Q10 repeatedly sending email

Hi there,
A few days ago my I had issues sending emails form my Q10 for about a six hour period - after sending the email would appear in Hub with a clock beside it like it was going to send, but would go no further. These emails still have the clock beside them. However, one of the emails is being sent once a day to my coworker. Everything with the email works fine on my desktop, it seems to be an issue with the device. Any suggestion of what the problem is and how I can stop an email from being sent to my coworker everyday?

Your Post is confusing. Difficult to understand.

    I have validated email and restarted. the phone still will not send email. this is intermittent. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesnt.

    Well, a bad network signal or connection to your email server is always possible.
    But, it's quite hard to test or troubleshoot while it is working perfectly.

    Hi,
    We have rolled out a fix for this issue.
    Please log off and log back in to your machine and the issue should be resolved automatically. In case that does not work, please manually run the msi installer posted here (may require reboot).

  • Repeat sending failed emails

    Hello experts,
                     SAP provides a solution to repeat for the failed emails and faxes. We can select multiple messgaes and repeat send to one email address. Is there any standard functionality to do this automatically? If not, is there any function module to do the repeat sending with changing receipient?
    Thanks in advance.
    Ganesh Khumse

    the 550 error code usually means that the mail server you connected with didn't want to relay your message (which is an option they often don't allow). lot of mail servers don't want you to use your own software so that you have to use their software (usually a browser account) so that they can show you all sorts of advertisements (I could be wrong about this, though). The SMTP will allow them to basically cut you off from using it unless you're actually logged onto the server itself (which I have yet to find a way, as its not part of SMTP -- it's part of the POP commands, but they can disable POP altogether).
    If you want to keep developing in spite of this, though, try setting your own PC up to be a SMTP server with your own software or do a search for some small software called "agsmail" which is free. If you want to learn more about the SMTP commands (which those Java mail libraries are probably using behind the scenes) take a look at the RFC's for 'em.... here's the basic one for SMTP: http://www.cis.ohio-state.edu/cgi-bin/rfc/rfc2821.html

  • Send email by code using button in a repeating table

    Hi
    I have got a repeating table with textboxA, 1 people group textbox and a button. What I want is, when the button is clicked, an email should go out to the person's account selected in the people/group textbox with the contents of the textboxA value.
    How do I do that in infopath, I  tried the below code just to see if the email was going out, but I was getting a permission error.
    MailMessage MailMsg = new MailMessage();
    MailMsg.Body = "This is a test message and currently logged in user is " + System.Environment.UserName;
    MessageBox.Show("This is a test message and currently logged in user is " + System.Environment.UserName);
    //CTRL65_5_Clicked.Enabled = false;
    MailMsg.From = new MailAddress("[email protected]");
    MailMsg.To.Add("[email protected]");
    MailMsg.Subject = "InfoPath Test Message";
    SmtpClient server = new SmtpClient("test.smtp.com");
    server.Send(MailMsg);

    Hello,
    First make your form as full trust from form options and verify if you get any permission issue or not.
    Go to "File", then "Form Option", click on "Security Level" und clear the checkbox next to "Automatically determine security level" and instead select "Full Trust".
    Later you need to follow below link to send email to selected user of person picker field.

  • Cannot send emails on Q10 while traveling using wireless

    Q10 PROBLEM I am on Rogers wireless using a telus email address. The incoming server setting is Telus and out going is Rogers wireless, While in Canada I have no problem receiving and sending emails. When I travel I do not buy the data packages I rely on wireless connections and with the Q10 I am not able to send using wireless when I travel. I have tried changing the outgoing server to telus in those situations but it still will not send, In the last month I have tried it in Jamaica and in Vegas with the same results...will not send emails I receive fine. Other people must be having problems? Rogers has been useless directing me to a solution, Help.

    GregandhisQ10 wrote:
    Thanks again...... I will take another run at Rogers and see what happens. I am not sure I guess when you say hosted but I will ask that whan I speak to Rogers.
    You will know by virtue of the email address format. If it is @BB, @Rogers, @Telus (@Carrier), or something else that seems to point to either BlackBerry or a specific carrier, then indeed it is a hosted email account.
    GregandhisQ10 wrote:
    I have had the same email account at Telus for ever and all other BB devices I've had used the incoming and outgoing from Telus but this device will only work sending if I use the rogers outgoing server so I end up with a teuls incoming and a rogers outgoing
    I don't understand that at all then. If this is a hosted email account, I can see no way for it to ever function on any BB device other than a) a legacy BB device and b) a legacy device that is actually operating on the original carriers network. I have never heard of a hosted email account being directly usable (e.g., no forwarding involved) on any device for any other carrier. So perhaps this isn't hosted after all...but still, I have also never heard of any restriction to use the carriers outgoing SMTP server only.
    I believe that perhaps I do not actually understand your exact situation.

  • Why is Firefox 3.6.10 crashing repeatedly when I am using hotmail to try to send emails?

    I am only having difficulty with hotmail when using Firefox 3.6.10. Opening hotmail is OK, and so is reading emails. The problem starts ONLY when I try to SEND a new email, or reply to an existing email. The email composition page within hotmail opens up, but then my hard drive begins to act erratic and spins non-stop. Then, a few seconds later, it crashes altogether. I restore the session, and all my windows open up normally, but another crash is inevitable because that 'send email' hotmail window is open. Presto... another immediate crash. So, obviously, I can restore a 2nd time, this time WITHOUT restoring the hotmail window, and everything seems to work fine. I have to open up a new tab for hotmail, and that appears to work fine for seeing what new is in my inbox, and even as far as reading emails. It seems to only crash when I try to SEND emails.
    I had to go through about 20 different crashes before I could isolate the hotmail window as the culprit. They ALL have the same signature: coreclr.dll@0xbae82 . Of course, "Search Mozilla Support for Help" turns up absolutely nothing on the signature.
    The Crash IDs are numerous. I've only listed a few of them, in the link to the right.

    Hi
    coreclr.dll is an MS Silverlight dll.
    Try de-installing silverlight & re-install Firefox
    I seemed to have an older version of silverlight already on my computer, but that wouldn't uninstall.
    My solution that worked for me is to use the Windows install cleanup utility: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301.
    Select Silverlight from the list, and then download Silverlight again and reinstall.
    And, if all else fails:

  • Cannot send email vial MAIL application in Tiger

    1. When sending email using .mac account in MAIL application, my password is not accepted. The email is deposited in the outbox and is not sent (no whooshing sound). And no reflection of the email is in the sent box.
    2. When sending email using an alternative earthlink account, my password is accepted and the email is sent with whooshing sound, and reflection of sent email is found in the sent box.
    3. Within MAIL, I notice that my .mac address is "Cristino Vicerra Jr Cristino Vicerra Jr <[email protected]>" (name is repeated twice); and that my .mac account is "[email protected]@mac.com" . Is this a significant to my problem of not being able to send email? How can I correct this?

    Simple Mail Transfer Protocol RFC 5321 specifications.
          RCPT TO:<forward-path> [ SP <rcpt-parameters> ] <CRLF>
       The first or only argument to this command includes a forward-path
       (normally a mailbox and domain, always surrounded by "&gt;" and "&lt;"
       brackets) identifying one recipient.In other words, you can only define a SINGLE mailbox address at a time. Multiple addresses requires multiple repeats of this command verb, once per maibox.
    Do not confuse this and the To: tag line in the Mime header that contains a comma delimited list of recipients. That tag line can contain anything - it is not parsed, not checked, and not verified as matching the actual recipient mailboxes as specified via the RCPT TO verb.

  • Sending email using UTL_SMTP

    Dear experts,

  • Issue with script timeouts - trying to send email mail shots - hosting recommendations?

    Background is this - I look after a site for a recruitment agency, which has a backend mySQL database.
    It includes a table of potential candidates, which the site owner can search based on various criteria and then send all the returned candidates an email about potential jobs they might be interested in.
    I'm using an off the shelf script to send the emails, and have jumped through a few hoops to get this to work, but it looks like we need to move hosting unfortunately.
    The script is able to limit emails so that the hosting company doesn't get black flagged as a spammer.
    I've set it up with a progress bar in a new window so the site owner can see progress, but easily get back to the rest of the site.
    But where we have come unstuck is the script timeout on the server - so even though its set to send emails slowly enough, ie under 500 emails an hour, because of that slow pace, it fails if it takes more then five minutes to send them all as the script times out.
    My understanding is that the script includes a line to reset the script timeout value to 0, so enabling the script to keep running until all the emails have been sent. But unfortunately our current hosting company does not allow the script timeout to be reset at the PHP level.
    So my question is this - is anyone doing anything similar, and if so, can you recommend any hosting company that does allow the script timeout to be reset at the PHP level?
    Because at the minute it seems like a frustrating catch-22 - slow it down to get around the spam issue, and it won't run long enough to send all the emails. Speed it up, and it falls foul of the script timeout.
    Any advise on this, or hosting suggestons most welcome!
    Thanks.

    Although there is an AppleScript Forum, Automator can run AppleScripts, so sometimes things can go in either forum. In your script, other than not setting a recipient, you are just getting one of the persons. You need to get a list of your contact information, then build your outgoing messages from that list - for example:
    <pre style="
    font-family: Monaco, 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;
    font-size: 10px;
    font-weight: normal;
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 5px;
    border: 1px solid #000000;
    width: 720px; height: 340px;
    color: #000000;
    background-color: #FFEE80;
    overflow: auto;"
    title="this text can be pasted into the Script Editor">
    set theEmails to {} -- this will be a list of email addresses
    set theNames to {} -- this will be a list of names for the greeting
    tell application "Address Book"
    activate
    set theGroup to (choose from list (get the name of every group) with prompt "Choose a Group") as text
    if theGroup is "false" then return -- cancel
    repeat with aPerson in (get every person of group theGroup) -- build email and name lists
    set the end of theEmails to the first item of (get the value of the email of aPerson) -- just the first address
    set the end of theNames to the first name of aPerson
    end repeat
    end tell
    tell application "Mail"
    repeat with anItem from 1 to (count theEmails) -- make a new message for each entry
    tell (make new outgoing message at the front of outgoing messages with properties {subject:"Test Mail"})
    set visible to true
    get item anItem of theNames
    if the result is missing value then -- no name
    set the content to "message"
    else
    set the content to "Dear " & the result & "," & return & return & "message"
    end if
    make new to recipient at the end of to recipients with properties {address:(item anItem of theEmails)}
    end tell
    end repeat
    activate
    end tell
    </pre>

  • How do I stop iCal sending emails?

    I've added an exchange account to iCal.  However, it recently started sending massive amounts of "Declined" emails for events, some of which are far in the past (years ago.)  This happens for multiple events and multiple recipients.  I believe the problem is that at one time I "deleted" everything in the iCal notifications area, as it was cluttered with meetings that were no longer relevant.
    However, iCal now wants to send emails to everyone on those invites telling them of the Decline.  In one minute, my mail account sent over 150 emails, which is very embarassing and inconvienent for other users.  I actually had to pull the ethernet cable and disable iCal.
    Is there a way to "flush" these out with mass-emailing everyone?  I can't find a way to tell what is going to be sent without actually being online.  I tried deleting my account in iCal and recreating, but the same behavior happened the next day.  I have Outlook running in a VM and have been using that in the interim, and it doesn't seem to have the issue.
    I want to go back to using iCal exclusively, but I'm afraid to even open the program at this point.  Help!

    I just went back into my brother's calendar and he has that event as a recurring event from August 2007 to November 2011 at which point apple moved accounts to me.com.  So it shows every week and I think when I moved I selected last event and checked repeat to never and applied to 'all future events' when pop-up gave that option.  So is there any way to resolve this?  His calendar does not show any sharing.

    Restating my issue / question...
    When I send email from this iMac, there is a string of characters assigned. The characters are all the "alpha numeric" characters on the QWERTY key board. This only occurs when email is sent from this iMac. The issue does not manifest when using any other lap top or computer.
    Hence, I have ruled out the issue is a yahoo mail matter.
    Again, I can access the Yahoo mail account form multiple devices and send email without unintended assignment of character strings, but when I send wmail using this iMac, the issue happens everytime.
    Characters are stacked verticaly in a column. It looks as if all characters (except function keys) are included in the string.
    Any ideas?

    This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software — potentially for the worse. The following procedure will help identify which such modifications you've installed. Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
    These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
    Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
    Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then copy it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
    Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. The other steps should be taken as the user who has the problem, if different. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this paragraph doesn’t apply.
    Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
    When you launch Terminal, a text window will open with a line already in it, ending either in a dollar sign (“$”) or a percent sign (“%”). If you get the percent sign, enter “sh” and press return. You should then get a new line ending in a dollar sign.
    Step 1
    Triple-click the line of text below to select it:
    kextstat -kl | awk '!/com\.apple/{printf "%s %s\n", $6, $7}' | open -f -a TextEdit
    Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Then click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). A TextEdit window will open with the output of the command. Post the contents of that window, if any — the text, please, not a screenshot. You can then close the TextEdit window. The title of the window doesn't matter, and you don't need to post that. No typing is involved in this step.
    Step 2
    Repeat with this line:
    { sudo launchctl list | sed 1d | awk '!/0x|com\.(apple|openssh|vix)|org\.(amav|apac|cups|isc|ntp|postf|x)/{print $3}'; sudo defaults read com.apple.loginwindow LoginHook; } | open -f -a TextEdit
    This time you'll be prompted for your login password, which you do have to type. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. Type it carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. Heed that warning, but don't post it. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
    Note: If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before taking this step. If that’s not possible, skip to the next step.
    Step 3
    launchctl list | sed 1d | awk '!/0x|com\.apple|org\.(x|openbsd)/{print $3}' | open -f -a TextEdit
    Step 4
    ls -1A /e*/mach* {,/}L*/{Ad,Compon,Ex,Fram,In,Keyb,La,Mail/Bu,P*P,Priv,Qu,Scripti,Servi,Spo,Sta}* L*/Fonts 2> /dev/null | open -f -a TextEdit
    Important: If you formerly synchronized with a MobileMe account, your me.com email address may appear in the output of the above command. If so, anonymize it before posting.
    Step 5
    osascript -e 'tell application "System Events" to get name of every login item' | open -f -a TextEdit
    Remember, steps 1-5 are all copy-and-paste — no typing, except your password. Also remember to post the output.
    You can then quit Terminal.
