Quarintine of stock/Inventory on GRPO

Hi Experts,
One of my Customer has following scenario.
Whenever they receive material against Purchase Order (PO), first they make PREGRN entries and then receive all the material into the Quarantine Area.
They are Auto Parts Wholesale Distributer. They receive allway all the material against PO at there Central and Distribution HuB (CDH). There suppler's are generally international, so lead time is quite long. Generally all there PO contain more then 600 different products at a time.
When they run out of stock in any of there warehouse then they use the this ordered Material, they then first release it from Quarantine Area to regular CDH warehouse and it is available for sale to every body.
The challenges I have considered are as below.
1.It is possible that material remain in Quarintine for say six month.
2.They wish to track from which supplier  they have received the material and against what reference No. (Purchase Order OR GRPO OR  A/P Invoice)
3.When material is in Quarantine area, system should not allow them to use that material for sales delivery or some other use.

Could anyone find out the solution for me.
Already set the below settings in the SAP:
    1)  item master data - inventory data - tick Manage inventory by warehouse
    2)  System initialization - Document setting - general - tick block negative inventory by Item stetting
Still I can post the A/R invoice, when no stock ( It's allow negative stock inventory)
    Using : SAP B1 ver 9.0 PL 10.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Siva.

    Hi
So Sivakumar, did you post that AR Invoice?
    Also check this
In order to block negative inventory for each warehouse, the following settings should be made:
    1. Go to Administration -> System Initialization -> Document Settings -> General Tab, make sure 'Block Negative Inventory' is checked.
    2. Go to Item Master Data -> Inventory tab, make sure 'Manage Inventory by Warehouse' is checked.
how can we block negative inventory ?

  • Projected Stock-Inventory Report for APO

    Hi All,
I have to develop Projected Stock-Inventory Report for APO.
I need to fetch data from APO and need to store it in BI for reporting purpose.
Do you have any idea about how to get the required data from APO system?
Where does stock data resides along with projected stock in any SNP aggregate or any table?
    Regards,
    Krunalkumar Rathod

    Hello,
I suppose you mean you want to export the data "stock on hand" in SNP planning book to BW.
This key figure is an auxiliary key figure that calculated by macro. The data is only diplayed in the planning book but not saved to any database table or liveCache.
In order to save it, you can add your own time-series key figure to save the stock on hand. And you'll need to create your own macro to calculate or copy from the auxiliary key figure.
A good way is you can  create a macro by copying the "stock balance" macro and just change the stock on hand key figure to your own time serires key figure. Then when you need the data, you can run the macro in background job. By doing this, the stock data will be saved to the time series key figure. Then you can extract it from liveCache as normal key figures.
Please notice the time-series key figure must be assigned to correct aggregates in an SNP planning area.
    Best Regards,
    Ada

  • Stock / Inventory Allocations in 8.82

Hi - I have seen that there is to be Serial Number allocations for Inventory items, can someone explain how this works? Is it a hard allocation or a soft allocation and does it require a serial number to be in SAP?
    Many thannks

Hard allocation of inventory holds aside stock against a customer order.  This is also sometimes known as “Hard Pegging”.
Soft allocation refers to a quantity of an inventory item that is reserved for use in a specific warehouse operation. The inventory still appears on reports and is visible throughout the warehouse.
I'm trying to get some specifics from SAP on what is coming in 9.x so will let you know as soon as I do!

  • SRM for stock inventory purchase

    Hi,
Currently in our company SRM system,  SRM only cover expense purchase. We use extended scenerio.
I am wondering how SRM can cover stock purchase, which do not use account assignment, and whening having GR the entry like:
    D: Inventory
      C:GR/IR
What ocnfig i need to do?
    Thanks.

    Hi there,
Please see answer from the following FAQ note..
815849 FAQ: Account assignment system response
    3. Why does the system issue the message KI 235 'Account & requires an
    assignment to a CO object'?
o In SRM, you always have to *post to a G/L account and to a CO
object.* Exceptions: Direct material scenario - account assignment
occurs in the OLTP regardless of what was previously entered in
SRM. For external requirements, the primary system is the OLTP
from which the demand is issued and sent to SRM. In this case,
account assignment changes are not allowed in SRM because this
would lead to inconsistencies (in follow-on documents as well)
when compared to the primary system.
o In OBA5, you can suppress the message or define it as a warning
message. Since only error messages are transferred to SRM BBP_PD
047), the system no longer issues this message in SRM.
    Hope this helps,
    Kind Regards,
    Matthew

  • Wrong values for Total stock - Inventory managment ( negative values)

    Hi,
    I loaded inventory management load
2LIS_03_BF   INIT 01.06.2009 - 06.7.2009 No Marker Update (compressed with check)
2LIS_03_UM  INIT 01.06.2009 - 06.7.2009 No Marker Update (compressed with check)
the first quantity received is from 11.06.2009  and 0RECTOTSTCK is showing 300 which is correct.
on 10.06.2009 it is showing -300 for 0TOTALSTCK when it should be 0 since there hasn't been any data.
whats the right way to compress my cube if I don't want to load BX and how can I resolve this.
    thanks

    Hi,
The standard process to get correct values in report is
    1. First u have to do init laod from 2LIS_03_BX and u have to compress the request with 'no marker update' chk box unselected.
    2. Next u have to do init load from 2LIS_03_BF and u have to compress the request with 'no marker update' chk box selected.
    3.  Next u have to do init load from 2LIS_03_UM and u have to compress the request with 'no marker update' chk box selected.
    4. Normally u can run delta loads from BX and BF data sources. ( Compression is not mandatory. Even if u compress it will improve the performance)

  • Inventory Management - Current and forecasted Inventory/Stock

    Hello,
I just wanted to know the tables in Material Management related to Inventory, where I can get the inventory detials.
Any table names, any field details will be appreciated and rewarded.
I have to build a report for all materials in the system where I have to display the
    Safety Stock
    Onhand Inventory
$ value of On Hand Inventory
    Forecast Quantity
    Any BAPI's/RFC's for this?
    Thank you for your help.
    Sumit.

    Hey Nitin,
    Thanks for following up.
The report i have to develop looks like this
              Apr-05 May-05 Jun-05 Jul-05 Aug-05 .....
    Plant1:
    Material 1:
    Safety Stock
    Onhand Inventory
    $ value of On Hand
    Forecast Quantity
    Material 2:
    Safety Stock
    Onhand Inventory
    $ value of On Hand
    Forecast Quantity
    Material 3:
    Safety Stock
    Onhand Inventory
    $ value of On Hand
    Forecast Quantity
    Plant2:
My main problem is getting periodic data. When we run MCBZ Current Requirements/Stocks: Basic List, we get the data for a particular time period, But the report that needs to be developed needs this in a matrix for all the time periods between two days.
MVER has a yearly indicator, but there is there a way for me to know periodic values smaller than that - like monthly.
MARD is much better. There is the year and the month in consideration in the fields Year current period, and current period.
MARC, with this table, I have the same problem as MVER. I dont even have the year in the table.
EKBE, I have no idea now a purchase order is related to determining Stock and OnHand inventory, although I know that goods delivered as a result of purchase order are the stock/inventory. There is the Year, Posting Date, Document Date entries here. I dont know how these will tie into the periodic stock determination.
MSEG, There is the fiscal year here. MKPF has the document date, posting date, and entry date. I can use this as  a starting point by putting the material posting date in "buckets" each representing one periodic summary.
Any more hints on how I can tie it all together.
    Thanks
    Sumit.

  • Difference between G/L Balance and Inventory Audit Report

    Hi All,
while checking the G/L ledger for Inventory account and the Inventory Audit report, there is a difference between the amounts posted. The closing balance till 31/03/09 is fine but afterwards the balance is not matchin at all. I hav tried to check between various posting dates but still there are differences. Any suggestions why there are differences and how should i check them??
    Thanks in advance,
    Joseph

The GL account and the Inventory audit report will not tie for a couple of reasons:
    - You have posted directly (JE) to your Inventory account.  These amount since they are NOT tied to a Item in a transaction will not appear in the Inventory audit report.  The Inventory account(s) should be treated like a control account (enthough they
cannot be set as one in SAP B1) and should not be posted to directly outside of the Item Inventory Transaction (GRPO, AP Inv, AR INV, DN, AR CM, AP CM, etc...) I have alos seen these posting when GL determinations are setup incorretly or when users use the inventory account in Stock Posting (staock taking) transactions
    - you have legacy issues resulting in audit report entries relating back to pre SP01 2005 days.
To get these details analyzed by SAP for free along with the recomended corrections please contact your partner for a free Inventory Verification analysis   Your partner can take a copy of your DB backup and create a support message under SBO-MM-IVC and SAP support will analyse these differenes and show you the recommended changes.
    hope this helps
