Query on Auto Prepopulate checkbox

Hi experts
I would like to know the usage of Auto Pre-population Check Box on User Defined Field Definition. I have seen the description in design console but not able to relate with real time example.
How can we attach pre-populate adapter to UDF field?

Auto-populate checkboxes in a form

I'm working on a form in ApEx that has several checkbox fields on it, and am having some trouble getting them to auto-populate. Based on a selection on the welcome page of this application, certain checkboxes should auto-populate so that users should be able to opt out of certain criteria on the form.
Here's an example:
On page 1 of this application, the user chooses what type of report they are requesting. Their options are: "Internal Use" "Non-Solicitation Mailing" "Solicitation Mailing" "Solicitation" "Invitation" and "Other." On the next page (the form itself), there are several different conditional items called "(type of request)_Exclusions," and all of these are checkboxes based on a Static LOV. For example, for a request that is listed as "Internal Use," the checkboxes for "Deceased" "Lost" and "No Mail" should be automatically checked so that the user has the option to opt out, and their values should be returned to the database.

You want the checkboxes to be checked by default in the form while creating a new record in the database. Suppose that form page number is 7 and it has a hidden item P7_ID (refererring primary key of database table) and checkbox item P7_IS_ACTIIVE (refererring IS_ACTIVE column of database table and can have values 'Y' or 'N'). Now edit P7_IS_ACTIIVE item and scroll to Default section.
Type Default Value = case when :P7_ID is null then 'Y' end;
Default Value Type = PL/SQL Expression
In the List of Values section type List of Values Definition = STATIC2:Active;Y.
Click Apply Changes and create Automatic Row Processing (DML) process On Submit -After Computations and Validations for insert, update and delete of database table records. Type Item Containing Primary Key Column Value = P7_ID.
Whenever you create a new record the P7_IS_ACTIIVE is always checked.

Query for Auto Calculation based on input of 2 Fields

Hi,
I would like to write a sql query to allow for auto calculation based on the Inputs of 2 other fields before Adding the Order.
For example. A query on Sales Order where I have Item 040634 (Code for a Flower) and Quantity 200.
I have a UDF (Bunching) where the value is 10, 15 or 20.
Based on the Bunching the result should be given in another UDF (Noofsleeves).
(Quantity) 200 / (Bunching) 10 = 10 (Noofsleeves)
The Order will be having multiple items where the Bunching can differ for each item.
Is it also possible to remove the calculated noofSleeves from Inventory.

You may try this: Apply this fms on other udf and auto refresh on the udf mentioned in the query (in your case Bunching).
SELECT $[RDR1.Quantity.number] / $[RDR1.U_UDF.number]
You may check these too.

SAP B1 Query User defined parameter (checkbox)

Hi,
Is it possible in a query to add user defined parameters?
Example, I want to run a query from OITM table with Item Properties as parameter. But I want the users to be able to choose one or more properties as parameters in the query. I would like to use AND as a clause if more than one Item Property is choosed.
Query example:
Select ItemCode, ItemName, ItmsGrpCod
FROM OITM
WHERE ItmsGrpCod = 100 AND (Here I would like to add a parameter where user can choose one or more of the 64 different Item Properties. I.e. a checkbox would be perfect!)

Query regarding auto e-mail notification for ccms

I want to configure auto e-mail notifications for ccms alerts.
I have configured ccms monitoring for our landscape on the solution manager.I went through the SAP documentation and it mentions that we have to do the SCOT settings and CCMS_OnAlert_Email_V2 method settings in client 000.But we already have the SCOT config done in 100.
My question is can i complete the rest of the config in 100 or i have to do everything in client 000 only.

No Shashank. I dont think this is required. You need not have to redo everything in 000 client.
You only have to create the user in 000 client.
Might be you have to create an RFC connection between your 000 client and the 100 client. I will confirm this to you tomorrow or so. Make sure the user has required authorizations in 000 client.

Query on Auto GR

Hi All,
In operation control key in routing we have the "Auto GR" option. When we select this then system will perform automatic GR on confirmation of this operation. I have not set this indicator, but still want the system to perform Auto GR on confirmation of the operation. How can this be done.

If you want to do auto GR on final operation confirmation without setting Auto GR in control key then you can have Production Scheduling Profile(OPKP Configuration) which is having Auto GR check box activated.

Query on auto-refreshing frames / linked .pdf docs on link

All,
I'm in the process of building a website on an intranet which, heavily uses content from a .pdf document. I'm using a frame-structured website (two Vertial frames), with the left-hand side frame used as a nav bar and the pdf content displayed on the right. I've been able to link the links on the left to bring up and display the .pdf doc on the right-hand frame, however after the first link has been clicked the clicking of further frames does not either seem to refresh the doc or change the position to the relevant .pdf bookmark.
My questions are therefore as follows. Does anyone know how to:-
A) Add a html command onto each link which will force the pdf document to reload?
B) Force a refresh of the right-hand side content frame every time a link has been clicked on the left?
C) Alter the .PDF document so that it will allow the moment to the correct bookmark/destination when called by a link selection in the left-hand nav frame?
D) Save the .PDF into an alternate working format which may bypass any potential problems with moving to a requested bookmark in an already-open doc?
E) Force the opening of the .PDF in the browser, rather than in an opened adobe .PDF viewer?
Sorry guys I'm not the most technical person in the world, but would certainly appreciate any help anyone can offer!

You should keep it simple and best practice. Keep lag enabled even if you are only going to use one port on the wlc. When you disable lag, then that is when the configuration becomes tricky and that's why it's not supported.

Weired issue in OIM11g

Hi,
I am having a weired issue in OIM 11g.
when I am provising a resource directly after checking "auto save checkbox" the task system validation is going to pending state but all fields are getting pre-populated as per the logs and they are NOT coming to the process form.
If I uncheck that option and try to provision this resource directly then it is provisioned successfully. While doing this way I just clicked on continue button and did not entered any thing manually. All required fields are getting pre-populated successfully as per the logs and they are coming to the process form.
How to solve this issue?

Query to skip special customer numbers while auto generation

I have a customer number maintenance screen refering table STTMS_CUSTOMER_SRNO_BANK, where customer number is auto generated.
Table:STTMS_CUSTOMER_SRNO_BANK columns are
CUSTOMER_RUNNING_NO , USED_FLAG
Present queries are:

Now an enhancement is to be added that a new table CSTM_CUST_CATEGORY where a range of numbers is reserved for a special classification of customers.

I need to write a query to auto generate customer numbers and the auto generated numbers should not fall in the special customer category like ROYAL,VIP,ie it should not be in the range 1-100000 and 150000-200000.

This query works and serves half my requirement.
Ex..i have customer_running_no from 1300 to 1350 where used flag set to 'N'
and the start_range and end_range I have given is 1300 to 1500.
Now this query skips 1300 to 1350.It gives 1351.But my actual requirement is it should give 1501 as the next customer_running number.May I know what modification should i do to this query to get this expected result.

OID connector - Prepopulate organization

Hi,
We have OIM 11.1.1.5 and OID 9.0.4.12 connector installed. I am trying to prepopulate the organization from OIM user profile to the Container DN field in OID process form. I have done the mappings for the prepopulate adapter in Form Designer. But when I try to provision the resource the Container DN is not getting populated.
The organization in OIM is provisioned in OID and the entry is also added in the Lookup.OID.Organization after running the Lookup reconciliation.
Am I missing anything here? Can someone please help in troubleshooting.

The value you are returning to the field, is it in the Code Key of your lookup?
Lookup code -- ou=childorg,ou=parentorg
Lookup decode key -- childorg

Otherwise, you can keep reopening the process form if you have not saved it yet from the user's resource list and it will fill in the values.
And finally, what does your log say? It could be pretty obvious.

Query regarding approval policies for custom Role

Hi ,
1.In OIM 11g R2 . I have created a Role named SecurityAdmin. Assigned it to a user named User1.
Logged in as User1 and searched for another user say User2
2.Modified its Profile and when clicked on save .Request was created and went to approval process.
Similar thing happened when i tried to disable the user and assign roles to User2.(Note : I am logged in as User1 not xelsysadm)
Created two auto approval policies for assign roles and Modify user profile
Query : Do i have to create approval policy for each process like Disable User, Enable user , etc ?
Is there any generalized way that i make a policy on high level that if Role is Security admin Request goes to Auto Approval.
Please help.

Apex report performance is very poor with apex_item.checkbox row selector.

I'm working on a report that includes some functionality to be able to select multiple records for further processing.
The report is based on a view that contains a couple of hundred thousand records.
When i make a selection from this view in sqlplus , the performance is acceptable but the apex report based on the same view performes very poorly.
I've noticed that when i omit the apex_item.checkbox from my report query, performance is on par with sqlplus. (factor 10 or so quicker).
Explain plan appears to be the same with or without checkbox function in the select.

What could be the reason for the poor performance of the apex report?
And is there another way to select multiple report records without the apex_item.checkbox function?

Thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately changing the pagination doesnt make much of a difference in this case.
Without the checkbox the query takes 2 seconds.
With checkbox it takes well over 30 seconds.
The second report region on this page based on another view seems to perform reasonably well with or without the checkbox.
It has about the same number of records but with a different view query.
There are also a couple of filter items in the where clause of the report queries (same for both reports) based on date and acn_code and both reports have a selectlist item displayed in their regions based on a simple lov. These filter items don't seem to be of influence on the performance.
I have also recreated the report on a seperate page without any other page items or where clause and the same thing occurs.
With the checkbox its very very slow (more like 20 times slower).
Without it , the report performs well.
And another thing, when i run the page with debug on i don't see the actual report query:
0.08: show report
0.08: determine column headings
0.08: activate sort
0.08: parse query as: APEX_CMA_ONT
0.09: print column headings
0.09: rows loop: 30 row(s)
and then the region is displayed.
I am using databaselinks in the views b.t.w

Problem with a checkbox -pls help

I have a tabular form with checkbox for all rows and I want to update all the rows where checkbox is checked .

I'm affraid it is not possible. I have a complex view and I need a PL/SQL code to update the modified rows in another table ..

IF I do Page->Tabular Form->Query ( update/insert/delete ) the checkbox the checkbox appear .

[OIM] Error in Direct Provisioning (with auto save form) - GTC DB App Table

Hi,
I am getting an error when setting up direct provision of a GTC DB App Conn using OIM access policy (and group membership) or through manual provisioning with prepopulate and auto save form.
Manual provisioning with prepopulate ONLY (not with auto save form) WORKS!!!
Some information about my OIM config:
- Prepopulate adapters are set up on both forms (parent and child)
- "Auto prepopulate" and "Auto save form" are set up at Process Definition
- For direct provisioning, I have created an access policy with an associated group which has a membership rule
What it is working:
- Provisioning manually, using prepopulate adapters only, not auto save form. Both tables are updated properly
- All *3 tasks are called and finished with status=Completed*: "System Validation", "Create User" and "Child Table UD_<connector child table name>_US row Inserted"
Testing direct provisioning:
- I have tested adding the resource manually with prepopulate and autosave form configured, and also through access policy/group membership. The error is the same on both tests
- The resource is displayed as provisioned and it is created an entry in the parent table of the resource, but not on child table
- I also observed that only: "System Validation" and "Create User" tasks were executed (status=Completed). But it is missing the task "Child Table UD_<connector child table name>_US row Inserted"
- The error log info displays only an error regarding to UGP table (Groups info) but I am not sure if that is the cause of entry creation on child table.
It seems the SQL stmt tries to get ugp_name (group name) using ugp_key but that has null value.

Note: When testing manually (without auto save form), I got "SELECT ugp_name FROM ugp WHERE ugp_key=1" which it is the same SQL stmt but the value is provided.
My guess:
- It seems that error is aborting the whole execution process so "Child Table UD_<connector child table name>_US row Inserted" task does not run, even though previous tasks are finished with the status=Completed. Consequently, the entry is not created on child table.
Please, any guess or help would be very helpful. In case nothing works, I guess I will have to create and customize a "Update child Form" task as an workaround which would be called after "Create User" task.

My environment:
- Windows 2003, WebLogic 10.3.0.0, OIM 9.1.0.2 BL4, Oracle 10g, Java 1.6, DB App Table Connector 9.1.0.2 (from October 2009)
- Target Resource: Parent and Child Table (Oracle 10g - the same OIM DB)

An update:
I solved that error about "ORA-00936: missing expression" applying OIM 9.1.0.2 BP05. That was not impacting my issue regarding direct provisioning with auto save form and child form.
So please if anyone can confirm:
- Can I set up prepopulate adapters on child forms AND also use "auto save form" on GTC DB App Table connector?
If not, any suggestion?
