Query to determine GL segment qualifiers
I need a query to determine which of the GL segments is the natural account, cost center, balancing, and intercompany segments. Can someone tell me which table and columns these segment qualifiers are stored?
Thanks in advance
how about R12? what is the table name?
i use the same table, but doesn't look like it is.
i create a new value in the GL account (flexfield), set the qualifier and query:
select * from FND_SEGMENT_ATTRIBUTE_VALUES where creation_date>sysdate-1
no records retrieved.

what are the tables that i should use?
i found this post:

Query to determine what inventory org a user or person belongs to??
I feel silly for asking this, but it's not obvious to me - does anybody have a query to determine what inventory org a user or person belongs to? I assumed there would be a simple join to hr_locations, but I'm not finding it. I'll check TRMs next, but I don't see a FK in fnd_users or per_people_f...so it might be more complicated than I thought.
11.5.9 by the way...
Thanks!
ScottWhat I mean is,
Where can I know the update capabilities for a Form or a function
I was asked by my manager to make a report to input the UserName so that the output displays the UserNmae and its associated Responsibilities and the Menu prompts registered with the responsibility(Tree Structure) and the User Form Name and User Function Name and the Update Capabilities.
For the Update Capabilities I have to display 'Yes' if the form/function has update capabilities or not.
And have to check whether it has Job Scheduling Capabilities or not.
For this (Update Capabilities), which tables I have to refer?
Thanks. -
Segment Qualifiers for a Balancing Segment
hi,
I was trying to set the segment qualifiers for a segment value (of a balancing segment) , the default value of Account type was displayed as "expense" . Should that be left as it is or changed?
As far as I know, the segment qualifiers of a balancing segment are mainly "Allow Budgeting" and "Allow Posting". Can the account type qualifier be "expense" for a balancing segment value?
Please clarify.Hi,
As written in the GLUG :
Balancing Segment
When you define an account, you must make one of the segments a balancing segment. The system ensures that journal entries are balanced--debits equal credits--for each value of the balancing segment. You should make the company segment the balancing segment, so that journal entries always balance by company.
The aim of the Balancing segment is to ensure debit entries equal credit entries,
Debit and credit are entries made with any account type :
Asset, Liability, Expense, Revenue, or Equity

Segment Qualifier & Element Qualifier
Hi,
what is Segment Qualifier & Element Qualifier in EDI?
what is the difference between these two.
Thanks,
RajeswariHi rajeshwari,
here are the simple definition of segment and element qualifier
Segment:-
EDI documents are comprised of a series of records called segments. Every segment begins with a segment identifier, also called a segment code. The segments are delimited. A special character or characters designate where one segment ends and another begins. Usually segment delimiters include a line return, so we usually think of a segment as a line of an EDI document.
Element:-
A segment is comprised of a series of elements. These elements are delimited by a special character called a element seperator.
Difference
The segment code specifies what the elements in the segment represent. For instance, the first element of an DTM segment is date/time qualifier and the second element is the date. The first element of a REF segment is the reference identification qualifier and the second element is the reference identifier. We refer to elements by their sequence within the segment. For example, we refer to the first element within a REF segment as element REF01, the second as REF02, and so forth.
Example
The following X12 EDI document fragment contains eight (8) segments.
ST850397822~
BEG00RE1234*980208~
REFAHM109~
REFDP641~
REFIA000100685~
DTM010970918~
N1BY92*1287~
N1ST92*87447~
for more details you can follow this link

hope this may help you

Query to check cross segment postings
Hi,
I have a database with a segmented chart of accounts. It has only 1 segment for the company. The client would like to have the ability to post across segments however I need to ensure that the journal is always balanced overall, but aswell as with a specific segment.
I would like to create a SQL query to check all my journal entries to determine weather the journal is balanced on all segments...
Any ideas?
Grant
Edited by: Darius Heydarian on Mar 27, 2008 2:06 PMHi Suda,
I have a journal as follows:
Account Code--Debit--
Credit
720002-002--2000--
720002-003--1000--
720001-001----
3000
201201-001--3000--
201201-002----
2000
201201-003----
1000
In the above example you will notice that the journal is balanced, and the debits and credits between each segment is also balanced. This transaction is therefore acceptable.
If the journal is balanced, but the debits and credits for a specific segment are not in balance then the transaction is not acceptable.
I need a way to either block these type of journals or alternatively to provide a report to highlight the "incorrect" journals...
Hope hope this makes my requirement a little clearer...
Regards
Grant

R12:Enabling the intercompany segment qualifier
Hi,
Customer want modify the accounting flexfield segment 7 which is "Service Type", to be designated as the Intercompany Segment to enable Inter company accounting.
Could you please advise if there are other config changes, dependencies, or steps to be taken before this change is applied.
Also change the Value Set for segment 7 "Service Type" to be the same as the company segment ie value set xxx_COMPANY , as part of inter company change. Could you also confirm that this change will not have other implications.
Thanks

Advanced G/L determination and segmented accounts. Need Help!!!
Hi, I have a client that is using segmented chart of accounts with advanced g/l determination this is on v9 PL05.
I have setup some rules to post to certain GL's based on item and nothing else.
When the client posts an AP Invoice he enters the first line and the right gl is retrieved, according to the rules. However should the user wish to change that GL to another a problem arises.
When the second line is entered the advanced gl determination seems to re-run on ALL Lines in the document re-setting any changes made to previous lines!!!!
I was wondering if anyone else has had any similar experiences, the customer cannot work this way and I'm thinking of turning off "Advanced G/L Determination" which is a pity as he does want AR documents to post by BP!Hi,
I chosen the option like Migrate Account Assignment and Inventory G/L account determination
setting. then i set criteria Item group ,warehouse code, item code because i had to use
three combination For example i have 10 items in XYZ item group then My inventory
account is 100000. But one of the item in XYZ group need to post another inventory account
like 200000 in this case you can either configure item code or warehouse code for this item
under the itemgroup XYZ. similary you can have other type also if you enable (7) -
Need query to determine current logged in user
Because I see no way in sccm 2012 to determine if someone is currently logged into a domain joined computer. Does anyone have a query or know of a way to get the current logged in user of a computer? I am surprised that SCCM does not show that information
when looking at the particular device. I did find a powershell query that I use that tells me the last logged in user but it gives me no indication if the user is currently logged in or if it was a week ago.
Thank you. This PowerShell script queries a remote machine to obtain the current logged on user. It's available on the Repository (https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/d46b1f3b-36a4-4a56-951b-e37815a2df0c).

Do you know the transaction or an document which give the link between the Qualifier segment of an segment IDOC and the SAP field ?
for example : IDOC ORDERS05
segment E1EDK03
qualifier 002 : wished delivery date in VA01
segment E1EDK02
qualifier 050 : Delivery Order in segment description but correspond to PO number in VA01
I search to fill in the field PO Date but I don't find the qualifer segment.
Could you please help me ?

IDOC SEGMENT QUALIFIER DOUBT...
Gurus,
I was looking at a givcen IDOC which was posted. The IDOC was of t5ype INVOIC01. I see that there are couple of segments with the same name but with different IDOC qualifier like:
EIEDP02 which has three qulaifier reocrds like 001, 002 and 016. But the data gets posted only from one of this qualifier record.
What is a qualifier ? How the system comes to know what qualifier record should be used to post data?
Regards,
Rajesh.>What is a qualifier ? How the system comes to know what qualifier record should be used to post data?
if it is inbound it should be handled by Inbound processing function module. if it is Outbound then a predefined mapping (Requirement specific) can tell you which qualifier belongs to what data.
and also Read the Idoc type documentation using tcode WE61. -

With Oracle GROUP BY HAVING, the HAVING clause is applied after the GROUP BY has taken place.
Oracle GROUP BY HAVING will group values that have a particular value. Oracle GROUP BY HAVING can be used in conjunction with other logical functions such as MIN, MAX, COUNT, and SUM.
