my job no. is W114102800761
If your device is older than 30 days then I believe that a replacent device of the same quality can be given - If it's less than 30 days then you could again as far as I believe request a new device but this will be from the place of purchase
To add we are a user support forum so a work ticket number is of no use to us as we are unable to answer such questions and have no influence to be able to acquire the answer - You need to contact Xperia care http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

Replacement product and quality
Hi there,
I bought 6 ipod touchs from online store of Apple last year. One was broken glass after 2 months using so we had to pay for replacement service in june 2011. They hand us the replacement one which is packed in some nilon and paper instead of nicely box as original one but they ensured us the quality is about the same. However, 2 months ago, this replacement one was spoiled, can not charge anymore while other original ipod from apple store are still working. Today I sent the spoiled ipod touch to QDC service and they adviced us to call to apple service to ask before pay 162 dollars for repair because we paid too much for this device already. Badluck for us, the guy picked up our phone only advice us to "go forward" to pay for service instead of help us to find if the device is same quality with original or not???? I am now wonder about Apple repair service, the way Apple's staff answered us show clearly that the quality of replacement device would be never same with the original device we bought directly from apple store.Apple replaced my iPhone 3G and iPhone 4, the quality did not differ, both devices are still operating without problems. Some damages are not covered by your warranty, like a broken glass or water damage. More details here: Apple - Support - Service Answer Center

I gather that I shouldn't have done this as it copies each thumbnail and this reduces the quality. I then exported the pictures to my Pictures folder as they weren't there. My question is; I still have the original Library with pictures. Is there anything I can do to start the process again so I ma getting the same qualitry of images I had previously?
Let me start from the beginning. I had a problem with iPhoto, after trying a few things myself, I took it to the Apple store, who tried a few things and then decided to backup my files, then erase everything and start from scratch. New OS, reload Applications etc. I then went to iPhoto and simply dragged the iPhoto library which was within pictures onto iPhoto. It got all my photos, but very poor quality. I now understand this is not the best way to do it.
So, I need to know the besy way to;
1) Remove all the pictures from iPhoto as they are poor quality
2) Replace with the original quality pictures that I had.
I have located a file called Originals within the iPhoto Library folder which was in Pictures which contains all my photos at the quality I want them. So another way to put the question is; what is the easiest way of getting these pictures into iPhoto and replacing the poor quality ones that are currently there.
Thanks guys. -
Hi All,
I recently chatted with MCP support to inform them of poor shoddy service by their provider of Wallet Cards. Has anyone else had any problems with quality/service with the below provider? If so who can I contact to report the problems I had with
them?
Below is a copy of the statement I provided to MCP support:
I ordered a wallet card quite awhile back. Upon delivery I discovered that it was very poor quality and some of the lettering "Solutions Associate" was very faint.
I contacted arvato digital services LLC to report it. They requested that I send them a scanned copy of the wallet card.
They then agreed to replace it. I was told that it would ship 12/17/2013 and after a month or so of not receiving it I contacted them again and Daniel apologized and said it had gotten lost in production.
I was then promised a ship date in January. I had to contact them again and I finally received it today 2/7/2014.
The papers that came with it said my credit card would be charged.
To summarize: I was shipped a poor quality card which took them over 2 months to replace,
no improvement on the card still looks like the first one they sent me and finally they said my card would be charged .... AGAIN?
I want Microsoft to know what very poor service arvato digital services LLC is providing to their Members and how I can get a quality card replacement without any additional charge.
I offered to send the second poor quality card received and also the back and forth emails requesting that they resolve the problem.
By the email time stamps they will see the very long length of time it has taken to resolve this issue and the fact that it is still not resolved.Same here. I just received them today (21/02/2014). Very very disappointed.
I ordered the Solutions Expert & Specialist Card. Both are terrible beyond all recognition.
Both photos in the cards are blurry, unlike the ones I previewed in the design page. Just like you said, the lettering ('Solutions Expert' & 'Specialist') on BOTH cards are very faint.
I even ordered the 'Specialist' card in German just for curiousity's sake.
On the bottom at the back of the card where you find the "Download the Tag reader app at: http://gettag.mobi" sentence, I found this incomplete (and perhaps just to show their level of incompetence) sentence:
aden Sie die Tag-Leseanwendung hier herunter: htt
Missing the first "L" and the incomplete "http://gettag.mobi"
First, you discontinued the MCM/MCSM program and the whole works last year. I know this is a very different thing and has a very big difference (and revenue). Now you showed the (lack of) care even for the tiniest bit of a Microsoft Wallet Card.
I see no use of contacting Arvato, just another time-wasting effort, third party subcontractor and all that.
Guys, forewarned is forearmed. -
Where can I have my shutter replaced for Canon EOS-1D Mark II?
The shutter for my Mark II camera is bust. Unfortunately, Canon no longer services this model so I need to find a place that has the shutter and can do quality work replacing it. I cannot afford to buy another camera right now and the college football season is approaching. if anyone knows a place that can do this, please let me know.
Thanks!

Welcome to the Apple Discussions
The PPC software should run on the Intel Machine using the Rosetta emulation. Try it and see. Some cameras can be controlled - at least pics can be taken - via Image Capture (It's in your Applications Folder). From the Image Capture Help:
Many cameras let you take a picture using Image Capture when the camera is connected to your computer.
Connect your camera, and click Download Some.
Click Take Picture.
The camera snaps a picture, which then appears in the window.
If you don't see the Take Picture icon, choose View > Customize Toolbar, and drag the icon to the toolbar.
If the Take Picture icon is dimmed, your camera does not support this feature.
This works with my Canon S2.

I bought the GE 31591GE1 phone a year ago. Battery no longer holds a charge. GE does not support the phone-no battery replacements available. Yet Skype still sells this SAME phone.
So is this a gimmick? The battery dies so I have to buy a new phone?
I know Skype's standard answer - contact the manufacturer - I have, no response yet.
My question is WHY is Skype selling a phone which appears to have no way to get a replacement battery? This is not a good business practice to have a "Skype certified" partner that does not support hardware and to sell that hardware on the Skype site. Makes for an unhappy customer, may have to go to another VOIP provider unless Skype works on this issue.I have run into my own problems with manufacturers not providing basic replacement parts. Luckily batteries are not too hard to come by even if not official replacements.
1. To start if you're electronically inclined the proprietary battery appears to be nothing more than 2 1.2 Volt NIMH AA batteries put in series (2.4 Volts). If you purchased 2 batteries and soldered them together in the same manner with the connector (then wrapped them in non-conductive electrical tape) you should have a very high quality inexpensive replacement battery.
2. The easier solution would be to purchase a generic replacement battery. If you do a web search for "GE 31591 battery" you should find some. The average prices seems to be $7.50. If you want a wider selection you can also search for batteries by other vendors using the same part.
Here's a list of devices: (just use those model numbers followed by the word "battery")

Is a 27" iMac hardware likely to last at least 8 years?
I have been a mac user since the Mac Plus, but I have never bought an iMac... I have a 27" i7 on order, and even outside of the issues reported here I wonder if I made the right choice.
In the more recent past I bought the low end of the PowerMac line (which would now be Mac Pro) which kept getting more and more expensive... My last purchase was the PowerMac G5 2.3GHz Dual Core.
I always went with the high end line because the usage pattern I have (which I how I justify the cost) is that I use the machine for 4 years and then pass it on to another family member at home who uses it for 4 years until I get a new one, then repeat. So a Machine gets used regularly for 8 years in this house.
Because it is going to being used so long I buy a fairly powerful processor which meant a PowerMac. This has worked well and the hardware has never been an issue... In fact I have machines older than 8 years that work just fine. Though my last G5 PowerMac had gotten uncomfortably expensive...
With the 27" iMac i7, the iMac finally had enough of a high end processor to future proof it enough to consider it. While I really dislike all-in ones on principle, it is also about time to get a new display and pass this one on with the Power Mac as that other person in the family really could use a better monitor than the very old small CRT they have... And the when i saw the display in the Apple Store I was impressed.
With my finances going south , and the Mac Pro SOOO expensive, I ordered a 27" i7... But I am wondering if maybe I've made mistake even outside of the current issues.
You usually get what you pay for... and I am wondering if the iMac hardware is built well enough to last at least 8 years.
My G5 PowerMac (and I assume the same for Mac Pro) is built like a tank to last... So what about iMac's? Are they up for a marathon and not just a sprint?
Thanks,
- KarenHi Karen,
I'm afraid nobody will really be able to answer to this question. All I can tell you is my September 2003 model iMac (G4 USB 2.0), purchased in January 2004, which is already officially classified as "vintage",
is working fine since now 6 years.
I don't mention older QuickSilvers and such, because they still were made in the US which was probably a better quality.
If I were you, I'd go for an AppleCare Protection Plan from the beginning, and start using my new iMac in a very complete and thorough way, import into iTunes your entire physical CDs library you have home one by one, use demanding applications that trigger internal fans, etc, all that at during the first months you own it.
That way, if any hardware defect should affect your iMac, it would break at once, and not after two or four years when it's too late.
Then you would have your expensive and inaccessible spare parts duly replaced by Apple, all under warranty so you can be sure of the quality of replacement parts.
Saying this because that's what happened to both my iMacs:
After only a few weeks, my iLamp had its motherboard and another very expensive part (the one that drives light to screen) replaced under warranty, so it has been working good ever since,
and my C2D, the very last white iMacs, after a few months had its superdrive replaced, under warranty of course, after I imported my entire CD library.
You know,
the iMac is probably enough for your use, if you can keep a computer that's up to eight years old,
but one thing is certain: with a Mac Pro, when it gets old and needs some repairs after the three years warranty, it is much more easy and natural to take it apart etc,
than an all-in-one computer? -
Media Manager: What features do work? What doesn't?
Hi,
For those people for whom the media manager works, what works? What doesn't? What version of FCP and MacOS are you using?
I've just spent the last several hours trying to reconnect clips by hand after FCP 5.0.4 crashed while using the Media Manager to consolidate Media Files into one folder (from the manual volume 4 pg 104-105) for archiving. I am beginning to despair. Luckily I've done this after writing out what should be the final version of my project to DVD, so if I can't succeed, as long as I don't need to edit anything I should be ok.
I can tell you what's not working for me: the workflow of capture-now an entire miniDV tape to disk. I've tried many different approaches, and everything seems broken. I am using Mac OS X 10.3.9 and FCP 5.0.4.
Specifically the aspects of Media Manager which are broken for me:
1) (page 103) Removing Portions of Media Files after creating subclips. "A common logging and capturing workflow involves capturing each tape to a single media file, breaking the master clip into subclips, and then using the Media Manager to create individual media files for each subclip."
That is just plain broken. Even when I delete the master file as recommended, it does not break up the media file into individual files for the subclips. I've seen that problem referenced here before. Creating subclips from the subclips and removing subclip limits gives me the entire 1 hr tape again, when all I want is the smaller portion which does not cross DV start/stop boundaries.
Talking with a creative helper at the Palo Alto Apple store I learned that if you don't delete any media between clips, it doesn't make a file break. I have not tested that, instead I used the alternate workflow he proposed of selecting my subclips (created from the markers made with DV start/stop detect) ctrl-click -> batch export, item settings: make movie self contained. Unfortunately, I discovered the hard way that that workflow introduces errors in the time code, making recapturing the project to reconstruct it impossible.
2) Consolidating Media Files into one folder (pg 104-105) - This is also broken and caused FCP to quit unexpectedly. Both the source and destination disk had enough disk space to hold two or more copies of the entire project. What's worse, although I've been able to reconnect most of the clips created using the batch export process menioned above, some of them complain that they need the complete 1-hr clip to play properly. Those clips were deleted weeks ago, and I was able to edit and work on the project successfully without them. Why are they needed now? The small clips do appear on disk, I can see them but they won't play without the long file.
Nothing I've tried with the media manager has worked. Has anything worked for you? I'm especially interested if you use the "capture now" feature to capture 1-hr tapes and log later.
Thanks,
--Beth
Dual 1.42 GHz PowerPC G4 2 MB L3 cache per processor Mac OS X (10.3.9) 2 GB DDR SDRAMI use MM all the time, but only for certain things. I can share some observations:
If you are using MM to "Create Offline - Remove Unused", the original media all needs to be present in order for the unused media to be removed from the offline clips MM creates. This is they way I use MM all the time - capturing long clips at RT or DV quality, and then removing unused media with MM, recapturing at high quality.
I might try to use MM to copy media used in a certain sequence, but I would never try to move the media in a way that would automatically remove or alter any of my already captured media. If FCP crashed in the middle of the operation (perhaps it hits a file with incorrect permissions) your media will be half-moved, and some of the media might get corrupted. I have reassembled a few projects like this for friends and it was not easy.
Speed adjusted clips - I still see TC issues every now and then when using MM on speed-adjusted clips - here is my workaround: I go through my edited sequence and pick out as many of the speed-adjusted clips as I can find, copying and pasting them into a new sequence, where I remove the speed adjustments. I include this new sequence in my selection when I initiate MM, this creates new master clips for the speed-adjusted material that are guaranteed to come up with the correct in and out points. If during my re-assembly I find that and of these clips have a problem, I know there will be enough media in the master clip to replace the speed-adjusted media without having to log and capture a new clip.
One major bug in MM I have found with FCP5 is that when using MM to convert a DV sequence to an Uncompressed offline sequence, any graphics or animation movie files (animation codec) can no longer be rendered at full quality without replacing them one by one. My last project had 70 of these files in a 1-hour program. -

0x1691e000 - 0x16aeaff7 com.apple.audio.cLet me start from the beginning.
So, I need to know the besy way to;
1) Remove all the pictures from iPhoto as they are poor quality
2) Replace with the original quality pictures that I had.
I have located a file called Originals within the iPhoto Library folder which was in Pictures which contains all my photos at the quality I want them. So another way to put the question is; what is the easiest way of getting these pictures into iPhoto and replacing the poor quality ones that are currently there.
Thanks guys. -
How can I reduce size of phote file?
I need to upload copies of bank statement to Paypal. I took pics of my statements and need to upload them now. Each photo is 1.4 MB in size and I can only upload 4078kb in total. How can I make the file sizes smaller so I can send them. Thanks in advance, Tracy
The Preview application (should be in your Applications folder) can do this. Open the picture in Preview, go to the File menu and select Save As. Just below where it says Format, there should be a slider bar labeled Quality. You can reduce the quality to get a smaller file size, then save. Be sure you save with a different file name if you don't want your old, full quality file replaced by the new one.
Hope this helps you. -
How do you control hiDPI image optimization in Muse CC 2014?
Hi,
I'm using the new hi-DPI feature in Muse CC 2014 that supports image assets for hi resolution screens. The website I'm building is a portfolio site and need to make sure that images look good on both 72 dpi and hi-res screens. I'm finding that Muse is over optimizing @2x images when exporting for preview—especially for the assets used for 72dpi screens. When I export the site to preview in browser, I'm assuming that is the image quality that can be expected when publishing the site. Can I just optimize the images using Photoshop and replace them on the FTP host site after publishing or is there a better method? Is it possible to preview the manually optimized images before publishing?
Thanks for any suggestions.Okay, I'm answering my own question since I figured out at least one solution. Probably pretty basic stuff for anyone that's familiar with Muse and publishing, but this is my first Muse site.
From Muse, export the html files to your local drive.
View the site in your browser and check for image quality.
Replace files in the "images" folder that are not good quality with images that you've optimized manually, making sure you use the exact same file names.
Refresh your browser to view new images.
I'm testing on a 72 dpi desktop and a hi-res display laptop. It doesn't look like the files I'm using are too large. Pages should still load quickly.
Once your satisfied with the new images upload to FTP host.
I think this works fairly well, but if anyone has a better method, please post. I also am interested in using business catalyst to track traffic on the site. I would imagine you can simply replace image files directly on the FTP server if you publish using Catalyst. -
The menu themes in Premiere Elements 12 do not allow a change to the volume on the preset music scores in the Main Menu page; or allow for a change-out to another music choice on the presets for the "Scene Selection" page – how do I do those two things?
The menu theme I selected for my video is SCREAMING loud and prompts the viewer to quickly turn down the volume, but then they have to crank it back up to hear the video. I converted a VHS tape to a DVD video and then I added photos at the end for a wedding project. This sound thing is driving me nuts every time I preview it and does the same thing on the DVD when I burn it.
All of the tutorials I've checked, and the manual, show how to alter the pictures, but absolutely nothing about the audio needing to be corrected. :-(TKpix

from Project Assets drag the music file to the Soundtrack
Select/Highlight the music file in the Soundtrack, go to Adjust Tab/Adjustments Palette/Volume Panel expanded and use the

Then Publish+Share/Computer/Audio with Presets = MP3 - High Quality.
Replacing Original with volume adjusted one
Go back to the (A) Art-in-Motion Folder and move the original Artistic Theme Menu_bg_audio.mp3 from there to a place for
safe keeping, maybe Libraries/Music.
Then move the volume lowered Artistic Theme Menu_bg_audio.mp3 from its save location that you designated at its export
from Premiere Elements to the (A) Art-in-Motion Folder.
Make sure that the name of the music file in the (A) Art-in-Motion Folder is exactly the same before and after all this.
Note: Adobe has set the file name so that this music file applies to both the main menu and the scene menu.
Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
Looking forward to your results.

Synchronizing audio AFTER in the timeline
Is there any way to sync audio to a clip AFTER it is in the timeline?
Here's what happened in my case.
I have video clips with embedded audio on them. As I was editing with them, I noticed that the audio levels were low.
I now have the stand alone audio from the recorder that has MUCH better levels recorded on it, but I cannot find a way to sync it to the clips I already have in my timeline. Is there any way short of syncing them, and manually finding the in and out points again on the newly created "synchronized clip" and doing a replace edit? Seems like a lot of work and not very precise. Can I in any way replace the audio married to the clip with the new audio and have it sync without creating a new clip?
Another question for the audio guys. Would adjusting the "Loudness" setting on the original clips to increase their levels lose me quality over replacing them with the audio files from the recorder?
(Our setup on set, btw was a Fostex recorder and boom mic recording to CF cards, and audio was feeding out of that into our F900 camera (so all of the clips have sync sound as well. The audio that hit the camera though, is significantly quieter than the individual sound wav files off of the Fostex)
Hope this makes sense, and thanks! You said ...

I will let the other guys address the syncing of a standalone audio track to your video. There are many ways to do that, and I do that all the time just by aligning the waveform features then pulling the video audio part down to -96dB. You could take all that into a compound clip afterward ... But ...
Regarding the question you asked above. You Fostex will usally record much better audio than any camera audio circuitry. I use standalone Tascams to record audio then marry it to the video afterward ... makes a much better experience for the viewer. Your audio level on the Fostex, being much higher in level, will help things, but I still use Loudness on dialog clips. I don't do anything with commercial music tracks because they have already been maximized for loudness and mixed for proper dynamic range and limiting and compression, etc.
In general you will probably like your audio if you (1) apply loudness, (2) change the volume level slider in inspector to make your timeline audio waveform to where it just rarely touches red peaks ... this usually means the level is around +1dB on the volume level. Then, make sure you have only the channel selected in your Dual Mono settings under the audio tab, which has an actual audio waveform. Uncheck the one that does not have a waveform if this applies to you then recheck your volume levels.
Finally, (3) pull over the Adaptive Limiter form the audio section of the effects browser onto your clip ... use it's default settings. This will add a soft-knee roll off to your louder peaks while leaving the lower features untouched. I prefer this method to compression because limiters to not boost the noise levels as much as compressors do. Then, to end up, simply check the volume levels for the whole thing again to make sure you are not above 0dB to +1dB.
If you have special requirements for voices and dialogue, you can use the audio enhancements section and the little EQ icon on the right to open up an EQ feature. Select 31 band instead of the default 10 band setting then do the following: Increase 3,100Hz by about 6dB to add a degree of excitement to the speaker's voice. Roll off every frequency below 100Hz by about 3 to 4 dB to reduce the "mud" and rumble. For a male speaker, boost 250Hz by about 3dB ... for a female voice boost 350dB instead. Then boost 20KHz to add presence to the audio.
This is probably a lot more than you need, but you will end up making your audio almost as good as it can be by following these basic principles. Your mileage may vary

Sorry that I am editing this. I forgot to look above that it is a Lumia 625
So yep.. You need to go with buying the glass which includes the digitizer. It comes together and cannot be separated. That is the only componet you need to buy. There is no need to replace the display/LCD as that will just extend the overall costs uselessly. Your display is pretty fine and as you say, original.
Buy the digitizer along with the plastic frame as it is a very tough task toi reuse the original frame.
Summing it up, I would recommend going the official Nokia Care way.If there's no such service available to you, buy a digitizer from an authentic source (ensure it is high quality) and replace it yourself or pay a local technician to do that.
I don't know!
ahan... u mean http://www.parts4repair.com/touch-screen-digitizer-for-nokia-lumia-625/ ? its ok? (JUST should buy this? )
so what is http://www.parts4repair.com/touch-screen-digitizer-for-nokia-lumia-625/ for??? :-?

What is the best but least expensive iphone car stereo adapter?
I want to listen to my Itunes music in my car (2004 Maxima and a 2003 Suburban).... what is a good car stereo adapter?
It's going to vary depending on a number of factors. The best sound quality (without replacing the head unit) is going to come with an RF modulator that connects in-line with the antenna input on the unit itself. These can be almost as expensive as just replacing the head unit with one that supports bluetooth streaming or at least has an aux connection. Neither of these solutions is portable between vehicles and requires that you either be adept enough to install them yourself or pay someone to install them.
RF transmitters that connect directly to the phone can be OK if you are in an area that has relatively open FM frequency availability, but you'll have to fiddle with it and change the frequency as you drive around. These have the benefit of being portable between vehicles and relatively inexpensive ($50-$100).
If you have a cassette player in the car, you can get a cassette tape adapter for about $10 at Radio Shack.
If it were me, and I intended to hang onto the car for any length of time, I'd go to www.crutchfield.com and find a new head unit for each car that supports bluetooth audio streaming. As a bonus, you'll end up with hands free bluetooth calling as well with most units. This will run you probably somewhere between $120 and $350 per car assuming you can install it yourself.
