  • Created new dev account - what to do about profiles, certificates, etc. with my apps?

I have a series of about 20 apps which I published under my own name rather than a company name. At the time I took out the original account, I didn't realise that I couldn't change the name of the account later.
So, I bought another dev account a few days ago, transferred all my apps' ownership on iTunes Connect, but now I am wondering what exactly I should be doing on my Mac regarding profiles, certificates, etc. so that all my further development on these, and other apps, will be under the company account rather than my own.
    Any help on this appreciated.

They might refund it if you ask nicely.
To be honest, I don't know what you should do given what you already done (regarding profiles, etc.).
Why not ask Apple while you're asking for the refund and having them change your original individual account to a company account?  Then let us know what you find out.

  • Few questions about Profile Manager

As i know, profile manager will install the following profile on the enrolled iPad.
    - Trust Profile > Code Signing Certificate
    - Remote Management > Device Managment Identiity Certificate
But the validation of above certificates just 1 year by defaults.
    My questions are:
    1.  Is there any way can regenerate the certificate for 10 years? Due to i don't want to re-enroll the iPad every year.
    2.  The vaild period of Device Managment Identiity Certificate is "The date of enrollment" to "The date of enrollment + 1 year". (e.g: 1/6/2012 - 1/6/2013) I would like to know if this certifcate expired, what will happen?

Well, I know this is an old thread but did you ever find out? Mine expired and everything stopped working. Couldn't push any settings or update device info. I got a button dialog on the profile in Settings saying "This profile has expired. Update this profile for a newver version. [Update Profile]" - which didn't work. I ultimately re-enrolled, but I could imagine it being a nightmare to re-enroll a large number of devices.

  • About Profile manager renew code signing cert

I am using the profile manager service in Mac OS X 10.7 Server.
My code signing cert just got expired, and the serial no. is 1. So i followed the apple guide to renew the cert in terminal
    ipad:~ test$ sudo /usr/sbin/certadmin --recreate-CA-signed-certificate "ipad.example.com" "IntermediateCA_IPAD.EXAMPLE.COM_1" 1
/usr/sbin/certadmin Cannot find the certificate: ipad.example.com
I can renew the another one successfully but only this cannot renew, I don't know why (maybe related to the serial? too short?)
Anyone know how to solve it?
    Thank you very much
BTW, Any method can generate the cert for 10 years or renew the cert without re-enroll the device? because I don't want renew the cert every year and ask user enroll again.

  • I have uninstalled and reinstalled, but still get the same error message about profile missing or inaccessible--what do I do now?

When I opened the profiles folder there were folders missing (less folders than were shown on the help page). I tried using a restore point, but that did not work either. I don't know what else to do. :( I cannot access the manual fix steps because the browser will not open, so that is useless information.

    See:
This is usually caused by a problem with the profiles.ini file and the profile marked as Default=1 in this file is no longer present on the hard drive.
    *Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\<br>C:\Users\&lt;user&gt;\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\&lt;profile&gt;\
    *Linux: ~/.mozilla/firefox/
    *Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/
You can use one of these to make Firefox create/use a new default profile:
*Delete the profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new default profile
*Use the Profile Manager to create a new profile
*Use "Choose Folder" when you create a new profile to select the location of a lost profile and recover this profile

  • About profiling a Shared Object

Hi, I need to profile a shared object compiled with Gcc/G++ 3.2.
I have sources for this shared object and can recompile it, but this DLL is executed by an executable of which i don't have sources and most of all I can't recompile it.
How can I successfully profile my SO?
    I'm using on a "SunOS mxgf 5.8 Generic_117350-12 sun4us sparc FJSV,GPUZC-M" machine.
    Thanks,

The Sun Studio performance tools support profiling gcc/g++
compiled code. You don't need to have the a.out compiled for
profiling. It will only affect whether or not you can see source-level
data for the a.out, not what you can see for methods in the
shared object. You must use the native libc.so, however.
I would recommend the latest FCS of the Studio tools, Sun Studio 11.
You will need to install patch 01, which is available now, or patch 02
which will be released very soon, since there's a bug relating
to demangling in the FCS version.

  • About profile

    Hello,
what is relationship between role and profile in SU01?
    Many thanks,
    Frank

    Hello,
The role is the combination of t-codes, reports, urls.under the menu option in pfcg t-code we can find these
things.when ever u generate a role one profile wil be generated that depends upon the assigned authrorizations.if authorizations are more than 150 role   itself create the composit profile for that role.
As per my knowlege the foundation pf SAP authorization management is based onauthorization objects. These objects defin what a wser can do, and to  which SAP objects.Such a defination is calles authorization.
Multiple authorizationa are combined to create an authorization profile. In SAP,an authorization profile is assinmed to a user role.User assigned to the role have the authorization to execute the defined business activities.
For example ,the users assingned to the R_RUN_QUERIES roles can Display,Execute,Enter,Include and Assign Calculated Key figure,Query,Restricted key figure and Template structure.

  • Querry about Launchd behaviour

I'm trying to identify the causes of a certain malfunctioning.
I would appreciate advice on this specific issue:
I see this string repeated every ten seconds in Console:
    "- com.apple.launchd.peruser.503[121] (com.babylon.activation[775]): posix_spawn("/Library/Application Support/Babylon/Babylon Activation.app/Contents/MacOS/Babylon Activation", ...): No such file or directory"
Of course, I don' thave a Babylon in that place. The question is why launchd calls this application every 10 sec and how to stop it.
    I am on a MacBook Pro (8,2), 2011, running MacOSX 10.6.8.
    Thanks in advance

It sounds as if you may have a Babylon .plist file somewhere that is responsible for launchd's behaviour, and that .plist is looking for a file in that particular location, which isn't there.
    This tutorial may help: http://launchd.info/
A quicker way to track down the culprit would be to do a Spotlight search for Babylon and see what comes up.

  • I tried to uninstall firefox and to install again on linux mint. Now firefox ask every time for a profile,i never make a profile before and this is a serious problem to me.Firefox can't open and work like before the uninstall

Hi,i am running linux mint.I tried to change the firefox folder from the file system with a new firefox folder cause i had a problem with one extension(download statusbar). So,after that i have problem, firefox ask me about profile and after some tests about it from me,firefox always says"this profile its allready in use, make a new profile or rename one profile".I don't know anything about profiles, first time i see that i can make a profile it's now.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, maybe after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

  • Internet Shortcuts saved on Desktop open new instance of Firefox 3.6 using clean profile--how can I make it open all shortcuts using current profile?

I rely heavily on Firefox's profiling ability to assist me in my web design projects. Lately, using Firefox 3.6, I have run into some problems with how it opens Internet Shortcuts that are saved locally (i.e.- shortcuts that reside on my Desktop). When I double-click on one of these shortcuts, a new instance of Firefox 3.6 is loaded with the saved website from the shortcut, but it's also initialized a fresh profile (i.e.- my bookmarks are gone, no add-ons, etc.--it's as if it uses some sort of "hidden" clean slate to load the shortcuts).
Is there any way to force Firefox to load all shortcuts into whatever profile I'm currently using at that given moment? I think the reason this has happened to begin with is because of the fact that I did some stuff to Internet Explorer awhile back that caused some problems with the Internet Shortcut associations and it all led to this eventuality.
I'm running Windows XP Pro and have the following profiles with my Firefox versions:
    "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox 3.6\firefox.exe" -no-remote -p Firefox3.6
    "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox N\firefox.exe" -no-remote -p FirefoxN
    "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox 3\firefox.exe" -no-remote -p Firefox3
    "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox 2\firefox.exe" --no-remote -p Firefox2
When I go into the "Folder Options / File Types" and double-click on "Internet Shortcut", I have the following within the "Advanced" settings (for the "open" action):
    Action: open
Application used to perform action: rundll32.exe shdocvw.dll,OpenURL %l
    "Use DDE" is checked...
    "DDE Message" is blank...
    "Application" is "shdocvw"...
"DDE Application Not Running" is blank...
    "Topic" is "System"
Again, I think the root problem here is to do with the profiles and how they're handled when being opened with Firefox but I can't discern how to apply a fix with all this as I've obviously goobered this up a bit. I would really appreciate some professional knowledge on this and would prefer to avoid any reinstalls of anything if possible.

To save your sanity with this issue, my advice is to find a method other than desktop shortcuts to open those URL's.
    1. Desktop shortcuts are going to open the Default Browser.
    a. With multiple versions of Firefox installed that would be the last version that was installed when you have Firefox set as the Default Browser in Windows..
    b. The Default Browser is going to use the Profile that shows a Default=1 in the profiles.ini file.
    c. The Default Browser with the Default Profile isn't going to open if you have any other versions of Firefox already running, and the -no-remote command line parameter doesn't work in this situation.
    2. The use of multiple Profiles and multiple versions isn't officially supported by Mozilla, and all the Bug reports that I have ever read about Requests for Enhancement have been WONTFIX'd by the developers. Basically we have to work with the limitations in Firefox and maybe improvise work arounds by ourselves. I've even seen a few threats about removing Profiles altogether in RFE Bug reports about Profiles.
I have had so many problems over the years with this Default Browser / Default Profile thing over the years that personally I find it easier to just set Opera as the Default Browser in Windows rather than have a Profile get b0rked because some other program I am using decides it wants to open the Default Browser unexpectedly. I don't use Opera for much, but it is a lot better than IE for purposes of being the Default Browser, considering the quirks I have seen with Firefox and multiple Profiles.
I have written a number of postings over at the MozillaZine Builds forum over the years about installing multiple versions of Firefox and using multiple Profiles. There's a lot of tips and comments provided by other multiple Profile users in one of those threads. Why don't you read those threads and see if it gives you some ideas or solutions I haven't thought of.

  • I need to retrieve my bookmarks from another laptop which doesn't boot to Windows any more. I have managed to copy the Firefox Profiles folder from that laptop - how do I now import bookmarks to a new laptop?

I've tried replacing the contents of the old Profile folder into the new folder and I have also tried just replacing the urlclassifier3.sqlite file, but that doesn't work either.
Googling hasn't helped me over the last 24 hours but surely there must be a way to do this - right?
    Many thanks,
    Anthony

Yes, there is a way to restore your bookmarks from your old laptop to the new one. Note that just replacing the contents of old Profiles folder will not work because your profiles.ini file contains a different profile name.
For steps on how to restore your bookmarks, please read this article: [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing%20up%20your%20information Backing up your information].

I am migrating stuff over to my new windows 8 computer from an old xp system.I copied on cd old profile from it and now am having a hell of time getting into the firefox program to work.I can see two profile ,each with default and large file contents.Unfortunately.the dates modified are same and I am confused which is which and vice versa and how to correct this.I would appreciate any help with this if anyone has time .

  • Embedded profile mismatch after saving Indesign to PDF, what to do  please???

After importing some pica's from photoshop to indesign and saving it as a pdf, I noticed that my colours are totally wrong.
    I now get the message:
    Embedded profile mismatch
The document's embedded colour profile does not match the current RGB working space.
The current RGB colour management policy is to discard profiles that do not match the working space.
    Embedded: Adobe RGB (1998)
    Working: sRGB IEC61966-2.1
What do I have to do to make sure the chosen colours stay as they are??? I read something about a PDF/X-standard and
the possibility to copy a file from one to another map, but I'm totally lost now.
Can this be solved with the printerguy by asking joboptions???
    Just Pannicing ........
    Thnx upfront, Marjolein

That depends on how much you care about profile mismatches. you can turn off the warning dialog in Edit> Color Settings by unchecking the "ask when opening" button. Otherwise, you might want to note the document profile, then set your application back to that.

  • Profile changed back after fixing it

3.6 installed itself this morning. I guess I chose the wrong item, as your profile manager did not explain what was going on. I did not choose default. After not getting my settings, I looked here, and found out about profiles for 3.6. The NEW profile had been created in C:\Users\Public. I then copied all of my old (only) profile to this new location. I restarted Firefox and found my settings again, though I had to reset ForecastFox settings. During this session I set several bookmarks. Then after my session, I went on to other things. I then returned to Firefox and found that all my settings (and bookmarks) were gone. I then found out how to start the Profile Manager and this time chose default. Something is very wrong about how you went about this.

Sorry that you had the problems you described after the Firefox program update, but that isn't the way Firefox is supposed to work or even does work if something went wrong as a result of an update or any other problem. Five or 6 years ago the developers changed the Profile Manager so that it doesn't appear when there's a problem; all Firefox 1.5 and later versions show a "Profile is already running ..." message instead of showing the Profile Manager window. <br />
    http://home.comcast.net/~the-edmeister/images/fx-boxes/1.5-warning-box_Firefox_is_running-small.png
    1. The Profile Manager is a hidden implementation detail that the user should never see, unless they use the correct command line switch to bring it up. Someone did something with your Firefox installation for you to see the Profile Manager after the Firefox update - that's not how Firefox works under normal circumstances, or even when there's a glitch in the update.
    2. After a Firefox update or upgrade, will use the "Last Used" Profile per the setting in the '''profiles.ini''' file, the one marked Default=1, regardless of the name of that Profile - the Profile having "default" in the Profile name has no influence on that.
    3. Firefox will never create a new Profile anywhere except the correct location - C:\Documents and Settings\''user''\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\ - on WinXP and W2K, other OS's have their own default locations. <br />
The user has to click a button during the creation of a new Profile, and select the location they want, for the new Profile to be located - for it to end up in a location such as C:\Users\Public, that you mentioned. Firefox just plain won't do that without user input. <br />
'''Do not''' even consider using the Profile Manager to remove the Profile in that location, because if you have data or files from another program in the same folder that "someone" placed that Profile in, you are going to everything in that folder - the Firefox Profile files and everything else! By design for large scale corporate installations, that is the preferred action, and the developers refuse to change that action as "normal" users shouldn't be using the Profile Manager or using non-default locations for Profiles to begin with.
