Quality Notifications-F4 values for "Department responsible"&"Coordinator"

I would like to create few F4 values for "Department responsible" & "Coordinator" for Quality notifications Please let me know how to do it.

You can give the coordinator in the F4 if you have set in the config for partner type as Coordinator (user) ,
partner function KU and partner type as US which means you are relating it to the SAP user.
You can use organisation Unit ie the dept responsible only if you are using SAP HR. You can create the same using PP01 t code choosing the object type.

Existing Quality Notification takes long time to open for certain vendors

Hello Gurus,
I have users complaining about the wait time( 2 t0 5 mintues) when opening of an Quality notification in QM03 for certain vendors. For soem vendors its fast and they always fast but for some it takes really long time and it always long.
I tried the sql trace but nothin out of ordinary compare to the ones both kind slow and fast.
Any help or idea would be really appreciated1

Creating Quality Notification via BAPI

I am attempting to create a quality notification using BAPI_QUALNOT_CREATE but am running into an issue. I need the ability to link the inspection lot number to the quality notification but I do not see a field for inspection lot in any of the BAPI segments. When i record results using defect codes in SAP, the quality notification that is created has the inspection lot linked to it (in the reference object tab). As there another field within the BAPI that i can use to pass the inspection lot number??

Thanks for the response. I have attempted to use the FM you suggested but still am not having much luck. After I feed the required data to the FM, I am prompted with the error message u201CNo quality notification type maintained for inspection lot type.u201D However in SPRO, under Quality Management -> Quality Inspection -> Inspection Lot Creation -> Maintain Inspection Types, the notification type is defined for each of the inspection types I am using. Is there any additional configuration I may be missing? Thanks againu2026

Assign Execute and Review for Quality Notification

Hello Experts,
Can we configure the workflow WS24500047 or is their any change in configuration in SPRO so that we can make the following business scenario.
1- Quality Administrator will create quality notification in QM01.
2- Quality Administrator will assign the task to the responsible person for eg. User1 is responsible to complete the task to fix a bolt of a machine
3- After fixing the issue. User1 will make the the task complete and request to close the task
4- Other User say Reviewer will see the request from User1 and finds the the task is properly done and he will make a request to the approver to close the task
5- The approver will approve the request and close the task.
6- And if the all the task of the quality notification is complete then
quality administrator will complete the quality notification and close the task.
in other words.
QA (will create the Quality notification and assign to user) --> User1 (Fix the issue and make a request to complete the outstanding task to the reviewer ) --> Reviewer (Inspect and make a request to the Approver to approve and close the outstanding task) --> QA (finally close the quality notification after completion of all Outstanding tasks)

You have to generate 3 SAP Login ID's like ...
1. Q_01 : Who will have the rights of Creating & Changing the Notification. He will also have the right to complete the Notification as wel as revoke it.
2. Q_02 : Who will have the rights to enter the details about the Task and its activities as you said fix a bolt on machine.
3. Q_03 : Who will have the rights to review the whole process thru closing the Task.
I feel that there is no need to have fourth one in picture as your all requirement can meet within these three.

No quality notification type has been defined for inspection type 89

When I am creating a manual inspection lot and want to create a quality notification it gives me this error "No quality notification type has been defined for inspection type 89" where do I assign the notifications to the inspection lot.???
I want to know where do I configure it??

Path for assigning the Qualtiy notification type to Qualtiy inspection type:
SPRO--> Qualtiy Mangement --> Qualtiy inspection --> Inspection lot creation -->
Maintain Inspection types.
Select the inspection type and goto details screen
You can find notification type field in the details.Give the value and Save.

SPRO-->Quality management >Notification> Overview of notification types-->Select the notification & 90 give the customer specific screen area
this is the process where we will add the screen...
Go to Function group is XQQM in SE80....create the screen which you have added in config...example 0090 ....
No wgo to includes tab you will see one z*TOP include there you declare the fields you want on this custom screen ....
example : dist type char3.
In the PBO and PAI validations you can make for the added fields as we do in normal Module pool.
In the PAI event create a module and pass the values to the structure VIQMEL.
for example if your added field is dist.
Pass as
VIQMEL-dist = dist.
Go to cmod create a project ,give the enhacement QQMA0001.
In the exit EXIT_SAPMIWO0_009
Pass those values to the req structure which needs to be populated.
example :
i_viqmel-dist = dist.
move-corresponding i_viqmel to e_viqmel.
--> Go to standard table where the values need to be updated(qmel) add one append structure with the req fields

Enter trasaction QM01 and select the notification type A3
then enter the material document or p.o number;if both are not available still go inside the notification.
enter the material code for which you want deviation ; after that in subject tab enter the description for the approval, in Item tab enter defect and cause if any
then on next subject screen enter Department resp ,coordinator ,priority and Quantity and save the notification; after that from change mode send it to the respective authority from which u want approval.
it will go to his Inbox for approval,
then he will go to the change mode of that notification select Decision tab and then go to action box of that notification and click on special approval link and approve your deviation; for writing any other instruction long text is there; if any inspection lot is pending for this approval the approver can directly give usage decision from that action box screen and then send back notification to the co ordinator
I think all your doubts are cleared now if any left please revert back

Electronic signatures for Quality Notifications

We are on 4.0b system and thinking of implementing electronic signatures functionality for quality notifications. Since SAP standard does not have this functionality we are planning to use Enhancement QQMA0014, function module exit EXIT_SAPMIWO0_020.
To this effect, we are requesting your guidance for the following
1.Is this customer exit available in latest version of SAP ?
2. If we store these signatures (user id , date and time) in an custom table, can we move this custom table ,once we upgrade to a higher version.
3. Is there any other way to implement electronic signatures for quality notifications in version 4.0b.

My primary worry is if i use this exit to have electronic signatures in 4.0b and i know this functionality (Electronic signatures) is standard in latest versions, what will happen to the electronic signature data that i create until i upgrade.
The electronic signature data is the user id , date and time associated with a notification. I plan to store this in a custom table.
I will appreciate , if you can share with me your analysis.

Different stock value for accepted and rejected material in quality

Hi,
when we send the final product in quality ,some material has accepted and some material has rejected
But system is showing the value of both accepted and rejected same.
But we want that the value for both should be different.
How we can get it

It is not possible to valuate differently for accepted and rejected material.
The value for material in PO for total material. So it should be same value for both.

Present solution Proposed - Using user exit insert New Zfields to notification to enter Batch nos manually.
is there any other standard enhasment where multiple batch entry can be done!

Dear Sadan,
There is a chance of happening this due to that field is marked as mandatory.
I hope this would happen, when Pm guy was making settings for the notification fields.
He might have made this filed mandatory w/o any reference of Notification type (Influencing in spro filed selection), If he doesnt select Influencing and Notification type, that field Mandatory will effect all the Notification types.
So please check with ur PM guy and change the field setting for Notifications and ask him to use Influencing - Notification type and desired notification type.

Search for User/Customer-Exit in Printing Quality-Notifications

because we want to use the standard of SAP, we don't want to use a custom print programm for our quality-notifications. One of the print programms is "RQQMUD01". Are there spezific User/Customer Exits for the print programs of the quality-notifications. Or do we have to copy the original print program and make our modifications? Thanks.

Restricting authobject I_QMEL for Quality notifications and HR PCRs

Hello,
We have encountered an role conflict when the authorization object I_QMEL is used both for Quality notification and HR PCR access on the portal. Here is the scenario.
Quality Administrator has I_QMEL for:
- notification type X
- transaction IQS1 and IQS2
- all work is done in the GUI
Employee who is a Manager has I_QMEL for:
- notification type Z
- transactions IQS1 and IQS2
- all work is done on the portal
The role conflict arises when one user has both the Quality Administrator role and the Manage role. The user can then use the GUI to view notifications of type Z - that any manager has submitted. This means the user can view all personnel change requests in the systems. These PCRs contain sensitive information.
Any ideas on how I can design the security such that this role conflict is suppressed?

Action Box customizing for Quality notifications

Hi all,
In the customizing Quality Notifications ->Qualyty Notifications->Notification processing->Aditional Notification Funtions->Define Action Box. Inside of de Action definitions, a field for Workflows or Standard Task is avalilable. (in specific details for task).
Any one know how it works? No Binding defined?
I mean, in the customizing of Quality notification Actions, Workflow (or TS) could be included in the specific detail. I do not understand how that could work since no binding is defined.

Finally after a lot of tests, looks like the Workflow is trigered when save and recieve a Task object for inport parameter (I mean, my Workflow has as input object QMSM and it is been populated - Create Workitem in error if I add Notification as input too).
I hope this would be usefull if someone more has the same doubt in the future and look for some help in this foro.

MB56 for quality notifications?

Hi all,
is there a possibility to see quality notifications for substream materials which were consumed for production of a finished good? I mean a kind of MB56 for quality notifications.You enter the finished goods material and batch and see if there were notifications for a material which was used to produce the finished good?
Does this exist somewhere in the R3 - system?

Set a User Status for Quality Notifications only if they are "Activated".

Hello experts:
I need to be able to set a User Status for Quality Notifications only if they are "Activated".
When defects are recorded for an inspection lot, a "Defect Notification" is created which can be activated to become a "Quality Notification". Initially, the only difference between the inactive "Defect Notification" and the active "Quality Notification" is that the system status DEFR is active for the "Defect Notification", but is cleared when the notification is activated.
So, I'm looking for the business process associated with the Activation to use as a trigger for my own user status.
I checked the business rules for status DEFR and found that the following processes clear this status
PMM1 - Postpone Notification
PMM2 - Put Notification In Process
PMM3 - Assign Order
PMM6 - Put Notification In Process Again
Any Ideas ?

Perhaps some additional information would help you understand what I need to do.
For notification type F3, we are recording all defects found in production.
Most of these are expected defects that result in a minor reduction in yield.
For this type of defect, we do not activate the notification, and the inspection lot is closed automatically at the end of production.
However, sometimes defects are observed of an unexpected type or a higher than expected quantity.
When this happens we manually activate the notification and assign tasks to find and correct the cause.
It is only for these activated notifications that I want to automatically set a user status, which among other things, will prevent the notification from being closed until some other actions are complete and a different user status is selected.
The function of the user status currently works exactly as I want, but if it is set as the initial status for all F3 notifications, it is also preventing the un-activated defect notifications from automatically closing. I therefore want to use the Activation event as the trigger to set my user status.
