I am working on "Earnig and Deduction Department wise Statemant "Report.
Department wise sum of all wage Earning (Basis Pay,LTA ect.) to be calculated. For example, in IT Department there are 10 employees so .Sum of all wages given for these 10 employees is to be added and displayed as a single value for all wage type.
wht i did..... take all deptarment and pernr in a internal table from PA0001. and than want to read the database for all wages with key PERNR and department code .
Plzz tell me the right abap query to achive the oputput...

Strange query plans, and so different results from a view.

In my database (11g), I have a currency exchange rate table, which contains all currencies and their exchange rate to USD. I need to have a number of different exchange rates - To GBP, EUR, etc...
To accomplish this I have created a view, which has one union statement of all the USD exchange rates, with the same data joined back on itself to give the exchange rates based on their exchange rate to USD - ie: SELECT b1.Date, b1.Currency AS FromCurrency, b2.Currency as ToCurrency, b1.Rate/b2.Rate as Exchange Rate FROM Rates b1, Rates b2 on b1.Date = b2.Date
This view works fine when I query it, and returns the data as I expect.
I have a second view that is joined to this view to give a return of the amount in each currency for reporting. This view seems to work correctly when I narrow down the search requirements and have a small set of data.
The issue I am having is when I query the second view and get it to return all the data. Instead of receiving 4 rows per transaction (I am only interested in 4 exchange rates for display) I typically receive up to 2 rows. The first record is for the conversion to USD, the second record is for the conversion to the supplied currency. The issue is that this exchange rate actually includes the aggregate for all 3 other requested currencies (not the USD).
So instead of getting something like:
Amt RC BC (Amt = Amount, RC = Reporting Currency. BC = Base Currency)
60 GBP GBP
80 EUR GBP
100 USD GBP
1000 ZAR GBP
60 GBP USD
80 EUR USD
100 USD USD
1000 ZAR USD
I get the following set of results:
1140 GBP GBP
100 USD GBP
100 USD USD
Has anyone come accross something similar or have any ideas on how I can resolve this?

PS: I can get both sets of results from the same view depending on the filter criteria. Also if I convert the exchange rates into a table, it then returns the correct results as expected.

If the date column is in DATE format, then you ought to have a to_date() around the date string to explicitly convert it into a date so you can do date-to-date comparisons correctly. Also, DATE datatype stores times as well as dates, so asking for data matching midnight of a specific date is different than asking for data greater than midnight of the previous day.
If the date string is a string, then ... well, the string "31 December 2011" is greater than the string "31 August 2013", despite it being an earlier date. This is why making sure you're using the right datatype for the job is important - a date is different to a string that just happens to contain a date.

I have no objection to using a Date but always struggle to understand what someone means when they tell me "06/07/2012" - granted if the day is above 12 or the same day and month I don't have a problem - but it still leaves 121 days a year that are confusing. sure, but just because you find outputting the display (or rather, someone else's output) confusing doesn't mean you still shouldn't use the correct datatype. Store things as a date, and you can then output it in whatever format you like. Try doing that with a string or a number.
Don't say it doesn't happen as I got a birthday card from a company in May this year when I have specifically entered my date of birth as being the 5 of a month (name drop down box on their website)!Just because someone else doesn't understand how to work with dates correctly doesn't mean you can't! It's not exactly rocket science, after all!*{;-)

Plant and shipping point have no connection but still order got created.

Hi All,
An order was created and subsequenty delivered and invoiced. Later on the goods were returned.
The problem which occured is that the return order have plant A and shipping point B, which are in no way connected to each other. There is no configuration done to attach this two, still the order got created.
I wanted to know even if plant and shipping point is different, can a order be created and saved.
Please giude me.

this is possible, take a scenario, suppose one company is having 3 plants A,B,C with shipping point A1,B1,AND C1 respectively. But the requirement is such that they will collect the material from plant A and deliver it form B1 shiiping point which is linked with plant B.
so it is possible to create and save order if plant and shipping point is different.

I purchased songs and they now have and exclamation point next to them and says it can't find the file.

I'm not sure if your account actually has to be connected to iCloud, but you can redownload previous purchases through it.

If it turns out an iCloud account is required and yours isn't one, I'm sure you could connect your account to iCloud now and it'd work just fine. I know I had a few songs appear on my purchase list from long before I connected mine.

In Photoshop, if you choose Help - About Plug-in... - Camera Raw, does it say 8.6?
Seems to me there was some hiccup they found in the update process, which prompted this:
Camera Raw updates cannot be applied
I honestly don't know if the problem could apply to 8.6 as well, which is why I asked you to check to make very sure you really got it.

I have set form fields as User required and yet the form still prints/save when empty.

What script do I need to additionally restrict both printing and saving if the required fields are empty?
You would think that just setting that option would restrict those functions the same as it does for the email button.
Please be specific with your response if you are gracious enough to offer one. I have been searching the forum all morning for the answer to this and I really didn't understand any of the solutions offered to others enough to use those in my own form.

The next question I have is if there is a way to make individual signature fields mandatory if they are digital signatures?
In other words, I don't want the individual to be able to email the form to the next person if he/she hasn't applied their digital signature.

Saving can always be done, even when mandatory fields are empty. This is by design. And that is correct. Suppose you have a big form and 2 people need to fill it out. How can you fill out a first part and then send it to the second person without saving.
Same for printing. Same for your signature fields.
What I would do, is to put a "watermark" on the form that you show on preSave and prePrint if the form is incomplete. Just a static text on your form. Then the user will see that they need to do more. Also, on preSave and prePrint, you can show a warning popup to tell the user about the missing fields. You can then still cancel their action if the user decides not to save/print anyway.

How do i hover over a word and have an arrow appear an point at a picture?

Im doing a flash project for school and i need help!
I have a picture of a Lacrosse field on the stage, below the picture i have a list of words that describe the main features of the lacrosse feild. eg Goals, crease, endline etc.
I want to be able to hover over those words and have an arrow come up and point to them on the picture of the field!
any help would be greatly appreciated and just to let you know im new to this.

I don't know why your field image would disappear... it should have no relationship to the buttons. If you want to be able to click on the words as well as hover them to have the arrows appear, then have the arrows in both the Over and Down frames of the button.
Your best bet is to create the buttons out of the words first, then position them where you want the words to be, and then add/move the arrows where they need to point to for each button. If you edit the buttons on the stage (doubleclick to edit them), you can see the rest of the stage content in the background, which will help you line up the arrows.
You can also add a rectangle that covers the word in the Hit frame. This will not appear at all in the movie but expands the button hovering area so that you don't have to hover exactly over the parts of the letters.

After update all of my subclips have different in and out points

After updating Premiere Pro CC all of my subclips now have different in- and out points. It´s hundreds of subclips and they have nothing to do with how they´ve been before. The In-Point is always the In-Point from the original Master-Clip, the out-Point seems to be totally random. So I can´t work with them at all. Can I go back to the previous version or can I get my subclips back somehow? THANKS!!

Unfortunately - aside from the effect of disarray it creates - keeping dozens or hundreds of files on the Desktop can significantly degrade performance. Not necessarily because the system is sluggish with regard to rendering the icons on the desktop and storing them in memory persistently (which may be true in some cases), but more likely because keeping an excessive number of items on the Desktop can cause the windowserver process to generate reams of logfiles, which obviously draws resources away from other system tasks. Each of your icons on your desktop is stored as a window in the window server, not as an alias. The more you have stored, the more strain it puts on the window server. Check your desktop for unnecessary icons and clear them out.
Keeping as few items as possible on the Desktop can prove a surprisingly effective performance boon. Even creating a single folder on your Desktop and placing all current and future clutter inside, then logging out and back in can provide an immediately noticeable speed boost, particularly for the Finder.
And it is why Apple invented 'Stacks' for Leopard.
