Query on EDI Separator adapter

Hi,
We are using B2B Add-On and EDI Separator adapter.
There is a EDIFACT interface handling a particular transaction and version - Orders D96A. For a bunch of the partners (sender/receiver id combinations) we need to invoke a particular mapping and rest of the partners to use a different mapping.
How can this be accomplished?
Regards
Rizwana

Hi Piyush,
I have created one  EDI separator channel as Sender Id as *,and one more EDI separator channel with specific Partner sender ID eg "123456".
When an EDI file for specific partner 123456 arrives it invokes both the default and specific channels and flow.
Is this a bug or expected behavior of the EDI Separator sender channel.
Regards
Rizwana.

  • Comparison between split Adapter in Seeburger and EDI Separator

    Hello All,
Currently we are designing EDI interfaces using B2B Add-On.
I am trying to compare the split Adapter of Seeburger and EDI Separator of B2B Add-on.
    In Seeburger Splitter configuration:
The additional split configuration helps to map the Sender ID, (EDIType,Transaction,Version) combination to split channel and sender agreement.
I believe a List of Sender Id, Mappings (Standard, Transaction, Version) combinations can be added to the same Split channel and Sender Agreements.
    In B2B Add-On:
The sender ids , EDI details are directly mentioned in the channel and it is bound to sender agreement.
Does it reduce the flexibility in EDI Scenarios. Is that a correct point of view?
    Your inputs highly appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Sudharshan N A

    Dear Sudharshan,
yes, I would say that this is a correct point/observation. When the Seeburger Adapters were introduced many years ago, one focus was put on the flexibility by keeping all functionality related to the "format conversion" (Classifier/Bic/Splitter) completely separated from the "data transmission" functionality directly in the channel.
This way, the format conversion modules could be included in any adapter that was running on the AdapterEngine and not just to the See-Adapters.
In a typical setup on client side, almost all inbound channels were using the "AUTO" functionality to detect all required parameters to select the right Split-Channel...so all channels had the same module-chains included (no matter if it was an AS2-Channel or a simple FILE/FTP-channel.
This also allowed for easy reprocessing of any received file (via AS2, X400 , OFTP or else....) by just putting the file again to a file-channel with the same module-chain parameters.
    Kind Regards
    Stefan
Btw... I am not very familiar with the B2B AddOn, but if you have additional questions regarding the Seeburger-EDI-Adapters, feel free to ask...

  • B2B Add on (Edi separator) IDOC AAE Receiver Error

    Hi
We are getting an error, Transmitting the message to endpoint <local> using connection EDISeparator_http://sap.com/xi/XI/EDISeparator failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.ConfigException: No sender agreement configured that matches the message's header fields (sender party: "xxxx", sender service: "", interface: "xxxx", receiver party: "", receiver service: "xxxx") when using IDOC_AAE Receiver adapter with ICO, scenarion works fine with standard IDOC adapter on integration engine
We have 7.31 dual stack with B2B addon sp03
We are using control records from mapping (reciver idoc adapter >advanced>control record in IDOC XML> all options selected)

    Hi,
Yes, I filled the information on EDI separator channel, however this works fine with standard idco reciever adapter on integration engine, the issue is when I use ICO with Idoc_aae reciever adapter
you mean to say I have to use (.*) filling all sender edispeartor channel information mandatorily
what if I have to use the information to filter the message type from a multiple message type EDI file
Again this works absolutely fine with idco adapter on IE

  • SAP PO EDI Separator  Channel Error

    Hi All,
We have an Inbound EDI(INVOIC D01B format) Interface. There are 2 flows involved for the same.
1 st flow: File -> EDI Separator
2nd flow: EDI Separator -> IDOC
Sometimes  its successful in the 1st flow and  In the 2nd flow it  picks different channel (Since we have 5 more EDI separator sender channels) and its throwing a mapping  error since it picks different format.
In receiver EDI separator channel we are getting the error.EDI Separator channels behaves differently each time.
When same file is tested in B2B  cockpit its Successful. So I am guessing no issues with the file used for testing.
    We have tried below options:
We did a Full Cache refresh and tested again still the same error exists.
Stopped all other sender EDI Separator channel and tested still same error exists.
Tried to keep only 1 sender EDI Separator channel and tested still same error exists.
Tried a dummy change to all channels and tested again still same error exists.

  • Change query dynamically in DB Adapter

    Hi,
    Please answer these questions.
    1. How to change query dynamically in DB Adapter?
    2. I have 2 db adapters, if i got error in 1 db adapter then how to rollback?
    Regards,
    kpr

    Hi,
<div class="jive-quote">How to change query dynamically in DB Adapter?</div>
Unfortunately there is no way to pass the query dynamically in DB Adapter. The reasoning behind that is that the DB adapter configuration wizard creates multiple assist files for each operation including the xsd which can not be created for any query dynamically.
<div class="jive-quote">I have 2 db adapters, if i got error in 1 db adapter then how to rollback?</div>
Either use XA datasources or throw a rollback fault in the catch block.

  • Complex SQL Query in BPEL DB Adapter

    Hi,
Is it possbile to write a complex query in BPEL DB Adapter using "Custom SQL Query"?
I would like to write an IF ELSE condition in the DB Adapter similar what is given below..
    IF((SELECT COUNT(*) FROM F5898001 WHERE CT58SRCNME = 'CA_TEST' AND CTJOBNAME = '12345' AND CTEDBT = 'EDBT' AND CTEDSP = 'B') < 1)
    BEGIN
    insert into f5898001 (CTJOBNAME,CTEDSP,CTEDBT,CT58SRCNME) VALUES (#jobname, #edsp, #edbt, #srcnme)
    END.

    In a single pass no.
You could use a DB link to perform select and return result to BPEL process variable. Put a switch decision depending on result in variable that calls a DB Adapter to perform the insert.
Wouldn't be in a single transaction and not very elegant, but might be a way round.

  • Custom query conditions in db adapter

    Hello,
How to execute custom query in bpel db adapter?
    For example :
    1. select * from employee where status = 'N' and address is not null
    2. select * from empoyee where substatus = 'Y' and phone is null
after where keyword - query part is dynamic, parameter combinations and count is unlimited ( depends on business logic ). It is not possible to implement each condition parameter as parameter in db adapter configuration.
Db adatper query has to be something like  : select * from employee where #condition# , but #condtion# need to be interpretated as condition not string with quotes..
    best Regards,
    Uldis

Say your complete query looks like this -
    select SUBJECT_NAME from RELATION
where PID_GID_SSID IN (select PARTY_KEY from  xref WHERE row_id='123')
1). In assign activity, write out the query part which comes after where clause and assign to variable query
(select PARTY_KEY from  xref WHERE row_id='123') , replace the value of row_id from input value in assign.
    2. Now open DB adapter and pass the rest of query as input -
    select SUBJECT_NAME from RELATION
                where PID_GID_SSID IN #query

  • Executing Select query using JDBC Receiver Adapter

I created couple types in Oracle and also new function instead of procedure
Can I execute the above query using JDBC Receiver Adapter.
    select *
from  the ( select cast( apr.get_distribut('', '', '', 'hdfcgd', 'CAN') as dsrTable )
             from dual );
If possible how my message structure should look like...

    Hi vikram,
If you use JDBC as Receiver Adapter you can only post the data to the data base I do no think so we can select the records from the data base.
If you use JDBC as Sender hope,we can the select query in the sender communication channel.
        Hope I am clear.
      Thanks and Regardds,

  • How to set fetchsize of sql Query when using Database Adapter.

    Hi All,
I am using DatabaseAdapter to connect to database and retriving huge amount of data. For improvement in the performance I want to set the "fetchsize" of sql query. I know fetchsize can be preset in Java using Jdbc 2.0 API.Please let me know how to set this value in BPEL when using DBAdapter?
    Thanks
    Chandra

I talked to the developer of the db adapter - and he told me this feature will be available in BPEL PM 10.1.3 (which is supposed to be production later this year, and a public beta soon). If this is an emergency I would recommend going throug Oracle support and have them file an enhancement for 10.1.2.0.2

  • Query operation in file adapter

    Dear All,
we have faced several issues in using polling for production env.
We have to ensure sequential nature of data, which means FIFO order of inserts
is there any alternative to using polling - Receive in file adapter ?
Can we use {query database adapter  - invoke activity } in file adapter ?
Please let me know if any body as any leads.
    Appreciate your response.
    Regards
    Arc

we cant use Invoke activity for Read functionality for File Adapter but there is another way to achive this we can use two recieve activities in one BPEL please find the Sample here $BPEL_HOME\samples\tutorials\109.CorrelationSets

  • Reading parameters from Query string : Sender SOAP adapter.

    Hello Experts,
I have a SOAP to SOAP scenario. Here we will have multiple receivers and dynamic receiver determination is needed.
The sender will send a Value in Query string of URL to sender SOAP adapter. This value in Query string parameter will decide the receiver at runtime.
I need to know, how can we read values from Query string of incoming call? I did tried to search blogs & forum threads but unfortunately not able to hit the right links.
Any inputs will be of great help.
Should i use "Use Query String" on sender soap channel? I tried it, but i was not able to find any query string parameters in SOAP header or payload.
Please guide me, its bit urgent.
    Regards,
    Abhi.

    > But the argument provided from their side is: They are using standard XSD and this service is provided out of box with sender application.
If they can add a URL parameter, they can also add a field to the structure.
    > They cant control the value mapping of parameters in payload to the extent required to implement this change.
Adding a new field to the structure would not affect any existing mapping.
    > Since they have this custom requirement of multiple receivers & receiver to be determined at runtime, they need to go for Query string.
This can be done based on any field of the payload.
    > I need to find a way to read the query string in any case.
This is not supported by SOAP adapter.
    > Can I use one of the header parameters to be mapped to this value  (By selecting "Use Query string" & "Keep Headers" flag in sender CC) & then extract this value from header using Dynamic configuration ?
This feature works only for XI header fields, like message ID or QoS.
    Not for individual parameters.

  • EDI SEEBurger Adapter

We are evaluating  XI for ANSI X12 EDI , Have some  EDI Quesitions using SEEBurger Adapter.
    1) Does SEEBurger Adpater has ANSI X12 Enveloping and De-Enveloping capabilities ???  If Yes,how this is configured /Developed.
    2) Does SEEBurger Adapter has capability of generating sequential ISA control numbers by Trading Partner ??? If Yes,how this is configured /Developed.
    3) Can It perform  EDI Structure validation based on the  EDI standard  rules (For eg: Looping structures, Element qualifier restriction list .....)

    Hi,
Seeburger is a tool which will conver any type of standard EDI format into XML.
All standard EDi mappings are predefined in seburger,we have to install in XI Server and use that standard mappings.

  • Query related to Email adapter

    Hi,
I have query related to receiver Email adapter. I am able to run a scenario for 2 attachments in receiver mail adapter scenario.
My scenario is that I am picking up the multiple files using sender file adapter "additonal fiiles" fucntionality and and post the two files as attachments in receiver email adapter. I am picking up two formats: .xml file and PDF and successfully attached to the receiver email adapter.
My query is is related to Standard module processors sequence.
For 3 files in mail attachments(.xml , pdf & .txt)  what should be the module processors sequence in receiver email adapter?
Currently I am using the following module processors sequence
    1     localejbs/AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean                          Local Enterprise Bean     trans2
2     localejbs/AF_Modules/PayloadSwapBean                          Local Enterprise Bean     swap
    3     localejbs/AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean                          Local Enterprise Bean     trans1
4     sap.com/com.sap.aii.adapter.mail.app/XIMailAdapterBean     Local Enterprise Bean     mail
    swap -> swap.keyName -> payload-name
    swap> swap.keyValue> file1
    trans1> Transform.ContentDescription>file1
    trans1> Transform.ContentDisposition>attachment
    trans1> Transform.ContentType>application/pdf;name="file1.pdf"
    trans2>Transform.ContentDescription>file1
    trans2>Transform.ContentDescription>inline
Can any body tell me what should be the sequence of module processors and the associated parameters so that all formats(.xml , pdf & .txt)  should go as an attachments in the reciever email adapter.
    Thanks & Regards
    Prabhat

it would be something like this, Try this
1 localejbs/AF_Modules/PayloadSwapBean Local Enterprise Bean swaptxt
    2 localejbs/AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean Local Enterprise Bean trans3
3 localejbs/AF_Modules/PayloadSwapBean Local Enterprise Bean swapxml
    4 localejbs/AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean Local Enterprise Bean trans2
5 localejbs/AF_Modules/PayloadSwapBean Local Enterprise Bean swappdf
    6 localejbs/AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean Local Enterprise Bean trans1
7 sap.com/com.sap.aii.adapter.mail.app/XIMailAdapterBean Local Enterprise Bean mail
    swapxml -> swap.keyName -> payload-name
    swapxml> swap.keyValue> file2
    swappdf -> swap.keyName -> payload-name
    swappdf> swap.keyValue> file1
    trans1> Transform.ContentDescription>file1
    trans1> Transform.ContentDisposition>attachment
    trans1> Transform.ContentType>application/pdf;name="file1.pdf"
    trans2>Transform.ContentDescription>file2
    trans2>Transform.ContentDisposition>attachment
    trans2> Transform.ContentType>application/xml;name="file2.xml"
    trans3> Transform.ContentDescription>file3
    trans3> Transform.ContentDisposition>attachment
    trans3> Transform.ContentType>application/txt;name="file3.txt"
    mail --> mime.contenttype   --> multipart/mixed
I have not tried this myself. but it should work

  • Providing Query statement in JDBC  adapter

    HI experts,
Everybody knows we can provide Query to JDBC adapter by two ways...
1st way is by constructing query as XML structure..
2nd way is by giving exact query (Select * from tablename )by SQL_query in access ...
I like to know the performance of these two ways...
    Regards,
    Sasitharan

In XI version 3.0 there is only one way to do lookups - manually in the form of an exit in the mapping process. A user exits must be written in Java.
There are a couple of considerations about performance that must be kept in mind besides just the question of “SQL Statement” while implementing a database lookup using a JDBC adapter:
    1.     The mechanism for database lookup
There are 2 approaches – Direct, Indirect
In Direct approach you poll the external table hence this may lock database for access to other users, also it is an intrusive approach. In indirect approach database table is replicated and the replicated table is accessed. The second approach is recommended for performance reasons.
    2.     Does the data to be looked up change frequently
If data does not change frequently than pull in data and keep a copy locally – as this will improve performance
          2. It is possible to access an external database from within the mapping step of XI utilizing
    A.     regular JDBC constructs
    B.     utilization of J2EE JDBC Connector
Approach 2 is recommended as it is more efficient because of Connection pools.
There is no concept or need to XML code here. The Java code that executes the lookup, would call the sql statement, this java code can  be referenced from within a user-defined function in the graphical mapper or from within XSLT.
Hence you need SQL statement in J2ee JDBC Connector to get the best performance.
    Refer to URL

Let me know if this helps.

    Hi,
I am working in BPEL.i need to write a query while configuring the DB adapter. i need to query a table which contains five rows each row containing 7 columns. my query should be like if i give the first column name(for eg:Title) it should return the complete row(i.e all the 7 columns in a row).
So after deploying during testing when i give the Column name(Title) in the BPEL console it should return the row.
How to write a query such tht if i give any title name in the five rows it should return the respective row
    please help me out.
    Regards,
    Mohamed

    Hi,
I got the answer for this.its working fine now.
    the query is: select TITLE,..... from movie where (TITLE =#title);
The second "title" will be the one which i am going to give in bpel console
so it wil check with the "TITLE" in the table and execute the query.
