Query doesnot show data

Hi experts
we have one data validation query where I am trying to see data according to Request numbers...For every year we have two requests...one Base data request and other Restated data request...
Like that for 2009..its showing data for Base data request but not Restated data request
ITS same problem with 2010 data requests...
Do you know how to fix this problem?

Couple of things:
1. Are both the request kept in same cube?
   If yes, browse the cube data and see if you are able to see the request ID there.
   If no, then check the filter in the query and make sure that result is not filtered by infoprovider.
2. Is your query running on cube directly or running on multiprovider?
   If not, check the multiprovider definition. You can try browing the data from multiprovider and see if you are getting desired result.

Where "first table" is merch_order and "second table" is export_order1?
How many distinct orders are in each table?
Are there any NULL order numbers in either table?
I'd put money on the fact that if commenting out a clause causes a number of rows to be returned, that clause is filtering out all the rows. You'll need to go through your data to figure out why the NOT IN clause is filtering out all your rows.

Query not showing data

Hi,
I have an infoset which is on top of two ODSs.
Data for a particular cost center is present in both the ODSs.
There is no data prsent in RSISET for that CC.
Also the query is not showing any data for that CC but data is showing data
for other CC for the same date.
Please help.

Dear Sourav,
You can Check if there is some other primary Key differences in the Infosets .Have you declared only Costcenter as the Key for both the ODS Objects ?? Check the other links that you have maintained as a part of key in Infoset.

Query not showing data correctly

Hi All
i have one query on FILG cube in which FIscal period and one amount field is in columns
when i see in display data i have seen that there is a data for the period 001/2009, 002/2009 and 006/2009
but when i run the query it only display the data for the period 001/2009, 002/2009 and 006/2009 data is displayed in the overall result columns
this is happening only for one company code
please reply if anyone has came across this issue

when i run the query with selection on Fisper - 001/2009 to 006/2009 and comp code -2000
then it displays data for 001/2009, 002/2009
but the data of 006/2009 is displayed in overall result column
there should be one another column with 006/009
for example
Fiscal Year/Period 001/2009 002/2009 Overall Result
Amount Amount Amount
but when i see in listcube it shows the data for Fiscal period 001/2009, 002/2009 and 006/2009

Problem between SSMS and Report ! Filter query not showing data or showing wrong data

Hi all,
In short: I have a report with multiple values such as name of shop, postal code etc. The parameters have no default value and act as "like". If someone enters "krant" he'll get all the shop names that contain "krant" in their
name etc.
Same goes for postal code, if someone enters 2550 he'll get all data for 2550. The problem although is that if a user start with postal code as parameters and leaves the shop name empty, the shop name is not shown in my report! The other way around it works,
when I enter shop name i'll get all shops + postal code in my report.
I know this is because POS name cannot be shown in report because it's left blank, but I want my MDX query to be able to give me the POS names even if I only enter postal code.
Can someone please please look at my query below? I need to add 4 more parameters this way later on too!

Activation doesnot show data

When I see the data in the DSO "New Table", fields are populating correcting. But when activated the DSO, field values are set to "0" or set to NULL values. Please advice.

Hi Rekha,
Is there any endroutine routine in your transformations ?
If yes ,then there is an option of marking "Update behaviour of end routine" near the end routine icon, so just click on that rbutton and select radio button "All Target Fields" .As a result of this, fields filled in the end routine are not lost if there is no other active rule .
Also kindly read F1 help on that. You will get additional information there .

Discoverer Plus 10gR2 not show data when the script of view have package

I have a problem with discoverer plus, I don't know is a problem or I'm doing something wrong.
I have a four views, the views containg in the SELECT stament and WHERE clause packages, example:

When I used the views on discoverer plus for construct the report, when execute the query not show data.
Appreciate it if you could help or tell me I'm doing wrong or does not support Discoverer Plus package execution.

This appears to be a grant issue. Apparently, you have granted execute with respect to this package to the EUL owner or the view would not have compiled. If you have not given EUL owner the grant option, I would recommend doing this as well.
This appears to be an Oracle APPS EUL (tell me if I am wrong). If this is the case, it goes without saying that APPS will need to be granted the execute privilege.
Also, by default, a stored package executes with the privileges of its owner. If your custom package was designed this way, are the objects which it references received the appropriate grant? I assume you tested this, but I am concerned that the line, a.prod = k_xps_tools.f_obt_prod, in the where clause could be resulting in the Null set being returned.

PLD Report does not show data from Query

Hello,
SAP b1 9.0 PL08 on MSSQL 2008 and I get data on the query, but when the PLD prints, it shows nothing. Is there a way to filter the data that the PLD shows? Does PLD have its own SQL script it uses b/c its not showing data from the query.

explain the exact problem..? as you mentioned you want to create query to show values for current month and last 12 months.. so I think you want to show values for 12 months from current data.. you can achive this by multiple way..
you can have selection screen and field with date .. and restrict based on system current date and 12 months before or you can handle this at your target.. .. I mean there are multiple ways to restrict data by date range..

We meet an error, The workbook report no authorization, but related query can show part data.
We have a workbook, it have 1 queries, and when we key in condition to run it, in one field we put on one more condition(Z3XXX = ' WZO' & ' WZA")(User didn't have authorization for this condition), and workbook report no authorization.
Then we checked authorization check log and it show "You do not have sufficient authorization on Z3XXX = ' WCO'.
But when we execute the related query with same condition. the query can open and show WZA's data.
I'd like to know the reason.

Planning query donu2019t show current data

Hello,
I have an input ready query over an aggregation level of a real time cube. Whenever the yellow request is closed and a new request is opened, the input ready query does not show the old data. And sometimes it shows incorrect data. We found that the issue is with the Cache.
In RSRT when opening the input ready query in debug mode with "Do not use cache setting", the query returns correct data. But the surprise thing is that, the input ready query has Cache setting as inactive (0) in RSRT. So we had to generate the Delta buffer query <infoprovider>/!!1<infoprovider> in RSRT where <infoprovider> is the name of the real time cube.
This solved our problem and the query brought in correct data. But again when I close the second request, the input ready query again shows me no data or shows me wrong data. So again we need to generate the delta buffer query in RSRT <infoprovider>/!!1<infoprovider>.
This is very annoying when considering the fact that you have to generate the delta buffer query every time the request is closed. This could be a overhead in maintenance and will not go well with people.
Does anybody have any solutions for solving this issue. Is there any setting by which we can turn off cache altogether or delete cache when a request is closed etc? or worst conditions how to automate the generation of delta buffer queries every time the request is closed?
Any help is really appreciated.

Hide the Description of KF, only show data

Hello all,
I have a scenario where in BEx Analyzer I see repeated description somewhat like this:
2005...no.Products
2006...no.Products
2007...no.Products
2008...no.Products
I have used 'query properties'-display-Hide repeated key figures (checked) but its not working for me.
Acutally I don't want to display description 'no. Products', only its data is important to show.
when I go into Properties of 'no.Products'-display- there I can use 'Hide' but then its does not show anything: not description 'no.Products' and also no data.
Also I tried to delete the description of this CKF and in that case the technical name of 'no. products' is shown in BEx Analyzer
is there any way where I show data but not the description

Well I have already tried this but this doesnot work for me. I have CKF 'no.Products' which is created at global level and using it in a query.
Selecting this KF-properties-General tab-description: 'no.Products' but when I delete this description and save the query then there is no effect in BEx Analyzer; still I can see 'no.Products'. I come back in Query designer and 'no.Products' Description is there (which I deleted myself).
I even created a new CKF 'no.Products' without any Description (where it show 'new calculated key figure') and used that in my query but in that case 'Technical name' of this CKF is shown in BEx Analyzer.

Do you want to combine data from multiple Excel Files in the same folder path into one table? If I understand correct, we can add a custom column to import the data.
After we getting a list of files with their path, the Query Editor window will activate to show you a table containing a record for each file in the chosen directory. These will provide our function with the needed FilePath and FileName parameters.
Function sample: File name([Folder path],[Field name]

Creating Query to show items from open sales orders with a/p invoice

Hi experts,
I am trying to create a query that will show what items/quantities are still in open sales orders that can now be filled by an incoming shipment of goods, processed through the a/p invoice.
This needs to be done using subqueries, which I have no experience with. I am trying to do this using the ORDR and RDR1 tables to show the open items from the sales orders and the OPOR and POR1 tables to show items just received in to inventory. I would like the query to show exactly the open item's, their quantities, the posting date from the sales order and the customer name that can now be filled from the new shipment through the a/p invoice.

Show data of last day of previous month against any day of current month

Hi,
I have fact table which contains data at date level (we have data for oct-2009 to april-2010). Our requirement is to show data of last day of previous month against any day of current month in obiee 11g. I am facing problem in Feb 2010 its picking data of 28-Jan-2010 instead of 31-jan-2010 and for April its picking data of 30-mar-2010 instead of 31-mar -2010.
Any suggestion ???

You're asking to filter your data set to only include rows between:
1) last day of the previous month
2) any day of the current month
This can be achieved with prompting in OBIEE Answers.
last day of previous month = TIMESTAMPADD( SQL_TSI_DAY , -(1), TIMESTAMPADD( SQL_TSI_DAY , DAYOFMONTH( CURRENT_DATE) * -(1) + 1, CURRENT_DATE)) . The problem is you need to make query work within Oracle's Answer syntax.
In the prompt, select the operator type for your date dimension as 'between' and default to 'SQL Results'.
For the 'last day of previous month' , use the query:
SELECT
case when 1=0 then Time."Fiscal Date" else TIMESTAMPADD( SQL_TSI_DAY , -(1), TIMESTAMPADD( SQL_TSI_DAY , DAYOFMONTH( CURRENT_DATE) * -(1) + 1, CURRENT_DATE))
end
FROM ENTER_YOUR_PRESENTATION_FACT_FOLDER_HERE
For the current date, use the query:
SELECT
case when 1=0 then Time."Fiscal Date" else CURRENT_DATE
end
FROM ENTER_YOUR_PRESENTATION_FACT_FOLDER_HERE
Another option is to create a last_date_pervious_month variable in the RPD and have that as the default value in your prompt.
