Query of material PRT

HI experts
could you let me know if I use material PRT in pm order,
will the material PRT  be consumed during work order execution?
and how do I monitor the material prt status in inventory?
and how to show the process of issue material prt to work order?
for example, I have 100 material prt in inventory,
if I send 10 material PRT to a work order,
will the inventory report show 90 left in then inventory?
thanks!

another question: when configure the PRT control key in IMG,
the explaniation of this step is that:
Define PRT Control Keys
The PRT control key determines whether PRTs that are allocated to a task list or an order are included in the following business functions:
scheduling
costing
printing production order printing
completion confirmation
Actions
Define the PRT control keys that are used in your company.
Above mentioned that PRT can be confirmed in completion confirmation
but in IW41 confirm work order, I didn't find anything related to PRT.

  • Select query in materialized view with two dblinks

    Hi All,
    We have oracle 10g On windows.
    We are trying to create materialized view. Scenario is we have base table on other database and we are creating mview on different database.
    Basa database have two schema's and i am selecting records from that two schema's using two private db links.
    But when i am tryin gto create mview its not getting created. After 15 hrs. its still showing creation command and not finished.
    Query is :-
    Is it good practice to have two db links in select query of materialized view.

    If the former, you ideally want the local Oracle db to send the join to the remote database, and for the remote database to drive the join between those 2 tables. There is a hint (<i>driving_site</i>) that can be used - or the join query can be defined on the remote database as a view, and the local materialised view can then use that remote view.
    If you have 2 different db links and joining across these - usually a bad idea to perform distributed database joins. There are lots of limitations as to how the tables can be joined. Worse case, full table scans of both remote tables, pulling all the rows from the 2 remote database tables to the local database, and joining these on the local database.
    I have seen some severe performance issues in the past as a result of distributed joins. I'll rather use 2 materialised views for pulling both distributed tables's data locally, and then do the join on local data (using indexes, partition pruning, etc)Hi Billy,
    My scenario is i have two database database A and database B. Database A is having two schema's SCOTT AND HR. SCOTT schema have select privileges on HR schema.
    DB LINK is between Database B to Database A. name is db.link.B.A.oracle.com.
    What if i priovide while creating materialized view, the schema name before the table name in database B for this particuler table so it will pick up the table from that schema using same DB LINK(db.link.B.A.oracle.com.) that i am using to fetch records from SCOTT schema.
    Above schnario is like two base schema's and one db link using two schema.

  • Query on Materialized view and materialized view log

    I am creating a materialized view something like this.but getting following error:
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-12032: cannot use rowid column from materialized view log on "SCOTT"."EMP"
    SQL> create snapshot log on scott.emp;
    Materialized view log created.
    SQL> create materialized view scott_emp refresh fast on demand as select deptno,sum(sal) sum_sal from scott.emp group by deptno;
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-12032: cannot use rowid column from materialized view log on "SCOTT"."EMP"
    Note when i have my query in materialized view as "select * from emp;" in place of
    "select deptno,sum(sal) sum_sal from scott.emp group by deptno;" This code works fine.
    How do i have a materialized with with a group by clause.
    Thanks in Advance

    Got the answer myself.
    I wasnt adding all the required columns.
    CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW LOG ON scott.emp
    WITH SEQUENCE, ROWID (<all the required columns>)
    INCLUDING NEW VALUES;
    Anyways,

  • SAP query for Material pricing group changes in material.

    Dear all,
    I'm trying to generate a query for Material Pricing group changes in material. For that I've to retrieve data from follwing three tables MVKE, CDHDR & CDPOS.
    Firstly while generating infoset -
    I tried it by joining tables MVKE & CDHDR, but system is not allowing it, also table CDPOS can't bejoined.
    Then I tried by reading dirctly from table MVKE and then adding additional fields in it. query created using this infoset is giving the output, however it's giving only 1 entry per material entered in input.
    for multiple entries in output for MPG changes in same material I tried creating addtional structure for table CDHDR & CDPOS but again I'm getting only 1 entry per material.
    please suggest how I can get MPG changes done in specified time period for a material.
    Thanks.

    Hi
    Check the report RSSCD100 and run it for object MAT_FULL for table MVKE. Use this report as a template for your own development.
    I hope this helps you
    Regards
    Eduardo
    PD: sorry, the table is DMVKE

  • Material PRT Availability

    Hello All,
    Below is the requirement
    1) Plan tools and machinery against individual activities
    2) Report date wise machinery  and tools requirement at different project sites
    3) Report Daily availability (in number) of machinery and tools at the project sites.
    We do not have PM module and hence no equipment masters. The alternate approach we are looking at is to use material PRTs. Material PRTs by definition should allow me to maintain the stock and prompt availability check. The system however doesn't check availability of material PRTs across networks (projects). This is a major pit fall as I have no visibility of the same machinery lying at different sites.
    With PRTs I can plan PRT requirement for different activities. How can I indicate that my need for a machinery/ tool for an activity is over (even though my activity may not have finished) and the same could be used for some other activity? Can this be reflected by any means in the "Where Used List" Report? I have nothing in activity confirmation to indicate that I can release my machinery/ tool.
    Besides, in the where used list, there is no quantity information. This again is another drawback as I don't know how many machinery/ tool of the same type has currently been deployed on a project site.
    Have I understood the PRT functionality incorrectly or am I expecting something more out of the desired functionality. Will appreciate any kind of work around or solution on the same.
    Thanks,
    Nithin.

    HI
    As per my knowledge Its not possible to check the quantity of PRT at the time of Production order....You will have to seperately check the same.
    Regards,
    Anand.

  • Material PRT or Material Tools to use? or...?

    Hi Gurus,
    Need your advice.
    User have many PRTs (1 assembly may use 1000 type of PRTs).
    Purchase lead time about 6 weeks.
    User requirement are:
    1. They need to know whether they have the required PRT or not; is the quantity sufficient or not.
    2. They need to know when to buy these PRTs, and how much to buy (optimum quantity, don't want to over purchase, based on the production volume)
    3. They don't want to consume / GI the material during backflush
    4. They don't want it to be costed to the production order or anywhere (once the PRT can't be use, then it'll be scrapped).
    Is there a way to accomodate these requirements?
    Should I use material PRT, or material Tools? Or, is there any other option?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    You can use the FM BAPI_OBJCL_GETDETAIL...
    Check this thread.

  • Confirmation for Material PRT

    Hello All,
    How do I confirm the dates and quantity of material PRT I used for a network activity? I have confirmed the activity to which a material PRT was assigned. The actual dates are not getting copied to PRT nor do I have a possibility to edit the quantity or actual dates of PRT usage during activity confirmation. Pls Advise!
    Thanks,
    Nithin.

    Hello Gokul,
    Am afraid I couldn't find anything in  SAP help regarding actual quantity or confirmation of PRTs. The documentation that is available talks about creation, assignment, deletion, availability check etc. It doesn't explain how to enter actual quantities.
    Question was specific!
    How to enter actual usage quantity of a material PRT during an activity confirmation? Pls help!
    Thanks,
    Nithin.

  • MAterial PRT Assigned to Production order

    Dear Team,
    I have assigned Material PRT to production order now i want to assign counter to that material for maintenance purpose, means after certain operations mainenance people should replace that material.
    How can i assign measure counter & maintenace plan to that material PRT?

    Dear Nilesh,
                     Material PRT is always is used in Quantities in Production.
                     If u want a counter for PRT then 1) Create PRT as Equipment.
                     2) Create Counter for PRT.
                     3) Create Intitial Measurement Document for Counter.
                     4) Assign Counter in PRT tab of Equipment Master Data.
                     5) Assign Equipment PRT in Production Routing of that Material.

  • How the material PRT issue/receipt to the production order can be handled?

    Hi PP Gurus,
            For one of our clients, the handling of PRT is to be controlled with the issue/receipt for the production order.
    1. What is the procedure for issue/receipt of PRT material in the SAP?
    2. What is the procedure to block the PRT for the creation/release of production order when it was already assigned to the other production order during the same time?
    3. The PRT is to be available automatically once the assigned production order operation is confiremd.How it can be handled in the SAP?
    Appreciate your early response.
    Thanks,
    Reddy.

    Hi Ramanujam,
            Thanks for your response.
         1. The dies can be used for the production of Pressing, Casting and Forging etc. These dies will be managed in the stores. The stores representatives will issue the die to the shop floor for an operation of a production order.They will return back the die once the production is completed at that operation using the die. How to map this process in the SAP.
            Typically, these dies can be treated as PRT materials in the SAP system.
         2. OPJK configuration is not sufficient. The same PRT will be assigned to the many production orders during the same time.The system won't block with only this setting. There are some other steps involved to complete the process.
                     I would like to know the complete procedure with all the steps to block the PRT once it was assigned to the production order operation. The same PRT is to be available for other production orders automatically once the operation is confirmed after production.

  • Help needed in query for Materialized View

    Hi,
    I want to create a materialized view which has some precalcultaed values.
    I have four dimension tables out of which one is a Time Dimension table with levels as Year->Quarter->Month.
    The precalculations are the moving averages and cummulative values of Sales Amt on the dimension values over a period of 4 Months.
    The dimension tables are Clients, Products, Channel, Time.
    Fact Table is Sales_Fact which will have the sales amount for different members of the dimension.
    Since my fact table is very huge, i want to create a materialized view where i could store the required calculated measures, here Moving Average of Sales Amt for each Client, Product, Channel dimensions over a period of 4 Months.
    Can anybody help with writing the query for this..Any help in this regard will be appreciated..
    Please give me suggestions for this..

    Could you paste the full MV log creation script and the corresponding MV creation script.

  • Query against materialized view from stored procedure brings back empty row

    I have a stored procedure that runs a query against a materialized view. When I run the query outside the SP it works just fine. When I change the MV to a table name, the SP works. When I change it back to the MV i get an empty row. Any ideas? The code is below:
    PROCEDURE getAuth     (p_naid        IN  NUMBER,
                             p_scope       IN VARCHAR2,
                             o_xml_data    OUT SYS_REFCURSOR

      BEGIN
        IF p_scope = 'Approved' THEN
          OPEN o_xml_data FOR
            SELECT naid,
                   p_naid,
                   auth_type,
                   xml_data
            FROM some_mv
            WHERE naid = p_naid;
          RETURN;
          CLOSE o_xml_data;
    ... the rest of the procedure ...

    does procedure contain EXCEPTION handler?
    if so, then remove, delete & eliminate EXCEPTION handler (at least during testing & debugging)

  • UPDATING the query in materialized view

    Hi,
    i have a little doubt in Materialized view. i created a materialized view and log with the following query,
    create table test_mv (a number ,b number )
    alter table test_mv add constraint t_pk primary key ( a );
    insert into test_mv values (1,2);
    insert into test_mv values(2,2);
    insert into test_mv values(3,2);
    insert into test_mv values(4,2);
    insert into test_mv values(5,2);
    commit;

    INCLUDING NEW VALUES;
    CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW product_sales_mv
    ENABLE QUERY REWRITE
    AS SELECT  b  from test_mv;
    Now i want to update the query in the MV as 'Select a from test_mv' . for that i tried with
    *'ALTER MATERIALIZED VIEW product_sales_mv AS SELECT a from test_mv;'*
    But it throwing error,

    i guess i am doing wrong. kindly help me here. i want to update it without drop and recreate.
    thanks,
    Jeevanand.Ke

    Hi Jeeva,
    No. you cannot add or drop columns to the materialized view using the ALTER Statement.
    To Change the Structure of the view , drop and re-create the materialized view.
    To Alter a materialized view log, You can use the ALTER MATERIALIZED VIEW LOG. By this,
    You can add new columns to a materialized view log.
    ALTER MATERIALIZED VIEW LOG ON sggi_mrps.emp ADD(deptno);Thanks,
    Shankar

  • Query on materialized view

    Hi,
    Materialized view can't be renamed, so how can I reduce the downtime for any new column addition in the materialized view.
    Regards,
    Koushik

    Agree with your reply.
    I like to do the following steps assuming there is already a materialized view created on a base table :
    1. Add any new column to the base table.
    2. Drop and recreate the mlog table.
    3. execute the statement "alter materialized view <mv_name> consider fresh" to simulate the error "ORA-12034: snapshot log on "<schema>"."<mv_name>" younger than last refresh"
    4. Create a new MV with the additional columns and with a different name.
    5. Drop the existing(old) MV.
    6. Rename the new MV with the name of the old one.
    Now this renaming is not possible. Is there any alternative way do the thing whatever I am trying to do by the above steps.
    Can you please also tell me what is use of "ENABLE QUERY REWRITE" option during creation of a materialized view.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Koushik
