  • Linking Freight charges/installation charges in the catalog item

    Hi CCM/MDM experts,
I have a requirement. Please look into it
In the catalog can we have installation costs/freight costs attached to an item?
When I select the item in the Shopping cart from catalog, it should bring cost of the item as well as additional cost under the pricing condition. The same thing should show up in PO.
The labor cost is expected to hit a different GL account.
Your help on this highly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Vemulap
In our system we list Delivery Charges as a separate Catalog item with a zero price for each vendor, (or a fixed price if one exists).
We allow our users to edit shopping cart items with a zero price but not those with a catalog price.  This is bespoke in our system using a BADI.
We then direct the Freight charges to the correct GL account by linking to a UNSPSC code for freight.
By this method users can enter the delivery charges themselves when creating the Cart. This leads to a separate line on the PO for Freight that must be confirmed.
We tried to use pricing conditions but it gets horribly complicated and later on leads to problems with invoice entry if you have an organization with a large AP section as we have.
    Hope this helps
    Allen B.

  • Freight Charges Break up in PLD

    Dear all,
Can any one help me in showing the freight charges break up in PLD. My client is putting Packing and Forwarding charges along with the freight charges in the freight
    for example,
    freight = 100
    P&F = 20
but in document it will display as freight = 120
how can i show this break up in PLD
    please help me experts..
    thanks and regards,
    Yeshwanth Prakash

    Dear Yeshwanth,
This could be possible via UDF and FMS. Please try the following:
    1. Create UDFs on Marketing Document header level - number of UDF
depending on the max number of Additional Expenses from the OEXD
    2. Use query like below for UDF1:
       SELECT T2.EXPNSNAME + ' ' + STR(T1.LINETOTAL) + ' ' +
              STR(T1.VATSUM) + ' ' + STR(T1.VATPRCNT)
              + ' ' + STR(T1.LINEVAT)
       FROM   OINV T0
         INNER JOIN INV3 T1
           ON T0.DOCENTRY = T1.DOCENTRY
         INNER JOIN OEXD T2
           ON T1.EXPNSCODE = T2.EXPNSCODE
       WHERE  T0.DOCNUM = $OINV.DocNum
         AND T1.LINENUM = 0
Use query like below for UDF2:
       SELECT T2.EXPNSNAME + ' ' + STR(T1.LINETOTAL) + ' ' +
              STR(T1.VATSUM) + ' ' + STR(T1.VATPRCNT)
              + ' ' + STR(T1.LINEVAT)
       FROM   OINV T0
         INNER JOIN INV3 T1
           ON T0.DOCENTRY = T1.DOCENTRY
         INNER JOIN OEXD T2
           ON T1.EXPNSCODE = T2.EXPNSCODE
       WHERE  T0.DOCNUM = $OINV.DocNum
         AND T1.LINENUM = 1
    and so on.
NOTE: The line number is important as there can be more than
    one additional expense for the same Document Number;
Note that the query draws the details of one single record per
from the Add Expenses Table. You can make the amendments in the
    query as required by either removing or adding more fields;
like increase space between the fields etc
    3. Add the UDF to the Layout.
    Hope this will help.

Make the Vendor Invoice  in referenece to your GR and then
Post the subsequent debit Entry through MIRO.
Pls Note: System will not allow you to post the Subsequent Debit entry without Prior Vendor Invoice .

  • Capture the Freight charges from incoming invoice

    Hi Guru,
The requirement is to capture the Freight charges from incoming invoice . Is it possible to capture that amount in INVOIC01 idoc.
The Analysis what I have done is INVOIC01 IDOC type is having only two segments (E1EDS01,E1EDP26)  with Amount field . Based on the qualifier the value is getting populated . My assumption is, if we find the right qualifier for freight this may get resolved .Please let me know if there is anyother way or rigt qualifier for capturing thefrieght charge
The FM to post is ZIDOC_INPUT_INVOIC_MRM.Pls find the attached screenshot too.

  • Calculate freight charges in quotation

    Hello,
has sb. an idea how to calculate (perhaps via simulating) the freight charges at the stadium of quotation?
A possible scenario has to be to calculate (simulate) the freight costs and then put it to the calculation scheme of the quotation.
    Thanks for your support.
    BR,
    Christian

By implementing Transportation you can perform this activity.
In sales order you can estimate the freight cost and put it automatically on it. On billing document redetermine by copy control the freigth costs and it will impact it on it.
You have to configure the following before:
Logistics Execution > Transportation > Shipment Costs > Define Profiles for Shipment Cost Information
You´ll need a variant or several, depending if you want to estimate cost or also compare the best option from differents vendors. You can create those differents variants (for each scenario) on VT04 transaction.
For configuration guide, please follow this link:

  • Invoice with only a Freight Charge

    Hello,
We have just identified a strange issue on the sales invoices which we have been creating using the document generation wizard.
Certain invoices are appearing with only the freight charge on the invoice. The lines from the originating delivery appear on another invoice. There is also no base doc link between the invoice which just has freight and the delivery. Basically we end up with 2 invoices for 1 delivery, one of which has no lines and only the freight charge.
    I would appreciate any help.
    Many Thanks

    Dear Gary,
This might be a database corruption and that this invoice was create with no row, only header. Therefore I would advise you to log a message on the service market place to ask support to check the datebase.

  • How to post Freight Charge in INbound INVOIC Idoc? (MM Invoice Verif)

    Hi Folks,
Would like to post an inbound invoice(810) IDoc  that has multiple line items that may or may not have variances(quantity, price, etc.). MM Logistics Invoice verification is the process used for posting our invoices for raw materials. We would like for the line item variances to continue to post to the PPV account. Our problem is freight. Freight in this instance is in the header of the IDOC(segment E1EDK05). For example, we create a purchase order with 3 line items for $100.00 each totaling $300.00 for the purchase order. We receive an EDI Invoice for $345.00 which contains a $45.00 charge in the header for freight. We would like for the freight to be posted to the appropriate account. Currently the $45.00 difference in P/O total and Invoice total is being posted to the PPV account. Your helpis appreciated!
What if Freight charge is populated as Line item in the inbound invoic idoc. Will the inbound program allow this kind of posting??
    Throw some light experts.
    Thanks,
    Matt

Yes, you can include the freight cost in line item as well but that would not be advisable. Why don't you include Fright Cost in your pricing procedure ??? Do check the following link

  • Fixed freight charge

    Hi all,
Some times my delivery qty may be more than the sales order qty due to tolerance and may be multiple deliveries for single sales order.
I want to give fixed freight charge in sales order, so that the total freight charge for all the invoices should be equal to sales order freight charge.
    Thanks & Regards
    Ratna

    Hi krishna,
Both the links are of same issue, but don't have conclusion.
    Hi lakshmipathi,
Fixed calculation type is not working in my scenario.
Let me put my scenario with an example:
I have SO with 10 qty and freight charge as 1000
I did multiple del's and invoices.
Total invoice's qty is 11 and now the total freight charge is becoming 1100, on the basis of 100 per 1 qty.
But I need the total freight charge should be equal to 1000, irrespective of the qty delivered.
Please provide your inputs on the same.
    Thanks

  • Calculating Service Tax on Freight Charge

    Dear All,
My client procures a material on which it pays freight charges to freight vendor .And service tax is calculated on freight only .Immediate payment is done to the freight vendor .And service tax is paid on freight .
What I have achieved until now is I am able to get condition type for freight and I am able to assign vendor number is that condition type detail .
But how I will calculate service tax on freight . In my view service tax should be fetched from tax procedure . In tax procedure service tax is calculating the value from gross price BASB .
And BASB is fetched through routine 362 .
Please anybody let me know how I will overcome the situation .
    Regards
    Abhijit Das

    Hi
Go to transaction code FTXP and select the country for which you need to create a tax code.  This country is automatically linked to the Tax Procedure which has been set up in the menu path [IMG - Financial accounting - Financial accounting global settings - tax on sales/purchases - basic settings - Assign country to calculation procedure.
Enter in the field tax code. This must be a 2-digit alphanumeric code like S1
Tax percentage can be maintained in two ways & that depends upon the Tax procedure that has been followed i.e. if tax procedure is formula based then percentage can be maintained in FTXP only, where as if the procedure is condition based then percentage has to be maintained under the identified condition type.
Once done GL accounts has to be assigned under OB40 for automatic posting of tax amounts.
Its better if you can get it configured by FI consultant

  • Tax posting for freight charges (Tax on Freight)

    Hi All,
I am posting freight charges in A/R Invoice. The freight charges are levied to service tax ( Serv Tax 125, Cess 1% and H edu cess 2%). Now the problem is when I am attaching the tax code to the frieght amout and adding the invoice then the tax amount is being posted to the Rounding expense A/c defined in the Gl Accnt Determination, general Tab. This is being posted as a seperate line item along with the rounding amount in the Journal.
I have defined seperate gl accounts for the tax postings in the tax code definition but these accounts are not being effected.
Desirable and expected is that the freight charges should fall in the freight expense a/c(which is being done), the tax amount should effect the tax gl accounts as defined in tax codes.
how come the tax amount is being posted in the rounding expense?
Please suggest how to correct this.
    Raj.
Edited by: debraj bhattacharyya on Dec 9, 2008 10:55 AM

    Hi,
While preparing the A/R Invoice and entering the Freight Amount you will select relevant Tax code. In that tax code you should link the GL account in which the tax amount to be stored.
From AR Invoice, you will click the link button near freight. Now new window opens for freight charges. You will enter the frieght amount and link the appropriate tax code in the "Tax Code" field. If you click the Link arrow neat Tax Code it takes you to the Tax Codes - Setup window. In this window you can view the settings you have done for the Tax code. In this windoe you have fields A/R Tax Account and A/P Tax Account.
Please check whether you have linked the Correct Account code in A/R Tax Account field.

  • Populating Freight Charges on Sales Order

Does anybody know how I can populate freight charges using the UI-API on a sales order? The UI requires the user to click on a link button to pop up another screen. Does anybody have any best practices or advice on how to do this. I know how to do add freight charges with the DI-API, but I need to have it working on the opened (non-saved) sales order, so I mist use the UI-API. Thanks in advance.
    Carlos

I manage to do something about this but is a very ugly code.  You littely have to intercept some event and do a .click() method on the freight link arrow, freeze the form and internally populate the matrix on the freight and then unfreeze the form and do a .click() on the update/ok button on the freight form.
Is very ugly and tricky but it manage to do what the customer wants.
I also saw that if you have freight on a parent document (like sales order) and you do a copy to (like to A/R Invoice) if you have freight amount it will duplicate on the document, one with the original value and a second one with value of zero (0).
