QuarkXpress 7.3 and CS3 Photoshop crash on print

Question

I have looked on quark's forums, and have found nothing. Both Quark and Ilustrator crash when I try to print to an IKON. Other programs, word, Acrobat etc print fine. I cmd-p and the window comes up, but when I press 'printer' option I get a beach-ball and then Quark or Illustrator crash with no warning. I updated the CUPS filter with no avail. Please help!!

I had a look around the EFI site and all I could find was a press release about the Pro 80. I will keep looking and try my contact at EFI also.
Looking at the specs, it says that it uses the new system 8 architecture. Therefore I would have thought that the drivers would already be written in Universal Binary?
Anyway, as a test, you could look at using the Canon imagePRESS-Q1 UB driver, which we use on our imagePRESS-C1. It uses the same architecture as the Pro 80, so while it may not give you perfect output on the IKON it would at least let you see if this driver causes the same issues with CS3. Certainly has been okay for us.
