Query problem in jdeveloper alpha version.

Hi,
We are using the JDeveloper 11g relese 1 with ADF and EJB3.0.
If we write a query in SessionManager bean like
atcAsmtTstInstrList = em.createQuery("select e from AtcAsmtTst e where lower(trim(e.aatAsmtTstName)) like :assessmentTestName").setParameter("assessmentTestName",
assessmentTestName).getResultList();
i am getting the following error.
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: An exception occurred while creating a query in EntityManager
at org.eclipse.persistence.internal.jpa.EntityManagerImpl.createQuery(EntityManagerImpl.java:742)
if i remove the trim it is working properly.
Can any one tell me the why that query is not working. This query is working fine in JDeveloper11g preview1

Could you include the complete exception stack trace, and include the version of TopLink/EclipseLink you are using in both (the version is printed when you login).

After migrating my application from jdeveloper preview-1 to j-developer(Alpha version), we have a query "select o from 'EntityBean' o where trim(lower(o.BeanAttribute))" where we are getting the IllegalArgumentException which is working fine in J-developer Preview-1, and we have tried to solve the exception by using "select o from 'EntityBean' o where lower(o.BeanAttribute)" and it is working fine, but our requirement is to have the trim to that query in order to trim the BeanAttribute and get the data from the database based on the BeanAttribute value.
Can any one help me on this issue...

How to use Query Builder in JDeveloper?

I am not able to use Query Builder with JDeveloper version 11g 2.
The online documentation about Query Builder:

"To use Query Builder:
Open the SQL Worksheet.
Right-click and choose Query Builder."
But when I right-click on the SQL Worksheet, there is no menu item "Query Builder".
Does the documentation belong to a different version of JDeveloper?

all features of 11.1.2.3.0 are installed.
It makes no difference wether I start studio developer or database developer role.
There's no query builder in the context menu of the sql worksheet.

Refactoring problem in JDeveloper

Hi,
I have the following refactoring problems in JDeveloper 10.1.3.2:
1) When refactoring Associations, Entity/View Objects, Java classes ... and running my application again, I get some errors. These errors are for the reason that all the references to the refactored file/object have not been updated properly and the application can't find the refactored file/object.
2) Some files can not be refactored although the Refactor menu item exists for them.
3) When moving a file using refactor, the file gets deleted from its original location and created at the new location. This makes the versioning history of that file to be deleted in CVS. I think the file should be branched to preserve its history.
Are these bugs or there are solutions for them?

P.S.: The problem in item one does not exist in my colleagues machine although everything is the same in our machines.

Thanks for your reply. I can put the last version number along with a comment that the file has been moved and is not new really but it doesn't help me because I want all the versioning history of the file and not only the last one and I also can not put all the previous histories to the comment manually.
About using subversion that you suggested I have to say that our project is based on CVS and is on the development phase now so it's almost impossible to switch it to something else.

There certainly is a problem with itunes. I downloaded 9.2 and now it won't open. It won't recognize my iphone, either. I uninstalled it in the order recommended by the site, no joy. Deleted a configuration file, no joy. System Restore, no joy. All other software and hardware on the machine is working fine. I call AppleCare AND a local store, either they are completely clueless (which I doubt), or they have no idea how to fix it. I can't even back up my phone, or use the ipod. And since no one at Apple seems to care enough, I'll have to wait until the clamor is loud enough for them to even admit to a problem before I can use the ipod again.

Try this...
Triple click anywhere in the line below to select it and press Ctrl+C to copy it.
cmd /k netsh winsock reset
Press the WinLogoKey+R to open the run dialog, then Ctrl+V to paste, then press enter/return.
You should get something similar to this:
Reboot the computer and the problem should be resolved.
If it doesn't work then perhaps a full tear down and rebuild of iTunes will fix things. See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for details.

Hi Experts , I am currently facing problems while running restricted version copy in sap apo .. The log says 0 location products copied and that the process has timed out. the error message is " /SAPAPO/MVM_INT_SVC_CO_VER_LCW reported exception in task DP00014 " , then ending in time limit exceeded. could anyone explain why this happens. please note even if the log says 0 location products copied , in reality they have have been partially copied.

I am using javax.servlet.context.tempdir to store my files in that servletcontext temporary directory. But i dont know how to give hyperlink
of the modified files to the user for them to download the modified files.

one another thing is that i want my servlet to be executed by my <form action> only, I dont want the user to simply type url and trigger the servlet

Is anyone having problems loading the newest version of iTunes (10.6.3) using Windows Vista? My current iTunes program version 10.6.1 keeps telling me there is an update but when I try to load it the information box goes away and nothing happens. I have tried downloading the new version from Apple web site but it brings up a warning screen of " iTunes setup.exe is not commonly downloaded and could harm your computer." I select the action of run anyway and get the next error "iTunes Setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application." What Gives?

Anyone else had problems downloading RH9 trial version?

I have unsuccessfully tried to download the RoboHelp 9 trial version using various browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari) on both my work and personal laptops. Received the following error message when trying to download the trial this morning using Safari. Has anyone else had problems downloading the trial version? I just ran across download information on Adobe's website this morning stating that popups, firewalls, 3rd party security, etc. must be disabled before downloading. Is this the problem or is there an issue at Adobe's end??
I haven't used RoboHelp in many years and need to get the trial installed asap in order to compare against Flare 8.

Yes probably, your firewall, might be obstructing.
I was wondering, in case you are still facing the issue then you can try following steps too--
1) Go to this page (copy to your address bar)
https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=robohelp&loc=en_us&promoid=DJDVH
2) Log in using your Adobe ID and Password
3) Copy paste each of the below links in the address bar, one at a time and hit "Enter" from keyboard (Return)

Is Anyone Having Problems with the newer version of Firefox?

I still have my older Mac OsXv10.4 Tiger software. I wasn't exactly happy with Safari browser as it would block many sites and were considered incompatible so I downloaded the free Firefox browser (the 2.0 version) of which I STILL have. I'm aware that there is a much newer version and would like to download that, but I've heard a lot of people saying they have been having severe problems with it, but then they have PCs and not Macs.
So my question is for you Mac users that use Firefox, have you had major problems with the newer version? I'm real hesitant to download if I'm going to have the same problem PC users are having...like constantly crashing. Also would my old Tiger software be compatible? I don't want to upgrade to Leopard.

Yes. I had problems with Firefox 3.5. The primary problem was very slow or never-ending loading of certain websites (particularly secure sites and sites with many features). I also have had similar, but not as bad, problems with Safari 4. I never had these problems with Safari 2 or Firefox 2. It just seems that with each update, the problems increased for me. I have read the Safari and Firefox forums and tried many fixes with little improvement. I have come to the conclusion that there is some kind of compatibility problem between the latest versions of Safari and Firefox and Shockwave Flash and/or Javascript and OS 10.4, particularly on PPC Macs. I expect there are many who will disagree and I cannot argue or prove the point. This is just my opinion. And I recognize that my problems could be caused by my setup and not by the browsers. By the way, I do not use any add-ons with any of my browsers. Anyway, I got tired of dealing with it and installed the latest version of Camino about 2 weeks ago. I also did a clean install of Firefox 3.0.13. Camino is working out great for me. It is simple and it works. No problems at all. So currently I am using Camino as my primary browser and Firefox 3.0.13 as my backup. I hope this helps.

Unable to Transport Querys Object (ELEM) of type 'Query' is not available in version 'A'

We need to transport some querys from production BW 7.3.1SP7 to synch with Dev. I know, I know but had no choice but to created querys in PBW due to no data in DEV...
In RSA1, we collect query and get errors for every object (ckf,rkf, vars etc) and when changing dsiplay from hiearchy to list, there are no objects included under the query element.
Opened the system in SCC4 for automatic recording of changes and changes to repository and cross clinet customization allowed and changed the client role to Test.
Tried opening and resaving the query in query designer.
Query is active in table RSRREPDIR
Checked SCN and OSS have yet to find a solution
