Query in extraction using RSCRM_BAPI

Hi ,
We have a RSCRM_BAPI query created on a multiprovider. The infoproviders have amount Key figures in it. So 0currency is associated along with the key figures.
0plant Fis period Key figure1 key figure 2 key figure 3
While we try to generate a CSV file using RSCRM_BAPI, the file generated has a blank column next to every key figure.
we are expecting the output file to be of the same format as specified above.
we need to load this file into another flow.
What we could fgure out was that every Key figure has a blank clumn for currency, which we dun want to provide.
Please provide me a solution to generate the file exactly as the sam format.

Problem while extracting using RSCRM_BAPI in user defined job

Hi all,
Of late I have trying to executing Bex query extract thru RSCRM_BAPI and needed a way to be able to schedule an user defined job so for that so that I have control in terms of when I execute the job.
I went thru SDN and found this Function module RSCRMBW_REPORT which is supposed to do the part however I am getting a error since my BEx query has a variable screen and I dont know how I can take care of that. I am currently getting the error from the function module:
"The entry type of variable ZPM_MEDT requires you to enter values"
Where ZPM_MEDT is a date variable on my Bex report.
So the question is how do I get my variables to my Bex report while using Fn module RSCRMBW_REPORT. I tried Bex personalization it didnt work.

Sorry for the delay in reponse. I have changed the all variables either to populater by user exit or hard code it to a filter (constant). But I am having problem executing the function RSCRMBW_REPORT
I am using the following parameters and getting the subsequent error message.

Now I am getting short dump in the GET_CUBETYPE() method in the CL_RSCRMBW_BAPI class. For some reason the cube name is not being parsed from the report ID name "YC_OO/ZYM_OO_Q0002_2". Am I missing something?
Also is there any other way SAP provides to schedule RSCRM_BAPI queries to a table externally without using standard job scheduliing from within the RSCRM_BAPI transaction.

I have already tried with APD, but no luck.....
following error occurs

The technical field name KYF_0001 for field D56LC57R0X09TDN1TCY56IDF4 may only appear once per input or output structure....
and then no execution is possible and that particular field has been mapped between source and target.
also have query with char structure
so then started with RSCRM_BAPI........in here i have structure in cloumns with new selection and new formula..........and now i get this messg

Using rscrm_bapi

Hi Everyone,
Its like i am working on a unique requirement as followed.
For certain reasons, i have to make the BW reports available elsewhere (i.e other DW which is a client specific one). For this purpose we use XI to integrate.
As i have some restrictions,selections and also some new key figures to be made availabe, after all the developments at query designer, using tcode:rscrm_bapi i can give a table name and extract the query output and made available on the table.
XI would take when a datasource available in a table. But when i extract to the table it will accept only when characteristics upto 16.
In my case i have 36 characteristics.For this particular i have gone for File CSV while extracting using rscrm_bapi. But here the problems are
1.Field descriptions are not available on the file, so with out them there is no relevance
2.When i notice the sequence in the query definition (i.e when we select the query in rscrm_bapi) and query definition are different.
So in the above scenario, would any one suggest any other option for me else using the same option how do i overcome the above mentioned issues?
I rule out the option of using Infospoke, because there lot of restrictions to be considered while the development of extract.
I welcome all your ideas and any suggestions and aslo assure you that reward the valuable answers.

1. As i am using the variables, i should see and give selection parameters.
its a gui which you have to develop, which will take parameters and trigger the XI process along with the values and in turn XI will trigger the process in BW to get the data and then pass it on to the other system.
2. For two fields i should also ensure the availability of text in the extract
while developing the query, you have to make sure to set key and text for the characteristics.
3.All the field descriptions to be made available.
in the FM i have mentioned these values are returned.

Using RSCRM_BAPI to convert data from Query and load into PSA to DSO

Hi Experts,
I have a complex query which is being executed in BeX.
I need to go in the reverse direction and extract the data from the Query and load into the PSA and then to a DSO.
I am using RSCRM_BAPI for this purpose and have got data into the extract table successfully.
But , my query has some variable screen wherein we need to give some inputs for selection.
I have create those Infoobjects and put them in the DSO.
How do I capture these inputs of the selection screen for storing in fields of my DSO as the Extract table does not store these inputs ???

write the whole insert query desired by you with the help of excel formulas.they are very easy or google 'how to use excel formulas".
then copy the fromula to whole set of data in excel fields.
run the insert query in excel as batch.

When to go for generic extraction using view and infoset query?

Can anyone clarify me when we should go for generic extraction using view and when we should go for generic extraction using infoset query....
Also what is the difference between view and infoset?
I tried but could not find out....

Hi Kalyani,
We normally go for View or infoset when the data to be fetched in BW is distributed in different tables in SAP R/3.
Had the data been available in one table we can easily build our datasource on that table but if there are more tables then its not possible to do it without Views or Infosets. You can use Function Modules to build your datasource in case it involves complex logic to figure out the data from various tables.
Depending upon the table relationships we create view and include various fields from these tables in that view. Same is with the Infosets, you can have more flexible options like Outer Join, left outer Join etc.

Generic Extraction using Infoset Query

Hi Experts,
I am trying to create on Infoset query on the R3 side for creating one generic Extractor Joining EKKO and EKPO table.
u2022I have created the User group in SQ03.
u2022I have created the Infoset in SQ02 and selected few 5/6 fields from each EKKO and EKPO tables into the Field Groups of the Infoset.
u2022I have generated the Infoset and assigned it to the user group created on SQ03
u2022I have created a query on SQ01 using this Infoset and deselected the u201Ctextu201D fields created by default and selected the Basic list. Done everything needs to be done in there.
Now when I am going to RSO2 and created the extractor using that Infoset, I am not seeing the Function groups that I have created in the Infoset in the Extract Structure, rather its pulling all the fields that is there in the Infoset joining both tables. It should show me those 5/6 fields that is there in the field group.
I just want to see only those 5/6 fields in the extract structure of the DS.
I am not sure what is missing.
Any documentation on the same or if anyone faced similar problem, please help.

You can create the infosets in r/3 using the t code Sq01,sq03 etc.
You can create a generic extractor in r/3 using the tcode rso2 and that you can specify the infoset name.

Problem using RSCRM_BAPI

Hi all:
I am trying to use t-code rscrm_bapi...
but its giving me error in technical name of the extract and path for .csv file, when i select the option "extract". I need query output in .csv file.
can someone send me the detailed steps for this ?
Also, Please add this questions in my original problem for using rscrm_bapi t-code.
it is giving me error for not having authorization to create extract !!
I already tried to refer few forums on this topic but not getting any solution for problem.
I will comeback and give the points for the answer.

Hi Keral -
You can give any name that makes sense to you (like the report number)for the technical name of the extract. As for the path, I usually have the file store on the application server by the giving the path (for example, /datastaging/BWP/in/BAPI_FOLDER). (From here if you need, you can save the file as an excel file onto your desktop). In short below are the steps,
1) Use the t-code RSCRM_BAPI, select the query you are interested in extractiing
2) Hit extract and it will ask you for a technical name which can be any meaningful name, choose FILE (CSV) option, give the file name (BAPI_EXTRACT) and give the path /datastaging/BWP/in/BAPI
3) Schedule this job and when finished, check in your application server using t-code AL11.
FYI, I was not successful in saving the file directly onto the workstation, so I endup saving it onto the application server and from there pull it onto my desktop.

Using RSCRM_BAPI with Huge Data Volume

Hi,
I am using RSCRM_BAPI to extract a query output into a database table. But, the query returns a large volume of data. I am not sure whether RSCRM_BAPI works fine when data volume is huge. Please suggest whether using this will be a good design or any other method is available to take care of such a scenario.

I have used RSCRM_BAPI when the records were exceeding 65000(limitations of excel) and it worked for me...
I think should work for you also....
But there are some limitations....
like u cannot see texts etc,,,,

I also tried to use this t-code. but this has lots of restrictions..and its not recommended to use this t-code for complex queries.There are OSS NOtes out there for restrictions for this t-code.
I got to know from other forums on SDN that there is other RSCRMBW_REPORT FM. which is better to use. but not able to use it... there is specific way for that FM. If you try that and if it works for you please let me also know.

Error while using RSCRM_BAPI with remote cubes

Hi,
We are getting short dump while trying to use RSCRM_BAPI with hierarchies i.e.display hierarchies to extract data to a flat file.
We do get a warning that display hierachies are not longer supported in 2004s with RSCRM_BAPI and have been going on and on with SAP development. They are saying we need to find alternatives.
I wanted to know if anybody has tried using display hierarchies with RSCRM_BAPI in 2004s if not then I would like to know what are my options in getting a flat hierarchy report on to a flat file?
I dont think infospoke supports flat hierarchy extracts as infoproviders dont store hierarchy information.

XML sql query not displayed using SQLPLUS

Have a registered schema and 1 xml document successfully inserted using Oracle 10.2.0.3.0
I then run the following query:
select extract(object_value,'/warehouse/warehousename')from xwarehouses;
Expecting 1 record to be returned in SQLPLUS but get the following result:
EXTRACT(OBJECT_VALUE,'/WAREHOUSE/WAREHOUSENAME')
1 row selected.
Can anyone shed any light?

Generic extraction using table

Hello friends,
We have three methods in Generic extraction, as we know.
1. Using view/Table
2. Using FM
3. Using Infoset Query
I know pretty well the extraction using View, but when do we use "Table"?
Is there a specific method to perform generic extraction using TABLE?

In case of a generic extraction with view, i've followed the below procedure.
1. RSO2.
2.create a generic datasource by giving a view name and selecting the fields for selection criteria, save and generate.
3. replicate data sources in BW.
4. create an infosource and assign the data source, mapping and create an infopackage to load data.
Now ,
1. how do we enable Delta for this method?
2. Is this possible at all? if yes, how?
3. How do we proceed after the replication of DataSources in BI? specifically, procedure in BI?
Pls clarify.
