them and searched and searched and ended up choosing the p6n diamond.  Ordered it about 2 weeks ago and finally the store got one for me yesterday.  Gotta say the board seems to be put together very well, good instruction manual as well.  Put my machine back together last night and updated everything.  Board seems to be stable and running smooth.  Again great layout on the board and I like how the nb, sb coolers have a cooler on the edge of the board too.

  • Is there a keyboard shortcut to jump to art boards?

I have an extensive drawing that covers many art boards. In InDesign I can jump to a page number using a keyboard shortcut. Is there something similar in Illustrator CC where I can navigate backwards and forwards through the art boards and/or jump directly to an artboard by number?

Kurt, Yes Yes Yes, This works in CC also. On my MacBook Pro notebook with wireless small keyboard without page up page down keys, I use the fn (function) key, hold down shift and press the up and down arrows to cycle through the artboards. Wow, thank you so much for this as it is exactly what I wanted to do. But I must mention that Monika answered the second part of the question correctly also with the ability to 'jump' to a selected arboard by name. So, there is no way to award two with the correct answer, but you both deserve. I gave to you Kurt because you answered the first part of the question but you both deserve equally. CarlosCanto also chimed in with an edit I see now that mentions controls in the arboard panel that I have not explored yet. I thank each of you and you each deserve a huge amount of credit for coming up with the insights to navigation that are not readily available without doing some serious homework and having a good amount of experience also with Illustrator. My Sincere thanks to everyone who answered and commented on this topic.

  • PPro CS5 with Matrox RT.X2 board and software

This is on a 64 bit windows Vista Pro PC.
I would like to remove the board and un-install the Matrox software (Matrox effect patterns, Mx Tools and WYSIWYG plug-ins).
If I use the Windows ADD/REMOVE to do that will it affect my Premiere Pro CS5 in any way?
I understand that in doing this any video that used this software would no longer work, which is fine.

    Thanks for the response Jim.
I decided to byte the bullet and uninstalled Matrox and the RT.X2 board.
I had no bad effects on Premiere Pro other that the sound, due to the fact that it was provided through the Matrox board.
Un-installed and reinstalled the audio board I had originnaly in the PC and assigned thos hardware to the audio in PPro and ALL is well.
