Query -Formatted Search to retrieve a certain GL acct code

When in an Invoice-Service Type- and the input for describtion is Returnedck (lowercase or uppercase)
I want a certain GL acct to automatically populate (FormaCode = '10000-000'). I am pretty new to this.

    I am having some problems with a very simple query but it doesn't seem to work. I insert this formatted search in to my UDF I made called Cost. The query I am using is:
    SELECT  $[$34.0.0] - (I had to use variable number because this Unit Price field in the Item master data does not have a field name associated)
    It is supposed to grab the unit price from the screen, however it is always displaying zero when I query it, and when I put it in the UDF as a formatted search, it give me the internal error.

    Question 1: Where is this Cost UDF defined.  Is it at the Marketing document Header or row level?
    NOTE:
    The field reference for the Unit Price column is incorrect.  When you mouse over the Unit Price column you should see the values for Item=xx  Colunm=xx
    The syntax is $\[$Item.Column.Type].  Therefore for your case it should be $\[$38.14.Number]
    The type prefix can be 0 if you are accessing a Alphanumeric column.
    If you user field is at the Header level the Formatted Search Query might not work unless you highlight that whole row and then click on the header level UDF and press Shift+F2
    How have you set the refresh options?

    Hi all, this is my problem:
    I have a one formatted search in one column and i want run it in lost focus of other column. In the forun appear this code to do but something wrong occurs in my case. The formatted search seems run and in one moment the resul value appear in the matrix but in the moment dissapear and the old value remains. Why the formatted search result dissapear?

  • Formatted search query with variable

    I am trying to create a formatted search on a purchase order document.The scenario is as follows:
    The issue is that the client will on certain stock records incur a tooling cost when raising a PO. This is a once off cost when they order a particular item. For example the tooling cost on a stock item is u20AC5.50. The cost price on the item is u20AC100. If they order for example 5 of these the total cost is u20AC505.50 i.e. u20AC100*5+tooling cost of u20AC5.50.
    What we are attempting to do is pull through the tooling cost and add this on to the line total using a formatted search.
    -UDF created on item record table. This is set type 'Unit and totals' and structure is 'Price'. This is called ToolingCost
    -UDF created on marketing doc rows for ToolingCost. Again this is set to the same type and structure as the UDF on the item record.
    -We have created a UDF on marketing row for total cost and set a formatted search against this with query attached that is attempting to calculate the total cost. We cannot get this to work and the problem would appear to be that the price field is a variable and this is causing an issue on the query. Can we include a variable field in our query and if so what should the syntax be?
    Our query at the moment is 'SELECT 100*($[POR1.QTY.NUMBER])+($[POR1.U_TOOLINGCOSTS.NUMBER])
    Note 100 in query syntax above to be replaced by price on POR1 table.
    Can anyone provide assistence please.

    I have inserted a formatted search in the stock transfer for chnaging the 'From warehouse' based on series.
    I have written following query for same,
    SELECT $[$18.1.0]='08' WHERE $[OWTR.series] ='46'
    It is working Fine
    I want ot use same concept for selecting other based on other warehouse
    e.g
    SELECT $[$23.5.1]='02' WHERE $[OWTR.series] ='45'
    But I am not able to club these queries on one formatted search query can anybody help to group it in one formatted search query....

  • How do i deduct dates using formatted search with a query

    Hi Experts,
    I would like to know how to get the date difference using query and formatted search. Below are the details:
    1. I have created 3 Header UDF's composed of 2  Date type fields and 1 Quantity field.
    2. The first one is for the Original Date, the next one is for the Payment Date and the Last one is for the No. of Days Lapsed.
    What I would like to do is automatically compute for the number of days from the original date to the payment date. What query syntax should i use to achieve this?

    Hi Yvette,
    It should be something like;
    DATEDIFF (day, T0.[createDate], T0.[closeDate] ) as 'Aging'  This is just an example. You may add your udf's instead of dates.

  • SQL Query -How2bring multiple results into one field using Formatted Search

    Hi Everyone
    i am trying to bring in the results of the field dbo.Lot_ITEM.LOT using a formatted search into a row level using the following query:
    SELECT     dbo.LOT_ITEM.LOT
    FROM       dbo.DLN1 INNER JOIN dbo.LOT_ITEM ON dbo.DLN1.ItemCode = dbo.LOT_ITEM.ITEM
    WHERE     dbo.LOT_ITEM.ITEM=$[DLN1.ItemCode]
    however the result of the dbo.Lot_ITEM.LOT field could be more then one value depending on how many lots are assigned for that item
    (for example this query would be similar to assigning batch/serial numbers to an item being despatched - as you can choose multiple batches/serials depending on the quantities available and required and then move from the left to the right side of the selection window) if that makes sense!
    is it possible to bring in the multiple results into one field? and how can i amend the above query to include this?

    just to simplify it (as the query im working with is to do with 3rd party addons) i have used the serial/batchs field instead and used standard demo database fields from SBO 2005 sp01:

                    dbo.ixvSerialNoFact ON dbo.DLN1.DocEntry = dbo.ixvSerialNoFact.SRI1_BaseEntry

    The above brings me the relevant results but when i change it to be used in a formatted search:

                    dbo.ixvSerialNoFact ON dbo.DLN1.DocEntry = dbo.ixvSerialNoFact.SRI1_BaseEntry

    i cant seem to get it to work - now this may be because the serial number is not allocated until teh record is added to the system, however when this happens i am unable to go back in and manually trigger the query as the delivery note rows cannot be selected!
    i  think as what im originally wanting an answer for is same as this example, im wanting to know if this is even possible?

    I am using the following query as formated search for Identifying the batches availble during the creation of  Delivary document
    in a user defined column at row level. When i click on this field it's showing the Batches for the Item with Zero Qty also.
    I need to display only the batches where the QTY >0. This query displaying even the Zero Qty Batches also. Please help me to modify the below query for getting the above. Below is the  query .

    i removed that T5, But It's  showing the  Batches where the qty in the main warehouse for that batch is Zero.That batch was actually present in another warehouse. And also when i am working on other warehouses it's showing the batches in the main warehouse where the qty is present.

  • Formatted Search query for Vacation Accrued

    Hi Experts,
    I have a Client who needs to keep tract on the Vacation Accrued on the Employee Master Data. I have created this UDF on the Master Data, but I could not get the query for the Formatted Search right.
    This Formatted search on the UDF ( must look at the OHEM.startDate field and populate the following:
    If it is a still within year of the system date, it must populate 0,
    If it is > 1 year and < 3 years, it must populate 5,
    etc.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    The issue is that if I link this query to the UDF on the EMD, I get a list of 0 and 5 to choose from. I need to populate automatically.

    I have a formatted search that is the following to select line of marketing documents example
    select [$23.5.NUMBER]
    when the general setting display decimal separator as "," I have no problem but when decimal separator changes to "." then the formatted search is giving me error because result is [number.000000] too many zeros when it is without zeros with decimal separator set to ","
    How can I have the query run without zeros at the end when decimal is set to ","

    I've created a UDF for 'activities' called U_BP_Link - it has a formatted search query which simply displays all data in the OCRD business partner database.  I wanted to also fill in a UDF which would display the 'description' of the BP that was selected in the U_BP_Link field.  I'm having trouble coming up with the correct syntax for the query associated with the UDF name field.  This is giving me a syntax error near $[$U_BP_Link]................
    SELECT T0.CardName FROM OCRD T0 INNER JOIN OCLG T1 ON T0.CardCode = T1.U_BP_Link Where T0.CardCode = $[$U_BP_LINK.1.0]

    I don't fully understand your situation.
    I'm thinking you have 2 UDFs. One is OCLG.U_BP_Link and the second is the 'also fill in a UDF' and that is to be populated with OCRD.CardName based on data entry in OCLG.U_BP_Link
    That being the case, I would create a FMS on OCLG.U_BP_Name field to:
    1) Search in Saved Query - create query similiar to SELECT OCRD.CardName FROM OCRD, OCLG Where OCRD.CardCode = $[OCLG.U_BP_LINK] FOR BROWSE
    Create and test the query and after results are generated as expected, substitue the $[OCLG.U_BP_LINK]. The query will error in SAP but is OK for use in FMS.
    2) Auto refresh when Field Changes
    3) Based on field OCLG.U_BP_Link - actually the description for this field.
    4) Display saved values
    It could work.

    I have created formatted search query. Which has only one field "Serial Number"?  I have to ensure that, the user has to enter the value in that field.  How to do that?
    I was thinking on implement in stored procedure SBO_TransactionNotification with Object_Type = "219". But I am not sure, how to enforce the validation only for this search query.  Because there are 50+ formatted search queries are available in the system.
