  • Query for listing several values in same field

    Hi,
is there a function for listing more than one value in the same field, only with comma seperation?
For example, I want to group by cardcode from ORDR and list all docnum's like this:
    Cardcode    Docnum's
    21355          98765, 95498, 95164
    21564          95484, 54684, 95654, 98465
    21865          95484, 12486
    Kind regards
    Kjetil Sandvik

    HI,
    Thank for your replies.
We need to update all old orders for sure, but my idea was to use this query:
Select CardCode, COUNT(Address2) From ORDR Where Docstatus <> 'C' GROUP BY address2, cardcode order by cardcode, address2
The results will give me two lines for each customer and count the addresses, so then I know that the count of one of the lines must me changed. Let's say there is 20 orders with new address and 20 orders with old address, my intention was to manually change the 20 orders that is old. Instead of checking all 40, It would help alot to list all order numbers in a column beside in the query.

  • Multiple Value in additional fields using SAP Query

    HI All,
I have a question related additional field in SAP Query. I tried to create report about PR and PO using SAP Query. Since one PR can be converted to multiple PO, I decided to create additional field
    po_1
to display the value of PO that related to the PR. But I meet problem when I want to show several PO number in additional field
    po_1
, I couldn't look the way to solve this problem. Can anybody help me? Just for info, I assign value to additional field
    po_1
    in record processing part.
    Thanks....

    HI,
IN SQ02, IF table is already in JOIN, just click on the PLUS sign to expand the strcture.
All the field showing Plus sign in the strcture are selected in your query and with MINUS sing are no selected.
So you have to just click on the MINUS sign for the field you want to use through table field.
Generate the query and execute thriugh SQ01.
If you want to add some other field which is not a part of JOIN,
then click on EXTRAS Button shown in the MENU option.
Click on Create button and system will ask abt the additional field.

  • How to use FMS on OPCH field to query value on a field in PHC1 form?

    Hi All,
I have a problem. I created a user defined field in the AP Invoice form (parent form-OPCH). Now I would like to use the formatted search to add a query to that field that will select a value from another field also on the same form but at the row level (child form-PCH1). It seems that this is not possible. Any suggestions?
A general question for this: is their any way that I could use the formatted search to query value on an opening form that is inactive?
    Thanks
    Duc

    Hi Sampath Kumar devunuri,
Thanks for your reply. It does not work. I have tried to searched through the forum about this topic and it seems that FMS will not work at row level. Not sure if there is any solution to overcome this.
My query is for example: I want my UDF on OPCH form to capture the description of the first row in PCH1:
    Select $[$39.1.1]
If I assign it to a UDF at row level it works perfectly.
If I assign it to the Remark field on OPCH it still works.
But if I assign it to a UDF at title level it does not (this is what I need)
This may be because at title level the form name is OPCH which is different with the form name at row level: PCH1
I cannot think if there is any way that I could set focus on PCH1 to get the value.

  • SAP Query for difference of 2 currency fields

    Hello Experts,
I have created a SAP query in which I need to fetch data from only 1 custom table through "direct read of table" method.
I have also added an additionl field in the query output and the field name is "Difference" (difference between 2 currency fields).
Please help me out in writing the code for this additional field which gives the difference of 2.
Ex: there are 5 fields A, B, C, D and E to be displayed in output of SAP query. I have added additional field X. So please help me out to write the code which gives difference of A and B fields.
    Thanks,
    Tousif

    Hi,
By using t-code SQ02. Use option direct read from table. Then move forward. you have a code option, click on it.
Here you declare your data as same as your report.
On coding section, you get a option of events. use event and move you code forward as per your requirement.

  • What's the exact difference between "Query Def. Filter Value Selection" and

    Hi Gurus,
what's the exact difference between "Query Def. Filter Value Selection" and "Query Execution Filter Val. Selectn" in info-object's "Business explorer" tab?
I found out that if my info-object A has a input-ready variable in a query, after the query running,in  the selection screen,my info-object A's F4 value is follow the setting of "Query Execution Filter Val. Selectn",as the setting of "Query Def. Filter Value Selection" I tried every diff setting, it won't effect my query anyway.
    so:
1.what's the exact difference between "Query Def. Filter Value Selection" and "Query Execution Filter Val. Selectn" in info-object's "Business explorer" tab?
    2.how they effect query's presentation?
I searched forum, didn't find the answer what I want.
    Thanks everyone.

    Hi Denny,
I will try to explain it again.
Query Def. Filter Value Selection : Let say the value is set to "Only Values in Infoprovider"
Lets take an example infoobject - 0MATERIAL (Material)
Total material records in material Master = 1000 (master Data table /BI0/PMATERIAL)
You create a query on top of an Infoprovider using Material.
Total unique materials in Infoprovider= 500.
Now when you are in design mode in Query Designer, and you try to restrict Material by few materials (for e.g. 1, 2, and 3), for this you right click on material and select Restrict, the pop-up opens with list of materials, this list is all those 500 materials which are in the infoprovider, because the setting is  "Only Values in Infoprovider". Which means then when you are trying to restrict a characterstic in query definition the list of values displayed for restricition is derived from Infoprovider.
Query Execution Filter Value Selection  - I think you already know what it is , its the read mode for F4 help selection.
    I hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • CQWP does not return result for a specific query when filtering on a managed metadata field.

    Hi,
We are facing a serious production issue. We've search the web extensively but to no avail.
    Problem:
CQWP does not return result for a specific query when filtering on a managed metadata field.
    ULS log:
The Uls logs provides 3 different messages that I could relate to every time the query is executed. The last item(level Medium) is displayed 14 times. For readability I've moved the ULS logs to the bottom of this question.
    Query:
    The query is as follows:
(I've translated this from dutch so pardon any typo's)
Query: (top selection) Display items from all sites in the site collection
    ListType: Documentlibrary
    Contenttype:
Items from this group:Custom Document Contenttypes
Items from this content type: Verklaring
Filter: Soort is equal to X
extra info: the field soort (Type) is a managed metadata field that was assigned the value X
    Managed Metadata Structure:
    -managed metadata service
      -Contoso
        -Enterprise Taxonomy (term set)
          -Document (term)
            -Verklaring (term)
              -Soort (term)
                -x (term)
    EXTRA INFO:
When I modify the filter to filter on Title the CQWP DOES return the correct document!
When I modify the query settings to search a specific library the CWQP also does return the correct document! (In this case I am filtering on a managed metadata field).
    QUESTION:
Why doesn't the CQWP return the document when filtering on a managed metadata field over the entire site collection.
Why does the CQWP return the document when filtering on a managed metadata field over a single library.
(The type of information the CQWP should return (Soort:x) is stored in a dozen document libraries!)
    Here are the ULS logs.

    Hi,
while digging through the logging (again) I found some extra logging regarding the same correlation id (see details below).
We have a fairly large term store (4000+ lines).

  • Count distinct on a varchar field

    Hi,
i want to count the unique values for a field, but when i try this in a aggregator i'm getting the following error:
aggrete function COUNT expected a numeric type.
This is the query i want to reproduce in a mapping to update a tablefield.
select material, material_grid, count (distinct season)
    from material_season
    group by material, material_grid
    having count (distinct season)>1
Why isn't this possible in a aggregator?
    regards,
    Osman

    Hi Osman
When do you get the error? Which version of OWB are you using? What SQL do you get generated - look at the intermediate code gen within the mapping.
    Cheers
    David

  • Display value in custom field selection of standard field

    Hi,
I want to display the country value based on the Account selection, that is the country associated with the selected Account.
I created Contact extension BO and added country field with data type CountryCode. Account is a standard field.
I am able to fetch country value but assigning the value to Country field can be done in only BeforeSave.absl
I have also provided validation for this country field.
    Issue here is:
First Validation-OnSave.absl gets called and then BeforeSave.absl.
I want the country value to be displayed once the user selects Account.
    Regards,
    Vijaya Chavan

    Hi Vinod,
    I got the issue.
AfterModify.absl gets called when the Contact Quick Create screen gets loaded and not after selecting the Account field value.
So I tried geting the value directly from the following path without firing a query in BeforeSave.absl.
    this.CurrentDefaultIsContactPersonFor.BusinessPartnerRelationship.FirstBusinessPartner.AddressInformation.GetFirst().AddressSnapshot.PostalAddress.GetFirst().CountryCode;
But BeforeSave.absl gets called when I click on "Save". I wanted the value to be displayed soon after the Account Value is selected.

  • DATASET_WRITE_ERROR :How to know the value of a field at the time of error?

    Hi All,
I have an ABAP code that write some records to a  flat file. Am getting a DATASET_WRITE_ERROR when this program is run.
in ST22 i checked for any info that could be of help.
The Error Text is: "No Space left on device"
    Error code: 28.
Now i want to know after writing how many records did the program threw the error.
I have a counter named WRITE_CTR. <b>Is there any way in the debug mode I can check for the value of WRITE-CTR just before the program terminated ?</b> checking the value of counter each time a record is written is not practical as there are almost 40k records in total.
In ST22 i checked the section "Chosen Variables". unfortunately this counter's value is not listed there.
Please let me know if there is any way i can see the contents of a field just before a short dump is generated.
Otherwise is there any option during debug that i can set a breakpoint on a statement when the field WRITE-CTR=<some value> say when WRITE-CTR = 30000 ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Rit

Ok. Havent used Try..Catch in ABAP. I'll try using that. That should be a better way. Thanks.
I think it throws the error only after 20 or 30000 records are written. So its not possible to set a breakpoint where it writes to file and check which all records are written.
I wanted to know if there's any way to know the value of a filed just before the error is thrown. In the 'Watch' feature i saw an option to select a field and then give a comparison operator and all. Do you know how to use that ? Will that help me to break the execution when a field value equals a limit ? Just wondering what the Watch option is for!!
    Regrads,

  • Refreshing the value of a field in a table and displaying it on the screen.

how do i mimimize calls to the database in the following scenario?
I need to show the latest value of a field in a table in a database through a java program. in a concurrent access environment, there are chances of multiple users getting stale values. how do I overcome this problem through code?
    please advise.

There are many ways of doing this. However its worth noting that RDBMS database are not messaging, event driven systems and are not best suited to do what you want to do. You should only consider doing this if you have a low rate of changes.
    You can
    - Poll the database table and look for changes.
    - Add a trigger to the table to record the keys which have changed. The have a query to find just the key which have changed.
    - When a field changes, also send a broadcast/topic message.
    - Add a trigger which sends a JMS message when a change occurs. (This is entirely DB/JMS specific, you need to find if this is possible)
Again, databases are not ideally suited to event driven, real time updates. There is no simple, clean solution.

  • Creation of a Query to show the values for the current month and the last 12 months data.

    Dear All,
    Good day!
I have to create a Query with the below requirement.
I have to create a Query to show the values for the current month and the last 12 months data.
Can you please guide me how to achieve this ??
    thank you,
    Regards,
    Hema

    Hema
explain the exact problem..? as you mentioned you want to create query to show values for current month and last 12 months.. so I think you want to show values for 12 months from current data.. you can achive this by multiple way..
you can have selection screen and field with date .. and restrict based on system current date and 12 months before or you can handle this at your target.. .. I mean there are multiple ways to restrict data by date range..
    for some more hints..

  • Search a value in one field contained in different tables

In my database, a field name is used in more than one table. For example, the field 'ITEMCODE' is available in TABLE1, TABLE2, TABLE3, etc... Can anyone please suggest a query to search a particular value in this field in all tables ? Thanks for your answers.

The query you need depends on the datatype of the column you need.
you could try this for a number:
    select 'select '||column_name||' , '''||table_name||''' table_name from '||table_name||' where '||column_name||' = '||Yournumbervalue||' union '
    from user_tab_cols
    where column_name = 'Your_column_name'or a varchar2:
    select 'select '||column_name||' , '''||table_name||''' table_name from '||table_name||' where '||column_name||' = '''||YourVarchar2value||''' union '
    from user_tab_cols
where column_name = 'Your_column_name'user uppercase for Your_column_name, strip off the last union and you might have what you're looking for...

    can anybody please help me.
    Thanks in advance,
    Ratheesh

Not sure what you mean either, but perhaps this will start a dialog:
    SELECT DISTINCT a.empno,
                    a.name,
                    a.sex,
                    b.salary,
                    b.doj
    FROM    a,
            b
    WHERE   a.empno = b.empno;Greg
