Queries in ASCP

Hi,
Is there a way to include additional columns in the Query Output.. Currently you are given a selection criteria, ie Planner equals = Raw Material, Buyer equals = John Smith,Item, etc.. .. The Query will provide back the output data with the items and descriptions but not list the Buyer or Planner in the columns.
Any input, other scenarios you have are greatly appreciated.
Also, if there are any docs on using Queries, please send the link ...
Thanks in Advance,
Nadi

Did you try the right mouse button click in one of the columns when the list appears and then select "Show field"? In the list with field names you might find the field you are looking for.
Another option is to create folder in which you make the query with the selection you want to see.

  • ASCP should plan production of all lines of a Sales Order in the same IO

    Requirement details:
    1) We are running an ECC plan in OPM environment (Constrained Classic)
    2) There are 20+ manufacturing plants – all are equally capable of manufacturing any item
    3) Sourcing rules define the sequence in which plants should be loaded (first plant X, go to plant Y when capacity in plant X is full. Go to plant Z when capacity in plant Y is full… and so on.)
    4) Sales Orders are entered in a fashion where 1 SO = 1 container.
    5) There are 5-20 lines per sales order (for items A, B, C, D etc). Together, these items constitute a full container load (FCL)
    6) The composition of this FCL will vary from one Sales Order to another (e.g., customer 1 takes items A,B,C; customer 2 takes A,B,D; customer 3 takes A,B,C,D)
    7) To avoid transfers between plants, all lines of one SO should be assigned to same plant for production – even if that means delaying the shipment. The container will be loaded in that plant itself – instead of transferring it to a distribution center.
    As per our understanding, ASCP does not support such a requirement. We attempted the following:
    1) Defined following profiles:
    MSC: Maximum number of planned orders per demand = 1
    MSO: Maximum Demands per Group = 1
    MSO: Maximum Demands per Slice = 1
    2) Defined Demand Priority Rules:
    Schedule Date – 1
    Sales Orders, Forecasts & MDS Entries Priority – 2
    3) If there are 10 SOs with the same Scheduled Ship Date, they were given Planning Priority as 1, 2, 3 … 10
    4) All lines of a sales order were assigned the same ship set.
    With all the above settings, we could not achieve our goal. Any suggestions from the ASCP Gurus?

    Hi Navneet,
    Thank you for your reply. To answer your queries:
    (1) We have a dummy inventory org mentioned as ship-from org in all SOs (calling it 'dummy' - as physically there is no such IO). This is done because the marketing team does not know from which IO material will be shipped (we do not have GOP in scope).
    (2) Sourcing rules mention that a demand in the dummy IO can be met by orgs X, Y, Z etc (each one with 100% allocation, ranks 1, 2, 3 etc). There are no sourcing rules for transfers between X, Y and Z.
    (3) The intent is to fulfill a SO from single org with none of the items internally sourced from other orgs.

  • How to know if a sales order exists in ASCP

    does any of you have any query to define if a particular sales order exists in ASCP ?
    can anyone provide me with one ?
    thanks!!

    Hi ,
    As a suggestion you could do it in two steps.
    1. Create a predefined query in the planners workbench that queries and returns all sales orders in the plan (Criteria: Order Type = Sales Orders).
    2. when you execute this it will bring back all the sales orders onto the supply/demand form. Here you can query again on the order number column for the speciific order or export the output onto a spreadsheet and search from there.
    Hope this helps.

  • ASCP Collections spawned Refresh Collection Snapshot taking longer

    Hello Experts,
    In a decentralized deployment, Refresh Snapshots spawned by ASCP Collections takes longer than the refresh snapshot launched as standalone request.
    It looks like the program runs for long on the following queries
    SELECT bic.component_item_id,
    bic.component_quantit y
    FROM MRP_SN_BOMS bom,
    MRP_SN_INV_COMPS bic,
    MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS msi1,

    WHERE bom.assembly_item_id =
    :inventory_item_id
    AND bom.organiz ation_id = :organization_id
    AND msi1.inventory_item_id = bo
    m.assembly_item_id
    AND msi1.organization_id =
    bom.organizat ion_id
    AND bom.alternate_bom_designator IS NULL
    AND b ic.bill_sequence_id =
    bom.common_bill_sequence_id
    AND bic.e ffectivity_date <

    AND NVL(bic .disable_date, :g_scheduled_completion_date + 1) >
    :g_scheduled_completion_date
    AND bic.WIP_ SUPPLY_TYPE = 6
    AND msi2.inventory_item_id =
    bic.component_ item_id
    AND msi2.organization_id =
    msi1.organization_id A ND NOT (msi1.AUTO_CREATED_CONFIG_FLAG='Y'
    AND msi1.base_item_id IS NOT NULL
    AND (msi2.BOM_ITEM_TYPE = 1
    OR msi2.BOM_ ITEM_TYPE = 2))
    SELECT ORGANIZATION_ID,
    PLANNED_QUANTITY,
    PRIMARY_ITEM_ID,
    QUANTITY_COMPLETED,
    SCHEDULED_COMPLETION_DATE,
    SCHEDULED_START_DATE,
    WIP_ENTITY_ID,
    RN
    FROM MRP_SN_FLOW_SCHDS
    WHERE RN >= -1
    AND PLANNED_QUANTITY > QUANTITY_COMPLETED
    And the data volume seems very small, we have 30K items , less than
    250 resources, no BOM.
    If we run the Refresh collection snapshot as a standalone request on
    Source/EBS instance, it completes in less than 5 mins. Only when it is
    launched vial collections/db link, we are seeing this performance
    issue.
    We are on 12.1.3.4.
    DBAs are not willing to modify the init.ora parameter mvrefresh_use_stats unless this is very specific.
    Any help on this would be very helpful.

    Is this issue resolved? If not can you throw some more information along the below questions.
    Is the planning manager up and running? What about the firm planned flag? Is there any open quantity on job to be completed? Does this job show up on the view supply/demand screen on the txn instance?

  • ASCp - Planner Workbench, PO in receicing order type record

    Dear Friends,
    In ASCP, Planner Workbench ,under a plan, supply and ddemand screen has an order type "PO in receicving" with firm flag enabled with future date for due dates
    We could see all the PO's for that item is closed. On hand Quantities also got increased based on that PO receipts.
    Can you please let me know, what does that mean by "PO in receicving" order type record and how for a closed PO's it is being shown?
    Thanks,
    Ganesh

    Hi Ganesh,
    The closed PO's should not be there and shouldn't have PO in Receiving status either.
    But the reason why you must be seeing this is because there is still a record in MTL_SUPPLY for this PO with supply type code as RECEIVING and hence its still
    appearing in ASCP.
    Please go by the below article if the supply is still shown in RECEIVING but PO's are completed and run the mentioned queries to diagnose and get the inventory transaction fixed.
    Fully Received / Delivered / Finally Closed Po Line Still Appearing in Item Supply / Demand Form MS and RS (Doc ID 1364291.1)
    Moreover, if you started seeing this issue more often then the best way is to put the piece of code in the collections hook i.e MSC_CL_CLEANSE API to purge the supplies from ODS if PO's are closed for those.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek Sharma

  • Work Order not appearing in ASCP workbench

        I have a sales order for 1 unit for an ATO item and a WO for the same item has been created by progressing the SO.
    WO is also marked as FIRM in the Discrete jobs form.
    MRP net quantity on WO is 1.
    SO is past due.
    WO completion date is 14th August 2014
    WO status is UNRELEASED
    Upon the running the unconstrained plan, the sales order appears and a planned order is created.
    Why is the WO not shown in the ASCP workbench?
    Note: Before i marked the WO as firm, it was shown in the workbench and was pegged to the SO. But not after marking it as FIRM in the Discrete jobs form.

    Can you check if your job is present in this view mrp_ap_wip_jobs_v and if not then check the underlying queries filtering job out..
    Also what is the job status, please note that out of all the below statuses only the below bold one are collected.

  • Production schedule from ASCP module

    Hi,
    Our users would like to know if we can have production schedule for all Finished goods items from ASCP.
    I believe horizontal plan can be used to know the schedule but it is only for one item. Is there any User interface or report which we can use to get the production schedule of all finished goods.
    P.s. we are not using Oracle Production scheduling module.

    You will have to
    1) Use planning detail report but it is a bit of a pain to setup
    2) Write personal queries on workbench screen (works similar to folders but better)
    3) Write a report / query to extract data from tables

  • Performance of ASCP Planner Workbench

    Hi All,
    I am facing a strange issue with ASCP Planner Workbench. We got a centralized instance. For TST instance, complete refresh is run and data is collected. Gather Schema Statistics run successfully with 40%. ASCP plan is run successfully.
    Now while opening planner workbench, the planner workbench query hangs. Few queries work but then hangs again for the next step. Foe example: - If I run query to find specific item then query hangs. If it runs successfully ( after a long time) and I want to query Supply and Demand for specific item then again it hangs.
    This is highly frustrating situation.
    Request your input on what can be the issue and the resolutions if any.

  • Could I have CASE or IF statement in FMS queries?

    Is it possible to have case statements in FMS queries:
    For example:
    SELECT T0.[U_DepoistfeeON] case
          when T0.[U_DepoistfeeON] is NOT BLANK  then $[$38.111.160]='Deposit Fee'
          when T0.[U_DepoistfeeON] is BLANK  then  then $[$38.111.160]=BLANK
    end FROM OITM T0
    What is wrong with above query please? Thank you very much.
    I do not mind even if above query is doable with an IF statement in it.

    Hi Rahul, this is what I want -
    I have a user defined field attached to item master OITM. The field is called : U_DepoistfeeON
    The above field contains additional depositFee taxes for selling beer bottles.
    I have also created a new tax as part of Freight handling. While on Sales Order screen, the Freight (unhide first through forms field) drop down can have the new tax type selected automatically "Deposit Fee".
    Thus, if the line item is of beer type that has U_DepositfeeON, then Freight field should automaticlally pick the type "Deposit Fee".
    If U_DepositfeeON is zero then I would like the Freight field on Sales Order screen ($38.111.160) set to blank.
    I tried to achieve this through following using case statement.
    select T0.U_DepoistfeeON
    from oitm t0
    case
    when T0.U_DepoistfeeON 0
    then $http://$38.111.160='Deposit Fee'
    when T0.U_DepoistfeeON = 0
    then $http://$38.111.160=''
    else
    $http://$38.111.160=''
    end;
    Of course it doesn't work. Note: I know I typed in DepoistfeeON, the error is not due to that.
    Thanks.

  • How to Dene a Data Link Between Queries: Bind Variables

    This is an interesting topic and I cannot get it to work using Bind Variables.

  • How to use one WAD template for all the available queries

    Hi,
    I have created a WAD template... Now we have close to 25 queries which will use that template for displaying their output at Portal...
    Is there any way that i don`t have to create multiple copies of my WAD template...
    I.e. all queries would call that same template through portal...

    Hi,
    The Bex report uses the Standard Template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN while it is executed.
    So if your sure that the look and feel of all the Reports is going to remain same, you don't need to even attach all these Queries to Templates in WAD.
    When you execute the BEx query, it would pick up the standard template and run it in portal.
    But if you want to customize the Report Template:
    1) You can change this standard template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN  and customize it according to ur requrement in WAD.
    2) Or you can create a copy of this standard template and change it as required. Then change the template in spro (transaction RSCUSTV27) to point to this Z template.
    Let me know if you need more details.

    2. While running the BEx report/query in Bex Analyzer, I'm getting ERROR in entering the parameters, its NOT allowing / giving me option to select the parameters, for example for 0COSTCENTER, it is NOT displaying list costcenters to select before I can RUN that particular report.
    3. How can I trouble shoot ERRORs related to BEx and Portal connectivity.
    4. How would I setup the Variants for a Bex query/report ? Are these Variants for per user basis / per report basis. Can I have each variant for particular users OR all users must select their own variant each time when they RUN the report ?
    Thanks, Sorry I have asked multiple questions, in jst one thread.

    Goto SE03 -->Search for Objects in Requests/Tasks  option , select the object type and execute it will give all the transports it has collected before ..
    Also you can use transport connection in RSA1 and select the query and find out all the objects in query locked by what request etc ..

  • Error while transporting Queries

    Hi,
    I am getting this error while transporting queries!!
    Object '!ZTIC_UKA' (ELEM) of type 'Query' is not available in version 'A'
    Message no. RSO252
    Diagnosis
    You wanted to generate an object with the name '!ZTIC_UKA' (in transport request ELEM) of type 'Query' (TLOGO). This is, however, not available in the BW Repository database. It does not exist in the requested version A. If the version is 'D' then it is possible that an error arose during the delivery or installation. If the version is 'A' then the Object was either not created or not activated.
    System Response
    The object was not taken into account in the next stage of processing
    Thanks

    Hi Murali,
    YOu are trying to transport the element ZTIC_UKA'  of the query,may be an variable  which is not colelcted in the request.
    Try to transport the query through RSA1> Transport connection->Query-->give you query name -->Drag and Drop to Right hand side  and Click on collect all dependent objects and check whetehr they have collected in the same request.Make sure ur variables are collected.
    Tranport it now and Check.

  • Problem using DECODE() function with a Query of Queries

    I
    posted
    on my blog about an issue I was having trying to use the PL/SQL
    DECODE() function with a Coldfusion Query of Queries. This function
    works fine when you query a database for information. However, when
    you query another query, it seems that CF doesn't recognize it. I
    got errors stating that it found a left parenthesis where it
    expected a FROM key word. Here is a simplified version of what I am
    trying to do:
    quote:
    <!--- Simulated query; similar to what I was calling from
    my database --->
    <cfscript>
    qOriginal = queryNew("Name,Email,CountryCode",
    "VarChar,VarChar,VarChar");
    newRow = queryAddRow(qOriginal, 5);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "Name", "Joe", 1);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "Email", "[email protected]", 1);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "CountryCode", "AMER", 1);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "Name", "Sally", 2);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "Email", "[email protected]", 2);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "CountryCode", "AMER", 2);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "Name", "Bob", 3);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "Email", "[email protected]", 3);
    querySetCell(qOriginal, "CountryCode", "ASIA", 3);

    FROM qOriginal
    ORDER BY CountryCode
    </cfquery>
    <cfdump var="#qCountries#">
    <!--- ========== END OF CODE ========== --->
    So running this returned the following error:
    Query Of Queries syntax error.
    Encountered "(. Incorrect Select Statement, Expecting a
    'FROM', but encountered '(' instead, A select statement should have
    a 'FROM' construct.
    Does anybody know why this doesn't work? Is it just not
    supported? Please note that I have also tried to use the CASE()
    function instead of DECODE() and that resulted in basically the
    same error. For now I an looping over my distinct query with a
    switch statement and manually loading a new query with the data how
    I want it. But it would be a lot cleaner and less code to have the
    DECODE() to work. Thx!

    DECODE() is an Oracle function, not generic SQL. Q-of-Q is a
    very limited subset of SQL and lacks many functions and clauses
    available in standard SQL, especially what you may be used to using
    in your particular RDBMS.
