Query created in BW dev, modified in BW Q and want to transport from Q to P

Hello all,
I have created query in BW dev and then transported to BW qa, we had to modifed the query in BWqa system. There are a lot of queries we have done like this.
Now I want to transport only the queries (BEX objects) from Qa to Prod staright away, can that we done. If yes, do we have to create new package for transporting the bex objects.
Also how do we change the assigned packages on the elements which are not modified/created in QA since they already have package assigned to them wheich was created in BW dev.?

What K J is trying to say is that the usual and recommendable transport path is
Dev to Quality -- Test the changes throughly
if satisfactory
DEV to Prod (the same transport needs to be imported into Prod)
else
go back to Dev and make the required changes and go back to the above step of testing in Q until sucessful.
By moving the same transport across the systems, you can ensure that all the systems are in sync. Lets say you started a query in Dev, moved it into Q and realized that you didnt add a field. Instead of coming back to Dev to do this, if you start making changes in Q (many clients do not allow this, but I've heard of some which do), collect the transport and move it into Prod...then the Q and Dev systems are out of sync! The query in Dev and that in Q are not the same.

In development you can't find the records for the table.
In testing system only you can test even the program(report).
If it is the DEV system you can't get the data.
Go and see into the table wether it has records or not(in DEV system).
It doesn't has the records in DEV system.

I had thought to do this with 2 objects--each associated with a clickbox to indicate a correct/incorrect response but this doesn't work. How can I achieve this?

Could you please explain what you want in a little more detail? I'm a bit unsure about what you want the student to indicate is either permissable or non-permissable.
If you are using Click Boxes positioned over objects that the user should click to indicate their choice, have you set the click boxes to show feedback captions?

Problems when transporting from DEV to PROD

Hi experts, I have problem during transport from DEV to Production.
We have a DEV, QAS and PRODUCTION and we have transport from DEV to QAS very well. But when we transport from DEV to PROD, recibe an error like:

How to change the standard query "Create a Master Agreement" by a custom one

Hello Sourcing CLM experts,
I would need to replace the standard query displayed when the user tries to create a Master Agreement by a custom query to filter the MA types according to some criteria:
According to this post: Re: Create security profile for a document template in SAP Sourcing, I've tried to achieve it by doing the following steps:
Create a new query as a copy of exsiting query FCI-ContractTypes
Modify query group FCI-ContractTypesBP to include my custom query instead of the standard one to only list the MAType "Standard Master Agreement"
Following you can see the change done into the query group FCI-ContractTypesBP:
However, standard query has not been replaced and same set of MA Types are listed.
Therefore, I would like to ask you:
Is it possible to do this kind of modifications? If so, which query group need to be modified?
If it is not possible, is there any other way to achieve that requirement?

Hello again experts,
If this query cannot be modified, is there any option to disable button below? Or at lease, to disable the query group to avoid the listing of MA Types when it is pressed?
The reason is because we are going to set up the system in the way that only it will be possible to create Master Agreements from Template. However, if user keep on using that button he will be able to create MA from document types.
Any ideas?

Creating Data Driven Subscription does not allow me to get Auto copy from Query.

I am trying to create a data driven Subscription for sharepoint document Library. I have a table I populate with values. Then a stored procedure that exec and returns the values. I use this in my data driven subscription.

I can use all the values and it creates my subscription no problem as long as I do not try to use the autocopy.
If I select Use no Value all works great.
If I select Specify a static Value and then choose True it gives me an error The AutoCopy Delivery setting cannot be set to True if the WriteMode Delivery setting is not set to Overwrite. as you can see that value is set to overwrite. If I use
hard coded word OverWrite instead of getting it from query it works.
If I do the same step above but select False it seems to work as well.
If I try to choose the value from the query then it errors with the generic Sorry Something went wrong. I cannot find any value in url logs.

I have reproduced the same issue as you encountered. If you choose both value for the fields(WriteMode and AutoCopy) from query, SharePoint will result in an error page. I finally fixed the issue by manually updating the table
dbo.Subscriptions from the reporting service database. To make this, please first copy the value of field
ExtensionSettings from the subscription table.
Change the WRITEMODE and AUTOCOPY from "<ParameterValue><Name>WRITEMODE</Name><Value>Overwrite</Value></ParameterValue> <ParameterValue><Name>AUTOCOPY</Name><Value>AutoCopy</Value></ParameterValue>"
to "<ParameterValue><Name>WRITEMODE</Name><Field>strWriteMode</Field></ParameterValue> <ParameterValue><Name>AUTOCOPY</Name><Field>strAutoCopy</Field></ParameterValue>".
Here Value means the static value, and field means the name of the query field. After you modify it, copy the settings back to field
ExtensionSettings or use update SQL to update it.
At last, your data driven subscription should be like this:

af:query marks the DataControl as modified

Hi guys,
I am developing an ADF Rich Faces application with JDeveloper 11g. I am using <af:query> search forms. When I enter a value in some criteria field in a search form, then the corresponding DataControl gets marked as modified (DataControl.isTransactionModified() starts returning <true>). I suspect that this is because each setAttribute() method invocation through a value data binding marks the DataControl as modified. Quick query forms (<af:quickQuery>) do not mark the DataControl as modified.
I do not want the DataControl to be marked as modified because my application checks for pending changes this way (using DataControl.isTransactionModified() method). Note that the current status (enabled/disabled) of standard Commit and Rollback action bindings is wired to this method too.
Note, also, that the method ApplicationModule.getTransaction().isDirty() is not appropriate for checking for pending changes because when I create and insert a new empty row in some ViewObject then the Transaction object becomes "dirty" automatically without any real data modifications.
Does anybody know if I could either avoid or workaround this effect of <af:query> forms?

We have this problem to. it must be a bug.
Also we had other problems when we have <af:query> in transaction forms like validations fire when 'Advanced search' button is pressed
So we splited query forms from transaction forms or put <af:query> in popup
we still use ApplicationModule.getTransaction().isDirty() since we want to know changes also for new rows (since you cant distinguish if data are added to new row or not)

How to find out the query created in which system like Dev or ACC or Prod.
For ex. I want to find the queries directly created in Production.

Hi,
unfortunately there is no tool for that. So I think one way is to compare the content of table rszeltdir in both systems. Restrict the output on deftp = 'REP' and check the fields mapname and txtsh and txtlg. If you have the queries identified, check if they are assigned to a development class/packet in the productive system. If this is not the case, you have your candidates for deletion. You can then delete the queries using transaction rszdelete.

PS: you may run rszdelete anyways, as you can check a box there for temporary objects only (those will be the ones in question)

BEx Query objects transported from Dev to Prod Test do not overwrite

Hello,
I'm migrating BEx queries that were developed in a Dev instance and then packaged and imported into a prod test environment. The queries that already exist in qual are not overwritten with the changes, and the transport imports successfully. New queries import just fine and without issue. I'm not sure if this is a problem with how I am packaging the query for transport or some level of pre-work that is not being done in Prod test. Basis has confirmed that they are allowing re-writes when Importing.
Any suggestions?

Hi ,
Whenever we create a query in the System it generates reference ID's ( ELTUID,SELTUID,COMPUID etc) in backend.
For e.g.if you create a query in your quality system (Z_TEST) it will have a COMPUID generated for it (e.g ABCD).
Now when you create a query in Dev system (with the same technical name Z_TEST) a new COMPUID will get generated (e.g EFGH)
So when you transport Z_TEST to QUALTY ,it will create a new entry against COMPUID.thus having two instances of the same query.So best option would be to delete the old instance after transporting the new instance.
This wil solve your problem.

Transports, M version of query element missing in Dev

Hello
We're trying to import transports to a system copy of our Development system but when trying to do so we get an error in RS_AFTER_IMPORT saying "Element XYZ is missing in version M". (The transports comes form Dev). The element is a Text-variable
When checking in table RSZELTDIR in Dev-Copy I do only see A and D versions of the element XYZ. The same is true in Dev. But in QUA and PROD the element exists in A, D and M versions.
Is this normal? And how do we do if the transport strategy is to Transport between Dev and Dev-Copy?

However the same transport has entered QA and PROD correctly, it's only when transporting into Dev-Copy that it fails.
Scenario :
Day 1 : a system copy was taken
Day 2-10 : transports leaving Dev going to QA and PROD
Day 11 : Dev-Copy created from the system copy from Day 1
Day 12: The transports from Day 2-10 is being imported into Dev-Copy (and Query transports failing)
So the developers have collected needed objects in the first place, but something is happening when importing into Dev-Copy..... the M versions is missing in Dev-Copy (and Dev) compared to QA and PROD

I am creating Notification using transaction IW51.
In IW51 there is a button to create a sales order.
I click on sales order button and create a sales order.
Now notification and sales order are created.
Now i go in transaction VA02 and click on avalibility check push button .It gives me some popups in which i select copy all options.Then i click on save button
.At this point service order gets created.
My requirement :
Before the service order gets created i want to pass the notification data ; for ex- Equnr(Equipment number) to service order.

Photoshop CC on Windows 7 is saving the file "date" as the created date not the modified date

I have been using a much older version of PS (CS2) and just decided to update to PS CC. I have installed the trial version of PS CC and will begin the CC subscription as soon as the trial expires.
I have noticed that PS CC saves the (main) date of the files as the "created date" not the "modified date" as it pertains to Windows Explorer and the Windows OS.
Here is what is happening: I have a file that I created in 2007 that I use for a template. It is sized to specific dimensions, etc. and when I do my save as, it automatically saves into the desired file folder, so that's why I use this as a template. I setup a new photo and then drag and drop it into my template, flatten the image and save as. When doing this with PS CS2, the date for the newly saved file was assigned as the modified date (current date and time). So, when I searched for the file in Windows Explorer or when I went to open the file, the date shown for the file was the modified date. NOW, with PS CC when I perform the exact same process and do a save as, the file date shown in Windows Explorer and/or when I go to open the file is showing as the created date (3/9/2007), the date that I created and saved the template I use. This is aggravating to me because now when I want to open a file and sort by date, the date shown in Windows Explorer is not accurate. As far as I can tell, this only happens in PS CC. When I open an old file with ID CC and do a save as, it applies the current date, not the created date. And, when I was using PS CS2, whenever I did a save as the current date was applied as well.
In summary, when performing a save as, the created date is being applied as the main date instead of the modified date. The question is: Is there a way to change this so that the modified date can be applied as the main date for the file when performing a save as?

Below are two files created the exact same way on the exact same computer: the top one was saved in PS CS2 and the bottom one was saved in PS CC. Both were saved using the "Save As" command. You will notice that when the "Save As" command was used in CS2 it updated the "Created:" date, however, in the CC version the "Created:" date was not updated, only the "Modified:" date was updated. Is there a way to update the "Created:" date when performing a "Save As" in PS CC?

Query created in production system and object changeability

Hi,
The production BW has the object changeability for query elements set to 'Changeable original'. Some queries which have been created in this system can be changed, others, which have also been created in the system, can not.
All queries are assigned to the development packate $TMP. None of them have been transported anywhere, nor have they been created somewhere else and transported into the system.
The system is BW 3.5, SP 17.
Has anyone got any idea what the problem could be?

The object changeability in the system is set to 'Changeable Original' and I know where to switch from 'not changeable' to 'changeable original' to 'everything changeable'.
The normal development cycle sees reports being created in the development system and then being transported through to the production system. Here, they should not be changeable. However, users with the relevant authorisation should be able to either -
- create new copies of these reports and change them or
- create new ad-hoc reports and also change these
We have several of these reports on the production system. The object changeability is set to 'changeable original', as I mentioned. I would expect that all queries which have been created on this system and never transported (either in or out of the system) should be changeable, based on this setting. However, some are, some ar not. The error message when trying to change the 'non-changeable' ones is 'Operation falied! No error message available from the server'. If I make a copy of one of these queries, hoping to save is as an ad-hoc query and change it, the error message is 'query could not be saved due to a problem in transport'.
How come some can be changed, others can't? Is there anywhere I can check what the difference is between the changeable and non-changeable reports which have been created on the system?
