Most queries of this size are not working. When i downsize the pattern OR selected columns, then they are working. Please suggest me a solution.

Surprisingly, the very same query is working fine on the same model loaded in 10g database. So, is this a bug in 11g?

  • 451 4.4.0 DNS query failed. The error was: SMTPSEND.DNS.NonExistentDomain

    Hi,
I have two Exchange 2010 servers running on Windows 2008 Ent R2.
These mail servers have been running fine for a few years.
    Today I noticed two things.
    1. users were telling me they were having delays receiving emails from outside of our own domain. The mail gets sent out, but it takes about 15-30 mins for users outside our our domain to get their mail. Mail sent from inside our domain gets delivered right
    away.
    2. An error message that I see when I go to Tools->Queue Viewer in EMC. The error is: 451 4.4.0 DNS query failed. The error was: SMTPSEND.DNS.NonExistentDomain. This error  shows up when you click on the "Queues" tab and then look at the
"hub version 14" under "next hop domain" column.
I'm assuming these two things are related. I don't understand why the problem is just showing up now. As I said, mail delivery has been fine for a while and I haven't done any major updates to the server in a few months.
Thanks for any ideas and suggestions as to what might be causing it and where I can look.
    Mike

    Hi,
    1. I replaced my Cert with the same exact cert from GoDaddy, just an updated expire date.
    2. We have two exchange servers.
    3. The message I am seeing now, is under "Last Error" for every queue (not individual messages).
That error message is:  451 4.4.0 Primary Target IP address responded with 421 4.2.1 Unable to connect. Attempted failover to alternate host but that did not succeed.
    OR
451 4.4.0 DNS query failed. The error was: SMTPSEND.DNS.NonExistentDomain. (This is the same error I mentioned earlier.
I ran some tests on mxmailbox.com for my domain name.I got the following alerts back when running a DNS check.
SOA Serial Number format is invalid. ns.rackspace.com Serial XXXXXXXX : Suggested serial format year was 1402 which is before 1970
    AND
SOA Expire value out of recommended range.  ns.rackspace reported Expire 604800. Expire is recommeded to be between 1209600 and 2419200
I use Rackspace DNS servers for External lookups.
Does this point my mail delay problem to Rackspace or something local on my own machine?
    Thanks!

  • Query to find the size of trigger?

query to find the size of trigger?

Can you define what the size of a trigger would be?
I suppose one measure might be to get the DDL for the trigger (DBMS_METADATA.GET_DDL) and do a DBMS_LOB.GetLength on the CLOB that is returned. I'm hard-pressed to find that a meaningful number, but it is a measure of "size".

  • Why the size increase?

My first time using iMovie. I saved a movie (mpeg2) in Quicktime, saved it and it had a file size of 22.2MP after saving. I then imported it into iMovie. After cutting a considerable amount of frames, adding a title page and title on one clip, when finished, the file size is 89.9MP. What am I doing wrong, or is this to be expected?
    Using iMovie3 and Quicktime Pro.
    Thanks!

This is terribly complicated. The movie was first made on a digital camcorder, downloaded to a PC as analog, then coverted to digital. I transfered the file from the PC to my Mac using a USB connection to the external drive of the PC where the file was stored.
I was told this was an mpeg2 file. It would not open in iMovie, so I opened it in Quicktime (Quictme Pro 7.0.4). I then saved it and imported that file into iMovie.
I am not familiar with the term "codec" so I don't know how to respond to it's use.
Your comment on "revert clips" is confusing in that you say "removing titles, transition, etc" and the go on to say "underlying footage is preserved as you add titles etc".
Where can I go to get a better understanding of what I am trying to learn?

  • Savew3d function increases the size of the file??!!

I am working with savew3d function, but a problem comes.
    I have a w3d file of 100 Kb and a 2 jpgs of 20 Kb and 50 Kb
    respectively.
I create a new w3d file using those 3 files and the result
is: a 410 Kb size file!!!
    Using 170 Kb I get a 410 Kb!!!!
The size increases very much, so the solution of using
savew3d is worse than loading the original 3 files.
It seems that the jpg files are decompressed!!!
Is there way to create w3d of low size??

Yes, the jpeg files are decompressed. This is not a w3d thing
    as much
as a Director thing. Director's internal #bitmap format is,
    well, a
bitmap. Analogous to the .bmp files we all know and love, but
    with an
alpha channel. If you bring in a jpg into Director, then save
    the
Director file, it will increase by the size of the bitmap...
    not the
size of the jpg. It has always been that way.
You can shrink the size of the image that Director stores by
    lowering
the bit depth (Modify, Transform Bitmap). Set the bit depth
    as low as
yuo want... of course you will lose quality with lower bit
    depths... you
lose the alpha channel with anything less than 32 bit, but
    that is no
great loss if you don't have transparency. If you know your
    image has a
limited color palette, then lowering the bitdepth further can
    be helpful.
Bear in mind that changing the bit depth is not undo-able, so
    make sure
you save your file before experimenting...

  • How can I reduce the size of the MASTERS folder inside Photos?

I was trying to find out why my Photos app database is SO large.  I have 8 gig of jpg photos.
I chose to NOT copy them when I imported them into Photos.
Yet my Photos app database is 8g as well!  That's a lot of space to use when I didn't even copy the JPG into it.
So I went hunting to learn what was going on.
You can go to your Pictures Folder and find the Photos Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
    Here is what I found:
The "Masters" folder is very small.  300MB.
The "Previews" folder is a similar size.
    "Thumbnails" are under 1G.
It's the "Resources" folder that is many gigs in size.
Very interesting.  So in a sense, it could be even worse!
That is, apparently the setting prevented the "Masters" folder from getting 8 gig of photos copied into it.
But even so, "Resources" ended up with 6.5G in it -- even though no files were copied!
    Wild.
Other photo management apps (e.g., Lightroom) have sort of a 10% overhead, not a 90% overhead -- i.e., close to the same size as the actual photos themselves.
I should probably start a fresh question, now that you have solved half the mystery:  Yes, the actual photos were not imported into Masters, but Resources gets really big!
So here is my question:  What the heck is going on with RESOURCES?  How can I make that folder smaller?  I mean, at this point, if I were to choose to import all my photos, it looks like that would double the size of my Photos installation.  Of course, I'm not going to do that.  Because, already, I don't have enough space for everything on my hard drive.  And Photos, even when not importing, takes up a lot of space.
I need to get this folder under control.  How can I?

    Cool article, but not relevant.
I did not import from iPhoto nor Aperture.
I have my photos as JPEG files in a folder on my hard drive.
Photos, the app, did not make any duplicates. Rather, it made a giant Resources folder, almost as big as my folder of Image files.
FInder Info confirms the size increase and lost capacity on my hard drive.
But I appreciate the link.  That could certainly give someone the same impression.

  • 451 4.4.0 DNS query failed - NonExistentDomain

I am in the process of migrating from Exch 2007 to 2013 for a small company. It is a very simple setup of just a single domain which has
1 server, 1 organization and 1 database. Here is what I have done so far:
    1. Installed a physical server EX13 for Exchange 2013 with SP1. All updates have been applied.
    2. Added a new Receive Connector of EX13 in addition to existing EX07.
    3. Changed SMTP port forwarding on the firewall from EX07 to EX13.
    4. Migrated a few mailboxes to the EX13.
Accounts on both servers have no issues with exchanging email both ways on the Internet. However, when accounts on the old server email to
migrated users, the new server does not always receive the messages promptly. There is a delay as much as 30 minutes that happens sporadically.
I checked the message header on the delayed messages and found that they had been stuck in EX07 for a long time before forwarding to EX13.
From Ex07 queue viewer, I found the following error:
451 4.4.0 DNS query failed. The error was: SMTPSEND.DNS.NonExistentDomain; nonexistent domain
Net Hop Domain: hub version 15
Delivery type: SMTP Relay in Active Directory
    Message Source Name: FromLocal
Last Error: 451 4.4.0 DNS query failed. The error was: SMTPSEND.dns.NonExistentDomain;nonexistentdomain
The status showed "retry" and eventually the message would be delivered. Once it went through, I sent another one again from an EX07
account to EX13 account, the message was received instantly.
So far I have tried the following:
    1. Added a host entry to point EX13.my_external_domain.com to the internal address of EX13
    2. Added an 'A' record on the internal DNS server with the same entry.
    3. Verified that EX13.my_external_domain.com was accessible from EX07 using this FQDN.
    4. Removed EX07 and leaving only EX13 on the Receive Connector list
    5. Removed EX13 and leaving only EX07 on the Receive Connector list
    6. Put both connectors back
There is no change of status. Every morning our users are saying that they could not email users on the new server. Then after 30 minutes,
the problem disappeared but it will come back later in the day. On the other hand, users on the new server do not notice any delay when sending messages to the those on the new box. At this point, I don't feel comfortable migrating more users. Can someone
    please shed some lights?

As suggested by Cara, I queried the message logs of both servers to track the delayed message.  This time, it took an hour for a message to be delivered.

  • Mailbox sizes increase dramatically after migration to exchange 2013

After I migrate mailboxes from exchange 2010 mailbox to 2013, the size increases.
    For example -
    On exchange 2010 I run get-mailboxstatistics: TotalItemSize : 6.706 GB
    On exchange 2013: TotalItemSize : 9.374 GB
    Anand_N

    Hi Anand,
Please note that the actual space used by the mailbox database will not increase. This only refers to the attribution of space used by each individual mailbox. Actually, this happens due to the inclusion of all item properties into quota calculations, providing
a more accurate computation of space consumed by items within their mailbox. However, you can adjust mailbox size and increase mailbox quota by 40% before moving.
You can follow below cmdlet in order to increase "ProhibitSendQuota" value for all users that are not using the database quota defaults:
    Get-Mailbox -ResultSize Unlimited -Filter {UseDatabaseQuotaDefaults -eq $False} |
    Where {$_.ProhibitSendQuota -ne "unlimited"} | ForEach {Set-Mailbox $_ -ProhibitSendQuota "$($($_.ProhibitSendQuota).Value.ToMB() * 1.4)MB" -WhatIf}
You can have a look on this link to prevent the cause :
Mailbox migration from 2010 to 2013
Hope, this will be helpful for you.

  • Process Size Increase

    Hi,
While stress testing our application we found increase in the process size. When we run our application for 5 hrs+ the size increases by 1MB+. We used the pmap -x , and it shows the increase in the heap.
We used purify and sun workshop for finding the memory leak . Both of them show no memory leak. They do show increase in the MIU/Live memory. The way we do our test is in continous cycles. We do same set of operations in every cycle. When we started the application it was 30MB and when we did first cycle it increased to 68 MB. The heap increases by 1MB every 5hrs. After 250 cycles it has increased 10MB.
Any idea why the heap keep on increasing? Is there any way to reclaim the memory?
    Thanks,
    Meena

    Hello,
It seems that your program has some "memory overuse" problems.
Memory overuse occurs when the program always allocates some new memory blocks on the heap (new, malloc) but never deletes them. Most of the time, these blocks are not "memory leaks" because the pointers on these blocks still exist, so that a garbage collector does not solve the issue.
The classical example is a linked list that always grows...
The only way to solve this, IMHO, is to track the memory in-use before and after processing.
Using Rational purify, you can call purify_all_inuse() to see all blocks inuse or purify_new_inuse() to see the new allocated blocks. Do this before and after processing, then check what is different.
Then you will have to understand why these blocks have been allocated, and then correct the problem.
    Good luck,

  • Increase the size of the Query

    Hi Experts,
i need to increase the size of the query in web aswell as Excel.
Please tell me how to do that.
    thanks in advance
    Thanks
    Amith

    Hi Amit,
Your query will bring you all the eligible records from the underlying data target and you cannot increase this number of recirds retreived by the query.
If you are not getting the required number of records, try to review the definition of your query and avoid using any static filters in ur query definition. Dont restrict any of your characterstics.
This is my opinion for ur query according to my understanding of ur doubt, if i am worn correct me by clearly defining your problem
    Regrads,
